I had a great experience with this company. I went on the Mundari Cattle Camp tour and everything was organized and the guides were very friendly. Ownership was responsive and great at communication.

We just finished a 3 Days Private Safari in Murchison Falls National Park; Standard Safaris arranged everything from the beginning to the end. We enjoyed Game drives; boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls; visiting the top of Murchison Falls and trekking with the Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Coleb organised everything and was always quick to respond to various questions.

We went on a two-week trip with my family, organised by Coleb from Standard Safaris. I had my concerns about organised trips, but this one didn’t justify any of those. Everything went very smoothly, even when some problems arose with one of the cars it got fixed by next morning, the accomodations were clean and comfortable, the programs were exciting and well-balanced - everything was done to a truly high standard. If you plan to visit Uganda and are looking for a guide, I warmly recommend Coleb and his team. In case you have a choice of drivers, go for Godwin, his presence made this trip even more enjoyable - cheerful, helpful, good sense of humour, generally a great person. Just look for the guy with a big smile and big heart:)

I could not fault Standard Safaris. They were excellent, from the pick up at the airport until the very end of our trip. Our accommodation options were outstanding, all meals were included, and we were very well fed. Our tour guides were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you to Chirs and Junior - you were fantastic. Standard Safari's and our guides (Chris and Junior) went above and beyond to make our trip memorable to ensure that we were comfortable and well looked after. Coleb (the owner) even came along on our Tanzania section to ensure we were enjoying our trip and everything was to our liking. I cannot rate them highly enough - outstanding is not enough as they went above an beyond outstanding. Absolutely had the best time and it was a trip of lifetime. You will not be disappointed with this company. We could not believe we got sooo close to the animals.

I went on a fully organized 12-day tour through Uganda to its highlights with Standard Safari. It was fantastic! Coleb did a fantastic job before the tour started. Every question was answered, the preparation and organisation of the trip was perfect! Guide and driver for the 12 days was Chris. He is funny, experienced and able to spot all kind of animals on our game drives (even if they were almost impossible to see)! I cannot say that there was only one highlight, because all of it was a 12-day highlight!! Besides the Big 5, various kind of birds, Chimps or the favorite Gorilla's were on the program. Amazing through and through. For the Lodges I decided on low budged ones. The stuff in each lodge were very friendly, the food amazing (mix between one to three courses). Each of them offered (solar) electricity and hot water - enough for me especially to charge batteries or taking a refreshing shower. Although we had sometimes problems with the electricity (cloudy, so not enough sunlight for the solar panels), I was aware of that and saw it as part of our Ugandian adventure.

We recently embarked on a safari adventure with Standard Safaris in Uganda, which was truly exceptional. Our guide, Yonah, was outstanding - his kindness, knowledge, and discretion significantly enhanced our experience. He was the heart of our trip. The local company's planning was offering a tailor-made journey that matched our interests. We saw an array of wildlife in Murchison, enjoyed rafting at Jinja, and experienced mountain biking at Sipi. A visit to Kidepo National Park was a highlight and comes highly recommended. The vehicle provided was comfortable and reliable. We highly recommend Standard Safaris for anyone seeking an unforgettable safari in Uganda. Their professionalism and the exceptional guidance of staff like Yonah make them an great choice.

Standard Safaris arranged a three-day trip from Kigali to Bwindi impenetrable forest (for gorilla experience) and back. It was a great experience – clear communication, excellent driver, the lodge was good and we could tailor the itinerary to our needs. Gorilla encounter itself was fantastic. Allow 5-6 hours for Kigali-Rushaga transfers – the border can have queues and the last hour of the dirt track to Bwindi is slow.

Booked Kampala trip with this organisation. Very easy to book, everything was done through Whatsapp and for the final details they visited us in the hotel night before. Guide was super!

My colleagues and I were transported (for a week) from Western Kenya - Kampala, Uganda - Kigali, Rwanda by Isaac from Standard Safari (for our outreach program in East Africa). The vehicle was very comfortable, and the driver excellent - he took time to narrate the history and cultural background of every village, town and city we drove through. He was a very safe and professional driver who made crossing the border posts hassle-free (Kenya into Uganda & Uganda into Rwanda). I was in a group of 3 and went on a great tour with Standard Safaris to Queen Elizabeth National Park for safari, Bwindi National Park for gorilla trekking, and Bunyoni Lake. I was surprised by how many events they had prepared for our short 3 day trip. On our first day from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth, we went on a boat safari tour (which was wonderful seeing the safari animals nearby the lakes) and they even squeezed in an unplanned safari tour (where we saw some lions and other animals). Gorilla trekking was one of the highlights of our trip and our tour guide did a great job preparing us for our trek. Lastly, Lake Bunyoni was unexpectedly very beautiful and a part of Uganda that I did not know I had to visit but am so glad we did. Our tour guide during the bird tour at Lake Bunyoni was fantastic. We had booked a budget safari tour and Standard Safaris had the most competitive price. For many aspects of our trip, our tour guide and Coleb (owner of Standard Safaris, who joined us for the trip) went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. All the lodging was clean and the food provided was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our safaris with Standard Safaris Ltd. They were so patient and efficient and detailed in helping us plan our excursions and they execution was excellent as well. We saw an amazing amount of animals and learned so many things in both Uganda and Kenya from the friendly and amazing drivers. We would love to come back and travel with this company again!
