- vantrappenceline00Overnight with Family & Sperm WhalesJust magnificent experience with our kids! Starting at Sunset with Dolphins and some wine. Fabulous BBQ on the team and a restful overnight. Waking up with the question to go left to see more dolphins or go right to see sperm whales! The decision was easily made... The Crew was just great and so friendly. We had an amazing sunny day while it was raining on land. So lucky! A must do!!!!
- captainchaosandmaddi00Much Wasting of TimeThe full day Catamaran Cruise was booked through the JPH rep at La Pirogue. It was disappointing. We boarded via tender from Black River, rather than direct onto the vessel. The whole trip did not travel very far, and the stops were over-long, beginning with the stop to see the dolphins just off the mouth of the river, then on to snorkelling in an area which was no more than satisfactory. We travelled a little further before mooring for lunch. This was quite an acceptable meal. We were then ferried in relays to see the famous rock and to be dropped off on a shore where here were no attractions other than the usual cheap souvenir and textiles stalls found anywhere in Mauritius. Personally I don't regard shopping as a legitimate part of a sea cruise. We remained moored there for a very long time, and I had the impression we were simply elongating the day to save fuel! Nothing much, therefore, to write home about!
- Family B00Magical Catamaran CruiseWe booked two trips with JPH Charters through Kristelle at La Pirogue, and they did not disappoint. The Dolphin trip was awesome despite the fact that I'm not a strong swimmer the crew were fabulous (10.10.2022) with equipment and very patient. Saw Bottle Nose and Spinner Dolphins really great. The Catamaran Trip is a must again the crew if I could only remember their names on 13.10.2022 were fabulous, sail up relax on deck, view dolphins, snorkel in turquoise seas land a Island for short stay on golden sands. Waited upon hand and foot plentiful drink served and the BBQ prepared on the boat was delicious, the Dolphin Fish (not real dolphin!) was cooked to perfection and so fresh it melted in the mouth, overall a fantastic experience wouldn't hesitate to book again.
- TerryAbby00AwesomeBooked this for my wife’s birthday, and we loved every second. The Katermeran was immaculate and our two crew (Koran and Albert) were skilled and courteous throughout. The 6 hours involved chasing wild dolphins, sailing, snorkelling, a visit to Crystal Rock, lunch (BBQ on board) and sun bathing! Outstanding.
- hapuliukko00Excellent full day family cruise on catamaranWe booked a day trip on catamaran through Lionel on Sugar Beach resort. We had it all; the cruise, the dolphins, snorkeling, Crystal Rock and Benitiers. Lionel even arranged a possibility for our son to do some fishing on catamaran and he caught a barracuda! The crew of the ship - Albert and Michael - were super nice and made a great seafood barbecue for us. At times the winds got a bit strong but they managed the boat perfectly. As our sons put it "The best day ever!".
- Pow W00Incredible day out!We were staying at Sugar beach.JPH had a small stand by the main restaurant .There was a representative there called 'Lionel' he was extremely knowledgeable & answered every question we asked him about the day trip & was extremely professional & courteous even when he had a queue of 14 people waiting to see him! The price we paid for the day trip on the catamaran (Dolphins.snorkeling .Benitiers)was certainly reasonable with a delicious bbq & transfers from resort too.My teenagers loved it! I certainly would recommend JPH charters it was an amazing day out!
- alexT359OT002 trips, wonderful memories. We were staying at Sugar Beach, Mauritius, and i had a couple of trips with JPH. The first was a half day big game fishing. The boat was superb, brand new and had all the amenities. sadly the fish weren't biting, which isn't the crew's fault although i did hope for some jigging for Trevally, wahoo etc if we were unsuccessful on the troll, but that didn't happen. I did go on another fishing trip with the 'locals' which resulted in 2 skipjack and a 50lb yellowfin. To be fair the 'locals' really, really tried to get a fish, and didn't want to quit even though my young son was being very ill over the side of the boat!! The second trip was the dolphin/snorkelling/crystal island excursion, and it was superb. the boat captain went out of his way to accommodate us, he seemed to sense where the dolphins would be, and he even brought some bait to attract the reef fish then the kids were snorkeling. He made sure our trip was excellent, and it really was. In summary, i would suggest that JPH are brilliant at the 'tourist' excursions, but if you really, really want to catch a fish, talk to the locals on the beach who are cheaper, and are 100% fishermen. This is in no way a poor review of JPH, who were at all times friendly, professional, and have great facilities and boats.
- alexandercT1285ML00Awesome Trip! The crew is really kind, hospitale and professionalTo keep it short: It was a stunning trip. My girlfriend and I have felt the whole time well and the crew has done an awesome job. They have been really kind and hospitable. We have been welcomed with drinks a short introduction of the crew and a summary of the day. The bbq for lunch was delicious and they had more than enough for everyone. We are really glad that we booked with JPH and would do it anytime again.
- Darren C00Excellent full day cruise swimming with dolphinsWe had a excellent day on a catamaran. We had a private trip just 2 crew and 4 of us. The boat could take around 12 seated under cover. Lots of room on the front of the boat in the sun. A big spacious toilet with room to get changed. Along with an outdoor shower after you have been swimming. The boat had a fridge, cooker and bbq. The fridge was stocked with soft drinks. We bought our own cool box with drinks too. We started off early at 07:00 looking for dolphins we then got to jump in and swim along with them I got some amazing video and photos of them. We then went for some snorkelling on a reef where there were thousands of fish. We sailed along to Benitiers island where we stopped off for more snorkelling at the crystal rock and visit to the island. The crew were really good finding the dolphins and then jumping in with us to help point us in the right direction.
- Lennard F00Jevin Volcan Catamarans highly recommendedVolcan were incredible! We had a large family group of 10 people, with two over the age of 80 and one disabled person. The crew were patient and fantastic in assisting them. They brought extra crew to help and extra small boats for transfers. They even helped the disabled person snorkel for the first time. The barbecue was delicious and , with plenty lobsters, tuna, prawns, chicken, salads, garlic bread and lots to drink. Saw dolphins, crystal rock and great snorkelling reefs. Clean large catamaran with delightful crew
- stuartbF8640RK00Great DayGeraldine organised everything for us before our visit and we had fishing 2 trips. The guys on the boat were brilliant, working really hard to make the day fun and catch some fish. Caught some tuna and lost a marlin and really enjoyed every minute.
- 13Lindsey00Unforgettable experience 5***4 of us hired Madiana 2 for a day cruise with transfers from/ to our hotel on the East Coast. The Catamaran itself is spotless, we literally had the best day ever, far exceeding our expectations. The crew, Captain Jeremy and Vikash (x2) couldn't have been better, they had just the right amount of interaction with us. We saw both bottlenose and spinner dolphins first thing which was an amazing experience then we cruised towards Ile aux Bénetiers and Crystal Rock. We had the Lobster bbq along with unlimited alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks and there was WiFi on the catamaran so we could play our own music, it was perfect in every way and the food was delicious!! Do it, you won't regret it. I would not hesitate doing this trip again and happily recommend it to others.
- ClausHviid00Catching 500 lbs Blue marlin with my sons - truly amazingWe went for a full-day fishing charter with the hope of catching a blue marlin. Quite ambitious plan after trying without luck last year for 4 ful dayz at the Azores. After 2 hous of fishing a blue marlin approached the bait and we had a tremendous strike. However, the marlin just took 10-20 meters of line before it went off. We were quite thrilled but also a bit disappointed. A few hours later we were catching lots and lots of stribed tuna - and the kids were having great fun. Suddenly, the big wheel started "scratching" and something big took all the 800 m of line. At little more than an hour later, we saw the 500 lbs marlin just next to the boat. A truely amazing experince which I felt in my body for the next 3 days. Our best fishing experience ever - and we have actually been doing this all other the world for many years. Thanks to the crew, Francis and Christian, we are already planing our trip back next year. Can't wait!
- skjerp00An amazing day!Our expectations were modest when booking this trip, not knowing at all what to expect besides the reviews we read online. It turned out to be wonderful from start to finish. We were 12 passengers and 4 crew onboard the catamaran, plenty of space and not at all crowded. We cruised out to sea, where we suddenly found ourselves surrounded by numerous dolphins, a spectacular view. We went on to sail to a coral reef where we snorkeled amidst hundreds of colourful small fish, whom we fed with small pieces of bread. After that we were served a lovely lunch with grilled fish, sausage, chicken and scampi, while sailing on to our final stop by the volcanic rock and the small island of Benitiers where we had a stroll on the beach. The crew were fantastic, always attentive and kind, polite and helpful. There was plenty of drinks and small snacks as well. We would absolutely recommend everyone to go on this trip, it is the most memorable day from our stay here in Mauritius.
- raihattingh00Private catamaran cruiseWe chartered the Madiana 3 for a private catamaran cruise on the 17th of December for 6 adults. The booking process was done via email and the responses from JPH Charters were almost immediate, friendly and helpful. JPH Charters also arranged a transfer from the east coast of the island for us which was on time and the bus was clean and comfortable. We were welcomed on arrival by the staff and after formalities taken to the boat. The catamaran was in pristine condition. The crew were friendly and professional. We were immediately offered drinks as soon as we had left the dock and cruised in search of the dolphins. It took a little while, but we caught up with the dolphins which was a fantastic experience. After the dolphins we went to a great snorkelling spot. We were never rushed to get back to the boat. The crew prepared delicious barbecue of chicken, fish, prawns and sausages with flavoured rice and salad. This was followed by a banana dessert. After lunch we swam in the lagoon before heading back to dock. Our transport back to the hotel was already waiting for us when we arrived back. Thanks to the JPH team for a wonderful day. We can highly recommend the company.

Had a wonderful morning swimming with the dolphins in Tamarin Bay. The skipper and assistant were very informative and helpful and really tried to give us the best experience. They also noted people's strengths and adjusted accordingly. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic experience I had swimming with the dolphins! It truly was out of this world. From arriving to the point of destination the staff from JPH were more than welcoming.
A massive thank you to both Jeremy and Carl for adding to my experience and making the morning so enjoyable! A big shout out to Jeremy for being my camera man and capturing some amazing footage for me whilst swimming with the dolphins. Memories that I will have forever! Would highly recommend this trip and company to anyone visiting Mauritius. Just wish there was an option to upload videos as got some great footage!

My wife and me did this wonderful dolphin snorkeling trip today starting at the Lux Le Morne. It was only the two of us and our excellent guides Dhiran and Ronald.
Within the first 40min we were in the water 4 times with a big swarm of dolphins gliding by majestetically.
We were the only ones in the water together with Ronald who kept us safe.
Dhiran always found the perfect spot to drop us off.
Finally a big „Thank you“ to Dhiran, who maneuvered the boat excellently and navigated us safely through big tidal waves and strong currents!

My husband booked through our hotel and were picked up perfectly on time. As we had a small child we were advised to hire the boat for ourselves and although it cost more, I'm really happy we did. We had a lovely chat with our driver on the way. I hope I have remembered the names correctly, Carl was our captain and Marvin was our guide and a incredible swimmer! They're both kind, relaxed and very helpful and knowledgeable. The speedboat trip only felt about 15 minutes and we could see the dolphins straight away. I think we arrived early and possibly on a quiet day as there were only a few boats. We were fully advised about the wild dolphins and told they won't get close, but it was truly amazing. The water is so clear and if you keep swimming you can find yourself completely surrounded and what felt like within touching distance. Marvin kindly helped get a photo and video with my phone in an underwater case. The dolphins are so fast so just keep swimming! We did get in and out the boat a few times to get closer, but it was so wonderful to get back in the water and just keep listening and watching. It is tiring, but it was so worth it. The first sound of hearing them in the water and seeing them so clearly will be a memory I will never forget.

We did this trip today and had an amazing time! Michael and Mervin were brilliant! We had about six or seven swims with the spinner dolphins and even saw bottlenose as well. Only six of us on the boat, so it was a much more personalised experience than some of the larger boats we saw. Highly recommended, and such good value. Very tiring though!

It is NOT swim with the dolphins - it is hunt the dolphins!!!
They want you to have the imagination that the dolphins comes to you. They do NOT.
Imagination that there in the low season was ad least 14 speed boats, each carrying 14-20 pax. All the pax screaming and jumping in water, try to se the dolphins in a 2- 3 second moment.
The Speed boats in a big mix trying to get up in front of the escaping dolphins, other speed boats going back collect passengers on board again and major groups of pax hunting the dolphins, other can't find the right speed boat.
Some of the swimmers are excellent swimers with camera, other with swimwear, scarry to be in the washer, close to be hit of the hunting boats.
Don't do it, you will maximum se the fins of the scared dolphins try to escape this tourist trap. Engins, smell of gasoline, screaming turist is the picture I remember.

The team at JPH were the best thing about about stay in Mauritius. We did a dolphin tour, catamaran ride and two snorkelling trips. The team were always friendly and the dolphin experience particularly was amazing. Can't recommend enough!

Today I took the dolphin tour by JPH charters. I will remember this magnificent experience for a very long time. The tour left on time from La Pirogue peer. We found a school of dolphins at the picturesque Tamarin Bay and beautiful mountains. The skipper brings you close to the dolphins and then you jump off the boat in snorkel gear which they provide. You swim above and alongside the dolphins which is simply magnificent. The charter provides a floating device which gave me confidence in case I get tired. It also leaves your body free to move and swim... the boat picks you up again when the dolphins "outswim" you. I was so glad to be on this boat... it had the greatest engine power of the boats around - one guide on the boat and one in the water... and somehow we were always in the best position. I was within 2 metres of the dolphins several times despite being a mediocre swimmer. I spoke to Kristelle on land a few days earlier and she arranged this tour for me - after hours. These people have a special touch and they are good at what they do!

Hi Stefan
Trip out to dolphins was call, the trip back was quite a bomb.
But the trip was quite a disapointing experience. We was around 20-30 boats and tons of peoples in water and the dolphins was trying to escape the "hunting game".
Aftewards the stay at a little Island Wales great as well.
We recommend save the trip, Monty and your time. But enjoy Mauritius:-)
Bonjour je souhaiterais connaître vos tarifs svp. En sachant que nous au Riu créole comment ça se passe ?
