- gordanp200 contributionsThree passes trek and Island peakFirst time in Nepal and immediately unforgettable experience. I contacted the agency Unique adventure via Facebook and the entire communication from the offer to a bunch of questions on my part went very smoothly. On the trek we had a situation due to bad weather, but Mr. Khum and his team put extra effort to resolve the issue. All team summited Island peak and passed allthe passes. In a word, verry professional agency. GordanWritten November 9, 2024
- D6433GXgarethj0 contributionsTotally amazing. Great company.Khum and the team have been brilliant. Khum met us at the airport and had a warm welcome. Sorted everything out for us including a helicopter back from Lukla as there was a possibility of the airport being closed due to cloud. The porters and guide Dawa were fantastic and made sure our bags arrived safely at each location. Dawa was very knowledgeable about the mountains and sorted out meals out every day. The whole experience has been totally amazing and I would thoroughly recommend Unique Adventures if you are thinking of trekking in Nepal. Great company.Written October 24, 2024
- Jason T0 contributionsExceptionalKhum and the team at Unique Adventure International were superb. We received such a warm welcome from Khum on arrival in Kathmandu and as the Director of the company, we appreciated this personal touch, something that Khum maintained throughout our holiday be that via calls to our porters to check on progress or meeting with us several times once we had completed the trek, to assist us with taxis, shopping and unmissable tourist attractions / tours. Khum even came with us to the airport to see farewell personally, absolutely exceptional. A massive thank you also to our porters who safely transported our kit throughout and of course our fantastic guide Dawa, who's knowledge of the Himalayas and commitment to keeping us fed, watered and healthy throughout made all the difference. Thank you all.Written October 24, 2024
- Andrea_Roselle0 contributionsSuper experience - Annapurna circuit with DevOur experience trekking the Annapurna Circuit was unforgettable. The stunning landscapes, combined with the well-organized itinerary, made for an incredible adventure. Special thanks to our guide, Dev, and porter, Tibes, whose expertise and kindness were invaluable throughout the journey. We chose the all-inclusive package, it was very handy for us as Dev had everything sorted out for us and we didn’t have to look for accommodation; it provided peace of mind, but for those who want to save a bit, you can opt for the "pay-as-you-go" option for meals and accommodation. With a bit more planning, it’s a great way to cut costs while still enjoying this incredible trek!Written September 26, 2024
- 292gerardop0 contributionsThey got me to Everest Base Camp despite being 56 years old during the monsoon season. My work schedule permitted me go on the Mt Everest Base Camp Trek only in August during monsoon season. Unique Adventure International accommodated my schedule and even though I was the only traveler who booked for the August 3 slot, they provided me a guide and a porter. Khum (the owner of the company) met me at my hotel before the trek, and greeted me at the airport when I returned. My every need was looked for by my guide Ramesh and my porter Bishnu. The professionalism they displayed is a benchmark for every profession to aspire to. Although I am 56 and was 265 lbs (120 kilos), they got me to Everest Base Camp.Written August 15, 2024
- dizzielizzielou0 contributionsTamang Heritage TrailI recently did the Tamang Heritage trail with Dev as my guide. This was my second trek with Unique Adventures. It was a great experience. Due to time factors I had to cut out the first day so it was 4 days trekking instead of 5 and 2 travelling days. The landscape is truly unique and every part is different. The nature is really beautiful and we even saw some Langur monkeys and some deer. Some sections are a bit challenging as there is a lot of uphill but very manageable. The best part is that there are not so many other people doing it (we came across less than a handful of people) as it is one of the lesser known, less popular trails and it is also off season, so you really feel like an intrepid traveller and it’s so peaceful. The Nepalese people are so friendly and welcoming. It would have been good to have learnt more about the Tamang people and their unique culture and traditions as they still live very much like their ancestors from Tibet. The only negative is that the country needs to stop people throwing their rubbish on the side of the roads and in the rivers. It would be good if the country could start an education campaign and clean up operation. Khum is very accommodating and likes to ensure you have the best experience!Written July 6, 2024

- Carol_Kat_120 contributionsAmazing Mardi Himal experienceThis was my second trip to Nepal, again with Unique Adventures, and I couldn’t be happier. Khum was extremely easy to deal with and very professional and accommodating. Before my trip I had an injury ice skating and potentially had to postpone my journey. Khum worked with me and totally reduced my stress. Once I arrived Khum and my brilliant guide Ramesh were aware of my injury (which still enabled me to trek) and I was so well taken care of, I actually didn’t want to go home! My adventure was so well organised from airport transfers, hotel accommodation, sight-seeing, internal flights, and all things trek related. I couldn’t be happier with the service, and my time spent trekking Mardi Himal with the best guide/companion was truly awesome. I’m counting down the days until I can return to Nepal. If you are considering a trip to Nepal and looking for a company to use, Unique Adventures can help with whatever you require.Written June 22, 2024
- 79sina0 contributionsHiking with two toddlers!Unique Adventures provided an outstanding experience for my wife and two children (2 and 4) in May 2024. We completed the Boom Trial over six days (slow becasue our childrens ages). We have Dev as our guide and three porters. Every thing was taken care of from stepping off of the plane to stepping back on three weeks later. Khum kept in contact and depite us having a number of other stops along our journey was there to help the entire time. With regards to the Hike Dev is an great guide with alot of experience. He ended up carrying our two year old daughter most of the trip. The tea houses chosen were comfortable and we didn't have to wait at all for any service, they were comfortable. Dev provided quality advice and even helped us change our route to make best use of the weather and trial as we went. What a great experience.Written June 8, 2024
- Konrad S0 contributionsAnnapurna Circuit with Tilicho LakeI had the absolute pleasure of doing the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake accompanied by Raju Kandel as my guide, and Prakash Bandit as my porter. I got recommended unique adventure from a friend back home in Denmark, and its safe to say I wasn’t dissapointed. First of all the trek was amazing, beautiful views and scenery in the Himalayas. What made the trip even better was having Raju and Prakash, who made the experience so authentic in the way they taught us about their culture, religion and language whenever we had questions. They were both very open, and always ready for a chat. In the evening we spent our time playing card games, and eating good local food in the teahouses. I have nothing to say but good things about this trip, and huge thank you to the 2 of them. Konrad, DenmarkWritten May 29, 2024
- Z6855TOrogerc0 contributionsMagnificent ManasluWe did the 14 day Manaslu Circuit circuit in late April / early May. We carried our own gear (no porters) but had two excellent guides from Unique Adventures - Kamal and Raj. Our guides organised the travel from Kathmandu (local bus) and then accomodation and all meals whilst on the trek. Manaslu is less busy than Annapurna and Everest which was the appeal. The scenery was amazing - first few days were quite low and dusty / smoky but gave us time to get conditioned for the harder days on the trek. There were so many big mountains that left you with jaw dropping moments each morning as they glistened in the first sun of the day. We had clear guidance from Kamal and Raj as to what to expect each day and were only too happy to help with any requests we had (we took exercise books and pencils that we delivered to two of the remote schools which they helped co-ordinate - a special moment on the trip). They were very knowledgeable and well connected and known on the circuit. The highlight was crossing Larke Pass (5,106m) and meant that we had to leave at 4am as the pass got quite windy and we needed to cross it early. A major accomplishment and goal of the trip and Kamal and Raj were key to getting us all across including one of us who had been unwell. We probably carried too much stuff - packs were 13-16kg and we should have got closer to 10 kg. The last day we took a 4wd to the local town instead of a 6 hr walk down a road which was the recommendation of our guides and well worth it. Would happily do another trek with Unique and Kamal & Raj. We left as friends.Written May 18, 2024

I recently embarked on an unforgettable journey with Unique Adventure Travel, and it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the very beginning, their team demonstrated an impressive level of expertise and creativity in crafting our itinerary. They went beyond the usual tourist spots, offering us a series of off-the-beaten-path experiences that were both thrilling and immersive. We hiked through hidden trails, explored remote villages, and enjoyed unique cultural activities that we wouldn’t have found on our own

We made a hiking tour of the Manaslu region, including ascent to Larke pass starting from Soti Kohla and finishing Dharapani.
The scenery is beyond breathtaking in this specially protected region. As you walk you will experience life in the mountains Nepalese style, including farming, and how each village works as a community. The mountains also brings with it the opportunity to experience the Buddhist culture. And of course for the adventurous, the ascent to Larke pass provides a great sense of achievement.
The Unique team planned our travel from beginning to end. Thinking about nice extra ‘treats’ like sun rise walks, visits to lakes and choosing lovely tea houses for each stay over. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and super attentive. Everything was so well arranged. Big thanks to all the team at unique

It was a pleasure using Unique Adventure International services, as they made my pilgrimage trip very manageable. I was assisted by Ruben who drove me to Daksinkali a very famous Kali Hindu temple in Nepal and also Dholeeswarar temple a famous Shiva temple in Nepal. Without the help of Khum Subedi putting the package together I wouldn't have been able to successfully complete my pilgrimage. I would like to thank Unique Advenure International for all their help.

I just completed the 15 day trek to Annapurna Base Camp with Dev as my guide and had an amazing experience! Unique Adventure had been recommended by my friend who had done the Poonhill trek in Spring with Dev and she had recommended both the company and guide Dev. From the start communication was very good, they were quick to respond to emails answering any queries. I was picked up at the airport by the boss Mr Khum himself, a stalwart in the tourist industry who started out as a guide himself and has had this company for 25 years this year-a very nice man who goes out his way to make sure you have everything you need and ensure you have a great trek, nothing is ever too much hassle. Dev himself also got in touch before the trek to make sure I had everything I needed and helped me get some hiking boots in Kathmandu. You can get all trekking supplies both in Kathmandu and Pokhara and everything is widely available and at good prices. I’m so glad I purchased a good pair of waterproof hiking boots as they were much needed for the trail as it was monsoon season and sometimes you were walking across small rivers. I chose to fly to Pokhara, a quick 25 minute plane ride, for the start of the trek-there was the option of bus but it would have involved a 10 hour + journey over bad, dusty roads and meant I wouldn’t have had any time to see the lovely town of Pokhara. This was an additional fare but worth it for the time you save, though the planes aren’t recommended by the UK government but I took the risk.
The trek was very challenging, as you’re walking for 5-6 hours per day in hot conditions, on uneven terrain, sometimes uphill and sometimes down, but there are plenty of ‘rest’ spots along the way especially at the start which you definitely need and lots of lovely tea houses-the mint tea and hot chocolate I particularly enjoyed. Even though I consider myself pretty fit it was definitely tough but very worthwhile. The views are stunning! The first few days you are sore all over so take plenty of paracetamol and Ibrufen for sore muscles! I had to pick up some extra analgesia in Ghandruk and was able to get it for free at the local health clinic.
There were so many amazing aspects of the trek-which was a total of 11 days and Dev and Ishur the porter looked after me very well. I injured my foot on day 3 and Dev had a safety splint for me which enabled me to continue the trek. Every evening they cut me up some nice fruit for after the meal and Dev had thankfully brought an extra poncho for me and gave me his walking pole to use which was definitely needed as well. They also taught me a fun Nepalese card game Dhumbal which we played every night.
Thankfully there wasn’t that much litter along the path but there was still more than there should be and myself and Dev picked up litter along the way and put it in the bins.
We did meet some people doing the trek on their own without a guide but I’m so glad I had a guide as they give you inside knowledge and information about the culture and also for the safety aspect as well as some of the areas are avalanche risk and they know when it’s safe to walk.
The Nepalese are very lovely people who don’t expect or ask for anything from you which is very refreshing.
The only negative was the use of all the plastic bottles which is so bad for the environment-so next time I would take a water filter with me.

It sounds like you had an incredible trek to Annapurna Base Camp with Dev as your guide! From the excellent communication before the trek to the warm welcome at the airport by Mr. Khum, every aspect of your experience with Unique Adventure was top-notch. Dev's care and support throughout the trek, especially when you injured your foot, truly made a difference. His knowledge of the trail, cultural insights, and safety precautions ensured a smooth and enjoyable journey. It's great to hear that you took the initiative to pick up litter along the path and that you appreciated the Nepalese people's hospitality. Considering the environmental impact of plastic bottles, bringing a water filter on your next trek is a fantastic idea. Overall, it sounds like an unforgettable adventure filled with stunning views, cultural experiences, and valuable lessons learned. Thank you for your review.

I rent a good quality sleeping bag from the company without any fee; the services from company is nice. There is a pick up and departure service to airport, then I was introduced to the boss of company to explain our trekking arrangement. In our 9 days of trekking, our guide Krishna is a helpful, friendly and easy-going local person. He took care us well, and arranged the itinerary according to our will and physique. If you are looking for a reliable guide and company, I believe it is a good choice.
We spend 8 days on this trip; we decide to take local bus instead of jeep, we saw a lot of local culture. During the trekking, there are many good views like bamboo, forests, suspension bridge and snow mountains. The guesthouses are nice and unique. Overall speaking, with healthy body, everyone can enjoy this challenge and enjoy the great scenery.
