We did the Poon Hill trek across five days, which was remarkable. Our guide – Suresh – was one of a kind: a genuinely caring person, knowledgable about the mountains and Nepal's history, and a fun guy to share a glass of the local wine with. The trek itself is fairly easy, aside from the short climb on the first day, so the walking is enjoyable in the sense that you have time to be alone in your head and think while immersed in nature. Would highly recommend this trek.

I have been to Kathmandu and Nepal more than once. When you arrive you may be a little overwhelmed by the number of people that will approach you with goods and services for sale. I recommend that you go with the best company for trekking - Black Diamond Expeditions. The company is straightforward and honest with their pricing and professional with what they provide, but it is their guide, Kapil Dhital, that makes this company the best. Kapil is a tremendous guide and an absolutely wonderful individual. He is not only friendly and a great person to spend a week with, but he is absolutely meticulous with his planning, his concern for our satisfaction and well being and with making sure that everything goes well is second to none. His professional care allowed us to kick back and enjoy the experience. I will always treasure the magic and wonder of my trip to Annapurna Base Camp and I know that it was Kapil Dhital that made the trip function so smoothly and who gave me the experience of a lifetime! For us this was a life changing experience. When we finally agreed to go with Black Diamond, we were appointed Our own personal point of contact in Tika who answered every query we had virtually immediately. On arrival in KTM, Tika introduced us to Raj, an Everest summiteer to ensure our kit was suitable for Island Peak and the finer details of our trek. This included a detailed kit check to ensure our safety on the mountain. The organisation was flawless and we flew to Lukla to start our trek - our guide, Bishow and porter Wan, immediately became an integral part of our team, educating us on the Nepalese culture, having a laugh and generally spurring us on. We reached EBC on schedule and completed Kala Pattar at dawn - Wow!! What stunning views. Due to a dodgy omelette, I ended up with severe stomach cramps and was unable to attempt Island Peak but Bishow was flexible and our return trip saw us visit Khumjung and the famous yeti scalp whilst keeping to the original 19 day schedule. This meant travelling to EBC by the usual route but returning on the other side of the valley (just over 200km in total). I cannot thank the entire team at Black Diamond enough for their attention to detail in making this a trek of a lifetime.

Our 6 day trek to Annapurna base camp was truly spectacular. Our guide, Kapil Dhital, made the experience not only spectacular but intimate and informative as well. He was incredibly attentive and compared to the other guides I observed he went above and beyond to make our trek truly enjoyable. He also shared with us in a way that I feel like I understand much more clearly the joys and struggles of the people of Nepal. Terrific experience.

I have no idea how this company was so terribly, even after showing good reviews on TripAdvisor. I booked and arranged this tour and was to be picked up and dropped off at my hotel. The company never showed. I waited for 2 hours at my hotel. My hotel subsequently tried to call for me; the phone numbers provided do not work. I tried to go to their office in Kathmandu, and it was also not there. I literally paid $80 for a great hike - and I am sure if I ever made it on the hike it would have been great. But I paid $80 for nothing.

We were 3 peoples, was thinking to go to Mustang trek and we looked for the organizer company then we found 'Black Diamond Expedition' .We took guide, transportation, permit, accommodations form the company. We were started, during the trek they gave excellent service, the guide was good and experienced also they gave the good accommodation and they good transportation. So, I will tell that in average 'Black Diamond Expedition' is really a good company, I never forget this company services, I always recommend this company to my friends and other peoples.

My friend and I traveled to Nepal wanting to do the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes trek and visit Chitwan National Park. We didn't have arrangements for either of these activities when we landed in Kathmandu. Our first couple nights in Kathmandu we stayed at Famous House just outside of Thamel, where there is also a counter for Black Diamond Expeditions. Our first day in Kathmandu they arranged for a driver to take us around to some of the major temples and highlights in the city. Despite being jet-lagged, we had a wonderful day and it was made very simple by having a friendly personal driver. We spoke to them about arranging an EBC/Gokyo Lakes trek. Raj and Ami were extremely helpful. They had plenty of experience leading and organizing treks and recommended that we hire a personal guide and porter for our EBC/Gokyo Lakes trek. I'm so glad we did! Our guide, Raju, and porter, Makar, were phenomenal!! We couldn't have done it without their help, patience, and moral support. It is a challenging trek, so having a porter carry some of our gear was extremely helpful in successfully making it to Base Camp. Our guide taught us a lot about the region, trek etiquette, and Nepalese language and culture. We did not make it to Gokyo Lakes due to altitude sickness symptoms, but since we had a personal guide/porter it was easy to adjust our schedule to suit our needs and ability. Black Diamond took care of all the arrangements and made it very easy for us! This included permits, flights (including flights changes), guide/porter, and helping us prepare for the trek. While on the trek our guide ensured we had accommodations and organized our meals at the teahouses. We also arranged a 3-day tour of Chitwan National Park with Black Diamond. The 1st and 3rd day are mostly spent on a bus driving from Kathmandu to Chitwan. The 2nd day you have options for activities in the park. My friend and I chose the elephant safari and had a wonderful time. We saw lots of wildlife including rhinos, monkeys, snakes, deer, and alligators. We stayed at the Wildlife Adventure Resort which was surprisingly quiet. All of this was again arranged by Black Diamond, very easy. I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Black Diamond and the services provided. They even helped me sort out a lost bag which took days and many phones calls to recover from the airline. I was so grateful to have them help me through some of the language barriers I met with that issue. Nepal was a fantastic place to visit and a wonderful adventure, but it was the people that we met along the way that made it truly special. I like to think that we made some good friends at Black Diamond and Famous House that I sincerely hope I cross paths with again someday.

We planned our 10-day trip to Nepal during Christmas/New Year 2018 and it was great! We took care of everything with Rajendra - so nice and considering - and we were very happy with everything. We just had to choose where and when we wanted to go and he took care of everything - accommodation, transport, entrance fees, etc. They were totally flexible in accommodating your ideas and gave great advice on what to visit and the best times to do so. Also, we were able to change the order and add more things during our trip with no problem at all. Our driver Suman, was the best - very helpful, patient and professional. We wish you all the best!

We loved our 8 day holiday in beautiful Nepal. Our guide Kapil took great care of our family. He assessed our ability and planned the four day hike very well. Our porters, Milan and Ramesh were also so kind. The kids, ages 8 and 10, loved the hiking. Every turn was another breathtaking view of the Himalayas! The food was yummy; we couldn’t eat enough Momos! Thanks for coordinating a memorable holiday for our family.

I recently completed the Annapurna Base Camp trek with this company. I am a solo traveller and wanted to see Nepal's famous trekking routes. I had a guide and porter along for the journey which made the experience a whole lot easier and less stressful. My guide organised accommodation, food and directed the way. Throughout my 12 day hike my guide was considerate/flexible/accommodating in allowing me to change my mind about the trekking route pending on other recommendations from fellow travellers met along the way - this was a good perk of travelling solo. My guide was respectful of my own personal time/space after the days of hiking and I took my time to wander around the little mountain villages along the way or spend time with new friends. Overall - a great, safe and friendly way to see ABC :)

My Good friend and I stayed here for 4 nights last week and I must say that AI had the best stay EVER! The manager Raj was incredible at assisting us with our every need. Our driver/guide Deepak was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful for our time visiting this beautiful city. All staff I must say were kind and welcoming. The tour suggested to us was just perfect and informative. I actually came back for another 2 days to explore and enjoy Kathmandu. I highly recommend this company and the tours offered.

Excellent tour and staff, very helpful, responsible and friendly. The tour manager Mr Raj planed a perfect tour for us that show us the major historical and cultural places and temples. Our lovely guide, Deepak was so knowledgeable and helpful.

We asked Raj Pandey at Black Diamond to organize a sightseeing day trip and 2 multi-day trekking expeditions for us and were extremely pleased each time. He provided guides who were fluent in English, arranged door to door transportation, and even rescheduled a tourist flight for us without an additional charge or penalty. This fellow and his staff are great and we highly recommend them to anyone wanting to see many different aspects of Nepal. Raj will do a great job for you!

My parents and me did the poon hill trek with our guide Pradeep. It was my first time in Nepal and I enjoyed it really much. Pradeep made a very good job and we had a great time. He organised everything, so we had a relaxing trekking tour.
