          Amazing Khopra Danda trek
We did the 9 day Khopra Danda trek with guide Narayan and Rajan and it was amazing! Very challenging but rewarding hike. We went in January which was the off season which meant that some parts of the trail were hard to find and a couple of the lunch spots were not open but this was not a big problem. Our guide Narayan and Rajan were incredible and supported us and made us feel safe throughout the trip. Would really recommend this trip for hikers looking for a quieter walk away from the busier tourist trips.

          Great experience if planned properly
Great hike, but could be better. It was a 5 day hike so there was one day when I descended a huge distance on very steep stone steps. Very hard on the muscles. I would make it 6 days and descend an easier route. And then add on a trip to base camp - I just went to the viewing platform. Also, a lot of hiking was in the woods, which got a bit boring - I prefer the open.

          Amazing Experience!
I did this tour with Raj who was the best tour guide! He was entertaining and made me feel safe and supported along the way. It was my first time to do a trek but found it manageable with this tour and tour guide.

          Amazing experience at EBC
We participated in Everest Base Camp, one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives! It was an exhilarating and life-changing experience! We saw the most stunning views, surrounded by giant mountains. We have seen a reality of living that everyone should see once in their lives. This trip is a mix of sporting experience, authentic meeting with locals, surpassing oneself, connection with nature and wonder of the landscapes! Our guide was professional and friendly, and was very adaptive in adapting to our condition. We both had symptoms of altitude sickness, and we felt well supported and safe with our guide checking our oxygen levels to make the right decisions along the way. Our guide, Kancha, was one of the favorites of the adventure, he was so attentive and caring, always smiling, we consider him a true friend! We had a planned route, which was changed to accommodate the fact that we were tired! I would give 10/10 for the exemplary service provided to us by the agency, that also call us when we got sick to make sure everything was fine. The owner was very friendly and professional and we would wholeheartedly recommend this company and guide Kancha to anyone who wants to visit EBC. Destination MappeTrotteuse

An experience for a lifetime and that too with the right tour operator!!
I am so glad I did my research before booking this tour operator. Though I had done my research, going through this trek was a lot harder especially because I was short of breath throughout. Narayan was our guide and he ensured that even as the slowest member in the team, I was never left behind. This showed that he was a very well-trained guide. Because of his expertise and his optimism, I can proudly say I got to the base camp. The routes were breathtaking and most often the pictures just did not do justice to what we witnessed. Narayan recognised all the mountains!! It felt good to be in the company of someone who knew their route. I would recommend this tour operator any day!

Phenomenal trek to EBC with guide Narayan
From the moment we landed in Kathmandu and met Narayan who was there to receive us, we knew we were in good hands. We had been in touch with Bishnu of Himalayan Recreation for months before our trek and he was able to guide us well even before we reached Nepal. Narayan was there every step of the way to EBC and back and he became a close confidant as well as a great friend for us. I would give 10/10 for the exemplary service provided to us and would wholeheartedly recommend this company and guide Narayan to anyone who wants to visit EBC.

          Amazing view and amazing guide
The view at Mardi Himal was unforgettable, also I had an amazing and comfortable time doing my first ever serious trek thanks to my guide Sim - without him helping ease me into the mountain life, getting leeches off me, and making sure my time there was pleasurable, I probably would not have enjoyed my time as much as I did!

Great experience as a solo female
Great way to see Chitwan! As a female solo traveler in a foreign country it can be difficult to get to places outside of cities, but this worked out very well. The Royal Tiger hotel was nice and the staff was amazing, even helping me choose the less spicy foods haha. The only reason you may not like this is because of the bad road or if your excursions are with other tourists, but that would just mean Chitwan is not for you. If you want to see the park (and many rhinos!) this is a great option.

          Great guide, tour
The best part about this tour was our guide. He was personable and flexible. He made sure we had a good time. The tour does not include the price for the cable car tickets—about USD$20 for round trip. At the top, there were clouds so we were not able to see as good as other days.

          Thanks for Santosh
I did the Mount Everest base camp tour with this agent and my tour guide was Santosh Everything was planned well And the guide was helpful he gave us a lot of information about the area , and when I got sick because of altitude he managed the situation by contacting my insurance company and organising a helicopter to pick me up , so highly recommended 👍

The Annupurna Poon Hill Trip is a lovely trek through the lower elevations of the Annupurna range of the Himalayas. Starting from Pokhara, a 90 minute drive in a taxi drops us off at the beginning of the trek and then goes up from there. My guide, Raj, was absolutely awesome and provided a lot of great information about the area during our trek over the several days that this trek takes place. The second day of the climb takes us to the small town of Ghorepani, and then an early climb the next morning to Poon Hill.

I went on this trip in the 2nd year of the virus. According to my guide, the number of travelers was still way down from pre-pandemic years. So, in one way, it is a great time to travel since you will have most of the trails to yourself. The tea houses are also pretty empty. The negative side to this is that there are limited menu items and several places didn't have WiFi.

There are a few recommendations I would make about this trip. The first is the ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. I took the bus and regretted it about halfway there. While the distance is only 200 km, it took about 8 hours on the bus. If I were to do this again, I would have opted for a 30 minute flight. It costs more, but is so worth it.

Second, make sure you bring toilet paper with you on the trek. The tea houses I stayed in during my trek didn't have any. So, bringing a roll of your own is a huge help. And speaking of bathrooms, most of the toilets along the route are not the western style sit-down toilets. Rather they are the hole in the grounds. So, make sure to use the bathroom before leaving the tea house since the next western-style toilet isn't until the next guest house, which could be a half day hike away.

Finally, if you have time after the trek, spend an extra day in Pokhara. It is much more interesting than Kathmandu.

Otherwise, the trek was wonderful and the folks at Himalayan Recreation did a great job in staying in touch, picking me up at the airport when I arrived in Nepal, and provided excellent service all the way through.

If you feel the need for a guide for your trekking experience in Nepal, make sure to go with this company. Due to a lack of time, a friend and I decided to go for the shortest circuit in the Annapurna region: the Poon Hill Trek. Our guide Santosh, an ever happy and supportive mountaineer, met with us a day prior to the trek and we got to know each other over a cup of tea. All questions and concerns were cleared out and we started the trek euphorically. The four days will remain in best memory not only due to the astonishing views on Poon Hill but to a large extent to the experienced guiding by Santosh, the comfortable accommodations in Pokhara, Ulleri, Ghorepani and Ghandruk and a flawless organization. Summing up, I can 100% recommend Himalayan Recreation!

Me and my girlfriend was amazed by the nature of Nepal! Even though the city centre is quiet dusty, but trekking amount the Himalayan and woke up with a mountain view everyday is something we will never forget.

We were with a guide called "Ashok", what a fantastic guide he is. He came in to check a day before we actual met, just to see our condition rather if we need a trekking stick and others gears to save us from buying one, the tea house he took us was good, good food there too, each night he managed to bargain us the best room in the tea house, so we can sleep in the ocean of stars and woke up amount the snow mountains with the view right at our window!!!

On the way, other than the nature, he explained and shown us many traditions of the villagers too.

We became good friends after, and it happened to be the Diwali festival, he even took us around for dinner and experienced the festival in his OWN TIME!!!

We had a great time and never thanks enough for the experience!

Nepal is a place to go once in a life time, at least!!

        Thanks a lot!!!

My friend and I just finished this tour with our wonderful tour guide Ashok. This was a great experience for us as we had limited time in the country and specific dates which we wanted to do this tour.
Bishnu and Ashok organised this tour and adjusted this to our needs. On completion of this tour the company also organised a rafting trip to complete our adventures on Nepal.

The tour itself was enthralling to see the stunning views and the countryside ( you can’t capture that beauty through the lense of a camera!), and our tour guide Ashok also guided us to the history of the different areas to give us a better understanding of what we were seeing.
Ashok also encouraged our group to try the local delicacies... we were very unsure initially, but after being coaxed into it - we didn’t look back - food was fabulous!!
Masala tea, fresh cucumber with chilli and salt, mo mo’s and the classic Dal baht - if you head to Nepal make sure you try all of these - from a little local restaurant as well!

Thank you so much Bishnu, Ashok and the team who helped make our trip so easy and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who has limited time but loves outdoors and trekking 😊
