- magdafong00Amazing adventures on the Helambu trek with Himalayan Wanderers Walkers! Our Helambu trek was amazing in every way. When we initially reached out to Dawa, the owner of HWW he responded promptly and worked with us to make the best possible itinerary suited for us. We communicated on WhatsApp and emails. Dawa answered our questions and gave us helpful tips. He made it easy and convenient by allowing us to make the payment upon arrival in Kathmandu. During the introductory dinner, we met our guide, Tenzin. We had a delicious Tibetan food and were able to ask the last minute questions. Afterwards we all went to rent our sleeping bags and trekking poles. On the trek, Tenzin impressed us with his knowledge of farming and native plants. He also played banjo for us and knew most of the hosts in the tea houses we stayed in so the atmosphere was friendly and easy going. He helped us with meal ordering and deciding when to take a break on the trek. One day, when we were close to his house he grew up in, Tenzin invited us to his home for a meal which he made with his father. It was so special to be eating delicious meal made from the home grown food in the vastness of the mountains. Lama Singe, our porter was always cheerful and kept a steady pace. He was attentive to our needs and was always helpful during steep crossings. We really enjoyed Tenzin and Lama Singe’s company which made our trek unforgettable.
- Annie N00Kanchenjunga dreamWonderfully remote, spectacular landscape. The villages, the families in the more remote tea houses…all is unforgettable and stays in your heart. Sudip and Chatur made this trip for us. Their experience and their kindness and understanding for our journey made this trip a dream of a lifetime. Outstanding choice of guide/porter team for our small group of 2. Thanks Dawa.
- ShellyPDXLocal00Excellent Cultural Experience and GuidesWhile physically challenging, we had a joyous adventure with guides who treated us to local knowledge and experiences. Upon reflection, I suspect this was very unique and unlike any other options we considered. Our original plan was to go on a longer trek with higher elevation. I’m so glad we scaled back with an emphasis on learning about the Nepalese culture. The teahouses were wonderful, and everyone was so friendly. Very high marks for an authentic experience. Thank you, Dawa and everyone at Himalayan Wonder Walkers!
- DavidBSavage00ExceptionalDawa and company provided exceptional guidance and value for our month in Nepal including our 21 day trek in the Tsum, Nubri and Manaslu Valleys.
- jimandjoleneb00OutstandingThe trip was outstanding! We had great weather and beautiful! Only issue was rows 5-7 had the engine and props so missed some better photos
- walterskatrin00Amazing two weeks on the Manaslu Circuit! In September / October 2023 my husband and I did the Manaslu Circuit with the Himalayan Wander Walkers and it was just amazing. Tsering Dhargyal was the perfect tour guide as he is grown up in a village nearby and has an excellent knowledge about the Manaslu Conservation Area. While hiking trough this wonderful nature we learned so much about the flora and fauna as well as the villages and the people living there. Guided by Tsering we always felt very safe because of his big experience in the mountains and especially in this area. Another big advantage was also that we could plan flexible day by day with regard on the weather forecast and our personal fitness level. Tsering proposed always interesting options and amazing sidewalks and supported us during the trek whenever needed. The organization and communication before, during and after the trek was also excellent. All in all we can highly recommend a trekking tour with the Himalayan Wander Walkers and we hope it wasn't our last time!
- RamonG54900Great Experienc in MUSTANGI had a wonderful single trip (Jeep-Tour) through the Mustang Valley (Upper Mustang) – organised by the great agency of DAWA – Himalayan Wonder Walkers. It started in Kathmandu (interesting visits of the three main temples) and going on to Pokhara in a very comfortable tourist bus (6h) -very bad roads. I was accompanied by “Babu”, my guide for 14 days, a young, very interesting fellow- full of talents and spontaneity. From there on we changed to a Jeep and met our first driver. The tour till Lo Mantang and back to Pokhara was full of adventure, which Ratnan (our second great driver) and Bobu could easily master. Babo was very helpful in meeting special people as well as showing more than what is written in the itinerary. With these two guys on my side, I never had any feeling of fear, even the roads were extremely bad and risky. DAWA organised everything (Hotels, Guesthouses, tours) extremely well and my 3 weeks went very well. My last three days I stayed in the Chitwan National Parc to watch crocodiles and rhinoceros and a lot of other animals. I easily can recommend this agency and Babu from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for the great Nepal (Mustang!)- experience in my life.
- 40elijahg00Wonderful guiding surviveMy friend and I hiked in the Langtang Valley with Dorjee, or guide from HWW. At first we didn't want to have a guide as we are experienced backpackers and enjoy solitude, but the law now requires a guide and we are so glad we did. HWW worked with us while we were still in the USA to set up a private guide and transportation for our trip to Nepal. We liked that HWW hires local guides that know the area, culture and local languages. Dorjee knew many people along the route, taught us about local culture, pointed out plants and animals, and was a wonderful addition to our hike. He also gave us space to explore and hike on our own when we wanted. The whole process of transportation, hiking and exploring the villages was made extra special by the addition of Dorjee and HWW. Overall it felt chill and I highly recommend using this company.
- benjaminkY8359YG00Excellent EBC Trek and Lobuche Peak ClimbHighly recommend using this company. I had an excellent trek to EBC followed a climb of Lobuche Peak. The team in the office are incredibly helpful and quickly replied to any questions I had. The local guide Phurba was great and went to great lengths to ensure my trip was as comfortable as possible. Overall a fantastic experience.
- 928kallew00Great agency, great tripWhat a wonderful agency! From beginning to end perfect service, friendly manners and reasonable price! They do a really good job at creating the right package for individual wishes.
- Compass5581424108400Unforgettable pilgrimage to LapchiHad the great fortune to visit Lapchi with them. It was an unforgettable trip and I am grateful to did it with these guys. By myself it would have been impossible. Rigzin and Norbu are not only excellent guides and knowledgeable about Buddhism and culture but also great dudes and companions. Thank you so much !
- Luizfilho198200GREAT EXPERIENCEI did the EBC and was so good experience, hard walk but so beatiful. The company have kind and honest people. I recommend.
- Leonardorios00Lifetime experienceA lifetime experience. From the first contact by whatsapp, as well as any request made by us during the trekking, we were promptly answered. I recommend Himalayan Wanders Walkers! Its the best one!
- Keesha1100Tsum Valley Trek was amazing!Small group trekked the sacred Tsum valley with guides Dawa from Himalayan Wander Walkers, and Namgyal from Bio-Hotel guesthouse. The magic of this sacred valley is hard to describe and to share this with locals that are so proud of where they live is an understatement. A trip I’ll never forget. Dawa has a wealth of knowledge from Tibetan culture, Nepalese culture, Stupas,Mani walks, to Nunneries and monasteries. Even willing to dress up in traditional clothing and partake in cultural days. There are so many parts of this trek that will be forever in my heart along with the people I enjoyed it with and made it special.
- E7701LIpams00Tsum Valley TrekThe benefit of local guides was immediately apparent and brought such a rich cultural experience. Tea with Auntie, exploring seldom used trails, all kinds of hidden gems that only locals can provide. Dawa was an extremely knowledgeable guide - no question went unanswered - and his presence helped create a trek that was scenic, exciting and meaningful. If you’re planning a trip to Nepal only HWW can offer this experience to you.

We are a group of Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors and volunteers (13 pax) went to a Monastery at Upper Mustang to give free medical treatment villagers and monastic people.
Honestly the journey there was very challenging to us, raining, muddy, rocky roads. With the good care of the guide Mr Dawa T Gurung and his teams of experienced drivers we have safely ascended to carry our tasks smoothly. Mr Dawa even cover the duty of registration of patients, detailed down their issues which make the Physician job much easier.
When descending to Kathmandu, a few team members has some health issues not advisable to go by road trip, Mr Dawa assisted to arrange flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
During our free days in Kathmandu, he assured our shopping needs and safety around the crowded areas.
Mr Dawa and his team are always attentive to the team and resolve any issues arises.

Old and untouched buddhist monasteries, kind local people, beautiful Himalayan landscape and peaceful atmosphere made this trek a truly spiritual journey. It was quite an advantage having a local guide in our group, as I got to know more about Upper Mustang’s culture and history. We got to eat traditional nepalese food three times a day and were staying in cozy (although cold and small) village guest houses. Although, due to relatively high elevation trekking was pretty tiring at first, so don’t forget to bring some medicine and have some physical preparation before journey. Also, it’s important to have sunscreen, hat, windproof clothing, sleeping bag, hiking poles and shoes, big backpack (you can also buy most of these things in Kathmandu or Pokhara for cheap price (not sure about the quality)).
