About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 6Jules0 contributionsStill no refundStill no refund or contact from Mr Roka. Given him and his company plenty of time to send us the money now. We did not ask him to keep the money and paid for next time? He told us at the beginning we would receive a refund. We are not going to Nepal and if we were in the future we would book another company. We sent several emails to him no response. My friend sent just one single email to test him asking about a trip and he responded right away. Please be aware of this company and dont hand over any money before you go on any trips. Money goes to this strange communal bank account. We paid via paypal to safeguard but they couldnt help. Dont want this to happen to anyone else.Written January 12, 2023
- 6Jules0 contributionsTerrible Customer ServicePoor Customer Service. Still waiting on the refund from Mr Roka (Nepal) from our tour after him promising several times. Don't tour with this company as it is not honest. Mr Roka seems to disappear, does not have a current email addresses (bounces back) or contact numbers (disconnected). They have given Paypal the incorrect email contact also. They are now investigating. PLEASE BE AWARE before paying for anything - even a deposit. Pre COVID we are very frequent world travelers and this has been the worst experience. No confidence in booking with Mr Roka again.Written December 28, 2020
- Cstryker0 contributionsFriendship Nepal Delivers Again! This is the second time we have gone with Friendship Nepal, Mr. Roka and his team. Again, they outdid themselves with excellent planning (especially important in Nepal), a knowledgeable guide, and good contingency plans in our itinerary (which we did need to use). We did a unique and off-the-beaten-track trek to Phoksundo Lake staying in delightful tea houses in very small villages the entire route. The Dolpa region was very beautiful and remote and we cannot say enough about the quality of our experience. Wherever we went, the drivers were there and we were well taken care of throughout. This year is Visit Nepal 2020 and we are so glad we did—thank you for the professional work you do Mr. Roka!Written February 17, 2020
- Gail C0 contributionsNepal 11 day tour as a small group of 5We had the most enjoyable and fantastic tour through Nepal by small coach organised by Roka travelling from Kathmandu to Nagarkot staying at The Fort Resort in most unbelievable surroundings. Then to Chitwan National Perk staying at beautiful Green Park Resort. We had an adventure on elephants through the forest seeing rhinos in the lagoon eating water hyacinth and hearing different birds and monkeys. We visited an elephant breeding farm by crossing the river by dugout canoe. An experience not to be missed. Then we drove on to Buddha's birthplace Lumbini. Words cannot express this part of the spiritual trip. Not to be missed. The roads around Lumbini are being expanded and this was challenging! We then travelled on to Pokhara and finally saw the Annapurnas at daybreak. Most magical. The trip back to Kathmandu staying at the Hotel Himalaya was most enjoyable and we enjoyed watching a garden party after a Nepalese wedding where around 500 guests enjoyed themselves . The flight over Mt Everest was abandoned after 2 seperate attempts over 2 days due to cloud. We cannot speak highly enough of our most cautious driver who drove us for 11 days. Well done Roka and your team!Written November 6, 2019
- Fratarta740 contributionsVery good experience! We are a family of three with 11yo kid and asked Mr Roka a car with driver to bring us five days around Nepal and he was very helpful. He helped us to organize visits in order to enjoy everyday at their best, considering local traffic (!!)and provided us a very safe and polite driver for going around. We can really suggest him and his staff for your tailored made visit to Nepal!Written August 24, 2019
- emjpdx0 contributionsFriendship Nepal Tours Always came through!Over the course of a week, Friendship Nepal Tours (FNT) was responsible for the Nepal leg of a 15 day overland tour set up by Tibet Vista. Every aspect of the tour set up by FNT was well done. They shifted me from Hotel Yak and Yeti to Crown Plaza Solatee (a great move!), provided guides in Kathmandu and Pokhara, and organized river rafting and paragliding on the fly. They also provided pick up and drop off services to and from the airport. In all cases, they did exactly as they said and as punctually as one could ask for. I was particularly impressed by my Kathmandu guide - Ramesh. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke very good English. What stood out the most was a trip to Pashnapatti Temple. During the hour we were there, we witnessed many creamations and Ramesh thoughtfully explained Hindu beliefs and practices related to dying and cremation. That experience alone is something I will never forget.Written November 15, 2018
- 94Lora150 contributionsBest of Nepal Tour & Trek - awesome tourWe booked the best of Nepal Tour & Trek and were two People. Roka was very friendly and helpful and answered all My e-Mails promptly. He picked us up at the airport as promised. The tour was great we enjoyed the Kathmandu City Tour with Kishor our City Guide ! During the Trek our guide for poon Hill Trek was Ramesh and it was a wonderful experience . He was so nice and friendly and patient We Loved the Tour and would Highly reccomend Friendship Tour Nepal .Written June 17, 2018
- Gail S0 contributionsLoved every minute of our tripWe visited Kathmandu and Chitwan National Park in our short six day trip. Roka and his team were well-organised and efficient with communication. Every aspect of our trip went according to the itinerary and we were well informed about the details. I highly recommend this company.Written October 26, 2017
- Ivy4950 contributionsTHEY DID EVERYTHING FOR USFrom the time I emailed them until we left they were always good about communicating. They tailored a trip to exactly what we wanted. They even contacted us after the trip to make sure that we were happy with how everything went. The only hiccup was we went specifically during Holi week because we wanted the full immersion of the culture and on Holi day everything was closed so we paid for a day but did not really get to do much. But our driver/guide was Buddhist instead of Hindu so he took us around for a few hours and then we were on our own the rest of that day. But otherwise Nepal was the most amazing experience ever and this tour company helped make it that way.Written September 21, 2017
- MeganRita0 contributionsIncredible "Best of Nepal" trip with Ramesh and Friendship NepalMy spouse and I took the trip of a lifetime with Friendship Nepal. Before our trip, Ram and Roka were responsive and kind over email on the front end, taking ample time to answer our (many) questions thoroughly. Then, from our arrival at the airport in Kathmandu through the end of our journey of 14 days, we were in the very capable hands of Ramesh, who could not have been a better guide. Ramesh had a superior grasp on the history, culture, and landscape of Nepal. He was considerate, patient, and generous in his attention to us--from thoroughly sharing the history of the country and the sites we were visiting, to giving insights into the cultural norms and traditions of Nepal, to helping to hold me steady during wet and slippery spots on the monsoon trails (I'm new to trekking and I'm also a timid downhill trekker), to even taking our orders and helping with the cooking at some of the mountain tea house accommodations. While some independent trekkers experienced leech bites on the trail (a non-uncommon occurrence on jungle treks during monsoon time and one that I wished to avoid if possible), Ramesh had a fantastic system he shared with us that kept us all from getting even one bite the whole time! Ramesh helped us feel completely at home throughout our whole trip. Our driver Shiva and porter Binod were also top-notch. The entire Friendship Nepal itinerary was nicely laid out, with a good balance of cities, cultural sites, mountain trekking, and some jungle safari. The 3 star accommodations in which we stayed were comfortable and well-chosen. We felt that the entire package was a great value. Some folks had warned us beforehand that July is not an ideal season to visit Nepal due to the hot, wet weather of monsoon--but I'm glad we went anyway, and I'm even more glad that we went with Friendship Nepal!Written August 3, 2017

- Sharon9260 contributionsRam is the best! He helped me so much.Fortunately I found this agency to help me with my trip to Tibet. Despite all the times I changed my mind, Ram remained calm and professional. He helped me in everything. Even after the tour was over, I accidentally called him, and he responded immediately. Ram knew all the rules about my getting into China and Tibet, and all that he did turned out to be accurate information. I got my visa for Tibet and mainland China without problem. I definitely recommend Ram as a dedicated, hard-working, knowledgeable travel agent.Written May 8, 2017
- CChaya0 contributionsExcellent driver and tour guides!!!I used Friendship tour for my first visit to Nepal in Dec 2016. Thanks to the driver and tour guides, I had an excellent trip. They are always ready to help and have an excellent knowledge of the areas visited. Great team and I highly recommend them.Written April 12, 2017
- forshara0 contributionsThanks to Roka and his team, we had an AMAZING Nepal experience!Where do I begin to sing praises about this tour group? We visited Nepal for 13 days and wanted only to tour for 9. I contacted Friendship Nepal Tours and Roka worked diligently with me to meet my request. We had excellent accommodation and those that he did suggest, I checked on TripAdvisor and from that, requested that a couple of the hotels be changed, which he did. My husband was sick the second day of the tour (we had been so very, very careful!!) but Roka took it in stride and changed our plans around so hubby could rest. Our guide, Ramesh, for Kathmandu was extremely knowledgable of the legends, history and religious beliefs. Our driver was Mohan and was excellent. Many of the roads are in deplorable condition and driving is unlike anything I have ever experienced in all of my traveling days but I felt completely safe with Mohan at the wheel. Unfortunately, the last day of our trip, I fell and cut my head real badly. Ramesh and Mohan were so very helpful and attentive. We tried to send them home from the hospital as it was getting late but they insisted on staying. They were both a huge help and comfort....I was fine..needed two stitches and fortunately no concussion or broken bones! From Kathmandu, Mohan drove us to Chitwan Jungle area. All arrangements for the hotel, meals and guide were arranged by Friendship Nepal Tours and our time there went smoothly. From Chitwan, Mohan drove us to Pokhara where an overnight hike to the Australian Camp had been arranged, as well as a tour of Pokhara. Our guide was Rams and again, he was top-notch. Rams helped arrange a helicopter tour to Annapurna Base camp, that proved to be the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for an A-1 tour group to help you explore Nepal, look no further...this is the one for you!Written March 31, 2017
- SexySharaabi0 contributionsBest Tour Company! Had the time of my life!I have been to over 15 different countries, and let me tell you Nepal with Friendship Tours and Travels blew everything out of the water. This company is professional, reliable, and the service is excellent. Roka responded to my emails promptly and was very accommodating. He quickly and easily arranged a custom tour for me based on what I wanted to see. The driver, Bashu Poudel, was excellent. He is a very skilled driver. I really appreciate him taking me everywhere with safety as a priority. He is very kind, professional, and great company. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was with him and how thankful I am that I had the opportunity to meet him and that he was my driver. The Kathmandu guide, Ramesh Koirala (Sasha), was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and honestly the best tour guide I have ever had. The tour guides in other sites were fantastic as well. Every hotel the company put me in was excellent, among the best I have ever stayed at with excellent service, staff, food, and cleanliness. Apsara Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu, Peaceful Cottage in Nagarkot, Buddha Maya Garden in Lumbini, and The Kantipur Hotel in Pokhara all were among the best hotels I have stayed at in the world. I highly recommend this company!!!Written March 31, 2017
