      Beautiful experience great guide!
Great value for money we had so much fun! Our guide Noah was the best! So friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure we are happy and even arranged activities not part of the original itinerary just because we mentioned it in a conversation:) really recommend!

      Grest tour for the value!
Great trip if you are on a budget. Went with a girlfriend. Gorillas were amazing. Our tour guide Tony was top notch. Friendly Gorilla Tours was very organized and professional. Just make sure you take new money USD - 2017 or newer with no writing or tears on the money. Uganda is picky about excepting USD and you have to oay for your Gorilla $750 permit in cash.

Amazing five days spent with gorillas.
A friend of ours suggested Friendly Gorillas excursions. They certainly didn't let us down. Anthony and the team, which included our guide Solomon, were outstanding from the moment of the day the inquiry was answered until the execution time. That rendered the excursion extremely valuable. I heartily endorse them.

Great trip, guide was brilliant knowledgeable and good company. would use again
The trip was very good, what I requested on booking. The guide was excellent very knowledgeable about Uganda, its history and the wildlife. enjoyed his company and was a pleasure to travel with. The company was good, my only complaint would be the final details i received 2 days before my trip started. personally i would have preferred to have the final details finalised before leaving my home country. But i was met as agreed by Antony and Arafat(guide) . the hotels were good, clean and comfortable the food fresh and tasty. personally i would have preferred more local Ugandan dishes but no complaints.

      Disappointing
The general opinion has to be negative. We determined the whole plan with Anthony by emails before coming to Africa. It seemed that everyting would work correctly. He was very flexible and helpful. We paid for 2 day tour starting from Kigali. In the first day, the itinerary included visiting Mutanda Lake. Next day Bwindi gorilla trek and after driving us up to the homestay we chose at the Lake Bunyoni. I will briefly describe how it looked in reality.. The guide from the company and driver picked us up on time from the hotel in Kigali. No idea why there were two people. As it turned out we did not need the tour guide. Definitely, the driver was much more helpful, with better communication skills and knowledge about the local comunities. At first I was so suprised they chose longer road to the Mutanda, using different border (not Cyanika). As they explained me later it was coused by the fact they used this one in their first way to Kigali. The return way should have been done via the same border due to car registration. So as I thought we were not be able to visit the Lake and went directly to Bwindi. We spent night close to park entrance in a nice lodge. Early morning we started our gorilla trek. After 10 minutes of trekking we met gorillas. The experience was great. We were just dissapointed by the length of the trek. It was not a trekking, but a very short walk! The ranger of our group at the end of the "trek" told us that normally they would ascribe people to groups according to their physical fitness but our guide had asked them to put us in this group of visitors because we had to finish trek earlier then other groups. We are quite young and active. We joined group of much older people. Our guide did not even ask us for our preferences. We were looking for trekking, not only looking at gorillas almost from car park place. He ruined our trekking experience. Then he decided to go with us to the Mutanda Lake which we missed on the previous day. On the way there, our car broke down, so we could not go anywhere. Fortunatly, the driver asked some people on gas station to pick us up to our homestay in the Lake Bunyonyi. The tour guide during this accident was utterly unhelpful and unneccesary. He just did nothing. After all we contacted with Anthony who only said he was sorry, but finally we had seen gorillas. Sure, but we were looking for a gorilla trekking, so as the itinerary involved gorillas, trekking and the lake, they did only provide 1 out of 3 activities we paid for. We dislike the way they arrange it as well the style of the appologizing. For such a price, a mere "i'm sorry" is not enough. Anthony did not mention even any partial reimbursement.

Helped Obtain Permit for Gorilla Trek
We were travelling independently and Tony was one of the few agents that were happy to arrange a permit for a gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Park without having to buy a full tour package, and at a reasonable price. We were a bit nervous about the lack of communication as we got nearer the date of the trek and the exact details of how it would work were a bit light but this is how things often happen in Uganda. It's just not what we'd expect given the amount of money we'd handed over! In the end we had an incredible experience visiting the gorilla family and a day that will never be forgotten.

All good and very happy to recommend this company for such tours.
Very solid and trustworthy company. Good communications from Anthony. Fantastic tour guide in Eddie who works exceptionally hard. Being solo meant a premium cost-wise so, naturally, if there are two of you it becomes more economical. For whatever reason, I was the only one on the tour as the other two intended didn't seem to make it. I am very grateful for that not least because they could have just cancelled on that basis. I had come from Ngorongoro two days before and this was in a different league. Where the former had gazillions of tourists in many, many vehicles and very little prime wildlife to see, hardly anyone was here and game was abundant thanks to my guides contacts with rangers and his own expertise. Lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and to mention that the tour includes a generous stop-off en-route at the Ziwa white rhino sanctuary and, of course, the falls. He ensured there were multiple impromptu stop-off's too as species popped up. The overnight accommodation at the Hornbill Lodge was lovely - great staff, lovely en-suite room and nice food. Entebbe pick-up and drop-off was included too. Be aware that Eddie turns up well ahead of schedule so, if you have his contact, you can get going sooner if desired and also save him traffic hassle. There is a boat trip possibility (extra cost) outside the park at the new bridge but need to ask for in advance to tie with departures.

      An Incredible 2 Days
We only had a weekend to explore Uganda's largest national park and Friendly Gorilla's did not disappoint. Our guide Arafat was great with logistics and knew when to order food at busy places, which roads to take and specific times, and most notably where to go in the park to find all of the wildlife. We managed to see 4 of the big 5 (no leopards) in just two game drives! The park is absolutely beautiful, a must do if you are in Uganda.

Amazing 4 days trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Gorilla tracking
I just completed this amazing 4 day trip across major attractions in Uganda. The tour was well organised and the sights exceeded my expectations! Right from the booking process, it was very smooth. I had several questions, and also needed to customise the start and end points based on my overall plan. I got full clarity and support from Anthony with these and could book the tour with the peace of mind that it covers what I wanted. The sights we visited speak for themselves and provide amazing look into the wildlife. The chimp and gorilla tracking are absolutely thrilling experience. They were way better than I could have expected. The accommodations during the tour were greatly located and well maintained. They provided the lerfect retreat after the activities of the day. It is a well planned itinerary and packs a lot within 4 days! Loved every moment of the trip and taking back great memories from Uganda! Thank you Friendly Gorilla Safari for the amazing time!

      Best Gorilla & Wildebeest safari
I was recommended by a friend who had traveled with this company before. When we started our plan to visit Uganda, i was afraid since i had not visited the country before, but, i tell you - you will have remarkable experiences as you explore the hospitable people, lush scenery, and, most importantly, your time with the mountain gorillas. Anthony was calm with us throughout our booking process, and when we arrived, our guide Fasil and Tony made our stay worthwhile. I now know why my friend chose to go back to Uganda with the same company. I can not recommend them enough.

Gorilla Trekking, Seeing Animals, The Equator, The lodges, The Food....
We did the 4 Day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Experience and our guide was Tony, he was spectacular. He is very soft spoken but told us everything we needed to know, he drove us all over Uganda day after day-such a beautiful country. He got us to all of our spots that was shown in the tour, stopped when we needed to, got us there safe and of course got us to see the Gorillas. I highly recommend this company as Tony was great and pricing was very fair, accommodations were better than expected the same for the food.

      An overall disappointment
My friend and I have overall been disappointed by this tour company. The main issue has been the guide /driver, a very kind man who unfortunately didn't possess the necessaty dynamism and self confidence to be a guide, and who was rather extremely soft spoken and mannered. We had a hard time communicating with him and having our questions answered throughout the whole holiday. It wouldn't have been a major issue in itself hadn't his gross time mismanagement made us miss our evening flight on the last day. We followed his advice on departure time (even waited for him in the morning!) and clearly mentioned multiple times the latest we had to be at the airport. We ended up arriving 20 mins before our flight. He didn't take any possible traffic in consideration and even wanted us to stop at the Equator when we had already been delayed by lunch. I have of course tried to have the new tickets (300$) reimboursed by the company. We managed to reach the manager Anthony, whose Whatsapp answers had been a bit patchy throughout the week already, after 1h30 of the phone ringing out. Despite admitting it was their fault and knowing we had to take the following flight as my friend would have otherwise missed her international connection, he came up with various excuses until it was too late and we didn't have any another choice than to pay ourselves. Also, despite initially saying he wanted to reach a compromise and somehow help, he has since stopped answering my messages (as expected). The manager had also booked some - if not all - the accomodation at the last minute. I had asked them one month and a half in advance to book a specific place - way below the budget the package allowed, by the way - where a friend stayed, and they told us the night before our arrival in Uganda that the place was fully booked for the first night. Luckily my friend, knowing we were supposed to come, had kept a room for us, but hadn't this happened we would have missed our stay there even after specifically asking for it well in advance (and, I repeat, this place was a homestay way cheaper than the category we were supposed to have). Last but not least, the car (whose doors didn't hold open and whose icebox didn't work) broke for two days in a row, making us us miss a whole game drive one afternoon and part of it the following day. I add that I live in Africa and both my friend and I have already quite extensively travelled the continent. This was the first time we had such issues with a tour operator.

Best gorilla and chimp trek EVER!!!!
This was the most amazing trip ever. Friendly gorillas are true professionals. Their prices are competitive, their guides are excellent and so knowledgeable, and their tours are planned and well organized. Anthony and Toni kept us abreast of all the plans of the tour since before we even set foot in Uganda. They were also flexible and allowed us to add more activities to our tour: we even ended up extending our trip with them. If you are between travel companies, think no more. Friendly gorillas is the way to go. Ask for Toni our tour guide!
