Excellent Trip to Rwanda & Uganda
My family just completed a 12 day tour of Rwanda & Uganda. We cannot possibly say enough positive things about our experience! John picked us up from the airport in Kigali. He told us the first night that we were part of his family now, and it truly felt that way. We were all sad to our part ways at the end of our trip when he returned us to the airport! During our trip, we visited the genocide museum, then enjoyed a city tour of Kigali, and traveled to the Nyungwe Forest for chimp trekking, & Lake Kivu, before heading to Uganda. John handed us off directly to our Uganda based guide, Scodious, in “no man’s land”. Scodious was equally amazing & made us feel so welcome in Uganda. She did everything in her power to ensure we had a great experience & was extremely organized. On the Uganda side of our trip, we enjoyed both golden monkey and gorilla trekking. Upon return to Rwanda, we traveled to Akagera National Park for safari. John was quite knowledgeable on the local flora & fauna, and tried his best to make sure we were able to view the Big Five. Home to Africa did an amazing job with communication before, and during, our trip. We would highly recommend this company.

      12 days in Rwanda/Uganda
I booked a 12-day tour with a friend to explore Rwanda and Uganda. This was my first trip to Africa, and we had contacted several agencies. Home to Africa replied right away, very professionally in comparison to other agencies. We felt taken care of and decided to go with them. The trip was absolutely fantastic. We were very tired at the end, solely because our amazing guide used every hour of every day to show us everything he could. We learned so much about the country, the culture, the wildlife, the food... The trip could not have been organized better than that. Everything was seamless. The team is very professional, and thanks to them we spent an amazing two-weeks trip in Africa. Thanks to Hedmond on the admin side, and huge thanks to William our driver/guide for showing us Uganda, and for keeping us safe at all times.

Great experience! Uganda and its people are beautiful!
I chose Home to Africa for my holiday safari after researching several companies. The price was competitive and communication via email was prompt. Brian, my guide/driver picked me up on time and as I was a solo traveler he was also a very pleasant traveling companion. The lodges included in my package were all great with pleasant staff, great views, and good food. Overall a memorable lifetime experience and I would recommend Home to Africa to my family and friends.

Best tour I've done so far. 10/10.. And these countries are amazing!
What an experience! This was my best adventure trip so far! Derrick was the best guide ever, really knowledgeable, friendly and really great driver. He did all he could to provide the best experience, best views and information. That made the whole tour 10x better! The tour itself is very well organized, the lodges are fantastic, with great staff everywhere. Things went perfectly according to plan and I was really happy with the overall experience. Felt that home to africa are very well established and plan really well. They also have great guides for these tours. Would highly highly recommend such tour and Derrick as a guide. He was fantastic!

      A trip to never forget
What an amazing trip. Uganda is a beautiful country, the trip was short but very diverse – from flat dry land, to rich forests and mountains. Which made it a wonderful adventure. Our guides Derrick, Danny and Balam showed us around perfectly and were such great company. The accommodations were very special and everything was thought off. It was very special to visit the Gorilla's and see so many different beautiful animals during the safari. A trip to never forget.

An amazing experience with Home to Africa
My wife and I travelled across Uganda with Home to Africa and their amazing guide Karim for 15 days. From the very start their company were so helpful organizing our itinerary and helping us through every step, including advice for the Visa application. They always responded within a day or two and were very knowledgeable and kind. An A+ for communication! Our guide Karim was so kind, warm, welcoming and full of knowledge and he was eager to share it with us each and every day. We simply cannot say enough good things about him! A guide can really make or break a Safari and Karim definitely made our trip special! We cannot recommend Home to Africa and their guide Karim enough :)

      Once in a lifetime experience
My experience with Home to Africa was amazing! From the moment we were picked up, our guide, Eli, made us feel welcome and comfortable. Eli is, without a doubt, the best guide we could have asked for. He is super friendly and funny, an excellent driver, and his knowledge of the local culture was impressive - he’s always ready to answer our questions, no matter how random they are! The trek itself was very well-organised and it’s hard to put into words the feeling of seeing the gorillas up close in their natural habitat. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience I highly recommend Home to Africa and especially Eli for anyone considering a gorilla trekking tour.

6-day trip in Uganda! Highly recommend Home to Africa
We highly recommend Home to Africa if you are planning on going to Uganda! Everything from the first contact to plan the trip and make changes to our preferences, the details of the trip and the best guide Eli. Eli made sure we were always comfortable, safe, shared so many stories and facts and made our trip truly amazing! We had a taste of Ugandan culture thanks to Eli showing us traditional foods and the best places to go to. He went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy. From giving us a taste of local foods, to letting the accommodations know it was our honeymoon. Uganda is truly a magical place but it wouldn’t have been the same without Eli!

      The best African trip ever
Can’t express exactly how much of an awesome experience it was… 13 days all around the country with Home to Africa and we saw so much. Everything was perfect, from the accommodations to the activities. We saw everything we wanted to see, did everything we wanted to do. Our guide Innocent was the nicest and coolest ever. I cannot do much but recommend Home to Africa to visit this incredible country. Thanks again, especially Innocent, and see you next time!

      12 days Tour
Once in a lifetime experience, we were on a 12 day Tour with Home to Africa and were absolutly blown away from the pure nature and beauty of Uganda. We can only recommend this tour to anybody who wants to experience Uganda, everything is taken care of and you dont have to worry about a thing. A Big Thank you goes out to our incredible Guide Balam (aka Buffalo Soldier), he has an unbelivable knowledge of all the animals and birds and the country of Uganda and can tell stories and facts about it for hours. We learnt so much about all the animals and uganda that we cant wait to come back, because Uganda has so much to offer. We are so pleased we had him as our guide for the 12 days. We saw all the animals close up and couldnt have wished for more, even though its nature and you can never tell what your gonna see. The places we stayed at were really clean and good, all the food we had was really delicious and the people very friendly. We can only recommend booking a tour with Home to Africa since they really make you feel at home in Uganda

      Great tour operator in Uganda!
We really enjoyed our 6D/7N Safari with Home To Africa! William, our guide, was very knowledgable, friendly, entertaining and flexible. The accomodations (1N Kibale, 2N Queen, 2N Bwindi, 1N Mburo) were much better than we expected for budget level and also better than locations we had during previous safaris. Due to the flexibility of the office, we were able to adjust our tour based on the individual needs. It was no problem to transfer the money to the company before, it was fully trustworthy. We also recommend the optional activity in Kibale (Crater lakes / cultural Village), while we do not recommend the tour in Bwindi. Summing up, we had an excellent time in Uganda and will come back once time and money allow. We also highly recommend the company in general and William as guide in particular.

      Unforgettable
My long-time dream was to go to Uganda and of course I couldn't choose a better agency to do it. From the beginning everything was easy to make the changes we wanted and to be able to make an unforgettable honeymoon. The best thing about the trip, in addition to getting to know Uganda, its people and culture, its landscapes and many animals, was getting to know Derrick, our guide, a discovery. What a kind, fun and attentive man, undoubtedly the best guide we could have.

From our initial contact to ask for information till our airport drop off, our guide as well as everyone we spoke to at HTA were very helpful and made this trip easy for us. Our guide Amos is a young man that everybody seems to know in Uganda ;)) Very polite and extremely knowledgeable, and a very able driver too.
The tour was a 5 day gorilla trekking, and HTA were more than eager to accommodate our picked destinations and activities at a very competitive price.
Uganda itself is among the most beautiful countries we have been in Africa, with abundance of wildlife and the kindest people. Great food too!!
Seeing gorillas in their natural habitat with the least possible disturbance to them was definitely the highlight of our trip and surely among the most cherished experiences of my life!

We did an October gorilla and chimp safari with Home To Africa. They were flexible with planning an itinerary which matched our interests and were able to drop us off in Rwanda for our flight. Although it was the start of rainy season we had good weather and were still able to see tons of animals.
Our driver, Brian, was knowledgeable and used his network of guides to get close to amazing animals in the park. We saw everything we wanted to see and more thanks to Brian. We enjoyed many laughs with Brian and felt very comfortable with him as our driver.
We chose budget accommodations which were quite comfortable. The food was also delicious. You could order western or local dishes.
The gorilla were a real highlight of the trip. We got up close to a peaceful silverback and his 18 month old. We saw several others from the gorilla family. It was an unforgettable experience. We would also recommend walking with the giraffes on a park ranger walking safari.

We were a group of 6 friends from UK and Kenya. We started off with a day in Kampala followed onto chimp trekking, Kazinga channel, bird safari and onwards onto gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Our guide Derick was very knowledgeable not only in the history of each area but also very informative on his knowledge of animals and extensive bird species. He had a great sense of humour which made the long distance transfers seem not so long. Derick also looked after our needs especially the meals, as we were all vegetarians.
I would highly recommend Home to Africa tours as they were very thorough and helpful throughout the whole planning and booking process. Additionally, Derick delivered our tour seamlessly and definitely way beyond our expectations.

Home to Africa created a tailor made tour for me that was amazing. My tour guides in both Rwanda and Uganda were incredible! Their knowledge and experience were first rate. Balam took care of everything for me in Uganda. He even made sure I had the strongest porter for my gorilla trek, since I am 68 years old, have poor balance and I am obese. He went above and beyond making sure we found leopards and tree climbing lions on my birthday. He also had a group of youngsters come to our lodge and sing Happy Birthday to me in a very unique way. I am so impressed with Home to Africa and especially Balam! If you find yourself wanting to visit Uganda, make sure you request this wonderful guide! Mat Eisenstadt

Spending time with our primate ‘relatives’ was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The rest of our time in Uganda was also beyond our expectations, it’s a very green and welcoming place. Home To Africa organized everything super smoothly, the programs were very varied (water and inland safari, visiting lakes, community tour etc) and the accommodations were all clean and of high standards. Our guide Derrick also made us feel very comfortable.

What an amazing safari! Our guide Danny was the absolute best. He was so easy to spend 6 days with, always on time, the extra effort to make sure I got the photos I wanted, made sure we were well taken care of everywhere we went and speaks great English. We had lots of laughs and made memories to last a lifetime. The sheer number of animals we saw and the beauty of Uganda were beyond my expectations as was the customer service everywhere. Thank you Danny from the bottom of my heart. - The Hallford’s

Me and my partner did the 5 day safari trip with Home to Africa and it was fantastic. It saved us so much time on researching good places to stay, do tours with, places to eat and organising getting from A to B because Home to Africa sorted everything. I found the driving consistently safe and our guide would stop at view points if we wanted to take photos and he had an impressive knowledge of local birds and wildlife which was fantastic. By the end we had a lovely fun friendship with our guide Benon who ate with us for all our meals and was always ready and waiting to pick us up after gorilla/chimp treks. He even negotiated on our behalf if we thought we were being overcharged for things. He was also incredibly dedicated to ensuring we saw all the wildlife on our game drives. I am recommending this trip to everyone.

Wow, where to begin? Yesterday we finished our five day gorilla trekking tour with Home to Africa and it was an adventure we will never forget! We were fortunate to have Karim as our guide and we couldn't have asked for better. From the moment we landed in Entebbe until the end, we felt safe, relaxed, and in great hands. Karim was knowledgable, fun, and laidback; we enjoyed talking with him and looked forward to seeing him everyday. He would give us a briefing on what to expect daily; even down to making sure we were dressed adequately for the weather. Everything was organized and we wanted for nothing. Then of course there were the animals! We saw chimpanzees, elephants, hippos, lions, impala, warthogs, tons of exotic birds, monkeys, and of course gorillas! We were even lucky enough to see a leopard - she was one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen! We stayed and watched her for 30 minutes and Karim never rushed us; we didn't even realize we were watching her for so long! All the lodges exceeded expectations and the staff at each went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. My husband and I easily give our tour five stars and want to return someday with our parents. We highly recommend Karim and hope to see him again on our return to Uganda.

Had an amazing tour with Scodious Arinawe. The itinerary was excellent. But the tour guide was exceptional. She was interesting, knowledgeable, and a joy to talk to. She knew all about the country, people and was a great animal spotter! She made sure we had the best experience tracking gorillas and chimpanzees. She made sure we were able to see both groups in perfect weather. Home to Africa was a great tour company. We were supposed to go in January but I fell and broke my pelvis. They were very accommodating and let us go in June instead without any problems. Great itinerary and wonderful places to stay. Thank you Scodious for a wonderful experience in Uganda. Can’t wait to return and see more of Uganda with you and Home to Africa!

I want to thank Home to Africa for the most amazing tour of Uganda. Amos our guide was absolutely fantastic. He had such good knowledge, was kind helpful and enthusiastic. We saw everything we hoped to see and more and we couldn’t believe how good the value for money was. Every lodge was amazing, food was great, car was comfortable. Home to Africa were also very very responsive. We would recommend Amos and Home to Africa to all fellow travellers. We hope to travel with them again soon
