About
Manaslu Circuit Trek, an epic walk centered around Mt. Manaslu, a beautiful and 8th highest mountain in the world looming at 8,163m. Manaslu Circuit Trek is a good alternative to the Annapurna Circuit Trek as most part of Annapurna Circuit Trek now has been destroyed due to newly constructed road. Trekking in Manaslu region was allowed for foreigners only from 1991. So, Manaslu circuit trail although being a very beautiful region still sees few trekkers annually which is a good reason to trek there for adventure and nature lovers.

The trek was absolutely perfect! Most of that has to be contributed to our awesome guide Raj who took care of our group and made sure everything worked smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about anything, so massive thanks for that! 10/10 would recommend

Langtang Valley Trek - Best guide, porter and overall experience
My friend and I were referred to Icicle Adventures by a friend who knew the owners. We had an amazing experience and this was in comparison to fellow foreigners I know who completed the trek as well as those who we met along the way in tea houses. Guide I am biased but our guide, Ram, and his brother-in-law Som (our porter), were the BEST guide and porter on the route. In many ways, our teahouse accommodations were unexpectedly superior to those in our 3-star Kathmandu hotels. Ram knew and pursued only the best teahouses which meant that we had hot water for showers (included in price), outlets and consistent power, private bathrooms. We didn't even use our power banks. Ram also optimized our route, taking us back a different route from when we arrived via Sherpagon which was beautiful. We were also the only trekkers who had delicious fresh produce every night. The most delicious, sweet, crisp apples I ever tasted along with sweet oranges sliced every night. We didn't realize until the end that Ram had packed and carried this produce throughout the trek. It took us a moment to realize that it was very difficult to find that kind of produce along the trekking route. I struggled with breathing a bit near the top (I have asthma) and as we descended, Ram stayed incredibly close to me. He knew before I did when my strength finally returned and I felt ok again. I also appreciated how kind Ram was to other people. At one point, a woman who owned a teahouse was reaching out to another guide along the path who was in front of me as we trekked and that guide just walked past her. However, Ram stopped to chat with her and took her card. It was a simple sweet gesture. On another day, Ram met another guide on our way down and told him that he was taking us on an alternate route via Sherpagon. The guide said he'd never been to Sherpagon but Ram encouraged him to take his trekker on the alternate route too and said that he could stick with our group. I LOVED how kind Ram was to everyone around him, always. Porter This was Som's first trip as a porter. He was retiring from the army and seeking his next career so he was introduced via Ram. Although Som didn't speak much English, it was amazing how much we were all able to communicate. His caring for us was so apparent every moment. There was a moment when I accidentally leaned into stinging nettles while making space for a mule train. Som was lower than me carrying my bag and rushed back up toward me alarmed. I always felt safe with both Ram and Som. Company I was really impressed with Icicle Adventures. Initially I was overwhelmed with all the options but when I met a fellow foreigner who told me about her friends, I was immediately sold. After it was booked, the experience continued to exceed my expectations. It was all the details that made the difference. On the last night, we were placed at the Ramada which is an incredibly nice hotel, complete with a 3 course rooftop dinner with Ram and Indira (company owner). The package also included gear that ended up being super useful: duffel bag which gave me significantly more packing space when I returned home. The quick dry t-shirt was great. Also this is a woman-owned company and Indira advocates for women as guides! In fact, Ram's daughter even completed an internship here. Differences (compared to friends who also completed trek with other companies) -best teahouses -fresh sliced fruit every night while remote -trekking bag quality (you can keep it and lets you take more things home) -kathmandu hotel on last night (pure luxury)

    Annapurna Circuit with Icicles Adventure
I had the most amazing time on this trek! Our primary guide, Lok, was absolutely incredible. He was the most patient guide, and we all had the best time with him. Sanjil, our other guide, was great as well. He was very excited and energetic, and made us all happy to be there. All of the tea houses and hotels we stopped at along the way were incredible, great food and nice rooms. The guides were very careful with getting us over the pass, and safety was always the first priority. We were properly acclimatized, and the pass felt good and safe. Overall, I could not recommend this group and these guides enough. I am already planning my next trek!

The EBC trek with Icicles was absolutely incredible!! From the beginning to end, everything was organized smoothly and the team took great care of us. Our entire group made it to EBC. Our guide Puja was amazing, making sure we all stayed healthy and got to the finish. I can't recommend this tour enough!! The views, the people, the service, everything was excellent.

    Annapurna circuit
We have just completed the Annapurna circuit trek with Lok and Sanjil as our guides. Everything has been well thought out from start to finish and the last night group meal was a lovely surprise along with the company owner Indra. The accommodation has been great along the way, with a few hot gas showers added in at the tea houses and the hotel in kathmandu feels like a treat. Our guide Lok was very experienced and knowledgeable. He was always attentive and made sure we were comfortable, during the trek, taking lots of rests and also in the tea houses. I think it is great that they also monitor you for altitude sickness so you know you are in safe hands. A special thanks to our porters who helped along the way too. Overall, icicles have been a fantastic company and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Grateful to have had a wonderful group of people to spend 2 weeks with.

Best tour company I have ever used!
Hiking the Annapurna Circuit with Icicles was an incredible experience. I have done multiple big trips with other companies and never had the truly great service Icicles provided us. I wouldn't hike with anyone else in Nepal now! The hotels and meals provided before and after the trek were very luxurious but also all teahouses on route were very comfortable - the guides and porters were amazing and could not have done more to ensure our safety and comfort. After a not so positive experience doing Kilimanjaro the year prior - this experience was totally different. The focus on safety the guides had was very comforting and their experience spoke for itself ! From looking after us when we became unwell to ensuring we kept our spirts up on long hike days. My guide 'Miss Lok' was probably the most patient man I have ever met and we will miss him so much - I hope he thinks of me whenever he sees a cinnamon roll ! Sangil also was great and went above and beyond taking group members to the dentist even! The company being female ran by Indra from Kathmandu is amazing and you can tell the attention to detail from her is behind why the trip was so great. We got duffel bags, hats and even tshirts and maps all included! If your thinking about trekking in Nepal please book with Icicles you won't regret it! Thank you Icicles

Book and don’t look back!!!! Fantastic trip of a lifetime
Fantastic trip of a lifetime. Booked solo and met two other people on the trip who are now friends for life. The trip was very well planned and every point we were informed about the next day. Seriously cool views, and completed walks that I am very proud of. Sandip was a fantastic guide and also now a great friend. Indira briefed us very well. Thank you all. What an amazing trip.

Fantastic time on the Annapurna circuit.
I had the most amazing time on the Annapurna Circuit trek in Nov 23. Our guide Lok was super attentive and polite. I felt in very safe hands the whole way through the trek and he did a brilliant job of motivating the group. He was absolutely fantastic. All the tea houses he took us too were comfortable and contrary to what I had read almost all had somewhere to charge devices and limited WiFi.

    Amazing solo ABC trek.
I have just returned from a trek to Annapurna Base Camp with my guide Sarala. I booked with Icicles Adventure as I have used them on a previous trek to EBC and I knew that I would be looked after from start to finish. My guide, Sarala was fantastic. She made sure I was prepared for each day and the trek went really well without any hitches at all. Sarala was great company too and I felt safe under her guidance. The ABC trek is really special in that you have a chance to see how local communities live and farm in the mountains. The terrain is very varied and I actually found the trek challenging because of the constant steep gradients up and down. I am already thinking and planning my next trek to Nepal and would definitely book with Icicles adventure and request Sarala again.

WHEN I LOOK BEYOND THE DAMP AND COLD TEA HOUSES, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 6 OF 5 TO OUR GUIDES AND PORTERS
Well, the primary reason for my trip was going to the base camp. I met a bunch of new friends, 2 Australians mother and daughter team and 3, including myself are from UK. Our group was fun and we encouraged each other and all made it to BC with the help of our 2 guides and 3 porters. After reaching the BC, one of our teammates got high altitude sickness and had to be carried down by horse and 2 helicopter rides to Kathmandu. She is all fine now. It was during crisis our guides Pooja and Prabin came through for us. They quickly arranged horses with Prabin following the rescue team down the mountain. Prabin was our super fit guide, did the Base Camp marathon and came in 13th. He came back to join us the following evening at our tea house. After our first day of decent, I also showed symptoms of high altitude illness. Pooja made me (I was so disappointed, thinking only 2 more days I will be back to Kathmandu. I was so close) going to the doctor for a 30 minute check up. We went through blood pressure, blood glucose, balance, memory test...... and thank God I was OK and I can continue the rest of my decent. Again I thank them sincerely for taking care of all of us, monitoring our daily blood oxygen level, making sure we are fit and having fun. I had no reservation in recommend Icicles Adventure to all my friends and I would pick them if I am doing this again.

    Terrific Trek and Experience
Right from airport meet everything was beyond expectations. Thanks Indira at Icicles has assembled a team of guides and porters that will look after your every need. They will guide you throughout the whole time together. The pace was specifically aimed at success and when an individual showed signs of altitude sickness the full evac process was initiated. Our guides Pooja and Pravin were exceptional and we met other guides equally as competent. The standard of teahouse was the best that could be obtained and given the location were comfortable and clean. The food was awesome! You can do the treks independently. However by booking with icicles you ensure that porters are paid a fair rate, environmental considerations are taken into account (ie waste carry back scheme) and you have security and piece of mind that help is available should it be required. I can’t recommend this Organisation highly enough. I shall be back!

    Fantastic Company
Fantastic company where from the moment we were collected at the airport to the time we left, nothing was too much trouble. Our two guides, Loc and Buddhi knew instinctively how to look after and guide our group (along with the porters), which made it a very enjoyable experience. When one member of our group became ill at Everest Base Camp they knew exactly what to do and resolved the situation swiftly and safely. They also were on hand to look after our every need during our overnight stays. A great company who I would definitely use again.

    Everest Basecamp Trek
What a fantastic experience we had! Walking amongst the most iconic mountain terrain in the world, supported by our excellent guide, Ram, and the rest of the team from Icicles. Nothing was too much trouble and the sole focus of the team was to give our group the best possible experience. An amazing trip in every way!

EBC trek with Icicles adventures is an absolute must!
I couldn’t recommend icicles enough for the EBC trek - The best experience and our guide Ram was incredible! Flights were delayed 27 hours from Lukla so my only advice would be to allow enough time either end as this is quite common. But we made up the time on the trek due to Ram’s experience and he helped keep the groups morale high throughout. Other then that the trip was seamless! Getting ill from altitude is also common but we felt so looked after when this did hit the group! Ram also went above his job role and rang an immigration officer for us about a visa issue and sorted it instantly! Indira was also amazing and so supportive in the preparation leading up to the trip and Prakash was the best assistant guide helping us every step of the way. If you are debating on whether to book this trip just do it - a once in a lifetime experience that we will remember forever thanks to Icicles.

We've just accomplished the Manaslu Circuit Trek and it was amazing! Indira made sure everything was arranged perfectly from arrival at Kathmandu airport untill our departure 18 days later. During the trek our guide Sandip and porter Ram made sure we could trek and rest safely, comfortably, and with a lot of fun. We would really recommend Icicles Adventure and will definitely come back for another trek!

Wow ..just wow
Had waited because of Covid just over 2 years for this trip
Heart was set on EBC but the Mountains can be cruel sometimes …we waited for one day and with Icicles experience we all collectively decide we need a plan B C And maybe a D ..The back ground staff and our guide Ram offerd us a selection of options and we took the chance to do a real remote area and not so commercial as EBC route .we choose the Manaslu trek and the staff had all of our passes and plans sorted by the early part of the next day ..the trip ..well you have to go yourselves but as for the company, staff ,guides and Sherpas …all I now regard as friends ..nothing was to hard or unmanageable , flexible , quick thinking ,adaptable and all with a smile and a good understanding of what we wanted from our trip ….please use these guys as they Are absolutely the best

Shiva and his team have made our trekking around the Manaslu to an unforgettable adventure. We had to worry about nothing and could enjoy every minute. Shiva is a great guide who has given us a lot of information about the landscapes, animals and culture of Nepal. I can definitely recommend Shiva and his team
