We returned from EBC trek with Icicles via AdventurePeople.com and it has been a truly magic experience from start to finish. Icicles are reasonably priced, very well organised, they have great guides and despite me booking 1 week before the trek departed they were able to accommodate all flights and arrangements to get to Lukla with no issue. If you're considering doing ebc without a guide you'll likely get AMS and not enjoy it as much, the Icicles guides ensured we paced ourselves correctly and acclimatised all the way which is hugely important to avoid being ill. Massive thanks to everyone at icicles and Lok and Gurbinda for giving us such a great trip with no problems. I wholly recommend Icicles for ebc or any tour, they're ace.

I have just completed the EBC trek with helicopter return and I can't praise Icicles highly enough!
From our first meeting with them at KTM airport, thier staff were so helpful and friendly. Everything was very well organised and efficiently ran and our tour guide, Pusa, was outstanding. She had great knowledge of the areas we hiked through and was so kind and friendly through out the trip. Our porter, Kazi, was also a great guy and accompanied us on the "rest day" treks and to base camp.
Everyday on the trek feels different and exciting as the terrain and views change with far too many highlights to list!
If you are pushed for time or don't fancy the trek back, I would really recommend paying the extra for the helicopter ride back to Lukla. The ride was absolutely breathtaking and its something I will remember forever.
I would 100% recommend Icicles and would definitely book with them again.
Thank you so much to the team!

Organised a tour of the Khumbu, from Lukla up to Everest Base Camp, as well as accommodation and logistics within Kathmandu. Organisation was high class with absolutely everything taken care of in a friendly manner; before our trip Indira was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to all of our queries (no matter how silly they were). In the mountains we had fantastic accommodation almost every night, from chatting to others it was usually the best available - which is so important after a day’s trekking for both recovery and morale. Throughout our ten days Lok (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable on the valley but also high altitude trekking; we were lucky enough to get to know a wonderful man who was humourous (very) as appropriate but ever aware of what was best for us and why. Thanks Icicles!

Got to Kathmandu and somebody already knew what I looked like in a busy taxi street and came to collect me. The hotel in Kathmandu was much better than I expected. Met up with my guide on the first morning at the hotel and She took me and others to the airport to fly to Lukla. From there we tracked over 10 days staying at different tea houses along the way. Our guide was beyond professional and was pointing out all the nature along the way along with every peak. Everything was organised to a high standard. I really can’t say anything negative about this company at all. They even got me a birthday cake and I didn’t mention it was my birthday 😂.
If your thinking of going to do this trek, look no further than icicles.

I participated in the Everest base camp trek March 2022. Even before we left the UK the team were in touch.

We had a welcome meal when we met our fellow trekkers (who were awesome) and despite delays in getting to Lukla due to bad weather Icicles very quickly sourced an alternative for us to ensure there was no further delay.

Sadly we didn’t make it to EBC as my partner was taken very ill and we required evacuation via helicopter to the hospital in Kathmandu.
Indira, Parashu and Ram were absolutely amazing and the whole process was dealt with so smoothly and efficiently, even visiting us in the hospital.

Up until this point the trek had been amazing. Our guides Ram and Prakash were outstanding. They were so supportive, fun and reassuring. Big thank you to the awesome porters too. All the tea houses along the trek were very comfortable and welcoming after a long days walking, and the food and drink were superb.

I can’t recommend Icicles adventure team highly enough and will definitely be coming back to do another trek with them.

Thank you all x

Just finished the EBC trek with Icicles (via the adventure people). Had a great time and would highly recommend. The tour was well organised and our guides Lok and Govinder were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Be prepared to rough it a little but the views and the achievement of reaching EBC and seeing Everest from Kala Patthar make it all worth it.

We have just got back from this trek (April 2019) and it was fantastic! We were collected from the airport by our guide Ram, the following day we found out we needed crampons and Ram came with us to help us find the right ones (on his day off!!). Hari and Indira met with us and talked us through the itinerary before we left giving opportunity for any questions. The trek itself was breathtaking, hard work but well worth it. My friend needed to be heli evacuated off the mountain, this was sorted completely by Icicles and a room was available for her in Kathmandu the rest of the trek time. We had issues with our flights and again Hari ensured there was a room for us for as long as we needed. The porters were well looked after and not overloaded, cannot say enough about Ram our guide, who ensured we were all okay all of the time...he was amazing!!!
I would like to return to do the Annapurna trek and would not consider any other company to go with, Icicles are professional, friendly and give a very personalised service. They provide great value for money and I would highly recommend them, I look forward to returning!

If you are looking for a friendly, trustworthy, good value trekking company for your trip to the Himalayas, then look no further than Icicles Adventures.

When I started my search for a trekking company to help with my son and I’s ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to EBC, I was shocked at how many there were! I contacted a couple and immediately got a good feeling from Icicles. They were prompt with their responses and offered a quality itinerary. This included all airport transfers which was great after a tiring journey. It also included a thorough preparation meeting with Hari and Indira in their Kathmandu office the day before the trek.

The real star for us was our Icicles guide Shiva Shrestha with who we established an immediate rapport and who made our trek a real joy. Shiva had great experience and knowledge of the area. He also seemed to know everyone! We always had good places to stay and his attentiveness to our wellbeing and acclimatisation meant that we were able to achieve all our aspirations from the trek. Perhaps most telling was the many comments we received from other trekkers about how lucky we were to have such a great guide!

I really cannot speak highly enough of this company. We were made to feel part of their family and would not hesitate in using them again.

We are all bowled over by your praise - you have become a window for Icicles Adventure Treks' potential future travelers. Thank you for the time you took to write this lovely review! We are glad that your experience with our team was fantastic - this is always our objective. You spotted perceptively so many of the nuances of the place, the charm and beauty of the area, the skilled guides for walks that it is equally hard for us to respond...except to give you a true and heartfelt thank you in return. Do come back to Nepal, a small country but packed with adventure, beauty and opportunity to explore and discover.... Icicles Adventure Team

From beginning to end our trek with Icicles was a great experience. We contacted Icicles on line and they were very helpful and responsive, in particular Hari and Indira. They also provided a very helpful list of tips when preparing for the trek which was invaluable. On arrival in Kathmandu they met us at the airport and took us to their hotel which was very comfortable and friendly (especially welcome on our return from EBC!). They organised our flights to and from Lukla including airport transfers and even rebooked for us when, at the first attempt, Lukla was closed due to weather (quite common). On the trek, our guide Prakesh and porter Nobbin were superb - Prakesh in particular was very knowledgeable, fun and friendly. He genuinely seems to enjoy his job which makes for a very positive customer experience. The overall trek is quite hard but Icicles made it an amazing (and very safe) experience and even took us out for dinner on our return to Kathmandu. There are a lot of tour companies offering these treks but I would not hesitate in recommending Icicles to anyone considering one. I would definitely use them again (and probably will as there are many more treks to do in addition to EBC).

This was the trip of a lifetime. A long-held passion for Everest, resulted several years ago in the discovery that one could trek to Basecamp. While researching companies to help make that dream come true, I discovered icicle Adventures - probably the best thing that I did. Icicle Adventures upped the trip by offering and overnight at Basecamp. My Brother and I signed up.

After a couple of years of planning (and waiting out COVID), we finally landed in Kathmandu and were met seamlessly by Prakash and a driver. We were whisked off to the Ramada Encore - our base before and after the trek.

The following day we met with Indira to discuss the trip logistics and details. Mrs. Indira is a lovely, caring and patient individual, with a deep-rooted sense of commitment and service to her clients. This is a culture and approach that is ever present in all who are affiliated with this fine company.

My brother and I opted to trek using only a guide and caring our own backpacks. This proved to be a challenging (yet rewarding) decision.

The following morning, we met our guide for the trip - TN. He proved to be nothing less than amazing. I simply cannot say enough about him. From his never-ending smile, to his boundless energy, to his commitment to service, and most importantly - to his overarching commitment to our safety - this man has it all.

This trip is challenging, and the impacts of reduced oxygen make it even more so. Having a guide like TN made it bearable. Every day TN would take care of us - from taking our food orders, to getting our rooms, to explaining and describing the mountains - TN did it all. Our entire family became friends with him via social media - a real gem and treasure. A man born for the mountains and this kind of work.

A highlight for us was truly, the opportunity to spend the night a Basecamp - it was a dream come true. To sleep on a glacier, at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall, surrounded by mountaineers - was simply incredible.

Sure, there are bigger "trekking factory" companies, with links to the US, and still others with lots of presence - but you simply cannot get the personalized, caring service that you can from an approachable company like Icicle Adventures. They have a vast menu of trekking options, and LOTS of experience. For us it was like one big family.

I can unequivocally tell you to look no further - book with Icicle adventures.

Please message me if you have any questions.
