- Trek052625859640 contributionsblessed, blessed, blessed!!!It’s not easy to put into words all the emotions we experienced high up in the mountains of Nepal. It was breathtaking, mystical, and deeply heartwarming. My 70-year-old mother came up with the idea of going to Nepal for the EBC trek, and as one of her five children, I couldn’t do anything but jump straight in and join her on this incredible journey. As a family, we care for each other to stay safe—that’s what family is about, I guess. But after we set off for EBC, our group transformed into something even bigger—a family beyond blood. I felt like we were a mighty wolf pack, chasing the towering peaks of Nepal, soaring high above where the eagles roam. We moved like a caravan of strong, respectful beings, becoming one with nature. Our mission was to stay safe and continue our path into the unknown. We functioned as one organism—words were not always needed because we were connected, moving in harmony, feeling each other’s presence. As we climbed, stepping over massive stones, someone might momentarily lose balance, and almost instinctively, a gentle hand would reach out from behind, giving just the right push forward to regain stability. It was like living in pure symbiosis, an experience that words can hardly capture. This journey was about more than just trekking—it was about feeling deeply connected to the universe around us. We took care of each other, we laughed, I cried at times, and it was incredible! This is what life is for—to feel it! Ace the Himalaya made this journey a true joy. Our guide, Ram, was incredible—his knowledge was vast, and he was a fantastic storyteller. Our porters became brothers, and I will never, ever forget this experience. I’m already counting the days until I return to Nepal for the next trail and a new adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend Ace the Himalaya to everyone—it’s hard to imagine how this experience could have been any better. Nepal is a place of high spiritual and energetic vibrations, a land where you can heal and experience life without filters. I thank my entire group, our guide Ram, our Porter brothers, and most of all, my mother—for giving me life and always being amazing to me and my siblings. I am deeply grateful for this life. - 767rossh0 contributionsChristmas 2024 Poon HillThe Poon Hill trek with Ace the Himalaya was an unforgettable adventure filled with stunning scenery, rich culture, and we completed during Christmas 2024. Weather was perfect for hiking. I highly recommend this trek for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Himalayas. Whether you're an experienced trekker or a beginner. Sushanta enabled our small group to set the pace. Ace the Himalaya provides a fantastic experience that caters to all levels. Packing list and all pre trip communication was really helpful. A special thanks to Sushanta, Bipin, and Nisha for making this trek truly memorable. Don't miss the chance to witness one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world!Written January 31, 2025

- kirann6870 contributionsAmazing experience with Ace the Himalaya!Had an amazing experience with Ace the Himalaya on my Everest Base Camp trek! From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized. Our guide Milan Adhikari and assistant guide Nijesh was knowledgeable and friendly, and the porters Sher, Bhupal, Jit and Deepak made sure we were well taken care of. The accommodations and food were great, and I always felt supported, especially with altitude safety. The views along the trek were out of this world, and reaching Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable achievement. I highly recommend Ace the Himalaya for anyone planning this adventure! Huge shoutout to guide Milan Adhikari has a great experience over 18 years. I enjoyed having a good conversation with him along the journey and learnt a lot from his experience about Himalayas. Assistant guide Nijesh was like little brother, whom we had lot fun along the trial. His skills as a content creator and photography was second to none. Regards KiranWritten January 25, 2025

- E2322ABdaniels0 contributionsExceptional guides for an Organized and well Equipped Journey to Mount Everest Base CampAce the Himalaya provided an exceptional trek to base camp and back. I was consistently impressed by the professionalism, kindness, experience, and intelligence of our trekking team, led by our guide Ram, assistant guide Sauman, and their porters. It's clear that Ace is a well-experienced company that strives for excellence. Ram's reputation preceded him on the trail, which afforded our group special perks like complimentary hot water in the teahouses and special room allocations due to his excellent relationships with the hotel owners. This ensured we were well-equipped, prepared, and comfortable throughout the trek. I felt safe with Ram and his team, knowing we had the best trekking team on the mountain. Our guides and porters are truly A-players in the trekking business. There were many instances where Ram and his team greatly exceeded their job responsibilities to provide us with the best experience possible. Ram was available to provide care at all hours of the night, his expertise on Nepal's culture and the mountain was unparalleled, always answering even our 'stupid' questions with joy and a big smile that made everybody feel good. When I wasn't feeling well, Ram promptly provided me with medication from his extensive medical bag. Though I wasn't sure exactly what I was taking, it worked wonders and quickly made me feel better. His cheerful willingness to assist was genuinely comforting. Ram also gave us food recommendations to keep us healthy and briefed us on how to prepare for each trekking day. He shared invaluable wisdom about the mountain and spoke incredible English, allowing all members of the group to trek at comfortable paces while providing medical care when needed. Moreover, Ram took great photos of our group, capturing memorable moments, and was a true friend when needed. Being around our Ace Trekking team was a blast. In addition to the incredible hospitality from Ace, the trail itself is truly breathtaking, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I believe everyone who is able should do this hike at least once; the beauty of the landscape is unparalleled. Contrary to what some might think, the hike wasn't too difficult - if you can walk and stand all day, you'll be okay. The accommodations were always surprisingly nice, even up to Gorakshep, and the views only got better as we ascended. I could not be more pleased with our trek up to Everest Base Camp, and I seriously encourage everyone considering this trek to book with Ace the Himalaya. Ram's presence and his team made the journey not just a trek but a memorable adventure.Written January 24, 2025

The experience was made so much better and easier due to our guide Rajendra Neupane and our two porters Gombu and Peshal who were calm, cool and collected and supported us through many ups and downs. - A-Britiot-Abroad0 contributionsBest trip with the best guide! We had the best trek we could have asked for with an incredible guide Rajendra Neupane and porters Gombu and Peshal. Rajendra was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and was genuinely so easy to have as our guide. When one of our group (me!) got altitude sickness Raj lept into action and kept myself and the rest of the group safe and we had an awesome trip. Couldn’t recommend Ace and Raj in particular any more highly!Written January 23, 2025
- rolandb8290 contributionsEBC with the best crewWe had the best trip hiking to EBC with our guide Rajendra Neupane who when things went a bit awry handled the situation with a calm attitude and quick decision making! He made us all feel safe and let us enjoy the hike to the utmost! Our porters Gombu and Peshal were exceptional! They helped out not only with carrying bags but helping when one of our group got sick and getting us to lower altitude, helping with food and all around vibes with the group! All in all the team were awesome and we had a great time!Written January 23, 2025
- Ryan M0 contributionsPhenomenonal Trekking experienceMyself and our group had an absolute excellent experience on this trek, and we largely owe this to our guide Rajendra Neupene and our porters Peshal and Gombu. From day 1, the team were beyond friendly and answered any questions we had. Throughout the trek, Raj was extremely knowledgeable of the region, which significantly increased our experience. Raj and the team were available for assistance throughout the entirety of the trek, and I couldn't recommend their services any higher. Thank you again to Raj and the team.Written January 23, 2025
- 342piyushv0 contributionsVisits basecamp for others, and Kala Patthar for yourselfI went solo and met a great bunch of people from all ages and walks of life. Few people had to drop out as it was their first time hiking in life so EBC was a challenge but Ace The Himalaya supported them to safely fly back to Lukla. Everything was well organised from taking care of small details like what food to avoid at higher altitude (tip: don't eat meat after Namche) to explaining everything about the peaks. Visits basecamp for photos, and Kala Patthar for yourself. You get a peak of Mt. Everest from basecamp but you look at Everest in its glory from Kala Patthar. Visit Kala Patthar for sunset for better views, otherwise you can enjoy it in its morning glory too. There were some teething issues due to a diverse group but our guide, Milan, managed it well. We had a talented photographer, Nijas, who captured memories for a lifetime throughout the trip. If you're with Ace The Himalaya esp Milan, you're in safe hands.Written January 21, 2025

I am so glad we booked Ace the Himalaya for our EBC Trek. I made my decision based on all of the great reviews and also how quickly Sujan responded to my questions while crafting a custom itinerary that comprised of both the Helicopter return from Gorakshep and luxury accommodations (which was worth every $ in the constrained mountain resources).
Our guide, Resham and porter, Ashkumar, were amazing. Resham was so accommodating and knowledgeable throughout the trek, teaching us so much about not only the mountains but also Nepalese culture.
Above all, I really appreciated how the entire Ace team reiterated the unpredictability of mountain weather and level set expectations early on because we had amazing weather on the entire trek but then got fogged in on our last day so the helicopter return was delayed. Resham worked so diligently with the Ace team to find every possible solution for us. The CEO himself got involved to get us an extra leg back to Kathmandu (at no charge) so we could make our international connection home [to the US]. In retrospect, I feel like we paid a really fair price for the service that Ace provided. Each employee is highly competent and they work together like a well-oiled machine. Despite having so many clients during peak trekking season, Ace takes accountability for each guest and I am recommending them to all of my friends who are considering this trip.

We are referred to Ace the Himalaya by a friend of ours who have used Ace the Himalaya in the past. Now we are back in USA and can say with certainty that we are more than 100% happier with service they have provided for our EBC trek.
We have seen all weather conditions during our EBC trek including few sunny days, couple of rainy days and we also got stuck in the middle of snow storm for couple of days. These conditions obviously created some challenges and needed some adjustments to the planning.
Due to snow storm we had to use up one additional day on our way to EBC, This prompted for some adjustments to our existing itinerary. Our lead guide Ram has provided all the possible options given the conditions and made sure we are in better positioned to reach our final goal EBC. I cannot thank enough how our guide Ram and assistant guide Kalika have taken care of the situation and gave us the best possible experience.
As the trek towards EBC progressed we opted to use helicopter instead of trekking down to accommodate lost days during our hike up. Ace the Himalaya management team and our guide Ram has handled this change gracefully and adjusted our subsequent accommodations etc perfectly to meet our needs.
We can truly see “customer is god” mindset from Ram, Kalika and the supporting porter team.
I am planning to take another Himalayan trekking adventure with my family for summer 2025, and Ace The Himalaya in the only one I will use without any second thoughts.
Overall I would say Ace the Himalaya has great back end management team with very strong and exceptional team on the group.
Thank you Ram and Kalika for giving us the wonderful experience during our EBC trip. Thank you

We booked our Everest Base Camp Trek with Acethehimalaya about 6 months prior to the trek. I did lots of research, spoke loads of other tour operators and read hundreds of reviews and gained confidence that Ace would provide us a great experience at a good price. Prem the owner and his team accommodated all of our needs and even customised the trek at my request to provide an extra acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar and gave us a great group discount (7 of us in the group) on the helicopter return option that we wanted. The Ace team took care of everything with supreme attention to detail and efficiency
Our guide Madan made the whole experience for us. He spoke great English, helped and coached us throughout and inspired us to get to the top. Great sense of humour too, we had loads of laughs which is important as the trek can be tough at times. The porters equally were fantastic and I still struggle to understand how they manage to carry all that eight up and down the mountains at such speed and always with a smile. Special call out for Gilip who carried our bags but was training to be a guide like Madan in the future, literally couldn’t no enough for us…
If anyone is looking to trek in the Himalayas and struggling to decide who to go with, I would recommend Acethehimalaya without reservation. So much so we are looking to do another trek with them at some point soon.

To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles, Ram our trek guide and Kalika the assistant guide and 6 other porters who are extremely knowledgeable, so patient, very encouraging, always ready to help with absolutely anything.
We booked a few months ago with ace the Himalayas, to have a best experience, the only thing we requested the company to give us their best guides and Ram is the BEST. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed with the garlands from the airport, dropped us at the Thamel house in Kathmandu, the evening briefing with the CEO of the company Prem, had left all 11 of us with zero questions.
Ram and the team are very well trained to navigate through the trails, provide guidance on altitude sickness, and offer insights into their cultural and historical significance of the places we visited. They also help arrange accommodation, food, filtered water, etc.
I was very much impressed with their commitment to take us to (the Everest Base Camp) what they promised. While almost 250 plus trekkers had to climb down without reaching their goal due to bad weather conditions. We had no internet, no power, Ram is our Power, he looks at the sky every morning and makes a weather prediction, give us an insight on what gear to pack in our day backpack.
Ram’s communication, hotel management, photographic and tourism skills are nothing but an AWE! He is also a great dancer and fun to talk to. Very modest and humble person. I would highly recommend Ace the Himalayas and Ram as the guide for sure.

An amazing experience that you will feel incredibly accomplished by achieving.
The Trek is not for the faint hearted and physically is very strenuous so I recommend you do a lot of training to prepare.
Our guide was Milan and he was phenomenal at keeping us informed and making sure we had pre ordered our meals. Despite the repeat questions, he always answered with passion and enthusiasm, he is certainly in the right role and if you’re lucky 🍀 enough to get Milan as your guide you will have a fantastic trek. Just make sure you’re prepared to put sunscreen on in the dark 😆
Highly recommend buying your clothes in Thamel, Kathmandu. Prices are much better than Western and although most are copies, the quality is very good.
You will have a total 15kg weight limit for your day pack and duffel bag on the plane or helicopter so I suggest that you don’t buy / take too much. I definitely bought too much and left half of it in Kathmandu.
The company, Ace the Himalayas is well organised and professional. They have excellent processes and communication, albeit not the cheapest company you can choose they are from what I could see the most popular company on the mountain. Almost every other group we saw was with Ace the Himalayas.

The trip was an incredible experience from beginning to end. Ace handles all logistics very smoothly. The owner also has relationships with the local airlines which helped get our group to Lukla while hundreds of other people had to wait 2-4 days to get there. Our guide Sushant was 10/10 - very knowledgeable about the area, coordinated complicated logistics for 10 people and was all around a fun guy to hang out with. The support team in Kumar and Harry + other porters were also great. Any minor feedback I had was typically regarding the Tea Houses which in many cases is unavoidable (ex. rooms located on main floor or basement which can be extra cold and damp). I would strongly recommend any tour with Ace!

Just wrapped up 10 days Everest Base Camp trek. Was an AMAZING but exceptionally demanding experience.
Ace The Himalayas has made the complexity of an international trip coupled with a high adventure trek to Everest Base Camp organized like a well synchronized and very personal symphony. Every detail was seen to, every concern was addressed, going “above and beyond” is the norm for this Team.
Our Trip lead Guide Milan was beyond amazing in his ability to manage the technical requirements of ensuring a safe trek, while also handling health concerns with genuine empathy and seriousness . He was foremost an amazing leader of the guests but also of the Ace field Team who supported our Trek. I cannot speak highly enough of Milan’s technical knowledge, leadership and overall genuine presence of being in the moment with us. I am so glad to have had the privilege to meet and work with Milan, who I now consider a good friend. Not only is he a fantastic guide, he is also a wonderful ambassador for Nepal!
Not all trip organizers are the equal! Do your research! I highly recommend Ace the Himalayas and I HIGHLY recommend that if you do plan a trek that you request Milan as your Guide, you will not regret it and he will ensure your trek success!
Happy Trekking!

Father and Son just returned home from our adventure on the Mount Everest Base Camp Trek.
After ACE was recommenced to us by a friend in Australia, we booked with ACE the Himalaya and had such an incredible and unforgettable experience. From day 1, and throughout the booking process, Sujan from ACE was extremely patient and thorough in answering all of our questions in relation to the trek. After arriving in Kathmandu, and prior to commencing the trek, ACE performed a pre-brief meeting covering off on what to expect including a safety brief and answering any last questions. Suffering from chronic Asthma, I was extremely pleased to see that safety was paramount for ACE and this was evident at all times.
We flew direct from Kathmandu to Lukla via helicopter which avoided a 5hr car ride, well worth it in our eyes. The trek itself was breath taking. Yes, it was without a doubt difficulty and challenging at times, but the scenery was both surreal and mesmerizing. We met so many amazing people along the trek, both travelling and also locals. The hospitality we received during the trek was incredible.
To our guide Madan (Maddy) and our porta Jit. To say we struck gold with these two gents would be an understatement. Madan was the best, a true professional with a balanced approach and a tremendous amount of local knowledge. Maddy was in tune with the mountains, the people and as we were relatively inexperienced trekkers, he knew exactly what we needed and when. There were a number of times when I was physically struggling and Maddy had the right balance of encouragement, support and advice. My son and I formed a special bond with Maddy and truly believe out trip was special due to the relationship we shared with our guide Maddy. Our porta Jit was also exceptional. Nothing was ever a problem and he was always there to help in any way he could. Jit had a great sense of humour and was always happy to share a laugh and engage with us, just another memorable experience we had that we will treasure.
I have been fortunate to have travelled and seen a lot of the world, however right or wrong, I have rarely provided any written feedback on our journeys. I do however after our experience feel strongly about supporting ACE the Himalaya. Everything about ACE and our journey from start to finish was nothing but professional and it was clear that Prem and his entire ACE team (including our guide Maddy and porta Jit) wanted nothing more than to provide the best overall experience possible.
Thankyou to ACE the Himalaya for providing this experience of a lifetime that my son and I will never forget.
After ACE was recommenced to us by a friend in Australia, we booked with ACE the Himalaya and had such an incredible and unforgettable experience. From day 1, and throughout the booking process, Sujan from ACE was extremely patient and thorough in answering all of our questions in relation to the trek. I highly recommend booking Ace the Himalaya for the Everest Base Camp trek. Their communication throughout our journey was excellent -- they were quick to answer questions and resolve issues before the trip, during the trek, and even afterwards when I requested documentation for insurance purposes. We ended up having a two day delay at the end of the trip due to weather (it happens), and Ace the Himalaya handled the situation as well as you can expect. Our guide Resham was also fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the region's history, always on time, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the journey. Thanks Resham for a great trip!

This was a phenomenal trip. Our guide (Ram) and assistant guide were experts in the area and in high altitude trekking. Traveling in Nepal can be stressful due to weather conditions particularly at Lukla, but Ace was adaptable and well connected to get the trip done. I think there is a great benefit going with a Nepalise based company, and Ace handled complicated logistics perfectly.
It was my 40th birthday, so Ram and his team actually brought up a cake to Everest Basecamp and we had a dance party in the Khumbu Icefall! They made my 40th birthday, infinitely special. Ram was also so personable we all wanted to be around him, a true friend. The assistant guide was so joyful and hard working, taking care of us every step of the way.
Consider helicopter as the most reliable way into and out of Lukla.
Could not recommend Ace the Himalaya enough.
