Ghorepani Ghandruk trek lies in Gandaki Province between the lake city Pokhara and the northern Himalayas. This trek is named after two Gurung ethnic villages dwelt by the Brave Gurkhas in the popular Annapurna region. Most of the male members of these villages are involved in the British and Indian Army, so called the Gurkhas. Walking along the easy trail through the lush oak and rhododendron forests, you can have the mesmerizing view of the Himalayas. The snow capped peaks of Annapurna (8,091 m) Massif and Dhaulagiri (8,0167 m) Massif are the incredible gift of this trek. Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Mt. Nilgiri and Singa Chuli add up something to the unforgettable trekking in the Pokhara Valley. To begin this trek, you can fly or drive to Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway built on the banks of two major rivers. The blacktopped road continuously runs through the banks of the Trishuli River and the Marsyangdi River. The roadway travel gives you the alluring view.

Everest Base camp at 67. From the 4 World Heritage sites to EBC and back - an epic adventure.
Easily the most beautiful place on earth. This was the adventure of all adventures. If you love mountains, the Himalayas are heaven and the Nepali people and culture are magical. Can’t recommend Nepal Trekking Routes enough. Shailesh Pokharel and his team were professional and thorough. My guide Bishnu Magar was incredible. 10 out 10 by any and all standards.

        Explore Nepal stress free!
We highly recommend this tour of Nepal… We highly recommend this tour of Nepal to anyone wanting to have a good overview of the country. We were able to travel smoothly with the help of our tour guide ,Shailesh who picked us up from the airport and enabled us to travel safely to see many beautiful sites. We had a great experience with comfortable and clean accomodation and delicious food! The guides in each area that were organised by company owner, Shailesh were knowledgeable and friendly. We saw beautiful sites and met beautiful people. The drivers and transport were safe and we were able to have free time to ourselves as we wanted. We were able to be flexible with the tour to suit us. We trusted Shailesh and all elements of he tour were easy. We would like to come back to Nepal for trekking one day and will go through this company again. Thankyou from Australia! Kat and Casey

        The best birthday present EVER
I had the most magical experience trekking the Annapurna Circuit via Thorong La Pass with Nepal Trekking Routes Treks. Whilst I was travelling solo, I wasn’t “alone” because I had the most amazing guide and porter (Bishnu and Binod) who made the trip everything it was and more. They both bought such great energy and were so helpful and attentive throughout the trek - they even organised a home made (or tea house made) cake whilst in one of the most remote locations on the trek, to surprise me for my birthday! The views along the way were incredible, and Bishnu was super flexible in terms of “making the plan” daily - adding in extra afternoon walks on the days we arrived to a tea hour early and/or I had some extra energy to burn! If you’re planning a trekking trip to Nepal, you MUST book through this company. Your guide genuinely makes or breaks your experience, so it’s so important to book with a knowledgeable and reliable company!

Sara and Jo Jiri to EBC
We cannot recommend this company highly enough. From pick up at the airport to being dropped back there. The manager was professional, corresponding immediately to our every message. He made everything seamlessly smooth. We had a fantastic local guide, Bishnu who knows the routes and the mountains inside out. He was able to change our route easily when needed and made sure we had lovely stops overnight. Our porter, Tec was incredible and so lovely. The whole team was kind and thoughtful. We were so very well looked after. The prices are also very competitive. We chose to walk in from Jiri using the public bus from Kathmandu. It was hilarious, and we are so glad we did . It was also so good to see the real Nepal as we walked in to Lukla . The views and scenery are awesome My friend and I struggled a lot but Bishnu and Tec got us through the trek Thry worked hard and we couldnt have managed without them Certainly an adventure worth having. We will always use this company 10/10 !!!

        Langtang Gosainkunda trek 14 days
We did the Langtang Gosainkunda trek. Shailesh, the managing director was very helpful and responsive with our queries right from the beginning. He picked us up personally at Kathmandu airport. We had a very experienced guide Ratna who was excellent and took good care of us throughout the trek. He knew the trekking routes very well and was very knowledgeable. He was flexible and able to make changes in the itinerary due to the weather to ensure our safety and wellbeing. He ensured that we would get the best accommodation available on the trek as well as the best food. Our porter Vinod was also very helpful, strong and fast. The view from Kyanjin Ri was breathtaking. We were fortunate to see Gosainkunda lake before and after snow. We took the alternative option of paying extra for private jeep transfers instead of the public bus which was definitely worth the extra cost. Overall we would highly recommend Nepal Trekking Routes, and we are planning to come back again for another trek with this company.

        Simply the best
I travelled to Nepal in September 2023 to complete the Anapurna Circuit Trek. Shailesh and his whole team were wonderful from beginning to end. Shailesh communicated promptly and answered all my questions before the trip. He briefed us on preparations and was flexible when dates/hotels etc changed. Unfortunately, I got altitude sickness close to the end of the trek and had to turn around. Everything was taken care of. I will always be grateful that in a moment of complete disappointment, I didn’t have to worry about how to get back home safely. When our helicopter tour was cancelled because of new government rules, Shailesh did all he could to try and fix it. The Tour Leaders and trek staff were all amazing. The food and accommodation (albeit simple) was great. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone considering trekking in Nepal. It’s also good to support local businesses, that deliver a much personalised and locally driven approach. Book these guys - they are simply the best!

        Jiri To EBC WOW !!!
Our journey started in Kathmandu with a bus to Jiri/Bhandar. Our guide and porter travelled with us. From there we walked to EBC, back over the Chola pass and back to Lukla. It took 21 adventure packed days and was the most incredible, toughest, inspiring, awesome thing we have ever done. Shailesh organised everything perfectly. From collecting us at the airport to ensuring everything at the hotel was good and keeping in contact with us through our trek. Then getting us the only flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu!! Even to providing a meal at his house on our last night. Bishnu our guide and Tek our porter were nothing short of angels!! Both were absolutely amazing!! They were so very supportive. Very aware of our safety. Their expertise helped us through many challenging days They could not have looked after us any better. I honestly dont think we would have found a better guide or porter anywhere on earth!! Bishnu had such knowledge of the area and mountains, and was always cheerful and fun. He knew what we needed before we did ourselves and always arranged each day to accommodate us. The tea houses we stayed in, he always made sure we had good rooms and we enjoyed our time in all of them. Even one morning when we didnt eat breakfast as we werent hungry, but then we had taken so long to cover the miles to our stop we were flagging. (Mainly due to the altitude and the cold and the terrain.) Bishnu sent Tek on ahead to buy food and hot water and bring it back to us. So dear Tek covered a whole lot of extra miles that day and we had a hot "picnic " I highly recommend Nepal Trekking Routes. Shailesh the owner is extremely responsive to any communication. We were nearly 2 years organising our trip and he replied almost immediately to every contact we made to him. Thankyou so much to the whole team of Nepal trekking routes. you made our dreams come true in the most enjoyable and safe way! You are all amazing and we cant wait to book with you again.

A rewarding trek into the mountains
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the trek, including the bus trip to and from the Langtang Valley. Woulderful scenery, excellent accommodation in tea houses and local hotels, good food, especially the garlic soup and tibetan bread with accompanying masala tea. We saw monkeys, deer, mountain goats, a variety of birds including a wren, a pair of small brown squirrels, and belive it or not a pair of red pandas. You have to admire and respect the people who live in the villages up through the valley. Kindness and hospitality were second to none. And to think there are no roads. Everything needed to supply the villages is taken up by either donkey or human transport. Wonderful people.

        Langtang Valley Gosaikunda trek
I did the Langtang Gosaikunda trek this January and booked it trough Shailesh. Shailesh was an amazing guy who picked me up from the airport and helped me in every way he could to make my stay in Nepal even better. The trek was amazing starting in the Langtang valley. As we got higher up, the valley opened up where you could see the ice capped mountains. In the village Kyjangin Gompa we met some lovely people who talked about the earthquake and the way they live. After partly going back down we headed up again on our way to the holy lake Gosaikunda. The temperatures were cold but that made up for an even better experience. Together with my guide and porter we had an amazing time and became friends. I highly recommend booking trough Shailesh and will definitely come back to Nepal!

        Kanchenjunga trek.
I did the Kanchenjunga trek in November 2023. I've been to Nepal almost 20 times now so I know the country pretty well. This hike is the most difficult one after the 3 passes trek in Khumbu clockwise direction. The Annapurna or Khumbu treks are on average nicer for me but this one is just above all the others for 5-6 days of trek. Northern BC and the junction between northern and southern BC offer the most beautiful views among all the treks I have done in Nepal and elsewhere. On the same level of beauty as Renjo la, from the Thame side, and the St Antonio pass in Huayhuash in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. The view from North BC is breathtaking, much more beautiful than Everest I saw from the Lobuche and Gokyo valleys. Everest is just a pyramid but Kanchenjunga is a wall at almost the same altitude, 8,586 m, not just a peak but a 10-15 km long wall ! The amount of ice/glaciers covering the mountain is as impressive as Mustaghata on the Karakoram Highway. Really amazing. Everything worked well for me during the trek. The guest houses are much better than expected. The entire trek is 255 km long and 14,000 m of elevation gain, quite sporty. It takes 17 to 19 days of walking.

        A very good experience
I've done several treks in Nepal so far and contacted Shailesh the owner of "Nepal Trekking Routes" this year as I wanted to stay in upgraded accommodations during the trek whenever possible. He arranged it and that was a real plus for me. He provided me with a cum porter as guides are mandatory along the trek. My husband also did the Kanchenjunga trek with his agency and was also very satisfied. Don't hesitate to contact him if you intend to go trekking in Nepal.

Professional leadership, solid services, competitive pricing
Shailesh, the company owner, is very communicative and hospitable. My 3-week solo trek through Lower and Upper Dolpo was the company's first in that region, but it went very smoothly. The guide was professional and the company allowed me to negotiate some minor adjustments to the itinerary, which went down without a hitch. The experience was terrific. Shailesh's helpfulness didn't end with the trek. When I arrived back in Kathmandu, I got some food poisoning, and his company helped me secure an inexpensive hotel room where I could recover. I recommend Nepal Trekking Routes for its professional leadership, solid services, and competitive pricing.

        Highly-recommended experience
The trekking to Mt Everest Base Camp was a great experience and a challenge. The path was steep, the lodges were ascetic, the air was thin (at least during the last couple of days), but everything was manageable. The views of the Himalayas along the way were magnificent and made the whole journey worth doing and re-doing. The acclimatization was gradual so I didn't experience any of the mountain sickness symptoms. The return by a helicopter saves time and energy after the final point of the trek has been reached. The team who organized the trip and were helping along the way - Shailesh (boss), Bishnu (guide) and Bupal (porter) - were very caring and flexible to our needs. To sum up, this experience is highly recommended.

Amazing trek with an Exceptional Trekking Company
I recently returned from completing the Chola Pass / EBC trek with Nepal Trekking Routes. From my initial contact with Shailesh (owner) to my departure to the airport Nepal Trekking Routes was extremely responsive to my questions and requests and continually made sure that I had a tailor made experience of a lifetime. My guide, Santa, looked out for my comfort and safety and worked hard to ensure we had good accommodations and took advantage of the various side hikes available each day which added greatly to the overall experience. I can recommend Nepal Trekking Routes with 100% confidence that they will deliver exceptional service that the large US and UK travel companies are unable to match in terms of price, local knowledge/contacts or personalized service.

Myself and my son did the Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek which include extra time in Kathmandu for a cultural tour and farewell dinner. This is a good trek for those with limited time and want an introduction to the Annapurna region. The views were stunning and dawn at Poon Hill was a highlight.

We had never done a trek before or even visited Nepal so we did not know what to expect. We were very thankful that, tour owner, Shailesh, was there to meet us at the airport with a smile and then made life easy for us from that point onwards. Nothing was too hard to organise in preparation for the trek and we were kept well informed on what to expect. A bonus is that there is a reasonable amount of flexibility to alter the suggested itinerary both before and during the tour. Our trekking guide, Ratna, was a perfect host educating us about the region and the people as we went. Also he let us maintain the pace that was comfortable for us as well as giving tips about diet such as what to avoid eating.

I was very appreciative when my son got sick (nothing too serious) on day 4 and Ratna provided a cure with his expertise. Another bonus for us was Shailesh and Ranjana hosting a traditional dinner for us and personally taking us to the cable car. Also thanks for getting us to the airport effectively after our tour had officially finished. Looking forward to booking another trek next year.

Tip: I would suggest taking the minimum baggage with you to Nepal and either buy or rent trekking clothing and equipment in Kathmandu as pricing is incredibly cheap.

This was my first time traveling to Nepal. There were a lot of uncertainties with not only the long trek but also with all the covid-related travel restrictions. Shailesh went above and beyond and helped me navigate through all of my uncertainties and hurdles even way before I arrived in Nepal. I was able to enjoy Nepal upon initial landing because all the transportation and accommodations were taken cared of for me ahead of time. The trek I did is the Annapurna Panoramic Trail and it was led by my guid Nawin. I literally have nothing negative to say about my guide or the trek. Nawin really looked after me during the entire trek; from constantly paying attention to how I was breathing and my footsteps (so he could adjust our trekking pace accordingly), to always making sure I get the best room in all of our mountain lodges, he is honestly one of the greatest, down to earth and selfless person I've encountered. As a Taiwanese-American, Nawin also helped me navigate through the cultural differences and unknown that I encountered as well. The trek itself isn't easy, but relatively not too difficult compared to Everest basecamp. Every morning, I am greeted by the golden sunrise that blends beautifully with the mountains and clouds. I know I will remember the 6 days worth of trek for a really, really long time. The only item I want to mention is that there are some additional costs that are not accounted for in this booking and are extra expense. Specifically from my trip, it was the travel expense to and from Pokhara as well as the last 2 night's stay. If I come back to Nepal, I would love to have Shailesh and Nawin help with my trip again. All the best.

This is my 1st solo trekking trip in the new year. I had a great memory with my experienced trekking guide, Mr. Nawin from Nepal Trekking Routes. I chose an easy trekking routes which there are 6 days 5 nights trekking to Poon Hills( the highest point is 3220M). For me, I don’t have any experience to trek in everyday and at the high attitude trekking in Hong Kong. But I am so lucky to meet Mr. Shailesh and his team in Nepal Trekking Routes. They gave me a briefing and suggested me to have enough gears to go to the mountain.

About the services of Nepal Trekking Routes, they provided all an experienced trekking guides who guarded from the A grade Trekking School. They also provided a car service to point to point in Kathmandu and Pokhara. It’s reliable and comfortable. Beside the trekking services, they also can tailor made a schedule to different clients like camping or another outdoors activities in Kathmandu and Pokhara and in other places.

About my trekking guide, Mr. Nawin. Thank you very much for taking care me in this 6 days 5 nights in the mountains. He always try to the best to fulfil what I need. He is a friendly and attentive guy. Also he is also a professional trekking guide to tell me everything about the different routes, villages and local people life style in Nepal.

I think it is very important to choose a good company and a trekking guide to make your journey more enjoyable. So I am highly recommend this nice company to the tourist and trekkers.

I pretty like there have various natural trekking routes in Nepal. I will come back to take Nepal Trekking Routes services in the next year. See you beautiful Nepal 🇳🇵!

4 days/ 3 nights spent amid the beautiful hills of Annapurna region of Nepal by the arrangement of Nepal Trekking Routes . I think one of the top notch operator available in Nepal . Their experience is their strength . Most of the arrangements exceeded the expectations, even though the price was in the higher side . My guide Mr Nawin Pokharel is an energetic amicable youth, really more than a guide. Taking care and guiding are some art , learnt from Mr Nawin . Best of Luck to Nepal Trekking Route !

The tour was accompanied by the operator from the beginning. I was able to ask questions via WhatsApp about topics of all kinds. Everything was discussed personally and on site, the route, the dates, the type of travel and the conditions. The connection via WhatsApp has always worked well and quickly. Both the city guide and the trekking guide were very competent and reliable. The selected round was beautiful and rich in experiences for the eye, ear and feet. I felt well looked after and looked after on the way. It has to travel with Nepal Trekking Routes Pvt ltd. All contributors were very reliable. Thank you again.

It's a pilgrimage hike during peak season. Alot of hikers on the trail. Whether it's crowded or not, the amazing experience of trekking from teahouse to teahouse would be the same. My best experience was having an examplar host, an experienced guide and the friendly porters. Shilus, the Nepal Trekking Routes host was so attentive. He paid attention to our needs and took care of our requests. My guide, Nawin Pokharel, was very experienced with the trail and very relaxed. He allowed the flexible iteniery to accommodate the difference pace of the hikers, which allowed me to soak in the beautiful sceneries and breathe in the fresh air. He also attempted his best to allow taking breaks at the popular stops/town so we can taste the local foods/snacks, like apple pie & apple cider/juice @ Manage Valley. That moment is one of most memorable of trekking. And our Porters, Sundess & Bishu are friendly and took care of our needs during our visits @ the teahouse. Overall, I had an amazing experience on the Annapurna Circuit and definitely will have another adventure with Nepal Trekking Routes.

Firstly, I would recommend this tour company to anyone! From start to finish we had excellent service, Shailesh made contact with us weeks before our tour was due to start in Kathmandu and sent us regular messages with all the details which we required.

Upon arrival we met up and he explained everything that we needed and were doing. If we needed anything we could message him and it was sorted straight away.

The night before we were due to depart Kathmandu and head to Pokhara S come to our hotel to introduce our trekking guide, Harry. There was nothing that we didn’t know about was was happening over the next week.

Harry was amazing throughout our days trekking and helped with anything we needed. He had a great sense of humour which made it all even better. The accommodation you stay in along the way are amazing, the beds are really comfortable and all have amazing views. The food is also great as well... we had the best lemon, ginger and honey teas we’ve ever had whilst we were there.

I would 100% recommend this company to anyone that’s interested in doing any sort of trek in the Himalayas.

This trip was an awesome experience. We had limited time so chose this shorter circuit and found it both challenging and rewarding. Our guide and our porter were excellent company, trekking with us, answering questions and sharing a joke or a story easily. We were collected from airports, dropped to hotels and looked after wonderfully.
The scenery was nothing short of spectacular every single day.

I could recommend this trip more. The tour group were amazing from start to finish! They made sure they had all of our arrival details and give us a big warm welcome.

Shailesh ran us through all the details of the trip and what we could expect. We met Harry who was our tour guide who was also amazing! The accomadation and food along the way was brilliant too. We didn’t have the best weather however we still had an incredible time! The trek itself was the perfect combination of length of time vs amazing scenery of what you would see.

Both Shailesh and Harry went above and beyond for us and really made our trip! I couldn’t recommended them anymore!
