About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mandyb2740 contributionsDon't travel with Nali SafarisThis is not a genuine travel company. We booked with them from Australia (accommodation, transfers and guides) and when we arrived in Namibia they were nowhere to be seen. We called the owner, Pendy, when our transfer didn't turn up on the first day. He wanted us to pay again because he no longer had the $7000 Australian we sent him. He first told us that the tour guide contracted a gastro from his last tour and that we need to transfer ourselves. When we said that we had already paid him he said that he no longer had the money that we had already paid. Please be aware.Written January 9, 2025
- markwO1887TA0 contributionsBeware of Nali SafarisMy daughter inlaw booked a private tour with Nali Safaris from Australia for 6 days in Namibia. The cost was close to $7000. Unfortunately our dream holiday was not to be. Nali Safaris did not provide anything they promised. There was no tour guide, no tours and no hotels booked. When we arrived in Windhoek we had to book all over again. Pendy (company director) took our money and never provided any refund. I am more than happy to forward my police report, made in Windhoek for verification of my account of things.Written November 3, 2024
- Peter S0 contributionsBad roads make for terrible game viewing experienceThe roads in Etosha National Park are a disgrace, to put it bluntly. The potholes, corrugation makes driving an ordeal rather than an enjoyable part of a safari. With the number of tourists visiting Etosha every year, you’d think the government would prioritize maintaining the roads to ensure a better experience for both locals and international travelers. Yet, nothing seems to change. It’s not just an inconvenience—it’s a hazard. The poor road conditions damage vehicles, delay travel times, and can even put people’s safety at risk. The long stretches of poorly maintained gravel roads leave you wondering whether the government is paying any attention at all. And with the revenue that Etosha brings in, it’s baffling why the roads remain in such terrible shape. The real shame is that Etosha is one of Namibia’s crown jewels, a haven for wildlife and one of the top destinations in Africa. Visitors come to see lions, elephants, and rhinos, not to battle the road conditions. And yet, the neglect is glaring. The government should be embarrassed, but it seems they’ve grown complacent, content to let things fall apart. After all that stress behind the wheel, I can’t think of anything better than cracking open a cold Radler. It’s the perfect way to unwind after concentrating for hours on those treacherous roads. Here’s hoping someone in power decides to take action—though, let’s be honest, I won’t hold my breath.Written October 6, 2024

- Adventurer1669880 contributionsDO NOT BOOK! WORST TOUR EXPERIENCEDo not book with Nali Safaris. Absolutely not worth the money, bad bad experience. As part of our honeymoon, me and my husband wanted to visit Namibia, so we booked the 5 days tour. After asking me to pay for everything in advance in March, Mr Pendy Isaka Mandule, the owner, had completely forgotten about me. I got no news after I paid in March, contacted Mr Mandule two weeks before the start of the tour to get the itinerary and names of hotels etc. which I was not given until the day of the tour. (He also hung up on us when we called him in panic as I needed the itinerary for my visa on arrival) On top of this, the first hotel was not booked for the correct dates, the second hotel changed twice after the start of the tour for one which was worse than what was promised. The tour guide allocated to us was not part of the company, but a freelancer. I don’t usually write reviews, but we felt frustrated and mad so many times during our week in Namibia, so I wanted to warn people.Written October 6, 2023
- Yeap C0 contributionsAmazing 6 days tour around NamibiaNali Safaris offered a very competitive price for the private tour with lodge accommodation. I did a 6 days Etosha-Swakopmund-Sossusvlei with them & I've enjoyed every moment of it. Verikumba is a very professional driver & guide. He drove safely with patience despite the road conditions in most part of Namibia is very bad. He answered most of my questions about Namibia made me have deeper understanding of his country. Pendy tailored my booking well based on my suit & even drove me to the airport despite a very last minute request by myself. 物超所值的一个团!Written September 2, 2023

- lisamJ1748EG0 contributionsHighly recommend Nali Safaris and Namibia!!I had the most amazing trip to Namibia, thanks to Nali Safaris! I had a very aggressive itinerary I wanted to follow, as I had a very short amount of time to experience the whole country (4 days total). My driver Pendy graciously agreed to take me from Windhoek to Cape Cross to see the seal reserve, then to Walvis Bay to see the flamingos (through Swakopmund and the sand dunes) — all in one day. The next day he drove me to Etosha National Park, where I stayed at Okaukuejo Camp for 1.5 days. He then drove me back to Windhoek on the last day. I felt like I saw so much in such a short amount of time, thanks to Pendy. Namibia is a beautiful country with so much to offer — not enough people know about it!! The watering hole at Okaukuejo is so unique and better than safari because all the animals come right up to the watering hole all day long. The countryside is so vast and varied — there is a desert/sand dunes on one side and beach/ocean on the other! Highly recommend Nali Safaris and Namibia in general — you won’t regret it!!Written November 12, 2022
- LFCKOPITE4EVER0 contributionsTop Notch excursions company!I travelled with the Nali Safaris team for 7 full days taking in the Mariental area, a Cheetah walk, Nauklaft-Namib NP ie. Sossusvlei, Big Daddy, Deadlvei, Walvis Bay area Pelican Point, Sandwich Harbour & dunes drive, Swakopmund, a section of the Skeleton Coast and Etosha NP. Wow!!! I elected to not self-drive the 2600 kms and with Denis at helm of the newish 4x4 I experienced much in slower and greater detail as we traversed plenty. Lodging was good and even great to boot. Thanks Isaac and Denis for the treats shared on road, that Namibia is!Written September 14, 2022
- janerN7193YZ0 contributions17 day solo tour Namibia with the best company and your guide17 day solo tour Namibia with the best company and guide After a ton of research and seeking quotes, I decided to use Nali Safaris for my trip to Namibia. I have absolutely no regrets. Further research told me Pendy was the man to have a my guide and he certainly was. Pendy went above and beyond with his service as a guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, flexible and accommodating. I provided the company with the places I wanted even some of the accommodation I had researched and Nali safaris planned me the perfect tour for the 17 days I had available. Also at the best price out of numerous quotes I got. Nali safaris was also very flexible in helping me design this trip to include all the highlights Namibia has to offer including numerous cultural experiences, waterfall, sand dunes, historical experiences, ghost town, rock paintings, tourist attractions and the most amazing ever changing vast beautiful landscapes, as I requested. Namibia is a true gem and definitely worth visiting. Pendy met me at the airport and stayed with me throughout my trip. He was a true gentleman and seriously the perfect guide. I can not recommend Pendy and Nali Safaris more. If you want the perfect tour of Namibia then you can't go wrongWritten August 5, 2022
- Christopher W0 contributions3-day trip to Namib-DesertBefore we found Nali Safaris we were looking for a tour company which offers excursions for the short time period of three days. It turned out that they had the perfect offer for us, so we could finish off our trip to Namibia with a unforgettable stay in the Namib desert. The tour included visiting the dunes Dune 45 and Big Daddy Dune, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon. The company was very reliable and picked us up from our hotel at the arranged time. At our request they even organized an appointment for a PCR-test that we needed for our next destination. Everything was organized very well and worked out as planned before. The car was modern and clean and our guide Isa always made an afford to make us feel comfortable. The lodge we stayed in for two nights extended our expectations. The included food and the pleasant service team convinced us and we would have loved to stay longer. Regarding the luxurious lodge the price was reasonable. Isa had good knowledge and the best insider tips. He even drove with us early in the morning to the desert, so we could climb Dune 45 with the sunrise next to us. Even for the short time the trip was worth it and you shouldn't miss this place when you are travelling to Namibia. And if you are looking for a tour company Nali Safaris is definitely the right choice!Written December 15, 2021

- clairehazan20210 contributionsIncredible Experience !!My sister and I went on this adventure in 2014 and had an amazing experience. We were a group of about 10 adults, mostly visiting from the US and Canada. The highlight of the trip was visiting Etosha National Park and seeing the animals, but the whole trip was unforgettable with so many other special experiences along the way. Even some of the hotels we stayed at and places we stopped for lunch were special experiences on their own. Pendy, our guide, is a local of Namibia and is full of knowledge about the area and animals. He is fun and friendly, and works hard to give his group a special experience. He hand picked many special places to stop and was able to give us options and set us up with activities that would be suited to our interests. One time we had a free afternoon in Swakopmund and my sister and I took a boat trip where we met Pelicans and Cape Fur Seals, while another family in our group went for a plane ride. Some special moments in our trip were staying in Etosha and both going on safari drives and watching the animals from viewing areas at the resort, visiting the picturesque Sossusvlei and sand dunes, and visiting the Skeleton Coast and Swakopmund. Pendy gave us an unforgettable experience and my sister and I were so grateful to have this trip.Written July 21, 2021
