Swayambhu -Monkey Temple - Kathmandu Dubar Square- Pashupati Nath Temple - Buddha Nath Stupa - A sizzling tour of Kathmandu… on foot, a mountain bike or by car…just do it, you will love it… You can start after a healthy breakfast & drive right down to Swayambhunath [monkey temple – the monkeys here are real & can be a pain in the neck] & its best to crash down in the early parts of the day as its cooler. Swayambhu is one of Katmandu’s oldest Buddhist temples & the views from here are simply fantastic. The monkeys are an added attraction & tourists try to get them to sit on their shoulders. However, these monkeys are venerated down here, so it’s best to be friendly and not taunt them. This temple literally gives you 360 degree views over the city of Kathmandu, & it’s worth watching the spectacle at dusk. To get to the temple, however, you must first walk up 365 steps to get to the top. Entrance fee: is 200 rupees. When we are done here, we then head down to one of hinduism’s most sacred temples, the pashupatinath temple.Entrance Fee is 1000 rupees You won’t be allowed to enter if you’re a foreigner, but certain areas give you access where you can visit the burning pyres used by Nepal’s early royal family & the common Nepali man. On festival occasions like shivaratri, it’s an absolute treat to see hordes of visitors, especially women decked in red out to appease this god & his consort parbati. This is also one of Nepal’s best known temples throughout Asia for hindus… Our next haul up point is the historical durbar square, known for its vibrant heritage sites. This place has a special significance to being home to the Nepalese Royal Family. It is here the early kings of Nepal were ordained and took their place on the throne of Nepal. Now, visitors are amazed with complex architecture, dating back to the 17th century, and Nepalese history at durbar square literally repeats itself with ancient practices used till this very day. This is also where the living goddess Kumari has her home. You might get a chance to see her upfront, but this is only a chance - the Entrance fee: is 750 rupees. We finally wrap up our one day scintillating Kathmandu tour with a visit to Katmandu’s best known stopper of Boudanath. This popular temple is a virtual landmark of Kathmandu & found in all the guidebooks throughout kathmandu. The Boudhanath Stupa is a keyBuddhist site that attracts Buddhists from all over the country & the world. As you stroll around the giant white mound, the all seeing eyes of Buddha watch over, as if to say see no evil, speak no evil & do no evil; while the prayer flags flutter overhead. You can even stand in a queue & hike around the whole stupa three or more times with the other Buddhists & hear them reciting their mantras. The smell of incense perforates the air & it’s thickly felt. It’s a unique experience in one of the oldest Buddhist temples in the world. To get in here, you pay an Entrance fee of 150 rupees. Hiking for a whole day on a Kathmandu tour is one of the most gripping experiences you will ever have in a lifetime

I have known Rishi for almost 20 years and have always been highly satisfied with the services he has provided me in trekking and expeditions to smaller peaks. Always friendly and caring, always helpfull, always knowledgeable. This time, I did a trek in Dhaulagiri area, which is quite a challenge. But Rishi managed it perfectly and we had a great time! It was a beautiful mountain panoramic trip
I like the punctuality of EncountersNepal company organised by Mr. Rishi. We took off flight in right time and after a small trip set up for a breakfast at Everest View Hotel. It was wonderful trip with lot of photos shots. My overall rating definitely is excellent. And it was unforgettable to see the top of Mt. Everest. My first experience to be so high in mountains, I will never forget it. Thank you.

Adventure of the lifetime: Gokyo - Cho La - EBC
We travelled to Nepal this April for a spectacular Goyko Ri - Cho La - Everest Base Camp trek. All the arrangements were done by email weeks before our arrival. The communication with Rishi (agency owner) was very smooth, his answers were always prompt and professional. Pricing was clear and appropriate. After quick briefing in the hotel where we met our guide we left for Lukla. Our entire trekking experience was simply perfect. That was possible due to our excellent guide - Thakur Dahal. Thakur knew every step of the trek by heart and was always willing to discuss different options so the trekking was truly customized according to our wishes. Thakur was very caring, so that we did not need to worry about accommodation or food at any stage of our travel. All of that was sorted out for us so we could solely focus on the atmosphere, scenery and tranquillity of Himalaya. What needs to be pointed out is Thakur`s vast knowledge regarding local culture, religion and history. He was able to answer (in perfect English !) to all our questions - in fact I think we spent several hours talking about different aspects of life in Nepal (which by itself was very enjoyable). During the trek we were able to observe other guides and I have to say that we were very lucky to travel with Takhur - his experience, profesionalism and communication skills were really top notch. To summarize, I can wholeheartedly recommend Encounters Nepal Agency if you are looking for trekking in Himalaya. Thanks to these guys we took part in the adventure of our lifetime!

To understand what is good, be friend with Encounters staff.
It would be hard to imagine work without the assistance of Rishi. Encounters manager who contributed his free time to provide me with a rich information for my project to run smoothly. Encounters staff worked at a high level, and it was exactly what I needed in my professional work as a journalist press-photographer. I use Encounters services since 2010/11, and so far I have to say I am not disappointed by their help. See you in 2018/19 Persijs

      Trekking in nepal
Rishi (at encounters Nepal) organised a 6 day trek for us to Poon Hill. All via Facebook from our lounge room in OZ. Rishi was very responsive to any questions we had. All aspects of our trip were excellent. Our guide Thakur was amazing as well. Friendly, knowledgeable and funny in excellent English. All in all a fantastic experience that completely lived up to my expectations. The trek was challenging without being difficult. We were able to walk at our own pace given our injuries. The food and accommodation were great. Thank you to Rishi and Thakur for making my lifelong dream of trekking in Nepal come true.

      Great trekking
My friends and I did the Annapurna Panorama trek! We had a wonderful trip where we visited new places every day. The trek took six days, and the guide was very nice and helpful. The nature is amazing and the price is acceptable. If you only have 1 week for trekking I would recommend this trip!

      Beautiful Annapurna Panorama Trek
Rishi at Encounters Nepal arranged for a beautiful trek in the Annapurna region for my friends and I. He was very welcoming and helpful in the planning process and we got a kind and knowledgeable guide (Shyam Nepal) to guide us on our trek. Such a great experience! The scenic views along the trail were really nice, the lodges were comfortable, the food was good and everything had been organized in the best way possible. We also got to see the sunrise from Poonhill which was amazing.

      Everest Flight
I recently visited Kathmandu and wanted to do the Mount Everest flight as part of my trip. I emailed Rishi at Encounters Nepal to arrange this before travelling to Nepal. I heard about Rishi from the positive reviews on this site and the reviews are very accurate. Rishi was superb - quick to communicate back to any questions I had, and purchased the ticket for me very efficiently. He arranged to meet me at my hotel on arrival which he did, and he provided all the required documentation and an explanation of what to expect, and some tips for getting the most out of the flight. The trip itself is great for anyone that wants to get a good view of the Himalayas and Everest. The flight itself is about 1 hour and everyone is guaranteed a window seat. I would recommend Rishi to arrange this trip for anyone considering it.

      Mount Everest flight amazing!!
The most amazing trip a ever had going to Nepal and take the tour of the Mount Everest .I contacted several members from TripAdvisor to make sure this company Encaunters Nepal is safe to book our flight and more than that to send a copy of our passports to this person Rishi who everybody was taking about in all the reviews. Let me tell you, do not be skeptical with this company and Rishi is one of the best person you can ask for. He booked our flight after we sent copies of passports and money by wester union I believe , and on the website is a phone no to call if you have questionsor email to him . Everything went very smooth and the company that he booked us was Yetri Airline. If the whether is not good to see the mountains don't worry they will try again the next day or return your money. Rishi is very serious. Now the yetri airline service is excellent. The flight is very smooth they serve Champagne and let you go in the pilot cabin to take pictures of the mounten and they will take pictures for you. Rishi came to the hotel to meet us the day before the flight and greeting us and olso after to make sure everything was great. I will post some pictures also but I highly recommend this company for everyone and ask for Rishi to take care of everything. You will not regret.
