Everest Base Camp: we did it!!
Aug 2019
I was a little bit afraid: would we all be able to reach the Everest Base Camp? It was a physical challenge at this altitude, for which we couldn’t prepare ourselves, even if we hiked a lot in the Alps the months before our journey to Nepal.
We did it, also thanks to the great team! The tour was very well organized, allowing us to acclimatize to the increasing altitude and the thinner air. Our health was accurately monitored by our guide, on top of his organizational work, and I felt safe at any moment. We had also to learn the right rhythm for the hiking.
The landscapes were spectacular, the tour was amazing. The mountains, which were always visible in the morning, were incredibly high. Then, during day, the clouds arrived and only allowed us to see parts of the landscape when they moved. The hanging bridges were impressive but even I achieved to pass them.
It was great!! Thank you Narwin, Raj, Okil and Kumar! And also to Shailesh and his wife for the back office organization!!

EBC Holiday-experience
Aug 2019 • Family
Together with our guide Navien we hiked to the Everest Base Camp.
I am giving 5 stars, because our travel agency was reliable, flexible and careful, our trip was safe and well organized, and because we had an amazing experience.

Travelling in off-season can be challenging sometimes, because villages might be empty and a lot of hotels are closed; Navien successfully managed our accommodations and restaurants.

Apart from the unforgettable views, the EBC-track is remarkable for its soustainable tourism, as no street for automobiles has been built for construction purposes. Every house you see on your path is built with local materials and sherpas carry only the most important things like wooden walls and food up the mountains. Thank you guys for showing it to us!!!

From Lukla to Kala Pattar
Aug 2019 • Family
On our Trek to EBC I pushed towards limits, I partially didn't even know existed, but felt safely guided all the way. I got good advise on how to cope with the height and thin air, so that we were able to succeed with our 11-day plan. The highlight of our trek was to see the light of the rising sun from the high Kala Pattar. Despite many hotels being closed in the off-season, our guide Nawin lead us to good places to spend the nights. Unfortunately no snowleopard appeared out of thin air, maybe they hid behind the many Yaks we encountered. All in all this trek is undoubtedly an experience, I'll always remember.

Amazing adventure Nepal!
Aug 2019
Cheers to Shailesh and his team (Nawin, Raj and many more) for a truly successful adventure: Kathmandu, EBC trek and a few days calming down in Pokhara.
Though Monsoon / off-season in the Sagamantha-park our group of 7 chose the EBC trek as center point for the three week's holiday - rewarded by impressive landscapes with only few other trekkers. Shailesh organized based on thorough knowledge and experience and included our special wishes. Nawin was the knowledgeable guide for the group, led us to all major target points to see Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, ... (apparently he had good relations to the weather gods), organized on-the-spot around off-season difficulties, was a capable medical supporter for high altitude issues and together with Raj shared a lot of background about Nepal, Sherpa communities and personal experiences. Raj, Kumar & Okil were the faithful carrying companions completing our trekking team. Many recommendations and tour additions for EBC and Pokhara made the holiday a memorable experience (e.g. paragliding over Fewa-lake, see Cholatse-lake, Nepali-food, ...). Thanks again to the complete team - recommended to every Nepal traveler!

Namaste!
Mar 2019 • Solo
Ok, so I have been traveling a lot. In saying that I just came back from one of my top experiences ever. Trekking the mountains of Himalayas while learning and practicing yoga, meditation as well as embracing the spiritual aspects of this world and beyond was both challenging and soothing. Coming from someone that is new to practicing yoga, I would say that this trek is suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners as the Yoga teacher Jessica (who by the way is awesome) adapts the class depending on the students.

The trek was organised by Shailesh Pokharel from Nepal Trekking Routes as well as Jessica Noifeld from Middle Path Movement. I experienced both as very professional who made me feel very welcome and safe. Not to be forgotten is the guide Na Win who took care of us along the way as well as Rajib and Rajib who carried our equipment. All three of them making us feel like home in the mountains! There has been many laugh, tears (there are a few suspension bridges along the path), and joyful moments along the way making this a trek that I highly recommend for all of you adventure seekers out there!

Truly First Class service!
Mar 2019 • Friends
I just recently returned from the Everest Base Camp trek organised by Shailesh Pokharel and Nepal Trekking Routes. A most amazing experience, from the very first contact made with this company till the very end! After making contact with Nepal Trekking Route Shailesh, the CEO, was in constant contact with me - offering advice and information. The welcome we received was outstanding as was the constant attention from him and his staff. Our Guide and porter continued in the provision of excellent service which is clearly ingrained in the ethos of this company - I cannot fault them on any account. Our trip was amazing and was made truly comfortable and rewarding due mostly to the guidance and care shown by our guide, Na Win - a truly remarkable person who was completely comfortable in this harsh terrain. This made us feel comfortable and safe. After the epic journey, Shailesh continued to provide excellent follow-up service until he personally dropped us off at the airport - nothing was too much trouble for him. I can highly recommend Nepal Trekking Routes and I would like to take the opportunity to thank the team for making our trip a memorable experience
