- Shera V0 contributionsSafari Experience with African Adventure TravellersOur safari experience was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to Adam from African Adventure Travellers. Adam’s incredible “40/40” vision and vast knowledge of culture, heritage, and wildlife made our trip unforgettable. He spotted animals effortlessly, allowing us to see 25 different species! A special thanks to Jackson at the Rhino Sanctuary. While we missed seeing Obama, the rhino, Jackson’s captivating story of the white rhino population growing from 2 to 43 left us inspired and hopeful for conservation efforts. The sunrise during our adventure was a deeply moving moment. It reminded me how blessed I am to start the year in the heart of Africa with my partner, truly a gift I’ll cherish forever. A huge thank you as well to Linda and Timothy at the lodge for their friendly and welcoming hospitality, which made our stay even better. We highly recommend African Adventure Travellers for anyone seeking a life, changing safari. Be sure to have Adam as your guide,he’ll make your experience truly special!Written January 4, 2025
- N4693HZtheresah0 contributionsWhat an amazing tripThe tour was amazing. Our tour guide Adam did a very good and cared a lot about us. Even after the morning game drive when we were heading back to the hotel, he turned around after he got the info that others spotted a lion in the park and we went directly there. We saw the lion 🦁 he made it possible. The pumba cottage was amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Info for solo travelers: this is not a group tour. You only travel with the guideWritten December 5, 2024

- C2887YWinesb0 contributionsGreat days at Murchison NationalparkWe had a great time on our trip to the Murchison Nationalpark. The communication beforehand was easy and quick which we appreciated alot since we booked last minute and still received a suitable itinerary for us. Our guide Adam was always on time, attentive and was able to answer all our questions. The accomodation was really nice and we felt comfortable. The tour itself was exactly what we were looking for. It was the right balance of relaxation and activities. We would highly recommend African Adventure Travellers!Written November 11, 2024
- P5390HYdaveb0 contributionsOne Of A Kind Spectacular ExperienceSetting up this adventure took a fair bit of planning and Dr. Robert was there every step of the way while our itinerary was tweaked multiple times. He always listened and offered helpful suggestions. On the day of our arrival both Dr Robert and our guide, Augustine, were there to meet us at the airport at 2am to get us to the hotel. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Augustine. He was knowledgeable and personable and not only led us on our journey but he quickly became one of the group himself. The accommodations were all clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff to make your stay more enjoyable. Upon our return to Entebbe, Dr Robert met us for dinner and even brought along one of the hotel owners to get first hand feedback of our travels and stay. A trip like this is truly a one of a kind adventure and I would highly recommend African Adventure Travellers to help guide you along the way. Oh and don't forget to ask for Augustine as your guide. I promise you won't be disappointed.Written September 24, 2024
- Emerald10D0 contributionsEXTRAORDINARY!! 2-Week Luxury SafariFrom the first days of chatting with Robert about possibilities to being delivered back to Entebbe Airport for our flight home, everything was perfect. I worked closely with Robert for over a year to design our ideal customized luxury tour. Through all of the questions, modifications, changes of objectives and participants, Robert never lost patience or made me feel like a pest. And, he was generally prompt and thorough with his responses. Our guide/driver Augustine was an absolute delight and soon became like a member of the family. He catered to our every need and whim, being good-natured and understanding about the various limitations of 4 seniors, while ensuring that we had some of the most amazing experiences imaginable... just some of which included: Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Chimpanzee Habituation in Kidepo Taking a walk among the lazing White Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Riding in a motor launch right up to 16 crocodiles sunning themselves on the shore A bush breakfast by the shores of the river Sunset at the top of Murchison Falls Stopping on the road to allow a Hippo to cross in front of us Meeting a Leopard and then following along as he leisurely strolled down the road Watching a young male Lion track and take down a Warthog Finding Tree Lions lounging up in the branches of a Ficus or cacti Getting out of the vehicle to take a walk through brush with the Giraffes Having a beer on the lodge veranda while the resident Warthogs mow the lawn at our feet, and listening to the Hippos munch on the ground cover under our banda during the night Sharing the lodge swimming pool with the Baboons Chatting to a Monkey and her baby who came in through the vehicle window for a visit And, many, many more! Our accommodations were all beautiful and unique, the vehicle was commodious and comfortable (and, usually cleaned during the night), the Ugandan people were open, friendly and polite. Overall, I can't recommend this company and this tour highly enough! Just do it! You won't be sorry... FYI, the same itinerary can be followed on a less generous budget and Robert even has very pleasant accommodation at his facility just outside of Entebbe.Written September 13, 2024
- 237michellelc0 contributionsAnother exceptional safari experience!Another perfect experience with African Adveture Travellers. This was the 4th safari we've been on with African Adventure Travellers and the service is always top notch! Dr. Robert is professional and everything is organized so I don't have to worry about anything for our group of 8. The activities are exciting and interesting, the vehicles are comfortable, and the accommodations are comfortable. Adam is wonderful, he instantly becomes one of the group. He's professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. It is always a pleasure to have him with us. Thank you again! We will see you next year!Written August 2, 2024
- 237michellelc0 contributionsThe perfect Tanzania safari experience! As usual African Adventure Travellers delivered! Dr. Robert organized a safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. He worked within our budget to make sure that the tour was exceptional. As always it was perfect. The accommodations were comfortable, the driver was knowledgeable and friendly, and the experience was amazing! The number of animals we saw in Ngorongoro crater was incredible. The views were breathtaking. This was my first trip to Tanzania and it could not have been better. When I go back I will definitely book with African Adventure Travellers again.Written August 2, 2024
- 743svenjas0 contributionsGreat experience!I had a wonderful time on the 2 Ugandan Safaris I did to (1) Murchison Falls + Kibale and (2) Queen Elizabeth + Lake Mburo. Communication and planning with Dr. Robert was very easy and he catered to all my requests. Augustine is a super friendly & knowledgeable guide and we had a great time together. I would definitely recommend booking with African Adventure Traveller, especially when comparing the smooth experience to other Tour Operators I used in Uganda.Written June 29, 2024
- PhylW_130 contributionsSuperbWe had a fantastic trip from Kampala. Organisation was straightforward, as Robert was extremely responsive from our first enquiry to the end of the trip. We had to change our dates at the last minute, and he couldn't have been more accommodating. Adam was a superb driver/guide, and we saw so much wildlife. We even caught a glimpse of some chimps on the drive into Murchison, which was an unexpected treat. Altogether an unforgettable experience!Written March 15, 2024

- KennedyBrian0 contributionsThe best of Rwanda, and Uganda WildlifeFrom our initial contact with Dr. Robert and the team at African Adventure Travellers, the assurance of professionalism and hospitality set the tone for our custom trip with eight friends, spanning from Kigali, Rwanda, to Entebbe, Uganda. The meticulously planned itinerary seamlessly blended African warmth with breathtaking nature. Our journey kicked off in Kigali with a visit to the Genocide Memorial, a somber start that proved its worth. Three nights at Ingagi Lodge exceeded expectations – the staff's warmth and welcomeness, and the challenging trek in Volcanos National Park, particularly to Bisoke, rewarded us with our first memorable Mountain Gorilla sightings. Special mention to the chef at Ingagi Lodge for crafting the best-packed lunch, a delightful surprise in the midst of an arduous trek. Crossing into Uganda had minor border hiccups, a lesson learned about the importance of printing documents. This is where the exceptional drivers, Augustine and Adam, added immeasurable value, contributing to the trip's overall joy by assisting with various needs, from visa printing to snacks, beer stops, and room changes. Rushaga lived up to its billing, cocooned in mist within the steep hills of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – a serene respite after arduous jungle treks in pursuit of gorillas. A highlight awaited us at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, nestled along a river teeming with hippos in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The staff's excellence, combined with idyllic accommodations, created a bush camp experience that we could have easily extended for the remainder of our journey. Transitioning to Chimpundu Lodge after Ishasha, we found comfort in its higher-end amenities. The lodge, offering modern comforts, stood out for its great food options and the trip's most comfortable beds. Our final stop, Paraa Safari Lodge, had a few hiccups. A late arrival resulted in twin rooms instead of the Premium doubles we had booked. Dr. Robert promptly addressed the oversight, offering room upgrades the next day. While not a negative experience, Paraa Safari Lodge deviated slightly from our seamless journey, with check-in issues, reserved tables given away, and standard buffet fare. Despite this, it remains a decent spot, albeit the only place where we felt a bit like "tourists" on an otherwise extraordinary trip. In summary, whether you are an experienced traveler as we are, or looking for a wonderful introduction to Africa, I would recommend African Adventure Travellers for your trip planning and logistical needs, you won't be disappointed.Written January 7, 2024

He was treating us as a friend, joining dinner every time and telling stories. He had a good knowlegde about the wildlife and the ugandan culture. For the tour we could nearly see all of the big 5. Our accomondation was good, sadly our car had no air condition. The company was organised, also communication wa well and easy with WhatsApp. We would really recommend this trip!Written November 30, 2023

We booked three trips with African Adventure Travellers from Kampala Uganda. First we travelled through Jinja to Sipi Falls. Along the way we stopped at Sezibwa Falls, at Mabira Forest Reserve for a guided hike, in Jinja for a boat ride to the source of the Nile River and finally reached Rafiki Lodge at Sipi Falls. The journey was both entertaining and educational from our guide Emmanuel. Rafiki Lodge was amazing. The views from the sundown walk and the next morning at sunrise were breathtaking. I am a vegetarian and the food offered was delicious. The next day we did a three hour hike with Joel who also operates Taste of Sipi Joe. He took us to two waterfalls and showed us farming in the community and his coffee business from growing in the plant to steaming in our cup.
The next trip was a one day journey to the Equator and Lake Mburo. We had a box lunch that we enjoyed at Lake Mburo while we waited for the boat to be ready to depart. On the boat tour we saw so many hippos, a few baby crocs and lots of interesting birds. Then we went into Lake Mburo National Park where we saw so many zebras, giraffes, water buffalo, antelope, elands, Jackson hartebeest, and water bucks. It was magical sitting at the waterhole watching so many species.
Our final trip was the journey to Murchison Falls. It’s a long trip from Kampala but so amazing. We stopped at the top of the falls first and then made our way to a boat tour on the Nile River where we saw so many amazing wild beings and cruised to the bottom of the falls. After the boat tour, we jumped in the Jeep and headed into the park. Being in the park at sundown was amazing. After a lovely overnight at Twiga Safari Lodge, we drove back into the park. The excitement that morning was spotting the vultures and hyenas and as we left three elephants beside the road topped off the whole visit.
African Adventure Travellers did a great job at arranging the trips for us and providing great accommodations. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely enjoy tours with the company again.

I had a great two days with African Adventure Travelers on a trip to Murchison Falls national park. I was picked up from my hotel in Entebbe and returned there the following evening.
The guide, Emmanuel, was great and worked really hard whilst on the game drives to find some of the harder to see animals. I was fortunate to see lions up close and caught a glimpse of a leopard as well.
The only downside to the trip was Heritage Lodge where we overnighted. It was nothing fancy, but generally fine except for the fact that the bed had a duvet on it (way to warm to use) and the mosquito net was full of flies when I got in: not the best night's sleep!
Despite the poor night I would highly recommend organizing a trip with this company.

We took several tours with African Adventure Travels. This one to Murchison Falls was one of them. We also went to Queen Elizabeth National park and Lake Bunyonyi. All of these experiences we unforgettable. My favorite part was just driving through the country of Uganda in our safari car and or awesome guide Ben Lubega . Also standing next to Murchison Falls and feeling the power of so much water moving through such a small area was unbelievable, both scary and exciting at the same time. . The trip was unforgettable. We saw all of the Big 5 except the lions. Ben is awesome guide. He knows 4 languages and was able to communicate with everyone that we encountered. He has extensive knowledge of Uganda it's history and people. He knows all about the habits of the African wildlife and is an engaging conversationalist. He was especially helpful during the frequent road blocks that occurred because of Covid checks. As it turned out the country was locked down the day after we arrive except for tourists so we were treated well. I would definitely use African Adventure Travels again.

Unfortunately we only had two days for a safari. However, we have made the most of it with African Adventure Travelers. Our guide Augustine was great and was able to tell us a lot about the animals and show them. Even a leopard, see the photos. Augustine was always right on time. I do photography myself and Augistine helped me put the vehicle in the right position. The scenery in Murchison Falls national park was breathtaking. You can reach this organization easily and quickly, including via WhatsApp. The food and the sleeping place were good. It was a great experience for all of us!

I had a couple of extra days in Uganda after a work trip, so I booked the 2-day trip to Murchison falls.
I was picked up by Augustine as agreed from my hotel with a professional safari car. We drove to the national park area, visited the top of the falls, had lunch at Red Chilli did a river cruise and a short game drive. The accomodation was at the Heritage lodge, which was very nice. They prepared a lovely dinner and breakfast was waiting for us at 6am. The room was very cute and the camp has a nice view over the Albert Nile.
On the second day we went for a longer game drive. Augustine was great in finding the best way to spot animals and we were super lucky even catching some lions crossing the road just next to our car. Not to even mention about all the elefants and giraffes. After waving the park we stopped by the Rhillno sanctuary where unexpectedly I could walk just next to rhinos. That was pretty great as I saw 12 rhinos.
Augustine was a great guide and driver, very skilled and pleasant to talk to. Also the agency boss, Robert, was very responsive patiently answering all my questions. I would highly recommend this company

My parents wanted to experience African Safari, and after looking at the extremely good reviews, I decided to go with the guys with the luxury package. Our experience on the 1st day was not at good as the van had no AC in a 7 hour long drive. Then the van broke down and my mom fell sick. When I reached the hotel, Paraa Lodge, it was very good, but I was under the assumption the luxury package will have AC rooms. However, our room was standard non-ac room. The team should clearly specify it during booking, so that if required we can make arrangements accordingly.
I called up the African Adventure team from the way and expressed by disappointment. The management was apologetic about the circumstance and promised me to arrange for a 3 seater - 4 wheeled Landrover the next day.
Next day we had a Landrover, and a new guide/driver Kiyemba Huzaima.
My mom was better that day and she and my dad thoroughly enjoyed their next 2 days with our guide Huzaima. He was very respectful and caring and took care of my parents needs all throughout the rest of the trip.
At the end of the trip, we forgot about the 1st day's inconvenience, owing to Huzaima's extremely good hospitality and services . My parents also got to see a lion, which they really wanted to, and our guide took a lot of effort to make that happen. Its not easy to track a lion in Murchisson unlike in Masai Mara where there are so many lions.
Overall i give a rating 4, one star less because of the 1st day's experience.
Will I recommend them ? I will, because of the overall good experience.
I hope they are more mindful of the things which they missed in my trip in future.
