        Great time exploring Kathmandu
We had a great time exploring Kathmandu with this company. They also accommodated a last minute pickup time change for us which was greatly appreciated. The guide was super knowledgeable about not only Kathmandu but the societal and religious aspects of Nepal also. And the driver was brilliant and creative around getting out of some tight spots! Thank you.

A Beautiful City of History and beauty.
This beautiful UNESCO city is worth the day's visit from Kathmandu. The people of this region have taken great pride in the rebuilding of this site since the 2015 earthquake. Rebuilding has been swift and with great attention to detail. There is wonder and enjoyment in every building. A couple buildings are off limits unless you are a Hindu worshipper but 95% of the UNESCO site is open to view and explore. It is not uncommon to see school groups getting a history lesson of the site and the palace. Unfortunately a little too many vendors and coffee shops have sprung up inside the UNESCO city, but that is to be expected in a tourist attraction. Overall, you can still find the hidden vendor who will bargain with you. The Yak wool and Pashmina scarves are a wonderful price and most unusual in their beauty. There are many buildings to see and a good brochure for a personal walking tour of the area. There is an entrance fee for locals and a higher fee (about $15USD) for foreigners.

This tour was excellent in every respect.
Subash was my guide and Ravi the driver. And they both are the reason why I had an absolutely superb experience seeing the 7 UNESCO sites in Nepal. Subash did a great job explaining the history behind each site we visited. As a result, I came away with a far better understanding of the historical significance of the places we visited. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Ravi made sure the drive between the sites was a comfortable one. So much so, I was able to get quick power naps between each site. Please give the highest commendations to Subash and Ravi. They were both exceptionally great, and are the reason why I had an outstanding experience on my tour. They

Kathmandu Private Tour - ALL of the Sites!
I had the priviledge of taking this day long tour with an awesome guide; Shanti Karki. She was excellent and extremely knowledgable. She is a Nepalise Masters History major and was able to provide all the pertinent details. Further the tour had a private car and driver. The car was imaculate and the driver was very friendly, courteous and safe. The tour encompassed all of the major sites in and around Kathmandu. I would highly reccomend this tour (and guide!). Thanks so much Shanti for a wonderful day, I really enjoyed it!

If you're looking for a tour guide who will make your Kathmandu experience unforgettable, then look no further than here
Shanka isn't just a tour guide, he's a conduit to the heart of Nepal's culture and history. Our 4-day UNESCO World Heritage Sites tour was an incredible journey thanks to his expertise and infectious enthusiasm. Here's what made Shanka a standout: • Knowledge and Storytelling: Shanka's knowledge of Nepal's history, religion, and architecture is deep, but he conveys it in a way that's engaging and memorable. He brings the stories of these ancient sites to life, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. • Immersive Experience: Shanka goes beyond the typical tour script. He takes you to hidden corners, introduces you to local vendors, and helps you understand the cultural significance behind everything you see. • Passionate and Friendly: Shanka's passion for Nepal is contagious. His warm personality and genuine smile make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout the tour. He's happy to answer any questions and cater the experience to your interests.

        Highly recommend!
I took a sunrise tour to Nagarkot combined with a hike to Changu Narayan with guide Subas. The views were amazing, and the hike through the villages was very interesting. Highly recommend this tour and Subas as a guide.

        Beautiful 3-passes Everest Camp Trek
My husband and I hiked with Breakfree Adventures for our 16-day Everest Base Camp - 3 passes trek and I am so glad we did. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trek and the scenery was out of this world. I look back at the pictures and still can't believe that we were able to see and experience those moments in the mountains. Throughout the hike, you see 4 peaks over 8,000 meters tall and it is a truly humbling experience. We were happy to be in the hands of Breakfree Adventures. From the very start, they helped organize that trip at a competitive rate and it was a private tour with only my husband and I, with one porter and one guide. On the mountain, you see many large groups and we were so happy to have such a personal experience and go at our own pace instead of the slowest pace of those in a group. Our guide was experienced and our porter so friendly and helpful. Logistics were handled seamlessly by all involved in our trip and if we hiked again in Nepal I know we would go with Breakfree.

Great way to see the city
I had a day before the Everest Base Camp trek and wanted to see the city. I booked the 7 site option and it did not disappoint. The guide is local to Kathmandu and so knowledgeable. It was the perfect excursion to fight the let lag while also making the most of my time here.

Must see places, with full support and convenience
Well organized, punctual, a very acceptable vehicle, a polite driver and a knowledgeable guide: if you add to this the ancient beauty and the constant surprises of Kathmandu, for sure you will enjoy as we did. For Westerners there's a sort of "cultural shock", but the calm and expertise of your tour guide, explaining with passion, calm you down. We did the 4 sights tour, was with a child, it was a very complete day.

Sunrise, hike and heritage sites. 10/10.
My friend and I went on the nargakot sunrise and hike tour to changu Narayan and the 5 unesco heritage site tour. Subash arrived early at 4 am and the car ride was very comfortable. Due to the weather we unfortunately didn’t see the sunrise but our guide has contacted us the day before and informed that it is weather dependent so we were well prepared. Albeit that, the views and they valley were very beautiful. The hike itself was moderately difficult, some steep hills but not too bad. We were also able to see the daily lives of the Nepalese, their houses and were told of the tragedies these people suffered from the earthquakes but also the grit they hold despite everything that happened. The next day we went to the heritage sites and subash was very knowledgeable about everything and helpful in any questions we had (we asked a lot of questions!). For a small break, we had lunch with a rooftop view of the stupa. Subash ensured that it was our tour thus was very patient with our time and allowed enough time for site seeing and shopping. For both tours, everything went very smoothly . We had a great time and had very interesting conversations with subash and we learnt so so much. I highly recommend this company , great communication , good price. Thank you subash!!!!

In October 2018 my good friend, Eike Hansen and I undertook a 12-day trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It was a great experience; not just for the amazing mountain scenery, but also for the glimpses of rural mountain life, the kindness of the people in the villages, and the sharing of mealtimes in the tea-houses with people from every part of the world. The trek would not have been possible without the support of our Nepalese trekking company, Breakfree Adventures and their excellent staff, Ramesh (guide) and Deepak (porter).
