About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- rjstewart060 contributionsWell maintained bike from a great company. So I didn't really want to do a full group tour because I work overseas from my home and me and my girlfriend just wanted to spend a bit of time alone together. I have quite a bit of experience riding, so I felt comfortable just renting the bike and traveling with her throughout Nepal. City Motorbike was super user friendly and easy to rent from. We rented the Enfield Himalayan and this bike was pout through so much and we had zero mechanical issues. We road across Nepal up through the mountains, Chitwan, and ran it through every unimproved road we could find. All the while it had me, my girlfriend, and our baggage on it with zero issues whatsoever. The bike was amazing and the company owner and staff were great. I highly recommend renting from them our doing one of their group trips. I saw several groups and riders with guides coming in and out when I rented, and everyone seemed happy and pumped for their trips.Written May 11, 2024
- Whiteturf0 contributionsFriendly and trustworthy bike tourshop!Mr Sujanmaharjan from City motorbikes is a prime example of the kind and awesome nature of Nepalese people. I rented a motorbike with him which was absolutely in tip top shape and had an incredible experience traveling through Nepal. Due to circumstances I had to fly back suddenly and wasn’t able to drive back my motorbike myself. Due to this the motorcycle needed to be transported back from Pokhara to Kathmandu and couldn’t pick up my drivers licence that I left at the office. Mr Sujan was incredible understanding and flexible and arranged for transport and also send me back my drivers licence to my european address. All for zero(!) extra charge. I’m incredibly grateful for his help and greatly recommend renting a motorcycle or booking a tour with him for anyone looking for a trustworthy and friendly biketour shop. All the best Mr Sujan!Written May 11, 2024
- martinadA1244XU0 contributionsUnforgettable experience with top notch bike and guideI booked a one week guided tour with City Motorbike and can highly recommend them! Sujan was always available for my hundreds of questions via WhatsApp and even helped me to buy motorcycle clothes before the trip (he took me to the shops on a scooter). Special dietary requests were no problem at all. My guide Badri was also wonderful, always making sure I could keep up and always choosing a pace that matched my skill. The bike was basically brand new (Royal Enfield Classic) and performed well. The hotels that were booked for the trip were also of a really good standard, clean, with spacious rooms and helpful staff. Overall an extremely professional and friendly company!Written May 3, 2024
- 398dipb0 contributionsBest Bike Rental Service in the Kathmandu, NepalI would like to thanks City Motorbike team for their wonderful support, services and collaboration during my recent bike rental process. I rented a bike from City Motorbike for 24 days starting 22nd of March 2024... All the City Motorbike motorcycles are new, fresh and well maintained. Most importantly, they are very supportive and provide customer services 24/7 with a positive attitude. Overall experience with City Motorbike team was excellent.Written April 14, 2024

- Gudbjartur R0 contributionsFascinatedLast October I had the good fortune of doing the "7 Day Fascinating and Exciting Everest Guided Motorcycle Tour in Nepal" organized by City Motorbike. It was not a big group just me and the guide Mr. Badri Karki and this tripp was very Enjoyable, Fascinating and Exciting. Badri is an excellent guide and everything was very well organized. Nepal is a fascinating place and I am planing to come back next year and do a longer trip with City Motorbike as I was very happy and impressed with their service.Written December 21, 2023
- stevek0ch0 contributionsRide of a lifetime. Total love & respect.Loved every kilometre. We rode the Himalaya tour to see Everest from Pattale in October. And I’m still thinking about it daily. Sujan and his team organized a totally fulfilling adventure. Lots of fascinating riding throughout the day. And good food, accommodation, with great company along the way. So so so glad we did it. We all can’t help thinking we ought to do it again soon … with our good friends and guides from City Motorbike.Written December 14, 2023

- haroldpt0 contributionsAwesome motorcycle tour in Nepal 🇳🇵!My brother and I traveled from the East coast of the US to take a motorcycle tour with City Motorbike in Kathmandu. We traveled in October. We did the Mt Everest view tour. It was Awesome! There is no place like this to ride in the US. We were on Royal Enfield 350cc. The bikes took everything we threw at them and kept rolling with our gear strapped on the back. Navigating Kathmandu city to make our way out of the valley, into the hills, was super cool and exciting. We were ultimately treated to awesome views of the Himalayas. The mountain roads are filled with twisting, winding roads and hairpin turns.. keep your head on a swivel. The roads are a heart pounding mix of asphalt and unpaved with an occasional stream to cross. The scenery is spectacular. The view of the Himalayas from the hotel in Charikot is beautiful. The roads around Mulkhot are super fun to ride. The view of Mt Everest from Pattale is amazing. Pattale is a small remote village in the hills at about an altitude of 9500 ft, it may not come up on a map. The accommodations in Pattale are run by a young family who are super welcoming. The food and drink are great. They built a fire in the common room every night. You don't have the creature comforts of home there, it's like camping in a hut with a toilet. BUT the views and solitude more than make up for it. It's an awesome untouched place. We were able to get a real sense of Nepal culture along the entire route being away from all of the tourists. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at City Motorbike: personable, professional, responsive and honest. They work out of a small shop in the heart of Thamel that has been in business in Kathmandu for 45 years. They treated us like family, truly. Sujan was my first contact, he runs the office and goes out of his way to accommodate your needs. Kazi was our guide, he did an awesome job getting us where we needed to be and safe. Babu was our mechanic, he kept us rolling and took care of all bike related needs. Sujan and Babu's father and uncle started the shop 45 years ago. Kazi and Sujan are long time friends. Nepal is awesome! Kathmandu is awesome! City Motorbike is awesome! Life changing trip! Great way to vist Nepal from the US.Written October 26, 2023
- 451ghazalf0 contributions13 Days Nepal Trip 🇳🇵🏍️I still remember the first message i sent to City Motorbikes a month before leaving, to inquire about the bike rents. I'm so glad i got connected to this gentleman with the name Sujan, who was kind enough to share all the details. He was the person who stayed connected to me throughout and helped me book the bike even before leaving Pakistan. He surely did his best and kept our convenience as a first priority making the process smooth for us. Also not to forget he gave us on a pretty reasonable rates too 😇 As soon as we reached Nepal the first stop after settling in the hotel was at City Motorbike, we were welcomed so nicely it almost felt as home, i cant even count the number of tea cups we had in their office but yes their kind nature is what instantly made us their permanent client 😍 About the bike I'd just say, i totally fell in love with its mint condition. They made sure everything about the bike was taken care of. Hence, i never faced any problems during the trip. The next day we were to leave for Bandipur, They helped us prepare our bikes and also installed extra mounts for my gadgets too. They went out of the way and ensure everything was fit before we leave 🙌🏼 P.S. I would highly recommend to rent bikes from them if you ever plan to visit Nepal, not only they will give you good conditioned bikes but are also there at your service 24/7. Thank you for the wonderful experience and memories. We surely met as a client but left making you all our family ❤️Written October 4, 2023

- Susan O0 contributionsBest Himalayan Mountain adventure Tour EVER!Everything about this tour company and our adventure was perfect 🤩 From first communications & booking with Sujan, and expert mechanical care of the bikes by Buddha and his team, the whole process was flawless and easy. Our tour guide Badri was the most professional, informative and fun guy to show us around Nepal on Royal Enfield 350 Classics. His level of experience and knowledge made us feel at ease instantly and he shared so much local and cultural information with us too. Our itinerary was both exciting and required at times, a confident and assertive riding ability to meet the challenging traffic and rough road conditions, but we were well supported by Badri in all these respects and it was exactly what we were wanting for our adventure road trip. Just need to keep your wits about you and react quickly when a truck is overtaking a bus on a rocky hair pin corner on a narrow mountain road - coming right at you. Adrenaline rush +++ We were hosted in lovely accommodation along the way that was clean, homely, welcoming and comfortable. Its exactly what I expected and imagined a remote Nepalese mountain village tea house or home stay would be and we were definitely not disappointed. We even had a pool at the resort in the valley which was glorious after a very hot days riding. We were offered delicious traditional meals and other simple food choices at every place - three meals a day provided with our package. Happily paid for extras and other “beverages” ourselves as clearly outlined to us. Once we reached the 3000m village of Pattale, we used this as our base for two nights to give us a longer window of opportunity to view the spectacular Himalayan mountain range and mountain top villages and temples at sunrise and sunset including Mt Everest. We wanted the Everest experience and we got exactly that - it blew our minds and we were speechless often. Best adventure holiday ever!Written May 12, 2023
- samhortiguela0 contributionsPerfectEverything was just perfect. Easy reservation process, competitive price and motorcycle was just perfect. Rode 1.500km wit no issues and Sujan helped me with every single thing I asked for. Would repeat and recommend for sure.Written November 28, 2022

Sujan was very helpful and prompt in arranging my trip from Australia. I chose CMB because of the history and family orientation of the business. My guides, Santosh and Boudda, were warm, caring, competent and excellent company. The accommodation were clean warm and hot water plentiful. Food was fine. The scenery and terrain on the ride is spectacular and the riding pace was relaxed. Santosh had good knowledge of the area and its people. A highlight was visiting a local Yak herder family and to share salted yak butter tea with the family in their yurt. I rode a Honda XR190 bike which was super reliable, comfortable and best bike for the rocky roads.
Sujan sought feedback and is keen to continually improve CBM service. I happily recommend CMB for this tour and for hire of bikes. CMB is a genuine honest and reliable company.

Sujan & Team (Santosh, Babu) put together a great itinerary and route for us to explore north western of Nepal on two wheels. Beautiful scenery, people, food, culture and importantly road.
Would recommend having some off-road riding experience but not overly important as I picked it up along the way. As a rider you should at at least do it once! Highly recommended.

We hired 2 Royal Enfield Classics and a guide to tour from KTM to Chitwan to Lumbini to Pokhara then back to KTM (the Nepal version of our Scottish, North Coast 500!).
Bikes were superb. Authentic & made for the terrain. The going was hard in places due to the monsoon having washed away large parts of the road but the bikes coped very well indeed. They seemed well looked after & appeared to have been serviced prior to our trip.
We found the company through Trip Advisor, emailed the owners; brothers Sujan & Buddha Maharjan to see if they could provide the bikes & guide. We already had our trip roughly planned ourselves & they sorted the bikes & guide.
Awesome scenery, roads & people. Our guide Badri Bahadur Karki was excellent. Was a good, safe biker. Spoke very good English, took us to the best places for drinks & snacks on the road. It would have been difficult to do the trip without a guide due to the lack of signage & heavy traffic. He made it all run smoothly for us.
We enjoyed the trip so much we are already looking into returning for a Mustang Valley trip.
If you’re thinking of taking a bike trip anywhere in Nepal give City Motorbikes an email with the dates you are looking to travel and they can work our the very best itinerary with a guide for you.
Top notch & we will be using the company again. Thanks, gentlemen, it was brilliant!

Mr. Sujan and Mr. Buddha were extremely helpful and friendly when organizing our motorcycle rental. My partner and I rented a Royal Enfield 350 and took it for a tour around Kathmandu, Pharping, Chitwan, Palpa Tansen, Pokhara and following the Trisuli River back to Kathmandu.
The motorcycle itself worked fine. The size was sufficient for two travelers with a handy luggage rack at the back of the bike big enough for three bags (2 on the side, 1 at the back). The usual small things happened on the road like a flat tire from a bumpy road or a discharged battery after a rainy night happened however that is a quick fix.
In my opinion going by motorcycle is the best way around Nepal. Some of the roads can be a bit bumpy and especially if you veer away from the highways it can be quite fun going up and down unpaved roads in the mountains. However it is an adventure not to be forgotten. You will meet very friendly people and have incredible views on the way. We traveled in June which is noted as the monsoon season however between June 1-22 we had very little rain, good roads and the clouds could not spoil some of the views.
The pick up and delivery from the office in Thamel was easy enough. Thank you again Mr. Buddha for coming out on your day off to meet with us!
Highly recommended to use City Motorbike for your motorcycle trip. They have great knowledge, know their bikes inside and out and have good recommendations on places to visit.

If you’re looking for a serious Motorbike rental agency in Nepal, then don’t hesitate to contact Sujan of City Motorbike. We rented a Royal Enfield Himalayan for 2 weeks and the bike was in a very good condition and had the necessary space to fix a medium size North Face bag behind the passenger seat. City Motorbike can provide you with helmets and fixation ropes for the luggage. Just let them know in advance. My wife and I did the trip alone this time, but they also organise group tours with a mechanic and a Jeep for the luggage. Probably something we’ll do in the future with some friends. Due to the sometimes-difficult trails it’s far easier when you’re alone on your bike than being 2 plus luggage 😉
