Can match solo travellers to make a group
Out of all the companies I emailed, Judith Safaris were the only ones who were able to match me up with other solo travellers to make a group and share the cost. No other tour company seemed interested. I had a really good day. The other travellers were really nice our guides were excellent. It’s always a bit of luck with a safari but we did pretty well and saw a lot. I would genuinely recommend this company if you are travelling alone. I had to be a bit flexible on dates but to share the cost it was really worth it. Aside from the safari, Emeline also helped me with loads of advice regarding buses etc. and how much to pay for a local taxi, which was really appreciated. I also think it’s great to support a female orientated business 💪

          Wonderful experience!
My guides Alice and Yvette from Judith Safaris were fun, kind, professional and still like sisters. We traveled from Musanze Rwanda to Bwindi and lake Bunyonyi in Uganda and the trip with these women couldn’t have been better. I would strongly recommend Judith Safaris to anyone. Also this company has a focus on empowering women and bringing more women into the field of tourism. 10/10!

Judith Safaris Made Our Trip One of the Most Memorable of My Life!
I cannot express how impressed I am with the ladies of Judith Safaris. Recently, I coordinated a two week long vacation for family and friends, traveling to Rwanda and Tanzania, using Judith Safaris. The young ladies who were our guides (Alice and Yvette), were excellent. Our trip coordinator Emily, was also excellent. They suggested dining options, hotels, and attractions that I wouldn't have come up with myself, and made it all work together into a seamless vacation for the ages. I would recommend Judith Safaris to anyone who wants an authentic East African vacation / itinerary, and knowing their mission of empowering young Rwandan women, makes it all the more worthwhile to support this women-owned company. Judith Safaris has a customer for life in me!

          Amazing Africa
The overall experience was great. We were met at Kigali airport on time and with knowledgeable guides, who escorted us during our entire visit in Africa. However I do have one issue that I must present and it was our stay at “Twin Lakes” resort. While the location is beautiful, the accommodations left much to be desired, with no electricity or hot water. I would not stay there again without hot water and electricity. Please advise the host of my issues.

Judith Safaris will give you an experience that you will never forget. You will want to make this an annual trip.
I don't know where to start! We had the most amazing taste of Africa tour ever. We painted the town with Judith's team. Her guides were so knowledgeable and they rolled out the red carpet for us on this 16 day tour. From Kigali to Tanzania they made us feel at home. I would definitely do this tour again and hope to have Alice, Yvette, Dana, Tuma, Frank, Doris, and there's one more, who name has slipped my mind, to be our tour guide.

          Very convenient, great guide
Went with my 15 yo daughter. Two days, one night -- Saturday morning pickup in Kigali, Sunday evening return. Judith arranged everything, no muss no fuss. Very simple and easy. We saw lots of zebras, lots of hippos and birds (on the lake cruise), one buffalo, one elephant. No lions or leopards, but that's just random chance. What moved this from four stars to five was the driver / guide, Irere. Friendly, punctual, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the birds. Ask for Irere -- *especially* if you are a bird person. The birds may be less dramatic than lions or elephants, but there are a fantastic variety of them, and if you have a knowledgeable guide they can be very interesting. Recommended.

Female powered, timely communication, professional service
Judith Safaris is a female powered tour company that provides customized tours and packaged tours. We got recommendations from multiple sources (NGO run by a friend, female powered resort…), and didn’t regret to cooperate with them for a customized two week tour throughout Rwanda. Alice our driver is patient, helpful, punctual, and friendly. She is not afraid to take challenges and did her best to make sure we are comfortable and happy during the road trip. She also tried to provide many useful recommendations to make our trip more relaxing and interesting. When we were registering for our gorilla trekking trip in Volcanoes National Park, I was proud but a bit sad to see Alice was the only female guide amongst almost 40 guides that day. The communication we had with their back office when we were planning the details of the itinerary, and during our trip was very timely and helpful as well. Please consider to work with Judith!

          Amazing
We had an amazing experience with Judithsafaris. Everything was set according to ours demands et we were more than amazed by the tour. Our guide Paul was wonderful, very Kind and had some fun facts to share with us. We had to chance to do the royal ballon. We were just à little disappointed by the food because we wanted to eat some local specialites but other than that, it was good. Maybe include some binoculars. Thank you for a beautiful safari

I learned so much about Rwanda
I visited Rwanda as a solo traveler for the first time ever - both Rwanda & solo traveling as a first time. I'm so thankful I chose Judith Safari to book my gorilla & coffee plantation tour over two days. One reason I picked them was because they are woman owned, woman led. We gotta' support each other! They took care of everything. It was so easy! I even had a 4am pickup for the gorillas - which felt a little scary, meeting a stranger from the other side of the planet to take me to mysterious places in the dark. The gorilla experience is like visiting another planet and the coffee tour was incredibly educational. I'll never look at coffee the same! Both experiences were on opposite ends of the country (N & S) so I got to see so much without realizing it when I booked the trip. My guide was fantastic and pointed out things I wouldn't have realized had significance - like crossing a bridge where the Nile originates! I highly recommend this to anyone.

          Kigali and surroundings with Miko
We hired a car with driver who came to pick us up at the airport. Everything was super well organised. Mico was not only a driver but showed himself to be a true tour guide. He came up with good ideas for an initial exploration of Kigali and its surroundings. Thank you Judith Safaris and Mico

A different way to see Kigali - get the leg muscles working !!!
Kigali by bike !!! Joe what does that involve??? To start with a lot of cycling up and down hills . Kigali is not flat !! While the hills are not super steep some are testing in the heat as one seems to go on forever !! Got picked up from my hotel at 8 am - bike (specialised mountain bike )came in 3 parts on a motor bike 😀😀😀 was put together by my guide Off we set - up hill to start and then a lot of down hill to the memorial museum. Stopped for a tour and it's not for the faint hearted - some of the accounts of fairly traumatic ! Off then for a long cycling up and down hills to vision city - and a bit of off road to see some of the big house construction !! Then through the wealthy part of town with a lot of large mansions !!! Came to the campaign against genocide museum for a fantastic tour with one of the best tour guides I have ever had - Sandrine - she has so much passion in explaining the history and how Rwanda is recovering ! Then off for a lunch in picturesque place before heading back to my hotel

I arranged for a one day visit to see the Gorillas at the very last minute. Sharon from Judith Safaris was fantastic in helping me get everything together and providing excellent information on what to expect on the trip. For example, I had to get a PCR test on Saturday with results coming the same day. Sharon told me where to go, sent me a pin for transportation, and told me how to make it clear I needed the result that day. Sylvie was my driver and guide for the day. She was wonderful and took great care of me. Her english is excellent (not unexpected but important to travelers), she is fun and engaging, she took care of all the details, and was timely in all our activities. Seeing the gorillas was amazing. The trekking was completely doable though not easy. I always look for women owned businesses to support and this one over delivers on value

During the 2 years of COVID, the gorillas apparently missed the "visitors" so much they wandered down into the local villages looking for them. We felt privileged to visit these primates in their home jungle. Our guide, porters and gunman were exceptional. Our gorilla family was quite a mobile one, which meant we had to walk quite awhile to catch up, helped by porters through dense jungle of the Virunga Mtns. On arrival, our family was sleeping, or trying to without much success due to the antics of the littlest member of the troupe who kept jumping on the other gorillas trying to entice them to play. We visited for an hour watching them play, snooze, eat and interact with each other. Our guide was "speaking" to the family anytime they appeared unsettled which resulted in a spectacular visit for us. We started to leave when the Silverback decided it was time for the family to move on as well, and the entire family trouped past us, nearly trodding on our toes. We got it all on film and video and we were delighted with our experience. Top knotch service by our guides and porters, who helped us over the jungle floor which is littered with vegetation, fall tree trunks and vines. It was a memorable day and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I had an amazing time on my gorilla trek! Judith Safaris is fantastic company to organise your trip through, they’re very reliable and very friendly. They were also super helpful in getting me organised for me trip (eg with regards to the Covid test (Dec 22)) and picking me up at my hotel the morning of the trip. I had an amazing time with the gorillas, made possible only through the dedicated organisation by Judith Safaris :)

I had an amazing day. Everything was done as agreed. From the booking experience to the preparations to the actual day-trip, everything was flawless.

The gorilla trek was an amazing experience and I chose to add a visit to the Ellen de Generes campus after being recommended to do it by Judith Safaris. My driver Janet was a really safe driver and the car was good quality. Janet is also a really cool person, and we had a lot of interesting talks on the way there and back. It was a chill and relaxing day in good company. I would choose Judith Safaris again If I was to return to Rwanda.

Hello Ilidiko , This seems like a misunderstanding ,as we explained during the phone conversation we explained to you that we recently experience a fraud /scam issue on our viator account . some one managed to hack through our account and changed our bank account credentials to his. this is to mean that every single payment that would be made on our viator page was going straight to his account ,we realized this after making a big loss but we reached out to the concerned viator team and the case is being looked through . this is the only reason to why we reached out to you to either cancel or book directly and pay by a payment link . This was not intended to scam you just so we are clear Judith Safaris is a professional company . we again apologize for any misunderstanding . Thank you , with Best regards.

I didn't know what to expect. It was a long walk through difficult terrain. We were encouraged to hire porters to carry our bags and help us along the more difficult spots. These porters were once the poachers in these jungles, now they support themselves and their families by helping us get to experience the wonder of these magnificent creatures. As we got close to our Gorilla family (The Agashya family) I started to feel electrified and giddy. Was I really going to spend an hour with Gorillas??? Our family was one of the largest with 21 members and 3 silverbacks. Gorillas do not kick out the alpha once he gets old. His sons, though stronger than him, respect his place in the family until death. We turned a corner and our amazing guide Roger warns us that the gorillas are close and then suddenyl I am 4 feet away from the giant alpha silverback.!!! I was initially shocked, how were we permitted to be so close???, other Gorillas were grazing only a few more feet away, I was certain we were going to be attacked but we were barely acknowledged. I am in awe of how tolerant and accepting these Gorillas are. We watched lovers flirt and a little chest-beating to show prowess, we watched children jump and play. We saw young ones fall out of trees and giant silverbacks lie on their backs and play with their feet. This was the experience of a lifetime. I cannot even begin to explain the feelings that this trip left me with or the warmth in my heart at being able to have this experience. I am ever greatful of the guides, guards and porters that all made this an epic day to remember.
