    Gorilla's in the mist
I did the one day tour to the Gorilla's in the Volcano National Park. It was a very long day but the drive out was super interesting with my guide who was very knowledgeable about Rwanda. I saw a family of 22 Gorilla's - it was amazing and a complete blessing to see these gracious animals in their own home.

3 day trip of a life time!
I went with Go Kigali on a 3 day personalised trip that included gorilla trekking. I cannot recommend them enough. The trip was meant to be in August 2020 and when it was cancelled due to COVID there was zero problem getting my deposit back. Their attention to detail, care and organising a trip that suited my interests went beyond what was expected. Muzamiru not only was in contact with me throughout the planning process but also was my driver and guide for the 3 days. Definitely using them again when I'm back in this incredible country.

    Fantastic Experience
Our company wanted to do a retreat after attending a conference in Kigali. Go Kigali Tours worked with me to create a fantastic experience for our team and within our budget. We had an excellent experience, from the planning stages through to the execution and airport drop-offs. Our guide, Desiree Izere, was informative, attentive, and flexible when we asked to change plans. Our group included world-traveled journalists and Desiree was able to answer questions and give us in-depth information. Our tour highlights were the milk bar during the Kigali City Tour, the gorgeous and serene Ruzizi Tented Lodge, Akagera National Park, and visiting the mountain gorillas. Thank you Go Kigali Tours – highly recommend.

    Perfect Safari, Great Staff
I needed to organise a corporate day out with some important clients, and this was the perfect trip. We were extremely well looked after by the Go Kigali team. They took care of everything for us - we did a safari drive and sunset cruise on the lake. All details were cared for, including G&Ts on the sunset cruise! Highly recommend for any future travelers, or a fun professional outing.

    Experience of a lifetime!
I had the most incredible time on the day safari tour to Akagera National Park! I saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, impalas, Buffalo, baboons, hippos, and much more! Eric was an excellent guide and knew just were to go in the park to see everything - in particular the elephants! Breakfast and lunch were great and we had a very experienced driver who knew exactly where to go. I went as a solo traveler and ended up with a private tour. It was an experience of a lifetime!

Amazing trip to Rwanda with Go Kigali / Further
We did a city tour with Desiree and the gorilla trek and 2 day Akagera safari with Eric. I cannot praise Go Kigali (Go Further) enough. Such an amazing tour operator with excellent guides. Xavi helped me plan my trip from the very beginning and gave very thoughtful responses to my many questions prior to our departure. Desiree and Eric were incredible, conscientious, thoughtful and fun to be around. They both took such amazing care of us and we knew we were in great hands from start to finish! We spent 3 days with Eric and I cannot recommend him enough and you can’t go wrong booking a trip with Go Kigali/ Further!!! I would not hesitate to contact them again for future trips and for sure would request Eric and Desiree!!! Alex was our driver and he was excellent and very safe. I’m a back seat driver but was very comfortable in Alex’s capable hands.

    Fascinating!
My husband and I came to Rwanda for the first time and of course, Akagera was a must! Our tour was curated by our wonderful guide, Eric and driver, Alex. We were impressed by Eric's care in understanding what our interests were and catering our tour accordingly. We were picked up on time at our Airbnb, provided with packed breakfast, water bottles and, of course, coffee stops along the way and later, lunch at the park. We not only had a spectacular tour of the park, but also, Eric was very open and informative about the communities we passed through, the history of the country and her people. We learned so much and were inspired by what the government of Rwanda is doing to improve the quality of life for all who live there. As Africans, we were proud to experience such a progressive nation and felt that there was much to learn from the Rwandan society as a whole. The park had a beautiful array of landscapes and topographical features and was surely a feast for the eyes. We learned so much about the animals' behaviours and characteristics. Akagera was a fascinating, educative and fun experience! Thank you to Eric and Alex for a memorable time.

    Incredible immersive experience in Rwanda!
Traveling on an immersive Rwanda tour with Connecting Growth Globally, Go Kigali (now Go Further) was our on-the-ground guide. The other reviews covered a lot of what to do, so I wanted to share here on how much I enjoyed our time with the team itself. Desi, Eric and Alex truly embraced the learning journey as much as we did, and were personable, positive, and willing to dig deep and talk with vulnerability and openness about the community, their journeys and dreams, and what’s next for Rwanda. They were also so kind to take the time out of their communities to allow us to experience umuganda with them on Mt Kigali. As someone who has spent 10+ years crisscrossing Africa with various outfits, Xavi, you’ve truly built a world-class team!

    Excellent Service
I booked Go Kigali Tours for a solo trip to Akagera National Park and they were excellent. The online booking process was smooth and I received detailed information. Pickup was scheduled for 5am from my hotel and they were on time. Special mention to my tour guide Eric and the driver Alex who were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable, kind and extremely professional. Overall, the trip was value for money and their service and offering were as advertised. I highly recommend this company.

    Safari Trip of a Lifetime
Professionalism from start to finish, we were informed and called to confirm pick up the day before. Bosco our Sarfari Guide was very knowledgeable and informed us of all the towns and sights we passed through on our 3 hour journey to the safari park. This trip is a once in a lifetime experience. Bosco was very patient with us and stopped to check if there were any animals hiding. We saw baboons, zebra, giraffe, antelope, hippos and elephant in the distance. As we left at 5am breakfast was provided by Go Kigali - 2 eggs, yoghurt, crossiant, orange, tree tomato and drink. Lunch was provided also chicken club sandwich, crisps, cake, tree tomato and drink, we were never hungry out thirsty. Thank you Bosco and Go Kigali for the best trip ever!!!!

    Fantastic Trip of Gorilla Trek
I had a day trip of Gorilla Trek. We hiked in the mountain and was very close to watch a Gorilla family. It was so unique and fantastic experience. As a single woman traveller, I felt safe and comfort in the trip, because the tour guide - Desiree is super friendly and considerate.

    Amazing experience!
We had a great experience on Go Kigali's one-day Akagera trip! Our guide was Bosco, who is very knowledgeable about the park, as he had worked there for 5 years. The most magical bits were seeing the giraffes' neck fight, the elephants bathing and a mommy rhino and her baby cross the road! Breakfast and lunch were taken care of, and all the toilets along the way were very clean. Also big thanks to Desiree and Eric who helped us book this trip very last minute, and who showed us the way to get the rapid COVID test.

Excellent safari with GoKigali! Highly recommend it!
We just came back from the safari with our tour guide Valens. We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed it. Valens was a great guide and he was really nice and helpful. Because of his tremendous effort we managed to see 4 animals of the big 5! Also a huge shoutout to the GoKigali team for making the safari possible. They did anything in their power to make the trip possible. I’d really recommend to go to the akagera national park with GoKigali. They arrange everything concerning breakfast, lunch etc. So no need to worry about anything the entire day.

The tour was excellent! I took a tour with a different company last year and Go Kigali surpassed that one by far. The break locations and lunch/snacks were excellent, the guide was super knowledgeable and the driver was very skilled. My only small complaint was that I wish there were more stops inside the part to get out and have a break but it's a large park and it took all day to go from south to north.

Hey! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the Akagera safari with Eric. Thank you for the feedback! Well noted that when possible we take some more stops throughout the day to let folks stretch their legs on the one day safaris. As you noted, part of that, is just due to the amount of ground we have to cover. More reason to book an overnight trip time permitting! Thanks for the 5-star review. Xavi

Go with Go Kigali Tours! We actually did all three of the tours offered by this company. The Kigali City Tour was a terrific overview and Desiree did a good job of showing us the capital. We visited a milk bar, tried several different fruits in the market (a few of which we had never heard of nor tasted before like the tree tomato), visited some street art murals, lunch at a local spot where we enjoyed lots of Rwandan dishes, and finished off at the Kigali Memorial. We also enjoyed the Akagera Safari tour, a long day where our guides Bosco and Alex made sure we saw so many animals in the park (hippos, giraffes, elephants, buffalo, zebras, baboons, warthogs, vervet monkeys, beautiful birds etc,and even a snoozing lion!). Bosco took some amazing photos for us using his binoculars when he saw we had only brought our iPhone. Of course the highlight of the trip to Rwanda was the gorilla trek. Since we made our home base at the downtown Marriott and didn't stay near the Volcanoes National Park it was so convenient that Go Kigali offered a day trip to visit the gorillas. They took care of permits and were so supportive when our luggage didn't arrive (including all our hiking gear!!) and our driver/guide Muzamiru arranged for us to rent boots and raincoats for the day and Xavi even lent us his personal backpack. Amazing customer service - always responded right away to all our emails and questions and concerns! We highly recommend this tour company!

Hey Stacey!! Hard to beat seeing a snoozing lion! That's nature doing our job for us. Great, great, great to read this 5-star review from you given that you ended up taking multiple tours with us. We have amazing guides on our team and glad you got to meet quite a few along your trip. We were happy to help in any way we can to make your trip memorable. Thanks for the strong words of encouragement and we hope to one day get to visit the islands of Hawaii. We've only heard amazing experiences. Xavi

Absolutely a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED way to explore Kigali in a short period of time! Kigali is a hilly destination, while taxi (or motorbikes if you are ok with it) is available, I found it quite pricey (USD 15+ each). And the key element of a city tour is not the building or scenery itself, but all the stories behind. My guide, Eric, is extremely knowledgeable and can talk about and share his personal views on all sorts of "random" questions we had - history, politics, economy, food, sports, mobile phones, etc. And he is very accommodative - made extra stop upon request, bought us street food to try, etc. Thanks a lot Eric! :)

The city tour of Kigali was well organised and very informative. We did not know much about Rwanda or its history before arriving however, our guide Eric was knowledgeable and educated us about this.
The tour provided a number of opportunities to try local cuisine and the food provided was amazing!
I would recommend Go Kigali tours to anyone interested in booking a Kigali city tour.

My husband and I were having our wedding in Kigali in June, and many of my family members and closest friends from abroad came to Rwanda for that. As we were very busy with the last minute wedding preparations, I had booked my family & friends (a group of 25 people) a full-day city tour with Go Kigali. In the morning, they were picked up from multiple locations and everything was on time and so well organised. Also, the prior communication with Go Kigali was smooth and timely. Everyone loved the tour and praised Desiree highly for making the day so fun and yet informative. Many also said that the lunch they had was the best food they had in Rwanda. For me and my husband, it was so lovely to know that our closest ones where in good hands. Can't really thank Go Kigali enough for this fantastic day and would totally recommend everyone to take the tour!

My husband and I just had the best guide and driver ever, and since we do a lot of traveling, we have booked lots of tour companies. Eric was our Go Kigali Tours guide and he was the most helpful, sociable and kind person. The airline lost my luggage the day before which meant I didn’t have appropriate footwear to hike to see the mountain gorillas, nor the recommended rain coat or even suntan lotion or mosquito spray. The airline had no idea if my luggage would be found so I asked Eric if during the city tour he could take us to some stores. He was so accommodating and also took care of getting us a SIM card. We can’t thank him enough.
The tour itself was great. The driver, who goes by the name No. 8 (because he is the eighth child in his family), negotiated the busy, narrow streets with care and waited patiently for us as we shopped.
We had booked a private tour so it could be customized. Highlights included the Mount Kigali viewpoint, the Question coffee shop (which buys its coffee beans from female farmers), and all the fabulous restaurant and food stops. We enjoyed a snack of the best samosas we have ever had and a lunch consisting of authentic Kigali food including a delicious green banana dish.
It was a great first day in Kigali after a terrible night of waiting at the baggage carousel for over an hour only to discover my luggage wasn’t on board the plane!

My father and I took this tour on 21 Jan 2023 and it was PHENOMENAL. Our guide, Desiree, displayed a true love for not only her country, but also her job. She was full of life, friendly and interacted with the locals, helping make the tour feel less "tourist" and more with the culture. Each spot we visited was wonderful and there was not a boring second. Our lunch was incredible, delicious and doesn't even begin to describe it, I would absolutely revisit the restaurant again. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kigali who would like to get a broad view of the city.

We only had a day to explore Kigali before our tour started so we booked and had Eric as our guide for the city tour and it was great! Eric is so accommodating, knowledgeable and passionate about showing us all the top places of Kigali. The stops were great and the food was great that we had.

Would recommend if you want to learn more about Kigali and see some of the top highlights!

Disappointing tour.
1. On the website it says 12 people max. There were 23 of us. Way too many to hear what the guide was saying in the market or on the bus
2. The first stop is a mural painted by a Belgian artist. Who cares?!
3. Lunch was good, but they say 'come hungry' and all you get before lunch (served at 1:30 PM) is a bit of milk
4. The memorial was closed because of a visit by the president of Congo Brazzaville. Fine, not gokigali's fault, but there was no plan B.
5. The tour description says there's a water taxi ride. There isn't. Our guide said they stopped offering that a while back...
6. The tour description says 'neighborhood walk'. There was no such thing.
7. We very quickly walked through a market, but it is worth noting that it wasn't THE market, the one all the sites/blogs mention: Kimironko
8. Our guide Eric was friendly, but at one point he stopped for a personal errand (leaving us sweating on the bus)!and he didn't take our names at the start of the tour, so people who only paid for half a day probably got a whole day.

Overall I was disappointed by the tour and did not gain much local knowledge (party because I couldn't always hear what Eric was saying). It is an expensive day and you do not get your money's worth. And forget buying anything at the gokigali shop. The prices are ridiculous!

Hi Claire, I’m really sorry to hear that this was your experience. It absolutely falls short. We’d be happy to welcome you on a free tour of this wonderful city, so please get in touch if you find yourself in Kigali again. Again, we're sorry. Unacceptable to fall short like this of the standards we hold for ourselves. Xavi

Desiree’ with Go Kigali is one of the best tour guides ever! We travel a lot and she did an excellent job of making our tour interesting, funny, and very informative. Every time our group asked a question (and we asked a lot) she was able to instantly answer it and gave a lot of background with her answer. Go Kigali has an office in the Marriott hotel too which makes them an easy choice when staying in Kigali. Desiree even works there too and was very informative when we were trying to decided which tours to do. If you’re visiting Kigali definitely book with Go Kigali and ask for Desiree.
