About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- russelld8380 contributionsThe famed Everest Base camp trek.Hard to describe just how spectacular, scenic and overwhelmingly beautiful this trek is. I found it challenging after Dingboche, however thanks to the brilliant and professional guidance of Dhana, Raj and Mr Bir and their incredible assistance and customer service, they got me through to EBC. Exceptional service with a Nepalese smile. They went above and beyond and their was no request too hard. I thank them for their patience. Staying with me while catching breathe all along the way in the high altitudes. Thank you Outfitter guides. I'll never forget you.Written October 11, 2024
- paro_michigan0 contributionsAn experience beyond expectationsWe have done treks and hikes in India, Nepal and Europe but our experience on the Annapurna Base Camp trek was truly one which went far beyond expectations and a lot of it was to do with Outfitters Nepal. Whilst I sent our email enquiries from India way back in April 2024, Raj from Outfitters responded promptly and was very helpful and friendly in all our long distance interactions through the months leading up to the trek which made us comfortable from the start. We arrived in Nepal amidst rainfall and landslides and after two unsuccessful attempts to leave Kathmandu for Pokhara we got lucky the third time and Outfitters did everything possible to get us on a flight out of Kathmandu. And whilst there was chaos at the bus stations and airports, the calm yet prompt manner in which Jitu, our guide handled everything we knew we were in the right hands. We started our trek just about four hours late due to the above, and despite being slow walkers we caught up with our original schedule by end of the day. The itinerary was very well thought through and minor changes made in consultation with us along the way and absolutely to our pace and comfort. The tea houses were very clean, food very good despite the remoteness through the trek, it was commendable to see the clean trails throughout which was kudos to the locals and the trekkers, and the hour spent in the hot springs on the second last evening was perfect ….. this was the first trek where we finished with no signs of aches and pains, end of which we could be ready for a second immediate trek again with the same gusto. Jitu, our guide and Bhim, our porter were super support systems. Words fail to express how wonderful they were through the trek. On our return to Kathmandu, NG hosted a perfect dinner to end the perfect trek. I d highly recommend Outfitters Nepal to be the one stop partner for your trek or any trip to Nepal. We definitely were sad to say our good byes to Jitu, Bhim, Raj and NG. They are indeed a commendable team and I d say look no further if you come to Nepal.Written October 10, 2024
- K8032YCjonf0 contributionsThe BEST tour company and the only place to trek the Himalayas with!Outstanding from start to finish! 10/10!! Look no further, this company is the ONLY place you should go to when looking for an Himalayan experience with the experts! From re arranging travel due to monsoon, to accomodating all my requests throughout the booking process, to making everything seamless, payments, meeting guide, flying in and out of Lukla, transfers, city tour, we were even delayed for 2 days at the beginning due to weather, and they looked after us with constant communication with updates on the situation! I chose this company because of their reviews and they did not disappoint! Huge thank you to Raj, Kiran my guide, NG ( the owner) and the rest of the Outfitter Nepal team because this truly was the BEST tour I’ve ever been on with the BEST company and hospitality throughout! They really do exactly what they say they’ll do! Thank you again 😀Written October 9, 2024
- Quikkrups0 contributionsGlimpse of Nepal TourOur 2 day trip around Kathmandu was just awesome. We saw so many amazing sites, and so much was crammed into 2 days. We visited Patan, Bhaktapur, slept overnight in Nagarkot, Pashuaptinath, Bouddhnath, Swayambunath, and Kathmandu Durban Square. We also completed the flightseeing over Mt. Everest which was just incredible. That was the highlight of the whole trip. Our guide Rajan was incredibly helpful with all kinds of information about the sites and about Nepal in general. I would highly recommend Nepal Outfitters for a stay in Kathmandu.Written October 1, 2024
- emmamX4474QA0 contributionsOutfitter Nepal Annapurna CircuitWe wanted to say a huge thank you to Outfitter for once again guiding us safely on another adventure in gorgeous Nepal. We had the pleasure of trekking the Annapurna Circuit from Dharapani to Muktinath. We have had such an incredible time with our guide Indra Thapa & Porter Rajan. We appreciate their care, kindness, patience & guidance. Their experience in the mountains was clear in every decision they made to ensure we were successful in our goal to reach Thorong La Pass. They kept an eye on our oxygen saturation as we gained altitude, made sure we were well fed & supported us through any obstacles we faced. The communication from Raj & Indra leading up to the trip was incredible! Every question we had was answered quickly & thoroughly. They kept the trip flexible & stress free for us so we were able to tweak the itinerary to suit our preferences. Special shout out to our Guide Indra who went above & beyond! He met us at the airport at 1:30am after flight delays & when he found out it was our wedding anniversary he planned a celebration for us & had a cake made at short notice. We were lucky to have Indra 9 years ago when we came to Nepal to hike Everest Base Camp trek. Back then we had purchased the trip on a scoopon & we are so grateful that we found this awesome company. We will return to Nepal many times & will use Outfitter Nepal exclusively after these fantastic experiences. The Co-founded of the company Raj took us out for dinner to celebrate our hike success & presented us with a congratulatory plaque too. Their attention to detail & care is unmatched & we are so grateful. Thank you Outfitter! Emma & Nathan Sydney, AustraliaWritten September 22, 2024
- Kitten630 contributionsNepal bucket listRaj ( our email contact)is very responsive and reliable. We were well looked after on a very challenging trip. Sanjay our guide, the two porters and Raj our driver were great. I recommend the trek, Pokhara and Kathmandu. Seeing the elephants chained up in Chitwan was disturbing for me, so consider avoiding this part of the trip. It was great to be with a local company who were attentive to our needs and planned the trip accordingly. Highly recommend as a company to book your trip withWritten September 19, 2024
- 47janickeh0 contributionsHighly recommendedJust back home from a terrific tour with outfitter Nepal. Everything was very well organized, the staff was friendly and gave the best service. The trekking was absolutely stunning and we stayed in some very nice guesthouses. We had the best guide, Sanjay Adhikari, and a very good driver. The nature, the landscape, the people, and the food - everything was absolutely superb. Outfitters can be highly recommended - they are friendly, professional, well-organized, and local.Written September 18, 2024

From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed our guide and porters went above and beyond to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable trip. There were weather delays that required finding alternate means of transport, some members of our group did not feel well, but our guide handled every situation with calm patience and genuine compassion. Our porters and guide were fun and engaging and we learned much about culture and natural historyfrom them. I highly recommend Outfitter Nepal!Written September 14, 2024
- S658TCannev0 contributionsPhenomenal experience!I had a great time on my Manaslu trek with outfitter Nepal. From the very start it was easy to communicate with them and I had a good briefing before the actual trek. During the trek I had great guidance by Sunil Tiwari. He is an experienced guide and I felt very safe. The Manaslu trek itself was wonderful, beautiful views, a phenomenal experience. I can't recommend Outfitter Nepal enough!Written September 12, 2024
- 276tans0 contributionsLangtang trekThis was the second time we engaged Outfitter Nepal Treks & Expedition for Langtang trek. The coordinator Raj as usual replied our queries promptly & patiently. Boss NG briefed us the trek itinerary prior to trek whom he gave good advise. Great tour operator with great people. The guide Hom was great, knowledgeable and professional. He showed us the wildlife i.e herd of wild mountain goats, clusters of about 30 bee hives, plucked wild berries for us to eat. His contact number +977 9841913336.Written June 18, 2024

- kcogden0 contributionsOutstanding Everest Base Camp trek experienceMy son and I just recently completed the 12-day Everest Base Camp Trek commencing in Kathmandu. There were some difficulties with the flight so NG put us on a helicopter instead for the trip to Lukla for a minor additional cost which was well worth it as my son absolutely enjoyed that ride. Our guide was Sanjaya and our Porter was Bala. I have nothing but the best to say about both of them Sanjay was an amazing guide he took care of us from start to finish, looked after us and organized everything at the tea houses for accommodation and meals and route. Bala was an amazing young man who somehow managed to carry his duffle and ours and always arrive well in advance for ourselves at the destination for the day. In terms of overall coordination with the company Raj and NG were extremely prompt in replying to any questions that we had and I found them top notch in terms of providing assistance information guidance etc. Much to our surprise we received a beautiful completion plaque at the end when we had our final get together dinner, which was simply icing on the cake. Again I have nothing but the very best to say and great recommendations for working with this company, they organized everything from start to finish smoothly seamlessly and with no hitches.Written May 29, 2024

If you want to hit the four or five major Kathmandu heritage sights in one day, this is your tour! Exactly what we wanted and without the hassle of navigating public transportation. Birodh has extensive historical and religious knowledge that would satisfy even the most curious Hindu scholar! We got a great overview of the sights visited, but Birodh did an excellent job explaining some of the historical and religious connections among such a diverse and ancient civilization. Of course, the locations visited are of themselves a sensory overload of color, sounds, smells, and taste. Birodh took us to really cool places where there didn’t seem to be other tourists and that was an added benefit to the tour because it felt like we had a more unique experience, especially with the lunch. All in all, a great experience.

Our guide Birodh was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and also very caring. He was intuitive enough to keep us (the group) safe throughout the tour.
On the other hand, the tour itself ticked every box on my list. Nepal is beautiful. The temples and the peacefulness within the temples were much needed for me. So glad Birodh took me to the Pashupatinath temple and helped do a bit of prayer. That was the main highlight of the tour, for me. 100% recommended

I had great day touring these incredible sites in Kathmandu and I think I had one of the best guides in Kathmandu to show me, his name is Birodh. Not only does he have a thorough understanding of the culture and history but also very passionate about it.
The most impressive places were the Pashupatinath Temple, we visited the place at a moment where there were a number of ceremonies happening at the same time. Though I know a bit about some of the rituals, Birodh gave it great personal context to it. We ended the day with great late lunch overseeing the Durbar square.
Thanks for such a memorable and inspirational day!

My tour guide was Jumana Khatri. She and a private driver took me on all the sites as promised. Her English was very good and I fully enjoyed the day, learning a lot. I had never used a private tour guide and private driver in a private vehicle before. The roads in Nepal are very rough and traffic is crazy. Make sure you will be comfortable spending the full day with a stranger in the vehicle of a driver who you have to trust to bob and weave through the ruts and traffic jams of Nepal, and hope his car survives! Jamuna was very pleasant. I bought her lunch (which I think is expected - as is a tip at the end of the day). I highly recommend the tour. However, be prepared to jump out of the car at a moment's notice! Thee are a lot of stops during the day. When you are at your next site, there isn't much warning from the driver or Jamuna to grab your things and go! I suggest you take a face mask (which many residents wear), an extra bottle of water, and a tote bag for the treasures you may buy along the way!

A really enjoyable tour of the city with the focus on the four main interesting locations.
My guide Sabita Khanal was excellent. She arrived with the driver on time. We spent the perfect amount of time in each location. Sabita was professional, knowledgable and friendly - the perfect guide. As a solo traveller she assisted me by taking numerous photos for and of me at locations.
She assisted me in various gift purchases ensuring I always got a very good deal.
I thoroughly recommend this City Tour for anyone - but particularly for those (like me) with limited amount of free time in Kathmandu.
Thank you Outfitter Nepal. 5 Stars!
