  • Already booked a trekking package to the mountains of Nepal and still wondering about the essential equipment for your trekking journey? We are pleased to offer our checklist for your references. You can make necessary amendments to our checklist as per your need and convenience. In case, you couldn’t get any of the following listed items in your hometown or were in rush before your flight to Kathmandu, don’t panic! The equipment necessary can be easily purchased in the shops in Kathmandu.
  • Again, if you are worrying about the quality of gears available in Kathmandu then majority of them are manufactured locally and some are imported from China and they are of awesome quality. Remember to keep your luggage as light as possible for a convenient travel. A porter is available for two people who will carry up to 25 kg at maximum, therefore, keep this in mind before you pack your bags!

The organization of the trip was on point. The manager, Ganga, was replying very fast to all my emails and provided recommendations for everything I asked for, basically. This was really important to me as this was my first Himalayan trekking.
About the trek itself, I had the honor to have a very experienced guide, Paban, who took care of us and especially me when I was really struggling on my way to EBC. I am also very grateful for our porter, Tamang, who showed a superb resilience and it was an example for us of what nepali people are capable of. Many thanks for the experience, Team. Definitely will recommend your services.

Awesome Trek with Nepal Hiking Team

Went on a private trek with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. The whole trek was planned, customized and organized by Mr. Ganga Thapa for us. He did a beyond excellent job of organizing this trek for us.

We had 4 porter and 3 guides with us. The guides Arun, Gokul and Sagar did an absolute excellent job of taking care of us. Between Arun and Gokul they have done the EBC trek over 200 times. Their experience was clear and they made the entire trek which is hard very enjoyable.

The team went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They provided us with the best lodging, hot water, great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dal Bhat power 24 hour!

They took us through the most difficult parts of the trek guiding us on every step (literally) and always encouraging us to keep moving, teaching us various techniques to conquer the steepest climbs.

They were extraordinarily knowledgeable about the geography, the culture and focussed on making sure we saw and appreciated all the beautiful views and vistas. In addition they always gave us the detailed story or facts behind each point of interest. We absolutely could not have done this trek with out Nepal Hiking Team.

We compared our arrangements and treatments we got with a couple other friends that were trekking at the same time but with other trekking companies and what we were getting was far beyond what our friends were experiencing. Our friends were very envious of what we had.

I can tell you going with Nepal Hiking Team you will not go wrong. They are really the best there is and they will give you more then your money's worth,

Overall this trek was a fantastic experience, they best thing I have done in my life. Encourage anyone who wants to do this trek to do it and to hire Nepal Hiking team as their organizer.

Super treking in Nepal EBC and Kala Pattar
Great experience! Everything was perfect. From picking at airport till good bye after 14 days. Parkach our guide knows many things about culture and mountains. Nima guide assistant was very helpfull too. We could think about nature, all the rest was done by guides and porters. Very PRO :)

Incredible life experience in Nepal

My wife and I trekked to Everest Base Camp with Pavan as our lead guide, and Deepak and Manoj as secondary guides in August 2022. I cannot stress how great the team was; every need was looked after. My wife had an injury on the trek, and we decided to helicopter back to Lukla after making it to base camp. It was no problem for the guys, who organized everything for us, and Pavan stayed back to ensure we were okay while the other guides looked after the rest of our group. We felt safe and secure the whole time.

The trek was beyond magical, a memory I will hold dear for the rest of my days. In a life filled with traveling, nothing else comes close to what we went through as a group. And to make it to base camp after one of the most physically draining experiences in my life offered a sense of success and accomplishment I doubt I will ever know again. Thank you all for making this a trip of a lifetime.

School Trip to Everest Base Camp
I took my school DofE students to Everest Base Camp with these guys. Ganga is immensely helpful and accommodating. The hotel they use in Kathmandu is great. The guides, Naraian, Pavan and Rama were very supportive and attentive.

We worked and reworked contingency plans and they supported the majority who made it to the top and the ones who had to come back.

These guys are pros, with serious experience and skills. This was my 7th mountain trip with students and this was the best support I had.

Excellent Tour and Value

I did the (short) 14 Day Everest Base Camp Trek in early 2023. The Guide (Gokarna), was very professional and did an outstanding job guiding the group. I would definitely recommend booking with Nepal Hiking Team, it was a great value and excellent experience.
