- Uma_divine0 contributionsNepal tour at its best!We were a mixed age group that included a few seniors. Mr Ram managed the trip very well. All of us had a good time in Nepal with loads of beautiful memories to bring home, boating at Phewa lake, sunrise viewing from Sarangkot, canle car ride to Manakamana etc. Mr.Ram made sure all of us were well taken care of. I would highly recommend his tour agency to anyone. Thank you brother Ram for making it an awesome holiday.Written December 11, 2018
- KC O0 contributionsAttentive, Responsive and FriendlyThe Trip to Nepal was made perfect with the well arrangement planned by Mr Ram from Austravel. He is very attentive and try his very best to suit our trip requirement. Mr Ram was given us few proposal via our Email and WhatsApp communication prior to the trip, his promptly response, well anticipated our requirement made our Nepal trip memorable and enjoyable. The tour guide, Mr Prabesh was professional and knowledgeable. He was so kind to get us the delicious home cook pancake when the proposed shop in Bhaktapur was closed. The suggestion by him to visit the Lady Day festival at temple nearby Kathmandu Durbar Square during our free day was very interesting and not to be missed. He also gave us some food recommendation which we find good to try. The driver, Mr Sujohn (unsure on the actual spelling) was experience and caring; He was so kind to send us the umbrella during the sudden rain at our Nakargot tower view in early morning. We surely recommend you to use Austravel services if you plan to visit Nepal. Mr Ram is very informative on hotel arrangement, tourist spot and food recommendations.Written September 15, 2018
- Vittal_P0 contributionsPerfect combination of outdoor activities and heritage tourMy parents and I visited Nepal over the last ten days and we are so glad that we chose Austravel. Mr. Ram is an competent professional, who planned and organised our trip perfectly. We decided to go to Nepal at the last minute and gave Mr. Ram only five days' notice to plan the trip and two days' notice to book all the accommodation and tours. He did it seamlessly. The plan comprised a heritage tour of Kathmandu, visit of the historic sites in Kathmandu, sunrise/sunset of the Langtang range from Nagarkot, two days of exploration in Chitwan National Park, sightseeing in Pokhara, and the most memorable and adventurous part of the tour, which included the visit to Mukthinath temple. A total of ten days' journey, which included the planning of accommodation at multiple different locations, arranging the local tours at each of these locations, and organizing the long distance travel between these different parts of the country to ensure that we reached each place on time, were done perfectly by Mr. Ram. Also, the car driver who was assigned to us for these ten days, Mr. Rajkumar, was an extremely kind and soft spoken person who was highly skilled in driving through some of the difficult roads and traffic jams of Nepal to get on time to various locations. Finally, a word on Mr. Ram. From the minute we landed in Kathmandu to the minute we left the country, Mr. Ram took care of us and ensured that we did not face any difficulties. He was highly efficient in organizing the tour. When we faced a hiccup (due a flight being cancelled because of turbulent wind conditions), Mr. Ram solved the issue by making alternative arrangements and ensured that we didn't have to worry about it ourselves. Mr. Ram is a gentleman and great professional, and we enjoyed having long conversations about various topics with him. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend Austravels for anyone visiting Nepal and I am sure you will agree with me from the minute you initiate the conversation with Mr. Ram.Written February 18, 2018
- bobbysusanbrunner0 contributionsFamily of 6 goes to NepalWe picked Nepal for our family of 6 (ages 11-49) and were amazed at our excellent choice. The temples of Buddha and Shiva were straight out of Nat Geo. The tour was well paced. Everyone had a great time and no complaints from teens about limited wifi due to all the fascinating tours. The people were friendly and it was very safe. The Himalayas were captivating. RAM our travel guide was extremely talented at laying out our itinerary and we had an amazing time. Highest recommendations!!!!Written January 10, 2018
- narenmn1230 contributionsKathmandu and Pokhara TourWe were a bit apprehensive about booking a tour online without any reference based only on Tripadvisor reviews especially since the company is individual driven by Mr.Ram Mani Khatiwada but since my first message Mr.Ram made me feel secure and responded immedietely to all my queries. On the whole the trip was as promised and planned, including good hotels and good cars for our stay.I would definitely recommend Austravel for visitors to Nepal. The 4 stars are given due to lack of recommendations regarding all the places of interest .Only some main places were recommended by him.Luckily,we were able to visit most of them due to Google!!Written September 20, 2017
- meyerfamily500 contributionsTour of MyanmarRam is the consummate professional. He helped arrange our tour of Myanmar for 19 days. He is thorough, reliable, and very organized. We were in great hands, and he helped to create the trip of a lifetime. When we ran into a problem, he solved it quickly and with grace. He is terrific.Written November 7, 2016
- fnz80 contributionsEverything perfect!I've just done a 20 days trip organized by Austravel in Nepal and Tibet with my boyfriend. We had a cultural part in Kathmandu and in Lhasa and a 10 days trekking in the Annapurna park. Perfect organization despite the fuel crisis that was affecting Nepal in October, great guides both for trekking and for cultural part of the trip. Furthermore very nice hotels. A great trip in a wonderful country organized perfectly. The price in my opinion was good for all the services included (transportations, hotels, cultural guides and during the trekking 24 h guide and porter and all the meals and accommodations!) Definitely recommended!Written October 30, 2015

- Matthew_Pascale0 contributionsAn excellent experienceA few months since our visit but hopefully not too late to add to the recommendations for Austravel. Ram was an excellent host with all details of the tour managed very well. Communication and information supplied beforehand could not be faulted; guides were helpful, friendly, flexible and informative; drivers safe, punctual and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Austravel to anyone visiting Nepal and would certainly be my first port of call if looking to travel there again. Matthew (and Pascale)Written January 28, 2015

- ruthcantrill10 contributionsA triumph of organisationThis was a perfect example of how to get the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from a 4 day stay without feeling pressurised. From start to finish, Ram advised on making the most of our time so we really felt we had had a taste of a stunning scenery, exciting culture and welcoming people. Our guides were knowledgeable and approachable - good as we asked lots of questions. Our hotels were all different, the old style colonnial building contrasting with the more traditional lodge and the modern Hotel Shambala; food was excellent wherever we ate. The highlight of the trip was a flight to see Mount Everest - something I had always wanted to do. My daughter has just presented us with a photocollage of the trip for Christmas - but I know that we shall one day go back to explore the huge wildlife reserves. A massive thank you to Ram and his team for making our holiday so special - we have no hesitation in strongly recommending you and the company to others!Written January 2, 2015
- Shauna260 contributionsStunning Nepal, fantastic travel agencyTravelled with Austravel in party of two in September 2014. Absolutely amazing holiday from start to finish. Organizing with Ram was easy via email. He readily accepted any changes and preferences. Guides were fabulous, special mention to Prob in Kathmandu and Bishnu in Chitwan. Driver Mr Manik, was delightful and trustworthy and safely negotiated all hazardous road conditions. Hotels were perfect for our needs and in good locations offering privacy and ease of access to attractions. It's difficult to put into just a few words how special this holiday was. Many thanks to Ram for making it happen.Written October 6, 2014

- Lizaaard330 contributionsGreat long weekend in Nepal! We took my Mum and her husband to Kathmandu for 4 days and used Austravel for our trip to plan all tours and hotels. Ram suggested a perfect itinerary for our short visit and we saw a wonderful selection of historical sights of the city, together with a sunrise mountain trip to Nargarkot, a beautiful mountain hike and a fantastic early morning Everest experience flight! All of our hotels and restaurants were brilliant. The Hotel Shanker and newcomer Hotel Shambala were perfect - a great mix of traditional and modern, which suited our trip brilliantly. The cultural show on the Friday night and thangka demonstration were excellent too! THANK YOU to Ram and his team of knowledgeable and reliable guides and drivers. You made our trip an unforgettable one and we will treasure our memories of Nepal for years to come. Next time, we will be back for a bit of Himalayan trekking!Written April 26, 2014

It was such a beautiful experience! The weather was not so good during my visit to Nepal so I'm happy I did this because it was the only chance I had to see Everest and so closely. Our Guide was super kind the entire time. My friends forgot their passport and money at the Mount Everest restaurant and he made sure we received it back on time. Wonderful and one in a life time experience I totally recommend this tour we were picked up from our hotel everything was very easy thank you so much for the amazing service. Thank you Ram!
