- C581FHjamesw0 contributionsAmazing Manaslu 🇳🇵My sister and I enjoyed 11 days on the Manaslu circuit (MCAP). Amazing experience seeing the transition from Hindu Nepali culture to a mix of Tibetan Bhuddist as we moved through the circuit. Prakash was incredibly professional and was a joy to have as our guide. He put our safety and comfort first and gave us many options to maximise our experience in the mountains! Would highly recommend him as a guide for any trekkers.Written December 14, 2024
- Traveller201750 contributionsWell organized tourI want to thank Shree Ghimire ji for the awesome trip we had to Nepal. He worked about the itinerary with us and tailored one for us based on our inputs. We comprehensively covered all the places that we wanted to visit, since ours was more of a cultural trip of Nepal. All our hotels were excellent and we had a great experience in Nepal.Written November 29, 2024
- xclairelouise0 contributionsIncredible Experience with Base Camp Adventures - Gokyo and Cho La Pass TrekMy friend and I rcently completed the Gokyo Lake and Cho La Pass trek with Base Camp Adventures, and I can honestly say it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From start to finish, the entire team at Base Camp Adventures exceeded all expectations. Our guide (Shiva) was exceptionally knowledgeable, not only about the trail but also about the local culture and geography, enriching the journey in ways I hadn't anticipated. He was always attentive to our needs, ensuring we were comfortable and safe, especially as we navigated the challenging terrain of the Cho La Pass. Our porter (Shandra) too, was incredibly hardworking and always with a smile, carrying our gear without a hitch and showing remarkable dedication throughout. The trek itself was certainly demanding, but the stunning views made every tough step worth it. The panoramas of the snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and crystal-clear lakes were nothing short of breathtaking. Gokyo's beauty is unparalleled, and crossing the Cho La Pass, with its rugged, high-altitude landscape, was a true adventure which we'll never forget. The owner of Base Camp Adventures (Shree) was also fantastic. From the initial inquiry to the end of the trek, the communication was seamless, and they made sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to focus entirely on the experience. Their professionalism and genuine care for their clients shine through in everything they do. If you're looking for a company that combines expert guidance, exceptional service, and a genuine passion for trekking in the Himalayas, I can't recommend Base Camp Adventures highly enough. The trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to my next adventure with them! ☺ ⛰Written November 11, 2024
- Trail307374513260 contributionsTrek through Marsyangdi valleyWe started our trek in Jagat through Marsyangdi valley all the way up to Kicho lake. Each day was a surprise as the landscape changed gradually and the views were astonishing. Our guide Prakash and porter Binayk were trustworthy and agreeable companions! We had a great time!Written November 11, 2024
- vh4350 contributionsA beautiful and exciting trek with great supportThis was an extremely beautiful trek with so many high points and plenty of time for acclimatisation. It was actually 13 days of trekking with shorter days while ascending and longer days when descending and we had 2 much needed acclimatisation days one in exciting Namche Bazar at 3400m and the other at Gokyo near the amazingly picturesque 3rd lake. Our guide Shiva was always helping, leading and informing us and became our trusted companion and friend, supporting and encouraging us through all of the challenging moments as well as the fun ones. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took great care of us at all times both when walking and at mealtimes. Our porter Chandra also deserves a mention for his constant friendly presence and seemingly never ending stamina! Furthermore, Shree from Base Camp Adventures was extremely communicative on the run. up to the trek answering all of our questions promptly and thoroughly! Thanks to the whole team we both succeeded in reaching all the goals of the trek including Base Camp of course!Written November 11, 2024

- emiliat980 contributionsAn unforgettable trek to EBC marked by breathtaking landscapes, cultural immersion, and exceptional guide and porterA Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience! I cannot recommend this trek enough! The entire experience was made unforgettable by the incredible organization from Mr. Shree, along with our guide Prakash and porter Mr. Ram. Despite facing a severe storm during our trip in Nepal, Prakash and Mr. Ram were remarkably supportive, flexible, and solution-oriented. They ensured we were always safe and adjusted plans seamlessly to give us the best possible experience. The tea houses we stayed in were comfortable, and the cultural and historical insights shared by Prakash truly elevated the trip. It wasn’t just about witnessing breathtaking landscapes; it was a deep dive into Nepalese culture and history, which made the journey even more enriching. This was far more than just a trek – it was an unforgettable learning adventure. Highly recommended!Written October 11, 2024
- 679ciaranw0 contributionsAmazing Experience and Great Service!I recently completed the EBC Trek with Base Camp Adventures and had the most amazing time. The experience, the views, and the company along the way were all amazing. I started off the trek in Kathmandu with just myself and my guide, Arjun. From the very start, Arjun took fantastic care of me, making sure I had the best experience possible. Once we started hiking, we quickly went from trekker and guide, to two buddies hiking together! His 16 years of expeience became apparent at every village we visited, bringing me to the best lunch and accomodation spots. Plus it seems everyone in the mountains knows Arjun Dai! Even though I was travelling solo, I made so any great friends along the way. The views along the way were spectacular and I will recommend all my friends try to experience it at some point in their life. And I'll definitely be directing them towards Shree and Arjun and Base Camp Adventures for the best experience!Written September 19, 2024
- 637aungn0 contributionsVery Satisfied.I have to say many thanks to the guide, Prakash. He is really patient and helped a lot on the way to the ABC camp and visiting around Nepal. He is attentive to those who need it and that attentiveness saved one of our friend from falling to the side of the road while resting and a training horse passed by him.Written June 19, 2024
- O3791OOmb0 contributionsMemorable experience at Langtang with BasecampWe are on our way home after a wonderful trek at Langtang, thanks to Base camp Adventures. Langtang is a very good first trek that takes you deep into himalayas in just a few days. You experience green forests along the way. The destination Kyanjin Gumpa is surrounded by tall snow covered mountains, including Langtang Lirung a 7000er. You can climb up to two view points that take you to 4950m. Our guide Shiva was friendly, and knowledgeable. We chatted about his past treks, nepali culture, geography, society and even politics. I learned a lot. Our porterMitra was great too. We could tackle the challenge of getting to Tserko Ri only because of constant encouragement and support by Shiva and Mitra. Many thanks to those two. It was easy to work with Shree during booking. Hotels chosen, at Kathmandu and along the trek were nice. Airport pick up orompt. One the whole great experience for our first outing into Nepal. Wholeheartedly recommend Base camp Adventures.Written April 7, 2024
- GFETE0 contributionsEBC with kidsWe have had a great experience high up in the mountains with our 10 and 11 years old kids thanks to Base Camp Adventure. Very professional and personal service. Started with the (pre-)booking process. Shree answered all our questions, customized the itinnerary and was really coöperative. Thanks for that! Then Prakash, our guide took us up in the mountains in a very safe way, wich was so nice doing the trek with kids. Prakash is the guide you want: much knowledge about culture and nature, very sweet to the kids and also funny to have on your side. Also our two portiers were the best! Thanks all!Written April 1, 2024
- Xanzi070 contributionsEBC + Kala Patthar in 5 hrs and Gorakshep-Namche trek (35 kms) in 1 dayOne of my best adventure holidays ever! Shiva (My BaseCamp Adventure Guide) was a big help in helping create a memory of a lifetime! I was only able to plan this trip last minute and only BaseCamp Adventure were willing to help me with solo trek. Next day I flew to Kathmandu and they were kind enough to also create a memorable mini trek for my girlfriend who joined us for 5 days. EBC + KALA PATHAR TREK One of the best 2 week experiences you can hope for. Stunning views given the dry cold climate of late december & less tourists. Everest base camp is a great place to visit and one of my most memorable experiences was simply sitting down by the glacier and soak in the 360 degree view of being surrounded by himalayas on all sides. Kala Pathar for me though was the special highlight. A notoriously difficult trek, with really (reallly really) windy conditions all day out, high altitude (5600m) and a steep last 30 minute of climb (jagged rocks strutting out). And to top it all, more than half of climbers who attempt it give up completely. We were able to finish it and oh boy! it was the most unreal few minutes of my life being in company of all the mighty snow capped himalayan giants on all sides. Another highlight being the beautiful valleys, picturesque villages & changing flora & fauna as we ascend further! GUIDE Special word for Shiva who helped me build a memory of a lifetime. He knew so much about almost everything! He was like my google on demand and I learnt so much from him. He was also instrumental in planning our ambitious EBC+Kala Pathar trek in 1 day (Actually 4 hours) and then a 35 km 1 day trek from Gorakshep to Namche Bazar the next day. For me, these 2 days (incidentally on January 1 & 2) is the best possible way to start my year and a memory that will last a lifetime. He was also handy with lots of small practial tips which helped me navigate the bitter cold, how to trek well, help me discover amazing local nepali food, connecting with other travellers and most imporantly helping enjoy and appreciate the trek much better than had I attempted it solo. SUMMARY All in all, a great 2 weeks spent. Amazing place, great memories, all made in the backdrop of majestic Everest and the sorrounding peaks. I was lucky to see 4 8000+ peaks amid crystal clear conditions. It gets really cold but frankly now I realize it made the trek more memorable than get in my way of enjoying it :) SUGGESTION Go do it. Dont think twice. Shiva is a great guide and he can help plan a trek customized to your level & comfort.Written January 12, 2024
- Departure530731322250 contributionsExcellent trip with BasecampAs a solo female traveller Nepal has always been top of my travel destination. However being alone also means that there are many considerations such as planning of activities, safety, finances and others. When I came to know about Basecamp tour I was very cautious and I asked many questions. They were very responsive and they gave me a couple of options for the tour. I chose the standard hotel package and I must say that the price was very reasonable. Fast forward to the day of my tour, Basecamp provided good service by getting someone to wait for me at the airport even though there was a huge delay from my flight. I felt very at ease when the person told me that the hotel is near to the airport. The hotel that Basecamp chose was clean and the people were very hospitable. They were so friendly and helpful. The guide in khamandu was very patient and he shared a lot about the history and many interesting facts about the places that we went to. I truly enjoyed my time and I have better appreciation for the culture. Pokhara was amazing too as I tried lots of fun activities such as bungee jumping and ultralight flight. Although these activities were additional costs, it was definitely worth the price. I had a little hiccup in Pokhara (ATM card got stuck in machine) but Basecamp solved the problem for me.. Oh and the hotel (Batika) in Pokhara was excellent too. People there really have good service. Finally I went to Chitwan, the elephant safari was a new experience and an eye opener. With my lengthy message, what I am just trying to say is that if you are looking for adventure that is not bank breaking and at the same time safe and customisable, Basecamp would be an excellent option for you .... Till next time!Written December 30, 2023
- Climber017282856030 contributionsLIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCEThe experience was life changing. I won't loose time on trying to give a feedback regarding all the emotion I've felt along the way. Some words instead must be said about my guide: Arjun. I've met Arjun one day before starting trekking and I immediately felt he was seriously passionated about his job. He didn't leave anything behind and from the beginning he was very close and helpful. For instance he wanted to check all my mountaineering gear and make sure I had every peace I needed for the trek: turned out I needed a better down jacket, more socks and one quick dry t-shirt more; he brought me to those sellers he trusted more and rented a down jacket for me (I paid no money, I also have to thank Shree for this). From day 1 Arjun has ALWAYS been on time. He was never late and always had a "good morning" face and friendly words (how'd you sleep, how you feeling, etc). Arjun's experience is big, although he has been doing it for over 16 years you can feel he truly still enjoys the trip so much you wouldn't ever imagine he already accomplished it at least 40 times. One of the most valuable characteristics about Arjun is that he really knows what he's doing: he knows the meds you'd need in case of emergency; he knows EVERY path, shortcut, village, etc; he knows every meaning behind the village's name; he knows what's the best time schedule to follow for you to have the best service (in terms of: arriving on time somewhere; taking a break somewhere nice; waking up at the right time so that you enjoy the trek; etc). He checks the weather and gives you a little briefing during breakfast. THE MOST VALUABLE CHARACTERISTIC about Arjun is that he has a huge network of friendships. He's got every telephone number he needs: from the jeep-guy to the guest house owner; from the tourist bus driver to the taxi service. He really doesn't miss a chance to put you in the position of feeling comfortable and in a safe environment thanks to his network of relationships. He knows most of the native people we met along the way; he knows every tea house guest, every guide, etc. I want to list a couple of annoying things I haven't liked: -I was asked too many times if I wanted ginger tea or milk coffe. I felt like there was some business behind; -I met two Australians trekkers without a guide and became a good friend of them. But for some reason Arjun didn't really want me to stay with them along the way. The schedule was too strict at times apparently for no reason; Arjun will ofter repeat that he wants "to give you the best service": and I think that's exactly what he does. Last but not least I want to list some extra service he did for me with no money requested: -He picked me up at the Kathmandu bus station with his motorbike and brought me to Kathmandu city center; -He (and my porter Uttam) had my food brought to my table every single time; and dishes brought back to the kitchen also; -He gifted me with his map; -He brought me to the Hot Springs; -He bought for me many snacks: from chips to peanuts. For the price I paid (1300$) I was given an extra premium level of service I would never had expected. At the end Arjun is a friend more than a guide. Thank youWritten December 19, 2023
- H5725ESpaulg0 contributionsAmazing Annapurna AdventureWe had a fantastic trekking experience to Annapurna Base Camp with Base Camp Adventures, and especially with our guide Prakash. It's always a bit daunting when you book a trip like this. There are so many unknowns: will we be able to do it (we were in our late 50s-early 60s); what will the food and accommodation be like; and will get on with our guide. The answers to all those, yes (take the guide's advice and go slowly), pretty good (food was fresh, wholesome and fuel orientated and all accommodation was clean, with blankets to supplement your sleeping bags), and Prakash and the porters were all great guys (knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful). The sights are amazing, the walking is tough but do-able, and the Nepalis were so lovely. All in all, a trip I'll never forget, with a great team who made it all happen. ABC in March was beautiful. Rhododendrons in full flower and snow at higher altitudes. Bring your winter woollies though, it gets very cold at night and the teahouses higher up generally don't have heating. We added in the Poon Hill trek which was a treat. If you think it's going to be an easy trek think again, there are many thousands of stairs up and down to contend with. Our guide Shiva was very knowledgeable and accommodating (with 13yrs experience guiding). Our porter Pramod was a superstar! They were both very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend both of them! The ABC trek was tough but absolutely worth it!!! Thank you Shree at Base Camp Adventures for organising our trip. He is very accommodating with our requests for our itinerary for not only the trek but extra time spent in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were a group of 12 from Bangalore, India, age range 11-57 who went to Annapurna Base Camp on a 8-day itineraray (Kathmandu-Pokhara) with Base Camp Adventure. Shree was our travel agent, Shiva our guide and Naba our 2nd guide, and 6 porters. All 12 reached the base camp.
We had a great time there, our guides were very experienced, courteous, flexible and they and our porters took excellent care of us. We would highly recommend them, I plan to use their services any time I go there.
The only caution I would express is that our itinerary was quite hectic esp for the 50+ seniors, and next time I would add a couple more days to make it better.

The Trek is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, but what makes this experience truly divine is when you can find yourself completely immersed in the journey. Base Camp Adventures gives you this chance to let go of all your inhibitions and concerns. They take care of all your needs from the minute you land in Kathmandu all the way up till you reach the top and come back down to take your flight back. A special mention to our Coordinator Shreeji, our Guides Shivaji and Nabaji, and our 6 Porters to ensure that our entire group reached the top without any hassle. My sincere gratitude to Base Camp Adventures for an experience and learnings for lifetime!

I was doing a solo trek in Himalayas for the first time for which I reached out to them for hiring a guide. While they were were friendly during the conversation and assured of an excellent guide, the actual guide provided was quite unprofessional. He would walk either far ahead or far behind ,e while I would walk alone .He would not take care of food arrangements as well while the other guides would do it for their clients. On one of the days, he would rude and also argued because he was getting late for reaching back to Pokhara. On highlighting it to the agency, they just listened and did not not even acknowledged and apologized for this. Will not recommend at all.

My trip to Nepal and my trek was 2 years in the making. Having originally booked in 2020, I had to cancel due to the pandemic. I have to say, Shree was kind enough to refund me my payment right away. And so, two years later, I finally did my trek. The wait is absolutely worth it! I had some spectacular views of the mountains. I’ve travelled far and wide in my lifetime, but the Himalayas are truly a sight like no other. Thank you to the whole Base Camp team for an amazing time!

Traveled with kids as part of a group of 12.
Amazing views and the experience of being immersed amongst the peaks at the ABC are hard to describe.
Shree and his team of friendly guides and porters had everything covered.. local currency, trekking poles, bags, sleeping bags, down jackets, hotels/ lodges and food.
After reaching the base camp, 3 of us decided to take a helicopter ride back, and two of us actually decided only late night. Shree arranged for that also in very quick time.
Overall, a great trek to cherish forever.
