- mariosU6197RO0 contributionsVery nice experienceAdam was our guide and he made sure we didnt lack of anything. He replied to all our questions and gave us a lot of information. We did the 3 days Murchison Falls trip and We definitely recommend it!Written November 24, 2024
- C2887YWinesb0 contributionsGreat days at Murchison NationalparkWe had a great time on our trip to the Murchison Nationalpark. The communication beforehand was easy and quick which we appreciated alot since we booked last minute and still received a suitable itinerary for us. Our guide Adam was always on time, attentive and was able to answer all our questions. The accomodation was really nice and we felt comfortable. The tour itself was exactly what we were looking for. It was the right balance of relaxation and activities. We would highly recommend African Adventure Travellers!Written November 11, 2024
- P5390HYdaveb0 contributionsOne Of A Kind Spectacular ExperienceSetting up this adventure took a fair bit of planning and Dr. Robert was there every step of the way while our itinerary was tweaked multiple times. He always listened and offered helpful suggestions. On the day of our arrival both Dr Robert and our guide, Augustine, were there to meet us at the airport at 2am to get us to the hotel. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Augustine. He was knowledgeable and personable and not only led us on our journey but he quickly became one of the group himself. The accommodations were all clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff to make your stay more enjoyable. Upon our return to Entebbe, Dr Robert met us for dinner and even brought along one of the hotel owners to get first hand feedback of our travels and stay. A trip like this is truly a one of a kind adventure and I would highly recommend African Adventure Travellers to help guide you along the way. Oh and don't forget to ask for Augustine as your guide. I promise you won't be disappointed.Written September 24, 2024
- Emerald10D0 contributionsEXTRAORDINARY!! 2-Week Luxury SafariFrom the first days of chatting with Robert about possibilities to being delivered back to Entebbe Airport for our flight home, everything was perfect. I worked closely with Robert for over a year to design our ideal customized luxury tour. Through all of the questions, modifications, changes of objectives and participants, Robert never lost patience or made me feel like a pest. And, he was generally prompt and thorough with his responses. Our guide/driver Augustine was an absolute delight and soon became like a member of the family. He catered to our every need and whim, being good-natured and understanding about the various limitations of 4 seniors, while ensuring that we had some of the most amazing experiences imaginable... just some of which included: Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Chimpanzee Habituation in Kidepo Taking a walk among the lazing White Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Riding in a motor launch right up to 16 crocodiles sunning themselves on the shore A bush breakfast by the shores of the river Sunset at the top of Murchison Falls Stopping on the road to allow a Hippo to cross in front of us Meeting a Leopard and then following along as he leisurely strolled down the road Watching a young male Lion track and take down a Warthog Finding Tree Lions lounging up in the branches of a Ficus or cacti Getting out of the vehicle to take a walk through brush with the Giraffes Having a beer on the lodge veranda while the resident Warthogs mow the lawn at our feet, and listening to the Hippos munch on the ground cover under our banda during the night Sharing the lodge swimming pool with the Baboons Chatting to a Monkey and her baby who came in through the vehicle window for a visit And, many, many more! Our accommodations were all beautiful and unique, the vehicle was commodious and comfortable (and, usually cleaned during the night), the Ugandan people were open, friendly and polite. Overall, I can't recommend this company and this tour highly enough! Just do it! You won't be sorry... FYI, the same itinerary can be followed on a less generous budget and Robert even has very pleasant accommodation at his facility just outside of Entebbe.Written September 13, 2024
- 237michellelc0 contributionsAnother exceptional safari experience!Another perfect experience with African Adveture Travellers. This was the 4th safari we've been on with African Adventure Travellers and the service is always top notch! Dr. Robert is professional and everything is organized so I don't have to worry about anything for our group of 8. The activities are exciting and interesting, the vehicles are comfortable, and the accommodations are comfortable. Adam is wonderful, he instantly becomes one of the group. He's professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. It is always a pleasure to have him with us. Thank you again! We will see you next year!Written August 2, 2024
- 237michellelc0 contributionsThe perfect Tanzania safari experience! As usual African Adventure Travellers delivered! Dr. Robert organized a safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. He worked within our budget to make sure that the tour was exceptional. As always it was perfect. The accommodations were comfortable, the driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and the experience was amazing! The number of animals we saw in Ngorongoro crater was incredible. The views were breathtaking. This was my first trip to Tanzania and it could not have been better. When I go back I will definitely book with African Adventure Travellers again.Written August 2, 2024
- 743svenjas0 contributionsGreat experience!I had a wonderful time on the 2 Ugandan Safaris I did to (1) Murchison Falls + Kibale and (2) Queen Elizabeth + Lake Mburo. Communication and planning with Dr. Robert was very easy and he catered to all my requests. Augustine is a super friendly & knowledgeable guide and we had a great time together. I would definitely recommend booking with African Adventure Traveller, especially when comparing the smooth experience to other Tour Operators I used in Uganda.Written June 29, 2024
- PhylW_130 contributionsSuperbWe had a fantastic trip from Kampala. Organisation was straightforward, as Robert was extremely responsive from our first enquiry to the end of the trip. We had to change our dates at the last minute, and he couldn't have been more accommodating. Adam was a superb driver/guide, and we saw so much wildlife. We even caught a glimpse of some chimps on the drive into Murchison, which was an unexpected treat. Altogether an unforgettable experience!Written March 15, 2024

- KennedyBrian0 contributionsThe best of Rwanda, and Uganda WildlifeFrom our initial contact with Dr. Robert and the team at African Adventure Travellers, the assurance of professionalism and hospitality set the tone for our custom trip with eight friends, spanning from Kigali, Rwanda, to Entebbe, Uganda. The meticulously planned itinerary seamlessly blended African warmth with breathtaking nature. Our journey kicked off in Kigali with a visit to the Genocide Memorial, a somber start that proved its worth. Three nights at Ingagi Lodge exceeded expectations – the staff's warmth and welcomeness, and the challenging trek in Volcanos National Park, particularly to Bisoke, rewarded us with our first memorable Mountain Gorilla sightings. Special mention to the chef at Ingagi Lodge for crafting the best-packed lunch, a delightful surprise in the midst of an arduous trek. Crossing into Uganda had minor border hiccups, a lesson learned about the importance of printing documents. This is where the exceptional drivers, Augustine and Adam, added immeasurable value, contributing to the trip's overall joy by assisting with various needs, from visa printing to snacks, beer stops, and room changes. Rushaga lived up to its billing, cocooned in mist within the steep hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – a serene respite after arduous jungle treks in pursuit of gorillas. A highlight awaited us at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, nestled along a river teeming with hippos in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The staff's excellence, combined with idyllic accommodations, created a bush camp experience that we could have easily extended for the remainder of our journey. Transitioning to Chimpundu Lodge after Ishasha, we found comfort in its higher-end amenities. The lodge, offering modern comforts, stood out for its great food options and the trip's most comfortable beds. Our final stop, Paraa Safari Lodge, had a few hiccups. A late arrival resulted in twin rooms instead of the Premium doubles we had booked. Dr. Robert promptly addressed the oversight, offering room upgrades the next day. While not a negative experience, Paraa Safari Lodge deviated slightly from our seamless journey, with check-in issues, reserved tables given away, and standard buffet fare. Despite this, it remains a decent spot, albeit the only place where we felt a bit like "tourists" on an otherwise extraordinary trip. In summary, whether you are an experienced traveler as we are, or looking for a wonderful introduction to Africa, I would recommend African Adventure Travellers for your trip planning and logistical needs, you won't be disappointed.Written January 7, 2024
- MoniqueMGarcez0 contributionsBest Uganda 360 experience !My husband and I had the best 9 days tailor-made trip across Uganda with the most friendly, professional and kind local guide Augustine. All activities were extremely well coordinated for us to take the most out the country experience including game driving, boat safaris, gorillas/chimpanzees trekking, incredible welcoming lodges and delicious food ! I strong recommend to visit Uganda with African Adventure Travel.Written December 23, 2023
- janabQ3345BM0 contributionsWonderful trip!Me and some friends did the 3-day Tour. We were lucky and had a private tour with our amazing, courteous and hilarious funny tourguide Huzaima! He was treating us as a friend, joining dinner every time and telling stories. He had a good knowlegde about the wildlife and the ugandan culture. For the tour we could nearly see all of the big 5. Our accomondation was good, sadly our car had no air condition. The company was organised, also communication wa well and easy with WhatsApp. We would really recommend this trip!Written November 30, 2023

- Alex C0 contributionsEpic trip with AATWe did the Murchison falls 3 day Safari with 5 people and honestly Without Augustine, it would never would have been the same. Had treated us like family and made sure we had a great time whilst feeling safe. There was very little he didn’t know and when he didn’t he said he would find out (which he did). Augustine made sure we saw the big five, even though I doubted we would see lions, Augustine made it happen and he truly made the experience so si much better for us all. When I return to Uganda, I will definitely be using African adventure travellers and I will be requesting Augustine. Thanks AAT for an experience none of us will ever forgetWritten November 22, 2023
- PCLBoston_MA0 contributionsOutstanding safari in Uganda for 8 days for 8 peopleI can't say enough good things about the planning and implementation of our 8 day safari to Uganda. We were a group of 8 people, two 80 year olds, and two families each with a 7 year old boy. For 7 of us it was our first time in Uganda and for 6 of us it was the first time in Africa. With some trepidation, I planned our trip, hoping that everything would work out and work out it did. Robert was very communicative and really helped me to develop a good itinerary. Four days in Murchison Falls and three days in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our guides Augustine and Adam met us at the Enbebbe Airport when we arrived and saw to our every need for the duration of our journey. We first drove Murchison Falls in two safari jeeps and stopped for rhino tracking at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which broke up the trip. For a few days we explored the falls and the park and saw lions, giraffes, hippos, and elephants to name just a few. Then our guides drove our vehicles to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Robert arranged for us to fly there, saving us all hours of driving on bad roads. The highlight of our time there were a visit to the Kichwamba orphanage center and the Kazinga channel boat ride. Our only disappointment was not finding lions in trees but we learned that development in the area is encroaching the wildlife there. Again we flew back to Entebbe and our guides drove the vehicles back. We ended our trip with a fabulous lunch with Robert on the rooftop of his office complex. Communication and planning in advance made this a wonderful experience for all eight of us.Written September 24, 2023
