Second time with DWT, same result! PERFECTION! This time around I was able to visit and stay in the beautiful Ruby Valley, home of most of the guides, porters and the manager Paul. I'm so grateful to be given the opportunity to expirience the daily life in this remote region and its villages, far from tourists, noise and modern society. A whole completly wonderful experience guided by Nabin and Rupesh (guide and porter). They took care of me and treated me like a brother, lots of fun moments together and always with a smile in their faces! Could not ask for better company on this genuine and authentic trip to the core of Nepal. It's like we went back in time to the countryside and forget about machines and laptops! I will come back for sure. DWT was family 3 years ago when we met, is family now with my second visit and will be family in my next one! Two colleagues and I booked our trek months in advance. We selected Discovery World Trekking based on excellent reviews and our experience corroborates this. Paul replied to all queries promptly and clearly, and organized online briefing months before departure. When one of the people in our group cancelled, Paul could have kept the deposit. Instead, he simply divided the sum already paid between three remaining attendants. That was a very kind gesture. Our guide Prem was awesome too. Very experienced, attentive and proactive in keeping the group comfortable and in good spirits. The trek itself was beautiful so that helped. Porters Durga and Lukman were also great. Doing Three Pass trek in December is a challenging proposition due to weather conditions. Paul highlighted months in advance that we will need to adjust to circumstance. Our guide Prem was very good at communicating the current conditions in the passes ahead and how it may impact our plans. He was providing clear guidance but always leaving options for the group to decide. We always listened to his advice. At some point we ran into altitude related issues. Prem monitored our situation closely, while also keeping close communication with Paul in Kathmandu office. I felt in very safe hands at all times. Difficult decision to evacuate was taken after Gorakshep. At all times I could see that Discovery World Trekking emphasized safety over all else, and that they had very good and transparent communication channels internally as well as with us. Highly recommend their services.

Went on a 5D4N Mardi Himal Trek with Discovery World Trekking as there were a couple of us who were new to trekking - both in general and at a high altitude! While I initially found having 2 guides and 3 porters for 6 pax excessive, I was corrected in day 1 when I realised just how much help they were. Given that my group had folks who prefer to trek fast and slower, the guides made sure to split themselves up to ensure both spectrums are taken care of. Case in point was when I was the only one who wanted to further beyond view point on the last stretch, while the rest of my crew preferred to return. Besides the above, Manis (Guide) and Durga (Assistant Guide) were always positive, encouraging and attentive. From making sure we’re comfortable at guesthouses, sharing their culture with us and cheering us on while trekking, the best part was easily the early morning group dance that really boosted our morale - heck, they've even got the guest house to bring out their speakers to set the mood! In all, we never thought we’d appreciate having guides and porters this much and they’ve made the trek real fun and memorable. Thank you Paul, Manis, Durga and team!

I booked this trip with Discovery on a very short notice and everything has been just amazing. From the beginning, Paul the owner was taking very much care of me. He has helped me to choose the right trek, gave me a perfect online briefing and has organized everything just in time and perfectly. I got picked up from the airport in Kathmandu from my Guide (Hari). Well what can I say, Hari is just amazing. From simply being a customer, we became friends within just a day. So my whole trip felt like I was around family and friends. Adding to this also my Porter Kerdal has done such an amazing job. Honestly I call him the strongest man on the mountain 😂. I already told Hari, I definitely will come back to do more trekking with them. Everyone keeps on telling that this has been a once in a lifetime experience, I think it’s rather just been the beginning 🏔️. I can highly recommend this company, they truly take care, give you small little surprise gifts (can’t tell, otherwise it won’t be a surprise anymore haha), but they truly are amazing and caring. We had the best experience on our ebc via gokyo and cho la pass trekking with guide Sanjaya and porter Pherba. They took such good care of us and made sure we had the best of times. Owner Paul was very involved and helpfull. The food and the lodges were great. Would recommend them any time! Beautiful trekking!!

It was an amazing experience. Wandering thru the region and seeing the snow capped mountains of Sagarmatha region is out of this world experience. Moreover our guide Prem was really helpful. He gave detail briefing on the route that we are going to take, checked our health condition regularly (especially in this winter trek, and I'm a tropical person), and even get most of our needs in the tea houses. I'm sure I'll book another trip with them, since Gokyo Lakes, Langtang Valley are still in my list. Many thanks Paul Gurung & Prem, see you again!

I could not have asked for a better team. Paul was very helpful and organized during the planning and booking process. Throughout the trip he was always available to lend support and answer questions. Our guide, Prem, was amazing. His time estimates were always spot on. He knew how to underpromise and over deliver so we either got what we expected or were pleasantly surprised. He also knew when to stand up to clients for their own safety. One night, after a long hike, I refused to eat and wanted to go to bed. He made me eat. It felt childish at the time, but I thanked him the next day. He prevented me from getting sick. Putting a clients needs ahead of their wants is not easy. But, when safety is at stake you need a guide who will do that. Our porters, Durga and Lakman, not only carried our stuff they were a lot of fun. They were knowledgeable and kind. I felt bad because on the last night they arranged a cake and celebration. I was sooooo tired I feel like I never properly thanked them. This entire team was amazing and I highly recommend them.

I was very demanding in 7 days short trekking to ABC. Discovery made all of my wishes come true. 1. Morning sun light in ABC My guide Padam adjusted the walk itinerary on the spot consulting with Paul in Kathmandu so that I am in the right time. We had snow day. Thanks to the adjustment, I relaxed in ABC lodge when snow was falling and enjoyed the perfect sunrise the next morning. 2. Extended walk Padam extended the walk everyday knowing I love long walk. We reached Phedi in 7 days, which is usually the destination of 9 days walk. 3. Private experience The walk was quiet and peaceful, not bothered by other group tourists. I occupied famous Jinu hot spring all to myself. This is thanks to the private walk itinerary different from the one for other group tourists. 4. Panorama stay Padam selected the view room with his local knowledge. Stay in the corner room facing both Annapurna and deep valley was wonderful. In breakfast, I enjoyed Annapurna shining in the morning sun. My porter Sunil brought my breakfast from kitchen to Annapurna view deck. Thank you for the special customizations for me. I will use Discovery next time.

We looked at a few trekking companies and chose DWT as they were pro from the start. We had a wonderful 11d ABC trek with excellent food and accommodation along the way. Rohan and Rupis, our guide and porter, were amazing throughout. They looked after us both and we had a good laugh. Paul, the owner, runs a very high quality operation and even checked in personally during the trek. We will be back soon and will recommend to our friends. Namaste!

Wonderful trek and trip overall. We did the annapurna circuit trek, withiut tilicho lake. Simbir was a fantastic lead guide and was extremely attentive to our needs. Bimal was wonderful as an assistant guide and could have easily been leading his own trek; He was kind and helpful the whole way. Suria, Asis, Monise, and Hari were amazing porters who went above and beyond in their jobs. The trek itself was stunning and the service was fantastic. Highly reccomend Discovery World Trekking.
