About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- A722VOluket0 contributionsMemories of NepalPro : Tour operator Mr Bhagwat, tour guide Mr Bradi and our Ramesh did an excellent job to keep us safe and enjoyable during our 1st visit to Nepal. The tour is well balance between Culture and Nature. The hotels are in good locations and good services . The people are friendly , our trip to visit a farm house which is belonged Mr Badri parents which gave us a warm feeling and unforgettable memory for their hospitality . Con: road and highway condition are very bad which has been like that for over 5yrs without knowing when the project will start again. I will reccommend you should take hop on & hop off flights if you have a bad back or allergy to dust and you also save more time to enjoy Nepal beautiful sceneries , more time in Lumini and flight to visit 1st base camp of Mt Everest if I decide to visit Nepal 2nd time.Written December 5, 2024
- Departure079399388670 contributionsTrip of a lifetime! My wife and I came across Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours on Travelzoo. The price was very reasonable for a trip of this magnitude! So glad we decided to use this tour company! We signed up to partake in the ABC trek in Nov 2024 (very good time of year for clear weather). Himalayan Adventures is a top notch tour company! Bhagwat is the owner, and he provides some of the best customer service I have had anywhere! I am not exaggerating. My wife and I have travelled extensively, but never made it to this region of the world. We really were coming in knowing nothing. I bombarded Bhagwat with questions for almost a year. He was always very help full and his communication was second to none! He answered questions about logistics, visas, what to expect in this trek, what equipment is recommended, if we didnt have time for a 13 day trek he offered a 9 day modification, etc! Not only did he answer these questions, but I swear he would answer within a hour over Whatsapp, even if it was the middle of the night for him!!! His customer service (and all his employees) were incredible! Upon arrival, Himalayan Adventures had their driver already waiting for us as we went through customs and immigrations. When we arrived at the hotel 4 days earlier than our trek in Kathmandu, Bhagwat was waiting for us for a very warm welcome to Nepal. As he checked us in to the hotel, he gave us many recommendations to explore and to eat. Bhagwat signed us up for a flight to see Mt Everest and an all day excursion to see a bunch of World Heritage sites. Some of the temples included Swayambhunath Temple (the monkey temple!), Bhaktapur Durbar Square (we got to see the living goddess!), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. For the temple excursion, our guide Kapil was amazing! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. When we were eating lunch, it felt like we were sitting with family. Kapil was an amazing guide!! As we got closer to the day of our trek, Bhagwat recommended we take a 45 min flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara instead of a 11 hour drive on a horrible road full of construction. I cannot agree with Bhagwat more, take the flight its worth it! Plus, you will have way more time to explore the beautiful lake town of Pokhara! The trek overall is amazing! Himalayan Adventures has a break down of the trek itinerary, so I won't get too much into here. The trek is labeled beginner to advanced. I will say, as a beginner myself, this is the hardest trek I have ever done. I'd say it's more intermediate to advanced, but a beginner can do it but it will be grueling (but very rewarding). You will hike 5-6 miles one day, sometimes 10. it totaled 80 miles in about 10 days! That includes thousands of steps up and down, some over a foot tall up steep inclines and declines. That being said, the views are insanely beautiful. Our guide, Prakash, was everything we could have hoped for in a guide. Prakash was extremely knowledge, personable, and patient. Everyday, he would give us a detailed breakdown of what to expect and what to expect the next day. Being the slowest in the group, I usually fell behind the others by about 30min. Prakash and his porters would pace with me. Sometimes, when I was extremely tired, Prakash was so good at keeping me motivated and encouraged. Sukman, one of the porters really stood out. He was so positive and patient as well! We called him Superman because he did everything from carry our duffel bags up the mountain, but he waited on us while we ate, and many other things. Amazing customer service by Prakash, Sukman, and the other porters. We were well taken cared of!!!!! If you do this trek, you cannot go wrong wrong with Prakash leading your trek!!!! 5 stars! This trek is the hardest, but most rewarding thing I have ever done. My wife and I miss Prakash, the porters, and our new friends we met from our trekking group!! it was all made possible by Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours! This is the company to use for your trek! Our whole group have nothing but 5 star accolades to give them!!!!! This trip will change your life!Written December 3, 2024
- boid4670 contributionsWonderful visit of Nepal at a glanceThe tour includes a well balance of culture, religions, cities and landscapes. Mr. Bhagwat (the tour operator), Badri (the tour guide) and Ramesh (the driver) are all nice, resourceful, very much caring and attended to details. The sunsets and sunrises of Himalayan mountain ranges are amazing. The selected hotels are well located to offer convenient city access in Kathmandu and wonderful views of valleys and Himalayan mountain peaks in Nagarkot, Pokhara and Bandipur. We were lucky that the sky was mostly clear during our trip in November. We had only 2 cloudy days but no rain. Being Buddhist, we appreciated very much the visit to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, and the surrounding temples. The roads were very rough, more than expected, due to unfinished construction and heavy traffic. However we, all seniors, still survived with no back pain. Badri, our guide, is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Nepal. Ramesh, our driver, is very skillful and drove safely in congested conditions.Written December 2, 2024
- Passenger152656206520 contributionsA Solid 5 star tour guide company in NepalThe best tour guide company to work with for our ABC trekking trip. The nicest owner, Bhagwat. The best guide, Prakash, and the super porters, especially Surman. They were very helpful and kept us safe to complete the trekking trip. A solid 5 star tour guide company on Nepal.Written November 29, 2024
- C9155OKwillies0 contributionsFantastic Trekking Adventure! It’s our first time to Nepal & we did trekking. While still in our own city, Bhagwat proactively answered all our questions via chat. This set our minds at ease & helped prepare us mentally for our trip. During our trekking, Badri guided us patiently & took good care of us, fill us in with all sorts of information & knowledge of the Nepal mountains. Thanks & we had a good adventure! Hope to visit Nepal again!Written November 29, 2024
- N5116QWmelissac0 contributionsThanks for the memories, we'll be back!I would wholeheartedly recommend booking a trip with Baghwat and Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours. My parents lived in Nepal during the 60s and I wanted a taste of the country. This tour was perfect for accomplishing my goals. My friend Anita and I enjoyed an Everest flight, temples, cultural dancing, excellent food, wonderful accommodations, hiking, village visits, wildlife in Chitwan National Park including one horned rhinos and horn bills, Diwali celebrations, boat rides on Lake Pokhara, monastaries, waterfalls, caves and many other unforgettable sites. Our guides and drivers were friendly and knowledgeable and took excellent care of us. Baghwat could be easily contacted at any time and we were able to personalize our tour and itinerary. Yes, the roads are bumpy...but the rest stops for tea and beautiful views as well as the slices of life that we were able to take in while passing through villages made it worth it. I was only 4 weeks into TKR surgery and every care was taken to ensure my comfort. I am an avid global traveler and this was one of the best trips I've taken. We will be back in 2026 to trek next time with Himalayan Adventure Treks and Tours. Thank you for the memories!Written November 13, 2024
- I5790QTsamanthas0 contributionsEpic tripIncredible experience! The hikes were amazing, the tour was well organized and communication was excellent. Prakash our guide was the absolute best, and the leader of the company Bhagwat was very well organized and made sure the trip went smoothly. I highly recommend this company, especially for logistics in an area where weather can change your plans.Written November 11, 2024
- Andy P0 contributionsUpper Mustang motorcycle tour from Kathmandu.Bhagwat who started and owns the company was very professional and personable. Organised everything and it all happened seamlessly, despite our guild being trapped in Lukla due to weather. Bhagwat got him down by helicopter to make our trip on time. Our Guild, Bodrit Karki. What can I say, a pleasure to spend time with. Intelligent, knowledgeable, great laugh, looked after us and the bikes all the way. Nothing he doesn’t know about his country, the mountains and our surroundings. He’s a walking encyclopaedia. All the accommodation was much better than expected. More hotel than tea house. The Tibetan border is closed to all foreigners so we were not allowed with 15km of it. Which was disappointing, but not their fault. Bodrit made up for it by adding in an extra place to see and stay. I could not recommend them more highly. Top Tip. If you’re going Upper Mustang, take a Honda, not a Royal Enfield.Written November 8, 2024

- X8604WManitat0 contributionsAmazing 11 day tour of Nepal - unforgettable!!This was my first trip to Nepal and I would rate this as one of the best travel experiences I have ever had. This country is stunningly beautiful with such rich history, temples, flora, and fauna, it is a feast for the eyes and soul. Our local guides (in Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park, and Lumbini) were very knowledgeable and our driver was amazing.Despite the bad roads (we had fair warning of this), our driver was excellent. Driving through towns and in-between them was like scuba diving on land, absorbing all the colors and slices of life. I loved everything we did, particularly the mix of city cultural treasures experience fingers Diwali (the Hindu Festival of Lights) and nature immersion, as well as sampling Nepalese food and drinking masala chai, meeting the lovely Nepalese people, and seeing the contrast of lush green landscapes dotted with bright colored flowers - a feast for the eyes! We are already planning to come back for a trekking trip with Himalayan Adventure. They attended to every detail and I am most grateful!Written November 5, 2024
- Trip7759040 contributionsThe Most memorable Journey of my lifeThis hiking trip was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Words can’t fully capture the feelings and personal growth I experienced, but I’d like to focus on the outfitter who made it all possible. If I could give them 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat! Simkhada, the owner, along with Prakash Adhikari, our lead guide, and Dorji, Yadav and Dikpal, assistant guide were absolutely incredible. All of them would greet us with smile and takes care of smallest request with smile until late night. Each one went above and beyond, almost as if they could anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, I was able to achieve my dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. This company and its staff are highly trained, compassionate, and committed to ensuring every hiker reaches their goal. Beyond just guiding us, they enriched our journey with insights into local customs and each town we visited, making it a true cultural experience. Prakash carefully selected tea houses for us, ensuring comfort and authenticity at every stop. I could go on about the behind-the-scenes magic that Simkhada and Prakash worked to handle logistics and tackle challenges in our favor. Their expertise and genuine care made all the difference. I highly recommend this company. We’ve used them before, and there’s no question we’ll turn to them for our next expedition in Nepal.Written November 3, 2024
- Rchirra0 contributionsLots of Fun and AdventureI cannot recommend this company enough! with Himalayan Adventure Kathmandu, this is our 2nd trip with them, we did ABC in 2022. They took care of everything from accommodations to meals to travel within Nepal. We didn't have to worry about anything. Bhagwat Simkhada the head organizer, is very responsive to questions and concerns, with out his help we couldn't make this trip from the time you first reach out expressing interest through the end of your time in Nepal. He easily addressed anything we were unsure about and did it in a timely manner. Our guides, Prakash & his team members, are amazing!! He was extremely personable and knowledgeable, giving us endless entertainment, information about the places we were trekking through. The experience was worth every penny paid, not just due to the incredible views, but also to the dedication and professionalism of whole team provided throughout. I look forward to visiting Nepal again to do another trek in the future.Written November 3, 2024
- 499bindip0 contributionsSatisfcation guarateedThis was an incredible experience that was made possible by Himalyan Adventure Treks under the guidance of Mr. Bhagwat and our lead guide Mr. Prakash. We had used this group two years prior when we trekked to Annapurna base camp and once again their service was outstanding! From the beginning, they were attentive to details and remained in constant contact with our group members. They were respectful to our needs and maintained our health and safety throughout our journey. Even with unexpected weather delays, they worked behind the scenes to allow for us to depart back to the US on time. I would highly recommend them to anyone without reservation. Kudos to Himalyan Adventure Treks for a once in a lifetime adventure to EBC!Written November 3, 2024

We spent a week in the magical city of Kathmandu and knew with certainty this was going to be the highlight of the trip. Bhagwat came to our hotel to discuss the details of the helicopter tour and what to expect of it. He was very informative and kind and it never felt rushed, more like we were speaking as friends. We confirmed the date and settled payment at this time. The trip did get rescheduled once due to harsh weather but that was not a problem. Day of trip, driver came to the hotel and drove us to airport terminal where we completed weigh-in, tax payment and boarded the helicopter along with 4 other people. Pilot was Canadian and very informative along the way. Actual ride from airport to Lukla took about 45 minutes where we had a brief stop to unload fuel. From there we continued our ascent towards the majestic Mount Everest and it's surrounding peaks. We were able to step out of the helicopter at base camp and take many photos and make some lifetime memories. Luckily on our day the weather was only a little windy, quite crisp and about 0 degrees C, dress accordingly. We wore long pants, shirt, fleece jacket, gloves and scarf and it was perfect. After base came we continued to the Mount Everest view hotel for breakfast. Here, we were seated on a patio, made a la carte selection for breakfast which was served fairly quickly. Be aware you have to pay for breakfast directly to the restaurant along with national park fees, bring cash (rupees), no credit cards are accepted. There is also an outdoor restroom which you can use before departing (bring your own paper and hand sanitizer). Trip back was again around 45 minutes with quick stop in Lukla yet again for refuel. The helicopter tour far exceeded our expectations, you won't be disappointed even though the price tag is a little high, it was worth it. Bhagwat came to our hotel in the evening to check in on us and to inquire about our experience, which of course was fabulous. He also helped us arrange transportation to the airport for our departure. We hope to someday return to beautiful Nepal and won't hesitate to contact Mr Bhagwat and his team of professionals for assistance. Namaste...and thank you for creating memories we will cherish forever.
