A Nice trek with fun and value!
I booked this trek as a solo traveler and I was a bit worried, because I'm not used to treks (especially on the mountains) and to find it boring as I was alone. Instead not only they made an effort to pair me with some fun people, but also the trek was easy and they would take pauses to rest. It was really for everyone. When we arrived at the camp the big show of seeing the Himalaya above me was amazing. Also we went through villages. I really did enjoy the trek and the guide and the people I met!

Reliable, kind, generous people
Thakur Pandey organised a two-week trip for me and a couple of friends in Nepal. We hiked to Poon Hill and also through the jungle at Chitwan. Thakur was wonderfully kind and attentive. He was available to us at all times, either in person in Kathmandu or by phone when we were trekking. He assigned us two guides, Ngawang and Krishna, both of whom accompanied us for the hike to Poon Hill, which is opposite the Dhawalagiri and Annapurna ranges. Krishna then continued with us to Chitwan. They were the best imaginable guides. They were both friendly, cheerful, and helpful in every possible way. They were accomplished, good-natured, interesting, knowledgeable, and intelligent. I greatly enjoyed my conversations with them and had complete confidence in their competence. I hope to return to Nepal in the next few years and will certainly rely again on First Environmental to arrange the details of my visit. I recommend Thakur and all his associates with the greatest enthusiasm. Jeff McMahan, Oxford, UK

ABC+Poon Hill Trekking & Booking
About the trekking: My guide Krishna did a great job. I went there alone, and took good care of me and helped carry my backpack. He speaks good English, and we had some good conversations. I would totally recommend him. About booking with Saddhana Yoga: The first booking (3 days 4 nights) was fine. But things went wrong after I asked for an extra day at the yoga center because I finished my trekking one day earlier. It seemed that they didn't get to communicate well with the yoga center. I confirmed at least 3 times with both parties on the check-in day at the yoga center, both told me they were going to handle the fee for the extra day and that I didn't need to worry about the payment. As it turned out, I was required to pay for that on the day I checked out, which almost ruined my remaining 2 days in Nepal and the trust and good feelings towards them. It's not about that money, it's about not being responsible for what you assure customers. About flight ticket booking: For my flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu with Buddhaair, Thakur gave me a lower price than the official website.

Everest Base Camp Trekking
We organised trekking with "First Environmental Trekking" company when we arrive in Kathmandu. Our tour guide was Ngima Sherpa. This is really great man. We made trekk in 3 people (our couple and guide). We discussed how much money we could spend during trekking, how early we wanted to get up, what to see during aclimatization days. Namaste Lodge & Restaurant was a base in Lukla for "First Environmental Trekking" company. I had some health problems under Kalapathar`s peak and Ngima Sherpa took care of me and came down with me to Gorak Shep. We recommend our guide Ngima Sherpa and "First Environmental Trekking" company.

Excellent company: honest, flexible and inexpensive
Thakur made us a detailed proposal, and we kept on making changes of alls sorts. "Thakur, can we also add one day for rafting?" "Thakur, can you think of something else near Kathmandu?" Thakur, it is cold in Pokhara, can we go to Chitwan tomorrow morning rather than in two days time? And Thakur, like the genie in Aladin's lamp, made it all happen. We do not know how he managed, as sometimes we only changed plans very late in the evening, but somehow he made it work. He cares very much that everything goes right, and checks and double checks departures, arrivals, and all the details of each activitiy. He piked us up at the airport, took us back and gave us a wonderful driver, Shuman, a wonderful porter Krisna and a very experienced sherpa guide, Nagwan, who had been to the top of Everest four times. It is good to be in the hands of somebody as professional, and honest as Thakur, who has so many ideas, contacts and resources to plan holidays for all lenghts of time, all ages and levels of fitness, and keep on re-arranging them whenever asked. We cannot recommend him more!

Great experience with First Environmental Trekking
Being part of a family is not something common when you spend your holidays, and that's what makes different First Environmental Trekking compared to any other agency out there. After coming in contact with Mr Thakur Raj Pandey, owner of the First Environmental Trekking he had prepared a two weeks tailored schedule just for us. Pokhara, Lumbini, Dampus, Nagarkot and Chitwan were part of this magnificent holidays. Out guide, Ram was one of the best guides you will find in Nepal. Highly experienced trekking guide, always with a smile and full of passion with what he does. He was always there for us 24/7 for two weeks. We would like to thank the whole First Environmental Trekking for this unique experience and most of all Mr Thakur Raj Pandey and his whole family for the great hospitality. We had the chance to spend our first and last days at Mr Thakur Raj Pandey house and be part of his family. Highly recommended agency for people who would like to experience Nepal from a local's perspective. Thank you once again for this amazing experience. We will definitely come back again pretty soon!

Annapurna Trek
Our visit to Nepal was amazing from start to finish. Thakur (manager) collected us from the airport and he arranged for a tour guide to take us around the beautiful Kathmandu. We had a very enjoyable day seeing the sights. Thakur and his family made us feel at home when we arrived, they were very welcoming and accommodating. Thakur arranged our trek and ensured we were happy with all the details. He wrote a detailed description of our trek to enable us to know everything. He introduced us to our trek tour guide Sumbo (sorry if I've spelt his name wrong) he honestly was amazing, he made sure we were comfortable and happy every step of the way. We aren't experienced trekkers so found it difficult at times, he has the patience of a saint. We are so grateful to him for helping us through this wonderful experience.   Thank you for an amazing, unforgettable trip to Nepal. You have a beautiful country. We will cherish the memories forever and always. Thank you, Lucy & Amy from England

Trekking - Langtang and Annapurna
I was warmly welcomed at the office by company director Thakur Panday who discussed with me various trekking routes for my first visit in Nepal. I chose to trek the Langtang region for two weeks and was introduced to my fantastic guide Krishna ram osti(Sanu). We had a very successful trek of the Langtang valley, Gosikunda lakes and Helumbu region before getting back to Kathmandu. I decided to take another trek very soon after of the Annapurna circuit, Tilicho lake, poon hill and Annapurna base camp again with the same guide, Sanu. Again it was very successful and challenging. I felt very safe and well looked after through out all the trekking and couldn't recommend the company and guide more due to their enthusiasm and professionalism at all times.

Chitwan Safari Trip
We walked into First Environmental Trekking at first only looking for price quotes on a few different tours, but we walked out with a planned trip to Chitwan National Park. Our tour included all travel, meals, hotel, and entrance fees into the National Park. The staff was friendly and informative, and the owner was friendly and willing to work with us and our time frame. First Environmental Trekking arranged everything on short notice, and did so efficiently. The hotel we stayed at in Chitwan was beautiful with a very friendly staff and great meals. Thank you First Environmental Trekking for arranging our jungle safari in Nepal!

Kachenjunga trek (4 weeks)
Great fun and excellent service of this truly Nepalese travel agency; I can only recommend First Enviremental for it' s professionalism, its resonable rates and the fact that owner/manager Thakur pays his guides and porters a fair wage. They will go out of their way to make your mountain stay in the Himalayas a worryless adventure. My Kanchenjunga trek in the company of guide Pasang (highly 'ecommended!) was great. It was my 14th time in Nepal, and I' ll will come bacj fot some more! Marc Helsen, writer/journalist, Herentals, Belgium.
