It was not easy to see seven beautiful UNESCO sites in one day. But my guide Ananta and driver Gagan were both great and up to the task. I was picked-up promptly at 7AM and we went through all the places as itemized in the tour’s full description. Despite it being a long day, Ananta and Gagan both kept their energy levels high. Ananta was very knowledgeable and you could see his passion in what he does. He truly loves his job meeting new people and telling them about these places with so much enthusiasm. Gagan was a very skillful driver and I felt very safe from pick-up till drop-off. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nepal, especially those with limited time in Kathmandu as you get to see all seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in only one day.

We did the Nagarkot sunrise view and hike. Pankaj, our guide, and the driver were both fantastic! Accommodating, kind, knowledgeable, very pleasant to talk to, and trustworthy. The easy hike is through a village and is mostly in the sun. The car was clean, and it had AC. Both guide and driver were punctual. I would have no reservation on booking this again with Pankaj. Tips: Bring chocolates to give to the village kids. (I regret not doing it) Bring toilet paper.

I booked a luxury private tour with their Number 1 Guide: Shishir! Spend the extra money for personalized service. Completely worth it! Shishir is native of Gorkha (brave warriors and good beer), has been a guide for 15 years and has literally been everywhere in Nepal. He said this trip is top recommendation - and locals stop to say hello to him all along the trail. Started with 4:25am pickup from Hyatt Regency - easy ride to Tower with plenty of time to catch sunrise. Stopped for breakfast (1600 rupee - worth every rupee), then embarked on our journey. If you want a challenging hike, Shishir will be happy to provide it! That said, we both did this hike in sneakers - No hiking boots required, but bring a big bottle of water - which Shishir will be happy to carry for you (as he is used to carrying a heavy pack - this is like a day off for him!). With Shishir - and our able driver - anything is possible! We did this hike just days after horrible, deadly monsoon. Several roads were not in good condition - as evidenced by dirt on our tires! - but that was part of our adventure!

We did the Annapurna Basecamp trek and it was probably the most incredible experience of my life. The mountains were one thing but our guide, Shishir and Sherpa, Muskan made our entire experience what it was. We learnt so much about the mountains, culture and language. We actually left the mountains and felt so much sadness that the whole journey was over. I’ll remember this forever and so grateful for the incredible memories thanks to the team at Himalayan Planet Adventures. Highly recommend - we didn’t have to lift a finger!

Due to the weather unfortunately we couldn’t go on the cable ride but my tour guide Shanti still made my day very worth while! She took me to various temples and was extremely knowledgeable. Shanti was kind, bubbly, and one of the best tour guides I’ve had whilst travelling and I would highly recommend her to anybody looking for a guide. Highly recommend!!

We can see beautiful sunrise!! Our guide, Ananta, talked a lot & took many photos for us and never bored us. It’s a private tour, so we can enjoy at our own pace. It will definitely be an unforgettable experience!

Seeing the sun rise over the Himalayas in Nargarkot was spectacular. Got lucky with a clear morning and we were able to see Everest! My guide, Shishir, was super—picked me up promptly from my hotel at 4:00AM and our driver got us there in plenty of time to climb the Lookout Tower just before the first rays started to appear. Shishir is easy going and answered all my endless questions. He took a ton of amazing photos, which he shared with me while eating breakfast. The hike through the villages was relaxed, with so many picturesque vistas, passing through Buddha Peace Park and ending at Changu Nayayan—the oldest temple in Nepal, dating back to 464 C.E. A morning not to be missed!

We had a fantastic time with this day. Our guide gave us lots of useful information and some well. We made a wish at the temple and also seen a couple getting married. Unfortunately it was cloudy the day we went but was still enjoyable.

I chose this company for a private tour of Chandragiri Hill. **First you should keep in mind that what day of the week you go will impact your experience. Maybe steer clear of Saturdays**. This company responded immediately following my booking and introduced Ananta who was to be my tour guide. Ananta contacted me soon after. From the moment I was picked up I knew I was in good hands with a positive vibe in the vehicle. Throughout the day I found Ananta to be extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic in his delivery and easy to understand with 100% of my attention. He was into photo taking as well which I loved, being a solo traveller. Ananta was a lot of fun, I am thankful and I highly recommend him for this tour.

If you are travelling to Kathmandu this trip is a must. We were picked up and dropped off by taxi (who waited for us). The flight was amazing try to get left hand side of plane seats if you can but if not the plane turns so both sides will have amazing views and opportunities for photos. We flew with Yeti airlines and the hostess’s pointed out mountains during flight - very helpful.

Patan is probably the best preserved and best restored of the three Malla imperial cities of the Kathmandu Valley. The monuments around the Durbar square, the Museum and the Golden Temple are simply astonishing. Immediately after my booking I have received a whatsapp message from one of the managers of the Agency. Our communication was perfect. The driver was more than punctual, the tour guide (Shanti) was extremely cultivated, polite and professional. Being an expert of Nepali culture it was beautiful to listen at her information. We felt priviledged. Her English is good and she does not really look at time if you prolong the visit of a monument. I particulalry liked the Durbar sq and the Golden Buddha in the museum. The Golden Temple accross the street was nforgettable. Shanti chose the right moment when a group of devotees from Kirtipur were chanting. I really wish to go back to Kathmandu. By the way we went in monsoon time and did not rain much, the temperature was pleasant and the vegetation lush and beautiful.

This was our favorite site in the Kathmandu Valley. It is a little far away from the city center but it is the most serene and beautiful place. As established with the agency, the private car came to pick us up in our hotel right on time. The car was comfortable, with air condition and new. The driver very polite with a safe driving style. The tour guide was simply magnificent. Shanti is a young woman who had studied Napali art and culture at the University. Her knowledge is amazing. I am an art historian and I was very interested in the statue of Vishnu. She explained it from the general to the particular, meaning first she spoke about the religious context than, the meaning of the water, the sleeping God, the rituals, the offerings. We did not want to leave. It was mesmerizing. Thank you for such a beautiful excursion. Please preserve all these places. I am a tourist and I am aware that tourism can be polluting. If you go to Budhanilkanta be respectful, do not take photos, stay away from the worshipers. The Kathmandu Valley is a very fragile and vulnerable place.

Fantastic experience today on this day tour to Chandragiri Hills on the cable car. Picked up on time at my hotel, Ananta, my excellent guide for the day, then looked after picking up the tickets for the cable car, which are included in the price, and up we went on one of the steepest and most spectacular cable car trips in the World. Ananta showed me around the Temple at the top, explaining everything in excellent detail. Enjoyed a nice lunch at the top, and after a leisurely period of enjoying the stunning views, back down in the cable car enjoying even more stunning views. Ananta helped me out with photos, and he and our great driver got me safely back to my hotel. Ananta was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and just a real nice guy. Great day and highly recommended!

Shanti was a great guide. She’s very knowledgeable about the sites. Good thing! She asked whether I wanted to visit the cremation site, to which I politely refused. I had a wonderful time. However, it would have been better if the price was more affordable.
