It was a nice trip to Nagarkot. The trip is well organized. They contact me by email and WhatsApp me to arrange pick-up. Our guide Subash is a very nice guy. He came early to pick-up in the hotel. The trip will pass the local village and you will able to see local people living, farming and temple. You will see a great mountain view along the trip.

Myself and my partner went to Nepal not knowing what to expect. What we experienced was brilliant memories that will always be with us. We came from Abu dhabi and got into the airport, luckily they're was only one flight entering visa control, and got out 15 day visa, which we had to pay for in usd. We were met straight away by our trekking guide , Sauran, and the driver. Our guide was excellent throughout the trip, always making sure we got enough food, taking pictures and telling us about Nepal and his own experiences. We met the company owner, kabi, at the hotel and he was also very helpful and efficient. The hotel was ok, basic but the staff are friendly. The area was right in the heart of the tourist region with all the shops selling "cheap" north face gear, obviously not real but very cheap and they like haggling. We picked up nice ornaments and masks that are perfect souvenirs. The second day we saw all the sights and temples in Kathmandu. Most of the places were definitely worth seeing and the admission is quite cheap. The traffic is crazy which drags out the day a bit but it was enjoyable. We then left to go trekking and got a young porter to bring our bag, we left the other one with the hotel staff. It costs $75 for the 3 days. The first day trekking we got breakfast and left about 8ish. We got there about 9:30 and off we set. Just myself and my girlfriend did the trek which was nice , plus you didn't have to wait for anyone else! We trekked for about 4 hours and reached 2,500m, the views and weather were gorgeous and the village we stayed in at the top was actually quite nice. We were blessed with the weather, actually got burnt, which added to the views and enjoyment. The hotel was very basic and we got extra blankets as it got quite cold at night. The sunrise at 6:10am was beautiful and well worth getting up for! Then we are breakfast and settled out on our 7-8 hour trek through the jungle / mountain trail. It was a long but enjoyable day. We stopped half way for nearly 2 hours for food, which was just ok at best but we expected that ! We reached nagarkot and the hotel was fine, food was good, especially the steak for dinner! The views the next morning were a bit misty but nonetheless gorgeous and well worth seeing. After breakfast we headed on our last 4 hour trek and returned to Kathmandu in the afternoon. We got a nice massage, Sauran showed us where to go, and stayed in a much nicer hotel for our last night! We didn't have to check out until 3, which was brilliant ! We got our last few souvenirs and headed to the airport with excellent memories of Kathmandu and Nepal. We are already thinking of returning next year and using this company again. It was a well organized and hassle free holiday, everything was done in a professional and punctual manner. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks to Kabi and Sauran, along with the rest of the people who made our holiday so memorable. 👍

We went for a three day trek, overnighting in Chisopani and Nagarkot. Organiser came to visit us at the hotel the day of our arrival (the day before the start of the trek) to make sure we understood everything.

Our tour guide and porter (yes, we hired a porter and are glad we did) were excellent - friendly, helpful without being invasive, and competent in English. Trek was interesting. Accommodations were adequate (first night not so good, but better than a tent a definitely part of the overal experience).

We would go to Nepal again and would contact Trekking Guide Team again for a value for money experience.

I've given it a few days to leave the dust settle. I thought about it, and contemplated the various aspects of the trip. I'll break it down into different parts.

The company:
The company is run by a man called Kabi. It was founded in 2012. This is my second time with this group. I have traveled to Nepal twice. Both times using this company "Trekking team adventure". They have a reputation of using groupon costumers. Kabi is good at responding to emails and greets you on arrival.

Be careful, he charges you $40 to stay in company affiliated hotels per night. Usually on booking.com these hotels are less than 23-25 dollars per night. (Hotel holy Himalaya, or hotel thamel) To be honest most things with this company follow a similar trend.

Nagarkot trek:

The first trekking trip I went on was a groupon. It was 5 days trekking in Nagarkot. Just be very careful. The views of Everest (as advertised)form Nagarkot are weather permitting and very very distant. Over 100 km away. See YouTube of what you can see. Also most of the trekking is along roads and on steps on this trek. If you're looking for nature and unspoilt landscapes this won't offer much.

Everest base camp:
16 days.

Fantastic trek. Over a numbers of days and acclimatisation stops you negotiate your way through alpine landscapes, up to flat upland, to glacial mountainside. Tea houses were very good quality, most notably in Dingboche and Lobuche. I would highly recommend the trip.

Guides:

The guides on both my trips were good. Friendly, interested and willing to help. Knew some parts of the trek well.

Problems:

Reading your itinerary will help. From the moment we got on our flight to lukla, changes were being made to it. I reckon this is a trend with the company. Firstly, we were told that the Chhukung Ri hike was a misprint. So that would not be on our schedule. Same as Kalapatther. (Weather was fine) I ended up doing two hikes on my own on these days. Guides, stayed in the tea house. Guides also didn't know were the memorials were for the 1996 Everest disaster were. They wanted to stop close to base camp and not go on to the glacier to the actual basecamp. Which was annoying after hiking for 16 days to get to the actual bc. I would question their level of fitness Also.

Usually the company will blame the guide and guide will blame the company. Don't get drawn in.

If your familiar with hill walking and hiking push for your itinerary. Start early and avoid delays on route.

Would I go with this company again. NO.

Iwent on this hike today and it was brilliant. My guide Purus was great. The trip was well organised and despite the very muddy paths we got to our destination in one piece.

It was my first ever trek and I was looking forward to it as a 53 years old man. I went with my 26 years old daughter. She organized the trip with Kabi from Melbourne, Australia.

From the moment we landed in Kathmandu, Kabi and his team made sure of all the arrangements. Kabi is highly professional and makes sure that his customers are well informed and looked after.

Our tour guide Krishna is highly experienced and was well supported by porters Jeet and Padam. It was amazing to see the amount of communication and promptness both on part of Krishna and Kabi. My daughter fell sick after completing the base camp journey and informed Krishna of her condition at Gorak Shep. Krishna promptly arranged with Kabi in Kathmandu to send a Helicopter to transport her back to Kathmandu. She was back to Kathmandu in less than 2 hours and an ambulance was waiting for her at the airport to take her to the hospital. She recovered after 2 days in the hospital and we are back in Melbourne.

This was the best example of duty of care displayed by Kabi and his team. Kabi has made sure that I visit Nepal again, this time with my wife for a sightseeing tour through his professionalism, empathy and compassion.

Our tour guide Subhash for the hike to Nagarkot and other sightseeing places was very knowledgeable and a patient man explaining everything in great detail.

All in all, customer first policy of Kabi was instrumental in our having a very safe and fulfilling trip.

A small group of 3 of us booked an all in one package for 5 nights/6 days tour which included 3 days trekking to Chisapani and Nagarkot, an over night stay in each and 3 nights in Kathmandu. From start to finish we found every step of the trip so smoothly ran. Pick up from airport and direct transfer to hotel and met Kabi the coordinator of the trip, and Ram who was to be out guide for the trek. They were very thorough in the information and plans for the coming days. The hotel which was included as part of the package was decent, clean and staff very friendly and accommodating.

The trek itself was amazing, we really loved it, Ram was very knowledgeable about the regions we were hiking through and always quick to point out things of interest that we may have not noticed ourselves. we found the trek easy - medium, defatinely a bit tougher than we originally thought it would be but very manageable and enjoyable.

Once back to Kathmandu, we had an organized day of sightseeing some temples and the outdoor creamatorium, which was pretty fascinating. and that evening a culture night, where we go to taste traditional Nepalese food and watch a performance of dance music and singing. it was fantastic.

It has definatley been one of my most favourite trips ever. Highly recommend booking with Trekking Guide Team Adventure.

I booked a 12 day trek to Everest Base Camp through groupon and had a great time. Kabi made sure that everything was organised and answered any questions I had prior to coming to Kathmandu, he provided us with list and advised on other activities if we had more time in Kathmandu after the trek. He also outlined what would happen if the weather conditions were poor for the day we flew to Lukla.
Our guide Krishna, was excellent. He was very helpful and answered all our questions, my group was small (only 7) and we all got along great.
The accommodation was so much better than I expected and the food was lovely.

I found the trek hard, with the altitude and hiking (I have never hiked a day in my life) but my guide was patient and no-one was left behind.

It was an experience of a lifetime and I would strongly recommend anyone who is looking to trek to base camp to book with Kabi and his amazing guides. It is an experience you will not forget and one that you want to go smoothly.

At the end of March 2017 we left the craziness of Kathmandu behind and set off on the trip of a life time. 20 days trekking to Kala Pattar, Everest Base Camp, across the Cho La Pass to Gokyo and back to Lukla. We are 2 Mums in our late 40’s who left our husbands and teenage kids at home in Australia.
We didn’t travel as part of a group, choosing instead to be more independent and planned our own itinerary. Kabi the agency owner was very accommodating with all of our requests and quick to respond to the many emails I sent to him during the organising process.
Our trip was amazing, and what made it so special was that Kabi provided us with a fantastic guide named Prakash Magar and our assistant guide-porter named Padam. The service these two young men provided us was outstanding and to make things even better they were fun to spend time with, made us feel very special and we had a lot of laughs. They were so patient, caring and protective of us.
They always made sure we were looked after at every teahouse stop, bringing us tea, ordering and serving our food, providing extra blankets and hot water in our nalgene bottles to take to bed. At the end of each day they would sit with us and draw on our map where we had trekked that day and then tell us what to expect the next day. Sometimes we would play cards. They were so friendly and it was a pleasure to spend time with them.
We live at sea level and had never trekked at altitude before so were very concerned about altitude sickness. Prakash was very attentive to how we were feeling health wise every step of the way. We planned a slightly slower trek than others. This allowed us time to acclimatise and also to really explore the small villages we stopped at along the way. Prakash and Padam were so patient with me stopping often to take photographs and very knowledgeable about each village and mountain. Every afternoon after we had arrived at our overnight stop Prakash would take us on a little walk to slightly higher altitude allowing us to hike high and sleep low to acclimatise better. While most trekkers do these walks not all guides accompany them, rather just point them in the right direction and stay playing cards with their mates. These afternoon walks always had rewarding views and were lots of fun with Prakash giving us so much information and history about the village and mountains surrounding us. His knowledge of the region was incredible. A few times I double checked facts and figures about the various mountains and history of the area and he was always correct with the information he gave us. He was also a great photographer, often taking photos of us with my camera.
Walking up Kala Pattar, Gokyo Ri and over the Cho La Pass was hard work. With Prakash’s guidance we chose the right time of the day for us to do each of these challenging sections and this helped make them a little easier and more enjoyable. We were very happy to have his advice regarding decisions like these. The day we walked over the Cho La Pass was 7.5 hours of long hard slog. We couldn’t have done it without Prakash and Padam’s help. They literally pulled us up some parts of the rock scramble, held our hands across the icy glacier at the top and then stood in front of us as we slid and slipped down the other side. They were so protective of us.
We met a couple of other groups trekking with Trekking Guide Team Adventure and they were all happy with the staff they had accompanying them. Kabi has done a great job of collecting a fantastic group of very professional guides and porters. He obviously realises that these guys are what makes his company a success. I asked for a guide who was experienced, knowledgeable, professional and fun to be with and that is exactly what we got. While we found the trek challenging at times we can’t wait to return to Nepal and I will definitely be asking Kabi to organise for Prakash and Padam to accompany us again.

My husband and I used this company to trek Everest Base Camp that also included airport pick up and drop off, a tour of the city and a cultural dinner and show after our trek. We have had the most positive experience with this company and do not hesitate recommending this company to any future base camp enthusiasts.

As a first time trekker I was apprehensive of Everest base camp. I emailed Kabi over 30 times before arriving in Nepal with numerous questions about the trek and expectations. Kabi never failed to respond within 24 hours to my emails and also provided me with detailed responses and assurances to all my incessant questions.
It was unfortunate that I required a helicopter evacuation after succumbing to altitude sickness at 5100metres but Kabi handled it so professionally. He contacted my insurance company and made all the arrangements for me to get out of the mountains within 24 hours. Kabi was at the hospital when I arrived and liaised with the hospital staff to ensure I was comfortable and stayed for hours until I checked into my room for the night, called me to make sure I was okay and returned the next day to check on my progress before driving us back to the hotel. I felt very well looked after and cared for.
Kabi is a very warm and affectionate man and no request was too difficult for him to cater for. I would highly recommend the services of Kabi and his team because they demonstrated the upmost professionalism coupled with genuine care for us for the duration of our visit to Nepal.

Our trekking guide, Santosh, spoke great English and was very knowledgeable about the Everest area. As well as giving us information he also shared stories with us, spent the evenings teaching us Nepali card games and Bagh Chal (it’s like Nepali checkers- you have to buy it when in Nepal!). He always made sure we were confortable and made us laugh after a tough day of hiking. Santosh had such an easygoing personality and we soon saw him as a good friend rather than just a guide.
I was most impressed with Santosh when I got sick in the mountains. He showed genuine concern and would go out of his way to make sure I was drinking warm water and staying hydrated. Furthermore, we travelled with another couple who were inconsiderate travellers as well as very weak hikers. Santosh would recognise our frustrations and organise for us to leave earlier with the sherpas and/or liaise with the Sherpa’s to return to get us so we could walk faster and reach our destination. It was very considerate of him to consider the level of fitness for the entire group and ensure that he catered for everyone’s needs! His foresight and his interest to ensure that our needs were met were a testament to his proficiency and strength as a trekking guide. I would definitely recommend him for future travellers.

I would recommend any traveler going to Nepal to check this company out. If you have any questions regarding preparing for Everest base camp please don’t hesitate to contact me!
