- K4717NIisabellam00Excelent.Keziah and all the women at the coffee tour were lovely, welcoming and heartwarming. They taught us with patience, love and respect.
- Amebucheli00Great experienceGreat experience you get to learn about all the process from the ground to the cup, you get to keep some coffee
- Photog20407200Very Comfortable CafeOur time there was short, but the coffee we enjoyed sitting on the patio was excellent. A worthy enterprise in support of women entrepreneurs to be supported.
- keiths78900A beautiful snapshot into coffee life, cultivation and processing in RwandaWe met our wonderful guide Patti at Question Coffee Cafe in Kigali where we were greeted with freshly brewed coffee and croissants. From there, we drove with our own car (although transport can be also organized by QC) to Kayonza city where we stopped to order lunch at the Women's Opportunity Centre. Then, we drove to the TUK Cooperative farm where we picked up Agnes, the cooperative's president. In this first stop, we were greeted by a group of lovely lady farmers who sang, danced and illustrated in detail the coffee cultivation process. Subsequently, we drove with Patti and Agnes to their washing station where we given an explanation of coffee processing as well as a tasting session. Finally, we drove back to Kayonza where we had a nice lunch. At the Opportunity Centre, there was also a souvenir shop with local handmade items. When we returned to Kigali, Question Coffee offered us a coffee gift and another delicious coffee! The whole experience was educational for coffee lovers but also very insightful in regard to the dedication and hard work of these proud Rwandan women. The drive itself is an experience, particularly the part from Kayonza to the coffee farm - you literally drive through innumerable banana plantations and pass by several small rural villages. We appreciated the human connection and we recommend this farm trek to anyone. Also well done to Question Coffee for organizing the activity in a professional and informative way!
- johndC9008DZ00Visit Rwanda and have a great coffee at Q’s store in Kigali. The perfect gift for home.Stopped in the Kigali store on way to airport Wednesday 2/16 to pick up a few bags for gifts. Had one of the best cappuccino’s in my life at Question. Wish I had known about their Coffee Masterclass before our last day. Just one more reason to return to Rwanda. Incredibly friendly and warm staff at Q Coffee. Rwanda is fabulous-hospitable people who are glad you are visiting, spectacular nature and wildlife. Visit as soon as you can! Q Coffee is also available in Kigali Airport gift shops
- FlossieCronje00Excellent CoffeeVisit Question Coffee for a lovely cappuccino, friendly people, a good variety and affordable prices
- Paula W00Beautiful Cafe! This is a really nicely laid out, beautiful cafe with fantastic coffee choices and both indoor and outdoor seating.
- NYCEricT00A great experience tasting and learningWe loved our experience smelling, tasting, and learning about coffee! We also loved how it’s women-run and operated, and the staff was just lovely. The caramel affogato was heavenly ;-)
- photosinpink00A wonderful day tripI am a huge coffee fan and this day trip helped me to learn a lot about the very long process that is required to fuel my mornings. The farm is about 2 hours outside Kigali, and I had a great conversation with the tour guide, Smayah, as we drove. She developed the tour and her story was inspiring. The coffee cherries are processed March through June, but I didn't feel like anything was missing for my visit in January. The tour includes a coffee or espresso before you leave and a 250g bag of beans when you finish (I bought more!) A great day, well worth the money.
- Horse91dancer00Great coffeeWe arrived after lunch and had a really lovely coffee in a great space. Very trendy and fun! Lots of foreigners enjoying themselves. I would go again!
- Laura M00My daily cappuccinoFantastic coffee in a lovely setting. Best coffee in Kigali? Perhaps. Lovely women working there and with a great mission.
- NATO201200Good Coffee & Croissants- Average Hot ChockHad a quick business meeting here. Great outdoor area to site. Coffee was on a scale of 4/5. Croissants where excellent. Didn’t opt for the bean to cup tour which was usd200. They need to improve the hot chocolate. I know it is not there speciality but mine tasted like some warm milk with a few cocoa sprinkles.
- Marsha M00Fun peopleWonderful place for coffee and conversation. Stop in for a coffee tasting session and buy coffee from the women coffee growers
- liv2luv00Great spot to enjoy coffee with a messageNot only is the story behind Question coffee one that resonated with me, the coffee itself is delicious, and the space is fabulous both on the larger patio overlooking the city and the smaller area adjacent to the shop itself. There is free Wifi and there always seems to be a positive quiet buzz among the guests here. Staff is extremely proud of their work and helpful in choosing menu items or the bags of coffee that's for sale. I will have to do a coffee tour on my next trip!
- 495karol00Strong and full-flavored!As soon as you arrive, you'll know that Question Coffee is turning the page in Kigali's coffee industry. The women on staff are all kind and knowledgeable, and they probably know more about coffee flavors than you. They offer various coffee gear, as well as a broad selection of bagged beans at a very (very) fair price. Take the master class to make your visit more fun and informative.

Patricia was the guide for our private group and she was so amazing. It was a really nice way to learn more about the coffee production process whilst supporting the female-driven initiative. Lastly, I really liked that we got to take a bag of our favourite coffee.

Question coffee is a game changer in coffee industry in Rwanda. As a Rwandan I had a chance to be part of coffee master class lead by Sumaya. This was one the best experience I have ever had in 2019. I was able to learn a lot on coffee making and tasting. The instructor was very friendly, experienced in coffee and really take her time to make sure that all the participants get the best experience. I will do this again and again.
