About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 347evgeniig0 contributionsExcellent Trekking! We did a Manaslu circuit together with the Tsum Valley Trek in September and it was perfect! Our guide, Tenji, was young but very knowledgeable and experienced. We never had to worry about getting lost or not finding a lodge for the night. He was happy to patiently explain anything we asked, never rushed us and during the trek he became our friend and a real part of our group. The itinerary was flexible and we had enough days to acclimatise to the altitude and even visit the Manaslu base camp, which was not on the itinerary but was still possible as part of the acclimatisation. The price was also very reasonable and included everything from transport to accommodation to obtaining permits. The trekking company also helped us in many other ways, such as booking and finding hotels during our stay in Nepal, which was very nice of them. So overall, we were very pleased and happy with the Trekking agency and especially the guide and would go with them again!Written September 26, 2024
- Didi_Isr0 contributionsGreat experience with Master HimalayaMy son and I had only 5 days to trek in Nepal. Following a recommendation of a friend, we connected with Master Himalaya who set up an outstanding itinerary for a five-day trek in the Everest Base Camp trail. Master Himalaya organized the entire trip professionally and seamlessly. As our timeframe was very short- we used helicopter flights 3 times- from Kathmandu to Lukla, from Tengboche to Kalla Pathar and back from Lukla to Kathmandu which all worked smoothly. As per our specific request, we stayed all nights in guesthouses with attached showers and bathrooms and had 2 wonderful porters who walked with us and guided us throughout our trip. Master Himalaya provided us with a wonderful and unforgettable experience and I wholeheartedly recommend them.Written July 19, 2024
- rodg9920 contributionsJust the Best.My trek was not for faint of heart. I was looking for a good challenge and this trip proved to be just right. Well supported excellent staff spartan but more than adequate food and facilities. In particular Master Himalaya staff were outstanding every step of the way from meeting me at the airport, mid trek check ups and post trek support. Staff were outstanding in every regard.Written May 14, 2024
- Odyssey553897046960 contributionsGreat Trek!Wonderful experience trekking with master Himalaya! From the initial emails to our final congratulations dinner the communication with the company was great throughout. Our guide Tenji took good care of us and made us feel very safe. We enjoyed the variety of scenery, the villages, the food and conversing with villagers and other trekkers along the way. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone!Written April 7, 2024
- RahulReddy270 contributionsFantastic Custom Long Duration TrekI used to trek and climb a lot before, however, for the last few years, I have been a couch potato. Group trek would not be good for me, so I reached out to master himalaya for a custom Everest Three Passes Trek along with ascent of Isalnd Peak. At first I was worried that they are a fake organisation or low service company because of how cheap their prices are. However, there is nothing to be afraid of. Their service is at par with or even better than most other tour companies in the same budget packages. Their PR team is also fantastic, special thanks to Palden Bhai. Their guide was very polite and good and led me through the mountains safely. The food and accomodation was also very very good. Whole heartedly recommended for everyone, specially if your budget is small. Will always go with them from now on.Written March 10, 2022

- NetZvika0 contributionsOne of the best decisions of my life!I am glad that I chose to trek to the Langtang - Gosainkunda region with Master Himalaya Treks. Mr. Ram Barakoti helped me in deciding the region for my trek and also provided me a very experinced guide, Devendra, who took great care of me. He was careful everytime so that I was safe during the trekking. His food recommendations and the tea house selections were up to the mark. I can't thank enough Master Himalaya team for making the best arrangements and providing me a great experience.Written August 11, 2019
- constanzavcv0 contributionsExpress EBC with chopper return - arranged by Master HimalayaWonderful company! I strongly recommend Master Himalaya, they went beyond our expectations with every detail. Everything was perfectly coordinated: airport pickup, stay at a 5 star hotel as we asked (we stayed at Yak and Yeti), day tour of Kathmandu and the most important: trek to EBC with chopper return. The trek was extraordinary. Our guide Suman was the best, super experienced and helpful, which made us enjoy the adventure without any delays (or AMS!). We stayed at very good guest houses with good food and warm rooms. He showed us the scenery and guided us (patiently) through the mountains in Himalaya. After our trek the weather was really cloudy and the agency did the impossible to get us a chopper return (gorakshep-katmandu) that same day without delays and we finally reached katmandu as expected. Then they arranged for us a complementary couples massage which was extraordinary! A one in a lifetime experience, perfectly orchestrated by Master Himalaya.Written May 16, 2019
- 521paulaz0 contributionsBest tour agency in NepalI highly recommend this tour agency. They arranged most of our trip to the Everest base camp. The flight tickets, the entrances fee and an amazing guide/porter (jeevan was a really good guide, he knew everything, was always taking good care of us, taking us to really good lodges). They were always aware of where we were and helping us with everything. Always really flexible and open to our needs. They borrow us a big bag to take our things to the trekking and crampons. Also we bought with him bus ticket to pokhara for a good price. Thank you for the amazing experience that we had in Nepal and for the t shirt that will be a good memory to carry back home !!!!Written March 24, 2019
- neeraj12080 contributionsLangtang Valley TrekWe decided to celebrate my wife's birthday by doing a 8 day Langtang Valley trek in late December. Nara was our guide and Bir Bahadur was our porter. They were recommended to us by a couple who had hired their services earlier. Nara was very patient with us as this was our first time doing multi-day trekking. Coming from a trekking experience of over 25 years, he helped us pace ourselves and kept our spirits up throughout. Our porter Biru even did a summit climb to Kyangjin-Ri (along with Nara) at 6.30am in the morning with us, all the time guiding and helping us navigate the difficult terrain. Overall, we had a really good time with these two. Highly recommended.Written February 9, 2019
- NatanVillarreal0 contributionsThree Passes trek and ChitwanAmazing company with the kindest people of Nepal! I came to know this company super randomly and am glad I did! They proved to have the cheapest fares compared to other tourist companies. They arranged everything for my trip with a Sherpa across the everest region. When I finished my trek earlier then expected they provided a fast helicopter service out of Lukla. And for also an extremely cheap fare. I later came back to their headquarters and thanked them a lot for their kindness. When I did they kept on helping me and provided some amazing recommendations, this time for Chitwan National Park. Thanks so much!!Written December 13, 2018
- orig19950 contributionsCheap and ReliableI think the highlight of my trip in Nepal was climbing Island Peak. My friend and I did it with Master Himalaya and I can say confidently that you can definitely count on them because they are professional and inexpensive.Written November 9, 2018
- slovelljones0 contributionsGlorious MountainsReally enjoyable, tough but rewarding trek to the Annapurna base camp. Some amazing places to stay and some simply glorious views. Tips for the traveller: - bring a beanie - filling your water bottle late with hot water makes for a v warm sleeping bag - take more money than you think you need (the beer gets more expensive the higher you go...) - the fleeces that ‘disappear’ into small bags are worth every penny. - bring shorts - walking in the sun is hot - to train - lots of those steps up onto benches - ideally carrying weights - will prepare you for all those steps ... But it’s a great trip and highly recommended- many thanks to Ram, our guide and the indefatigable porters.... SimonWritten November 6, 2018

We started a first of a kind hiking in the Anapurna crossing the highest pass 5416m with a handicap group a total of 6 days using special bicycles for the handicaps. All of this was possible with the support of Master Himalaya agency and especially the great help and overlooking of KB, the porter's supervisor. We had an amazing adventure one of kind and first of it's kind. Thanks a lot for your help!Written October 22, 2018
- alonzifroni0 contributionsAround Anapurna with Master Himalaya - exceptional experienceWe took a trek Around Anapurna (6 Days). A group of 24 people, including 4 disabled people on wheelchairs. A complex project that required the transport of special equipment, helicopter flights and the escort of 30 porters. Muster Humalaya were responsible for all the organization of the trip, including handling unplanned events during the trip. They did it perfectly. We are grateful to this wonderful team for providing us with an exceptional experience. AlonWritten October 19, 2018

The Everest Base Camp Trek it self was the best experience you will ever do. This is the second time I have done it.
I have no faults with the sherpa's and porters on the trip as they were fantastic. Firstly, we were charged at extra 4% for card payments. Make sure all payments are done beforehand or you have exchanged the cash in your own country.
Our flight from Lukla got cancelled which can happen due to the weather. When trying to get the flight details from the company for over a month they failed to do so. The insurance would not do anything without a letter from the insurance company. Although they organised alternative transport this was never communicated and poor communication after trip completed.
Would use a another company in my opinion.

The hike was amazing, what made it more enjoyable were the guides. KB and Raj were excellent. The kids that were portering for us also the best. Nothing but smiles for miles when we would see them on the trail (as they passed us).
The guest houses/ tea houses far surpassed my expectations as far as a place to lay your head a night. It was still freezing, but I managed to sleep most nights.
The food at all the places was quite good, when I had the appetite. Warning: yak poop burning causes a lot of smoke and makes it nearly impossible to breath esp after the altitude hits! Having had problems with my lungs the last couple days of the trip. Mind is willing body not completely able. The group left for base camp and I was left to my own devices, I took my time and did Kala Patthar, I was able to see Mt Everest... which you are not able to do from base camp. I did miss out on the spray painted rock with my crew, but had an amazing adventure on my own!
I have never been in a helicopter... so this was the complete highlight of the entire trip to me! The pilot was smooth...he gave us a loop around base camp from the air and pointed out so many things you cannot see from the ground. Best trekking experience to date... one thing... make sure your guide has a pulse oximeter!!
