About
Mardi Himal is an unseen gem and an unexplored trekking destination in Nepal. Lying south to one of the most popular trekking routes which is Annapurna Base Camp trail, not many has set their foot in the trail of Mardi. This trek can be a good route to trek because of less crowd during the favorable seasons unlike the other trails. You won’t be meeting tourists or trekkers frequently like in other treks. The major attractions of this trekking is Mardi Base Camp, the traditional Nepali village Landruk, the up close view of the mountains and the green luscious forest at Forest Camp.

      Everest Base Camp Trek
I decided to book through Ace the Himalaya and I am so glad I did. Suniel was my guide while Govinda was the porter. Suniel was cheerful, personable, and always professional. His positive energy made the journey excellent, and his approachable demeanor ensured everyone felt comfortable and engaged. Throughout the trek, he demonstrated a high level of expertise and professionalism, making us feel safe and well-cared for at all times. Govinda was incredibly hard-working and always made sure we had water throughout the trek. Highly recommend both Sunil’s and Govinda!

Exceptional Everest Base Camp Trek with Ace the Himalaya & Nimesh
I recently trekked to Everest Base Camp with Ace the Himalaya, and our experience was outstanding thanks to our guide Nimesh and our porter/assistant guides, Kaali and Hari. Nimesh's expertise and passion for the mountains made the journey both safe and inspiring. Kaali and Hari were incredibly strong and supportive, always ready with a smile and encouragement. Together, they created an unforgettable adventure, turning a challenging trek into a truly rewarding experience. Highly recommend Ace the Himalaya and this fantastic team!

      Three High Passes Trek
I did the Three High Passes Trek. It was absolutely incredible. The schedule for hiking and acclimatization was perfect, the hikes challenging but manageable, the views literally awesome. Had the best guide (Aamod), who made all of it possible. Accommodations were basic but as expected. I would absolutely recommend this tour and company.

Our guide Madan, and porters Jit and Anil were great!
Our guide Madan, and porters Jit and Anil were great! This is the 2nd time I've done this trek with Ace the Himalaya. I was fortunate to have Madan as a guide the first time in 2016, and requested him again for the 2nd trek. Madan thoroughly understands the mountain and culture, and also guides your trek and experience! The Best!

      The Adventure of a Lifetime
Long overdue but finally getting around to posting this. First, a shoutout to Sujan at the Ace office, who dealt with my never-ending list of questions for a whole year from the moment I started planning this until like a week before I actually arrived in Kathmandu. From the very beginning, he was super nice and courteous and always answered my questions and clearly and in a timely manner. I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. He was an invaluable resource for me during the planning stages of my trip and the level of service I received from him just helped reassure that I had picked the right company to book this with. Second, I want to thank my Porter, Peshal. Our group had a setback a couple of days into the trek and I had to continue alone with him while my guide stayed behind and sorted things out and he was just the sweetest person ever, always looking out for me and making sure I was ok. I am glad I got to spend time with him and got to know him a little bit. The job of a porter is crucial in the mountains and I am so grateful to have had him in my group. Third, I want to thank my amazing guide, Rajendra Neupane. From the moment I got picked up at the airport, he was super friendly and helpful with any questions I had, from recommending places to eat or visit, to helping me get a local simcard and going to exchange money. He said at one point during the trip (and I agreed) that even though we had all just met, it felt like we had known each other forever, which made the trek feel like I was up there with friends rather than strangers. After the setback in Namche (the other person in my group had to be evacuated due to illness), I continued on the trek alone with him and he made it a point to check on me and make sure I was ok the entire way. He kept me motivated, even on the very few instances I doubted that I could make it all the way, he made sure to always stay positive and kept reminding me that the challenge was as much mental as it was physical. I definitely owe a lot of the success to him. I did a lot of research and chose Ace the Himalaya based on the amount of information they had available and also all of the excellent reviews they have. After my experience with them I am happy to join in on all of the great things people have to say about them. If I ever return to the Everest Region, I will 100% be going through them to make any arrangements. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you, again, for everything!

Trip of a lifetime! Madan and Ace the Himalaya hit it out of the park!
Trekking to Everest Base Camp had been a bucket list item of mine for a very long time, and I was fortunate enough to see it through in the past few weeks. Simply incredible. Also, I can't say enough about the staff from Ace the Himalaya. From the early communication, all of my e-mailed questions were answered within a few hours, and once we arrived in Kathmandu, everything was simply flawless. Our guide, Madan Kandel, met us at the airport in the middle of the night (1:00 AM) and ushered us off to our hotel. A day and a half later we were on a flight to Lukla, and off we went. Madan is just simply the best, organized, friendly, great at keeping us informed along the trek, and one heck of a motivator. He knew I was determined to make the early morning trek up Kala Patthar at just over 18,000 feet and kept me going that day. The views of Everest, the icefall, and the surrounding mountains were breathtaking, and were a major highlight, if not THE highlight. I can't end this review without talking about the true heroes, Jit Magar and Anil Magar. The amount of work these two put in as our porters was nothing short of incredible, and they did it with a smile on their face the entire time. From what I understand, Jit's ultimate goal is to be a guide at some point, and he was even with us on our acclimation days and the final hike to base camp (days he could have spent relaxing in town) in order to learn and take the steps toward his goal. When he reaches it, I have no doubt he's going to be outstanding. Bottom line here, I doubt you can go wrong with Ace no matter who your guide is, but if you're able to get Madan, jump at the opportunity!

      Trek to EBC
Had a really good experience with Ace the Himalaya. My guide Pasang was amazing, very much on top of things, attentive and always looking out for me, special thanks for getting me back directly to Kathmandu. Also, the porters very grateful to Gopal who helped me getting through some tough times, and Hem who joined me when I was going a bit too ahead of the group (to make sure I was ok). Very grateful to them all and highly recommend.

      Amazing EBC trek
Going alone on a big trek can be quite daunting, however ACE made everything stress free. I knew exactly what was happening everyday, how I was getting to and from the airports. My guide Pasang Dawa Sherpa and porters Gopal and Hem were AMAZING. I had my 40th birthday at EBC, and they (the guide, porters and other on my trek) made it so special- a moment I will never forget. Pasang, Gopal and Hem made the trip- always smiling, happy to answer any questions, and we even had them playing UNO by the end of the trek.

      Great trips, best services!
Though we didnt make it to EBC due to health condition, trip was great During the trip we accompanied by a guide named RajKumar, he is very nice and really helpful during our trip. Especially when my boyfriend was sick up there, RajKumar accompany us to go to hospital and he always give a positive vibes. And also we got a nice and very helpful porter named Dipa. When on our way to Tengboche, my boyfriend already feels headeach so he walk slowly, then when in the halfway, Dipa suddenly showed up and offer us to bring our day bags. He already reached Tengboche and put our duffelbags in our room and come back to help us and it gonna be easier to walk without carry a bag. RajKumar and Dipa have a good communication to give us the best service. It is really appreciated. And I want to thank also to the company for the fast response answering our queries prior to our depature. Especially when my boyfriend need a helicopter rescue due to his health conditions, the company manage it so quickly so we don’t wait too long. Thank you for saving our lives up there. I will definitely would recommend the Company to my friends back home.

I successfully completed the first trek of my life with ACE
I’ve chosen to go for solo EBC trek and Ace the Himalaya team were phenomenal. My guide Sunil Ghale and my porter Bigyan Magar are awesome people. I had food poisoning since the beginning of the trek, it was putting a tremendous strain on my body on top of the exhaustion of hiking, Sunil was knowledgeable and very attentive to check on my health progression, thankfully, I was able to recover by the third day. During these sick days of mine I was extremely weak and slow, Sunil helped me all along the way, I wouldn’t been able to make it all the way through without his assistance. Throughout the trek, Sunil was experienced and able to provide recommendations based on either general or specific requests. He also walk me through the geology of the Himalayans and the relative histories. I like my guide, he is knowledgeable and accommodating, and friendly. I would absolutely commend Bigyan as well. He is diligent, fast, and has great attitude. Although he has limited English vocabulary, he tried his best to converse and be entertaining. He was able to get our duffle bag in the room before I reach the tea house, and he went beyond and above to make sure we are all settled in with our belongings. I was with another trekker in trekker in this trip, and I happened to be a slower hiker, Bigyan would walk with me and made sure I did not fall behind or lost track. I like my porter, he is sincere and hard worker. I would go with Ace again next time if I had the chance, their office responds quick and their team is reliable.

      Excellent Gokyo - EBC Trip
Ace The Himalaya is the one on which you can fully rely for the entire Gokyo - EBC hiking. Guide (Raj) has good knowledge and experience of these trips. I fully followed his advice/instructions, which made the trip easier. I highly appreciate the efforts taken by Raj and Narayan to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent service from beginning, during the trip, and post-trip.” 😊🏔️🚶‍♂️

We had a fantastic time, walking through the jungle / forest and then up from high camp to the view point. Our guide Ishwor was brilliant and took great care of us through out the entire trip. We experienced more than just the trek. Ishwor showed us the kindness of Nepali people, culture, traditions, and great food. We will definitely return for another great adventure.

This was my first trek and was so happy that my friend and I chose to go with Ace. It was an adventure of a lifetime, primarily because of the excellent guidance of our guide Krish. He made sure that our group was always safe and was comfortable. He seemed to be working constantly to ensure that we were okay. I loved the opportunity to meet many other trekkers, especially the Nepalese students that were also on the trail during that time.

I did Mardi Himal after the Annapurna Circuit (also with Ace). The trek was stunning, and was a fantastic addition to the Circuit. I am sure it would also work well as a standalone trek.

Ace as a company was superb. They were flexible throughout and very easy to communicate with.

Dipak, my guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the surrounding mountains and terrain, and was great fun outside of trekking hours. Because we were acclimatised to altitude by the time we did the Mardi Himal trek, we could push each day and he was very willing to keep going - as a result we did the trek in two days.

Dear Douglas, Thank you very much for sharing your lifetime experience with all. It feels great to know how amazing time you had with trip extension to Mardi. Your review would help loads of trekkers in the future with extended plan. Dipak would be very overwhelmed to see this review. Hoping to see you again hopefully!

Mardi Himal trek is a wanderful trek, it not difficult. Each day we walk around 5 to 6 hours. We start the trek from Phedi, trek 4 to 5 hours and stay overnight at Deurali. Next day we start trek to Forest Camp and continue to High Camp. We stay 2 days at High Camp. From here you can view Annanpurna and Machhapuchhre (fishtail).
The next day the journey begins early, continue up to an altitude of 4500m to viewpoint and based camp. Enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery.
Next morning we trek down to Sidhing from high camp its take about 6 to 7 hours. From Sidhing take 2 hour drive back to Pokhara and end our trek.

We trekked to Mardi Himal for 10 days. Our guide, Ram, and our porter, Kismat, we’re so attentive and patient. They took care of everything for us on this trip, every last detail was thought out and cared for. There were hardly any other tourists on this trek which made the experience even more memorable. I’d highly recommend Ram and Kismat, their attention to detail was superb.

Our group of 11 partnered with Ace the Himalaya for a trek to Mardi Himal in October 2019. The weather was perfect and Ace was the perfect partner. They provided excellent leadership and a great team to help us have a great experience. The trek was amazing; from the first view of Fishtail to the final view of Annapurna South as we were leaving Landruk. Tea house accomodations varied and the food was the same along the entire route, but better than our expectations. For anyone considering this trek, I would highly recommend Ace.

From the beginning, our experience with the Ace staff was wonderful. They were very responsive to all of our questions in the planning stage and provided quick feedback and clear information. Many in our group also had Ace arrange additional day trips to enhance our Nepal trip. These were excellent.

The gear they provided was clean and the right warmth for the mountain conditions.

On the trek, Ram, Sujan and our porters were amazing. In addition to handling the logistics, meals and hauling our duffel bags up the mountain, they shared their joy of the mountains and the culture of Nepal with us. With 11 people, Ram and Sujan were attentive to our safety and how everyone was doing with the hike and the altitude. It was clear that their goal was to make our Trek a once-in-a-lifetime dream trip. They were flexible so ensure each trekker got the experience they wanted. I feel like I made some new friends along with wonderful memories of the spectacular Himalayas. I would love to do another trip with Ram and Sujan.Thank you for a magical journey!
