We had traveled from Katmandu to Pokhara last 20 oct 2018. I had booked tickets and paid it 20days earlier of the travel. On the travel day, we had a extremely bad experience. Day before the travel I had called the suppiler and they confirmed seat numbers. Then travel day, they told me seat is filled!!! Then the supplier tried to manage seats for us on other bus over phone. He continuesly told me to go here to there to different buses with our heavy luggage! Alright then after 1hour they managed us 2 seats but alas! Last two seats.

Taken in May 2019, booked through Lumbini Village Lodge for 1500 NPR though suspect actual price closer to 1200. Day before there had been some nonsense with bus breaking down and travellers asked for 200 NPR extra- owner was being chastised on hostel for that so just say no! Bus leaves from tourist bus stop outside Lumbini bazaar, book at least day before as locals take it and it picks up frequently. Relatively comfortable, AC worked well, blaring TV for about 4 hours (bring headphones), few rest stops, lunch stop at the obvious canteen for 25mins- menu is on the left in EN, thali was the quickest meal. With stop offs and KTM traffic journey was 11 hours, so you've been warned! Eventual end point in KTM was Gongabu bus station, though others got off near Kalanaki. Enjoy!

Do not take this. There are cheaper better options at your hotel or any tour stand in Thamel. 10+ hours.
