- Neshoum0 contributionsWould recommendGreat hike and Enri was an amazing guide who was patient and added a lot of information about the destination. The hike is not difficult, but steep. Climbing with both hands is necessary at the final half of the hike.Written September 10, 2024
- 248phillippas0 contributionsBeautifulThis was an amazing trip to see the waterfalls. Our guide Henri was brilliant, carefully guiding us to each waterfall, we loved swimming in the lake and dipping our feet in the water for a fish spa. The photos really don’t capture the absolute beauty of the waterfalls and we would absolutely recommend this trip. Would recommend wearing some decent trainers or walking boots as the terrain is quite uneven and you need a reasonable level of fitness as there are some steep parts to get to the waterfalls - but definitely worth the effort when you see the waterfalls.Written September 8, 2024

- Wanderer069796788750 contributionsBest view over the south of Mauritius 😍Today we did the fantastic hike to the summit of Morne Brabant. The view is fantastic, you can see so many things that look even more beautiful from above. Our guide on this tour was Henri, he explained a lot, was always helpful and generally led the trip really well. It took us about four hours, but there are plenty of breaks. Make sure you wear the right shoes and have enough water with you. I can only recommend this hike to anyone on holiday in Mauritius.Written September 3, 2024

Giles was the group leader and he was not only very knowledgable about Mauritius and the local wildlife but a very kind and gentle individual. - 536blankan0 contributionsWe highly recommend! (Fred‘s the best)We had a lovely sundown kayak tour with Fred! His knowledge about Mauritian wildlife is very impressive and he was the perfect tour guide. We even got a drink of our choice to have an enjoyable moment when the sun set. Thank you Fred, for this amazing experience, you are an inspirational person 🫶🏻Written September 1, 2024
- 382maximd0 contributionsMust do!Wow what an experience. They told us it would be a tough climb and that it wasn’t easy. Get well prepared and bring some water. Fabrice our guide was amazing, told us about the history and nature around the island and gave advice how to climb as a crab or do a monkey walk, funny but meaningful. Getting to the top gave an amazing experience with the best views we ever experienced. Mauritius is it, just WOW! Thanks for this wonderful experience, great adventure and amazing view over the island! Fabrice, you gave it the final touch for a never to forgot hike! ThanksWritten September 1, 2024
- reneechow0 contributionsBreathtaking views from the top of The Morne BrabantI went with my 3 older daughters up Le Morne Brabant with our guide Fabrice. What a treat for the body and eyes! The climb wasn’t too technical and we took good breaks as we ascended. The entire trip took about 4 hours and combined some trails and rock scrambling. Fabrice was friendly and knowledgeable and was careful to look out for everyone in our group of 12. The views from the top of the Morne Brabant are not to be missed! You can see the utter beauty of Mauritius, South and West from the top. It was exhilarating and a real highlight of our trip. Thank you Yanature and Merci Fabrice!Written September 1, 2024
- Chris T0 contributionsWell worth the effort for the stunning viewsThe hike was much tougher than expected but Fred expertly guided us down the slippery and rocky paths to the stunning cascades. The views were amazing, the waterfalls magical and it was worth the effort! Highly recommendedWritten August 31, 2024
- JeremyTDUC0 contributionsA superb accessible hike with outstanding guide! An amazing hike, accessible to all, giving superb view over the Mauritius landscape. Frederick was an outstanding guide, both for English and French speaker in our group, taking the time to accommodate our needs, pace and many questions we had. I highly recommend this activity to anyone without hesitation. Ps : we also had a bonus about discovering meditation and self control at the end of the journey! JeremyWritten August 29, 2024
- Expedition6690130 contributionsPicture perfect viewsThe rewards of the views along route especially at the top were well worth the hiking effort. As a family of 4 with our 2 children (12 and 14 yrs old) having no hiking experience we were guided up in a group led by the excellent Fred. We met at a site a few minutes drive away from the start of the route. Which is on the beach popular with kite surfers at the base of the walk. The hike consisted of two sections. The lower being steepish paths benefiting from plenty of shade opportunities from the sun if preferred. The higher section was more of a challenge requiring some scrambling particularly up the “the wall”. There was the opportunity to stay at the top of the lower section whilst the rest of the group tackled the more challenging 2nd part to the top. Indeed a few of the adults in our group did just that, the group reunited on the way down. All the children in the group made it to the top. Our guide, Fred, was amiable and enthusiastic leading a very enjoyable 4hrs of hiking. Managing the group brilliantly he gave us the right blend of hiking and breaks for rest, view admiration and to hear informative local interest, flora and fauna insights. He guided us well over the trickier parts of the route. Highly recommended.Written August 27, 2024

If you're looking for an early morning getaway, to enjoy the magical sunrise and stunning scenery of the Mauritian west coast - this is the trip for you! We had a fantastic morning trip exploring the bay and river of Tamarin and experienced the peaceful presence of the dolphins 🐬🌴 no better way to start the day! Thanks to Yan for this special experience for my birthday - and to their team for the seamless arrangements!

Our tour guide Fabrice was very friendly and knowledgable. He was also very transparent about the plan and how the dolphins aren’t always present and he proposed a plan if they weren’t. He clearly explained how to use the kayak and keep safe on it. My partner and I had a great time, although we didn’t get to see dolphins as they were in a different area, but instead we canoed up the river and saw some wildlife and it was very tranquil. Fabrice also took photos of us and sent them to us after which was very kind. I think my partner probably preferred looking out for the native birds than meeting dolphins. Overall it was lovely, I would absolutely recommend and I will probably do again during my stay.

Yan was a great guide, he told us a bit about the island and its history, showed us the river, and led us to see the dolphins (this is of course not guaranteed but we had this chance).
There is no comparing this to a speedboat tour we did to see the dolphins, as the latter was pretty much just a wild chase as opposed to the peaceful kayaking encounter.
Definitely recommended!

Yan was the perfect guide and the kayak-trip with the dolphins was one of the best experiences I had in Mauritius. Eventhough we didn‘t do lots of kayaking befor, it was easy to keep up with the group due to Yans good explanations. Would definately recommend the tour!

We had perfect weather when we went for this activity at sunrise. Our guide was straight forward, we didn't waste any time. After a quick instruction we started in the ocean, we have seen 2 groups of dolphins which was wonderful experience. Kayaking in the ocean was absolutely a wonderful time (about 1 h). Then we headed to the Black River, wich was more of a relaxation after the ocean, so calm and quiet ride, observing monkeys on the trees at the last part of the trip. 100% recommended.

Although we didn't get to see any dolphins that day, we had a great time with Fabrice, our guide for the day! Among other things, he introduced us to the Mauritian mangroves. It was a great experience and we'll definitely be coming back to Yanature to discover other parts of the island. They're a great team, passionate and very professional, and you can go with them with your eyes closed. We loved our 3 excursions with them!

This was our 3rd tour with Yanature and it was AMAZING! We just decided a day earlier that we would like to try this and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Very eco way of seeing dolphins while kayaking and being surrounded by mountains. Our guide Jeremie was awesome and even though we never did kayaking before we managed well! :) Recommend 100%!

I was so thrilled this morning knowing that my friends and I were going on a kayak tour with Dolphins. What encouraged me the most, is that Yan ( the guide), respects the nature. Watching the Dolphins in their natural habitat in a kayak was such a relaxing and soothing experience. I also encourage everyone to respect the Dolphins habitat and avoid taking boats please. Watching the sunrise in Mauritius, is an absolute must-see. Enjoy yours in the future 😊

Amazing opportunity to see the sunrise over the mountains and bay. A quiet paddle out into the bay rewarded by a pod of spinner dolphins joining us. Then a leisurely guided kayak into the river for a lovely traditional breakfast of fruit, badger and pancakes (all vegetarian) with hot tea. Our guide Mel was friendly and knowledgable…well worth the early start. The facilities were also good, lifejackets, kayaks, a locked office for our things and a hot shower afterwards.

I would like to book the 2 hour kayaking but saw one of the requirements is to be able to swim, I have kayaked many time in mangroves, lakes & dams & haven’t had any issues, however I can not swim. Is it possible to still book even if one can not swim as usually we are given life jackets for safety,
Thank you
