We booked a trip to Casela World of Adventures via Viator on Trip Advisor and paid £465 for the trip. Communication was initially good with Robeen sending us our timings for the day. On the day, our taxi turned up (late) and spent at least 10 minutes of the journey driving one handed whilst on his phone. I appreciate that rules are different in different countries but this is so unnerving for UK travellers where this would be illegal in a car, let alone a minibus carrying passengers. When we got to Casela, we put our lunch baguettes into our bags and walked to Reception only to be told by staff that you can't take food into the Park. What was worse was that my sandals weren't suitable for the ziplining part of the day, shoes had to be covered. The taxi driver had seen my shoes when he collected us, and watched us decanting our lunches, but said nothing. It would have taken 2 minutes for me to go back to the room and change if he'd queried them. It was all really unhelpful - I was nearly crying and when I said we were with Relax Max Tours she just rolled her eyes. We got Robeen on the phone about the shoes he said this was under additional info on TripAdvisor but I'd not seen it. He said he would arrange something else for me but this never happened. I was heartbroken as I was really looking forward to the ziplining. At the end of the day the driver arranged to meet us at 4pm by the stone lion outside the main reception - this was a super hot meeting point with no shade and we were completely boiling and hungry. All in all I felt they just took our money, made quick bookings for the extras and supplied a random taxi driver.

2.03.25 on the next (already third! ;-)) once visited this beautiful park! We especially want to note the individual safari tour with the beautiful Fabrice guide! This man is passionate about his work and makes the journey interesting and grasping perfectly! I received multi -emotions of the inversely unexpected options, like feeding the rhino !!!, ostriches and zebras! Not only children, but adults were delighted !!! Thank you, Fabrice, huge !!! Amazing and unique adventure. We added the rhino feeding and the eco rider safari and had the pleasure of meeting Fabrice, Cendrine, and Norbert. They each cared for us as if we were someone special or VIP - we are not. We learned, we laughed about young rhino love, we cried about the giraffe that recently passed while we mourned for his wife and felt joy for her pregnancy and new friends, and we did things we never expected to experience. This is a must do; and if you go say hi to our friends.

Horse riding on the beach was a great experience for us, which we enjoyed very much. Kingsley, our guide, was very helpful and made our trip an amazing event.

This place explains the entire journey of sugar and its making process. One can also experience rum, honey and sugar tasting in this place. It is a part of the north island trip in mauritius. It is worth an experience.

Well worth the visit, walking with the lions was amazing, safari was good, just ashame there was no giraffes as advertised.

The Casela world of adventures is 5/5 day out! Fantastic for all ages, I went with my partner and 3YO. But amazing for couples, families with older children too. As you walk around the park there is an opportunity to pay for extra things to do such as walk with the lions, lion feeding, safari, drive through with the lions and tigers, giraffe feeding and more! I recommend booking these in advance incase there’s no space when you’re there. The staff there are informative and friendly, telling you lots about the animals and you can really see how much they care. I loved the Giant tortoises! Only reason for the 4/5 as the tour guide/driver did not turn up to collect us. Instead of informing me- I had to ring, they told me to get a taxi, we had to quickly sort this through the hotel and wait for confirmation that they would refund this. It took a lot of faffing about. The whole reason I booked this was for the ease of being collected and dropped back off without having to worry about navigating public transport. Also- the taxi drivers in Mauritius are dangerous (texting while driving, dangerously overtaking etc) something I really wanted to avoid. I was then told I would have to wait a long time for a refund! Luckily we didn’t miss our slot and we had a fantastic day!

Hello! We spend magnificent time in Casela feeding rhinos with Fabrice. He is very interested in his job and animals, told us a lot of information about rhinos.

Most of the previous reviews you read here on trip advisor are about Casela and not about the transportation service that Viator provides. Casela was fantastic, Viator was not. My review is about Viator. I should have followed my hotel’s advice and booked through Casela’s website directly and hired a taxi myself. It would have saved me $30 USD and some stress. I booked Viator’s transport service 3 days in advance. They emailed me quickly confirming my pickup time at my Port Louis hotel would be at 07:30, and they would soon notify me of my Casela safari time. They never notified me of my safari time. On the morning of my Casela adventure, I had to skip my prepaid hotel breakfast to meet my driver, Soobiraj, at 07:30. He was a punctual and respectable guy and provided his services accordingly. But why was my pickup time so early? Was it to consider busy traffic? It wasn’t necessary. Soobiraj drove me safely, and we arrived at Casela at 8:15. For 45 minutes we stood around and watched the Casela staff arrive to open the park at 09:00. That’s 45 minutes I could have spent eating breakfast or sleeping in. Thankfully Soobiraj stayed to make sure I was admitted into the park. At 09:00, I was the first person in line to enter, but Casela had no record of my admission or safari reservation despite my prepaid vouchers provided by Viator. (This would explain why I never received safari confirmation beforehand). Soobiraj and park staff worked through Viator’s mistakes and I was provided my tickets and entry at 09:15. My safari time was scheduled for 09:30, which meant I had to hurry through the park to attend my safari. Before we parted ways, Soobiraj said he would wait for me in the parking lot to drive me back to Port Louis at 12:00. In total, I was provided 2 hours and 45 minutes to rush through my safari tour, roller coaster ride, and the Casela animal exhibits, which was an inadequate amount of time. Please, dear readers, learn from my misfortune and don’t book transport service from Viator to Casela. Casela is a wonderful place when not rushed or stressed by a sloppy third party transport service. You will have more freedom and flexibility of time without Viator. The one star rating I am forced to score is for Soobiraj, not Viator. Thank you sir.

Untill a month ago we did cooperate with SEGA Tours & Cruises Ltd so we can sell roundtrips in The Netherlands. Clients who would like to check in did get the message the hotel wasn't payed (we payed it already to Sega a long time before). So we had to pay the hotel again. We had to pay multiple reservations double and have a loss for about 7.5K Euro. The owner of Sega Tours, Vicash Purryag, made many appointments (on mail and phone) to pay back the total refund to us. But today, after 1,5 month, he didn't fullfill his appointments.

I really regret inviting my family to come have fun at Splash N Fun. To be sure where I’m going, I take the time to send them a message by messenger. So I had the menu, the closing and opening time and so on. But when we arrived, we could understand that this park needed a good refreshment. Trailing toilet bulbs, broken spot in the pool, lack of paint, old kitchen, cellars and very old table among others. Even the letter R is missing in the main entrance. At noon, everyone starts to get hungry. As I already had the menu with me by messenger. I had burgers, paninis, pizzas, and my parents wanted grills. I went around the food court with my dad. I ask a lady at the burger&paninis place. I said:-Hello, I know we are not open yet, but can I see your menu? I will never forget that. This woman is dragging her feet just to return a chart with the menu. My father clearly saw I had distub the lady. what a shame and what a service! We also learned that on that day you did not have a grilled food. My father was very upset. Finally, we had pizzas, burgers and paninis. We had no choice. Not even dessert (no popcorn, no glaçon rapé, no candy floss) or no sparkling water, no pearona, no appletiser or no grappetiser, as mentioned on the menu. I think they count the fries before they give it away. Very few fries as a service and was absolutely not crispy at all. Paninis were pre-made and just heat, shame ! After that we decided to do more activities but the 5D cinema was closed and did not mention when I asked. Time flies, I make sure I came when it opened and I make sure to leave a declared end, time mentioned on the web and in Messenger. This means that all attractions are closed at 4:30 pm and the park closes at 5:00 pm. We came with a lot of children and a baby. At 4:30 p.m., we stopped the activities and began to prepare. My sister was serving prenatal drinks for the infant. My parents were preparing the children for transportation. A security guard came and said it was time to go in front of my whole family. I was very upset. I take everything and I don’t even let my sister finish with the baby glass and we proceed to the exit. Once in the car park, before 5pm, we finish what we were doing. (drying children, changing clothes, finishing the baby drink, etc.) I was very, very, very angry. I remember paying for my tickets until 5pm, not 4:30am. Many acvities are closed. We came with a lot of money. Since December on tripadvisor, they said they could expand the menu. Whatever you write is useless. A Rowina will answer you, but she won’t be interested at all. When I read the comments, look at the date and look at the improvement. There is absolutely no change. The food grilled is also mentioned. So they lied to me. So, please. Don’t go there. I would like to be contacted to reimburse me. I had to apologize to my sister and my parents. I told them I didn’t know the service. I'd like them to wear a badge so I can report them, including this security. Better keep this close !!!

Such a huge place with so many informations! It could take the whole day for you to read and explore every corner of the sugar museum. We took the audio guide which is an app that you download via your phone. It leads you throught museum points explaining about Mauritius history, start od sugar production and impact on the social life. At the end od the tour you have a shop where you can taste whole bunch of different kinds of sugar and rum. Enjoy! P.S. it is a perfect activity to do when its a rainy day
