        Relaxing day
It was beautiful and relaxing. I have never ridden in a canoe before and it smooth. The water coming off the mountain felt great

        overall good experience
This was a good tour experience overall. My guide was Suwaibah. She coordinated my airport pickup, and accompanied me throughout the tour. Each stop was a good experience. The driver did a good job too. Only minor criticism is that Suwaibah was very soft spoken, which made it difficult to hear her at times. They dropped me off at my hotel afterwards, as promised.

This is just to say thank you ProTour Africa for again organizing a good tour for my partner and I in Ghana. The schedule and appointments worked out well and the driver was good and careful and also the guide's quite ok, the guides at 'Aburi Botanical Garden' and the 'Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm were quite experienced. I look forward to doing another tour with you one of these days. Best regards and best wishes

        Accra City Tour
The Accra City Tour with ProTour Africa was a perfect way for my partner and I to enjoy Accra city. Our favorite part of the city tour was the Art Market. I will still like to visit the craft market during my next visit. It was awesome! Thanks to my guide Zainab and the company ProTour Africa. We had a great experience.

A Thing to do in Ghana
I mostly travel to Ghana for work and this time I decided to book the cape coast trip to connect with my history. Although the tour at both Elmina and Cape Coast Castle was too much for us to take in, we enjoyed every part of the tour. The guides at the castles were very good and I enjoyed my lunch very much at the beach restaurant. I will refer this company to my friends who look forward to coming to Ghana. Thank you Zainab for making this trip possible to do.

        Value for money
The Cocoa Farm was very interesting and I loved the practical aspect of the tour at the Farm. Another highlight of the tour was the opportunity to meet other garden enthusiasts at the botanical garden and exchanged tips and ideas. The group was small enough that we were able to chat with each other and learn from one another's experiences. this tour is worth the price.

        Nature Tour with ProTour Africa
The Aburi Garden tour tour was a truly a delightful experience. As a lover of all things green, I was excited to explore the various gardens in the area, and I was not disappointed. The hike to the waterfall was challenging and not accessible for all ages. Along the way, we passed through a beautiful grove of trees which added to the enjoyment of the tour. The water cascaded down a series of rocks into a small pool, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to take some photos and just Overall, the mini waterfall tour was a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and refreshing outdoor experience.

Book them! You won't be disappointed
We had such a lovely time with the ProTour Africa team. They are extremely professional, kind and polite. But most importantly communication was excellent all round from booking to drop off. The car was very comfortable (saloon car with AC). About the tour : we particularly enjoyed Aburi gardens. Such a peaceful place. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us so much facts about the garden and Ghana.

        Worth it
Our tour guide was super personable, and she made sure to ask everyone in the group what kind of foods we wanted to try, and which things we did not want to try. I felt like we saw all of the interesting tour destinations in Accra. Definitely worth the trip!

I’m writing this review with mixed feelings. The tour itself was great the canopy walk was amazing and I loved the challenge. Seeing what our ancestors experienced was heartbreaking but like the tour guide said what they went through is why we are standing here today stronger than ever. So I’m so appreciative of this and the fact I got to experience it.

The organisation however was somewhat disappointing, we got picked up very early and I had high hopes. After collecting several other people we finally left Accra around 7:45. The 3.5hr drive down to cape coast was expected but the additional 45 min journey to the canopy wasn’t. When we arrived we hung around for 45 mins before we went on a tour, we were waiting for a guide but we didn’t need it as Rashida was very knowledgable. Our next stop was cape coast where we ordered lunch and then did the your (see above for review of tour). Nearing the end of the hour we were told the restaurant didn’t have our food do we should go to the next spot to eat and then do Elmina castle, we waited for over 30 mins for pre ordered food. By the time everyone got food it was dark and I asked if the castle would still be opened. I was assured it would be and we would still be going. We got there at 18:45 only to be told it’s closed and dark so the tour wouldn’t happen. We were offered a complimentary tour the next day if we returned. The entire group declined.

It’s a shame as it dampened the mood on route back to Accra. Rashida has kindly offered a partial refund (thank you). I think my feedback is this trip can take up to 16hrs and needs to be organised better, I.e. pick set meals for the group for lunch and dinner, have passes available straight away, have our own tour guides!

Hello Mandi, thank you very much for your feedback and all recommendations you have suggested have been received gratefully and will be seriously considered by my team in order to improve upon our services. Some of them might not be possible as the tour sites have their regulations of operation but those that can be done from our end will definitely be done. Thank you very much once again and have a blessed stay in Ghana making great memories with Alan.

For five years, I have wanted to do the canopy walk at Kakum National Park and I am grateful that I went with Pro Tour Africa. Before leaving for Ghana, they kept in touch with me via WhatsApp to let me know what to expect, when and where we will be picked up, and to ensure the older gentleman in our group would be able to manage the day.

Rashida was an entertaining guide and even told us our Ghanaian names based on our day of birth. The tour bus was well air-conditioned and comfortable, which was great as the Cape Coast is almost three hours away from Labadi Beach in Accra and I tend to get carsick (didn’t happen this time). We started with the Cape Coast Castle tour, then to the canopy walk, a tour of Elmina Castle, and we ended with a seaside dinner. What a great way to spend a day in Ghana!

It was a wonderful day right from the onset of the trip. Zainab (the guide) and George (the driver) picked me up, on time, early morning from my residence at Adenta to set out to the Cape Coast region. Upon arriving at Kakum, we briefly hiked the National Park and did the Canopy Walk and then drove to Elmina and Cape Coast city to tour the Emina Castle and Cape Coast Castle respectively. In between the tours, Zainab ordered lunch to be prepared for us at one of the popular beach restaurants in Elmina. At the end of the day, we set out to return with George driving us smoothly back to Accra. Overall, I really enjoyed the trip as well as the experience. I highly recommend Protour Africa to anyone who wants to have a joyous adventure in seeing some of the beautiful places and hidden gems in Ghana!

This tour was high on my list of things to do while in Ghana. My tour guide was young, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She was amazing. The journey began early as we tried to avoid traffic but we were slowed down twenty minutes in. However, my guide was easy to chat with as we learned a lot about each other’s cultures.
Our first stop was the Kakum National Park, wear sensible shoes as it’s a good ten to fifteen minutes hike up to the canopy bridges. While on the bridges don’t rush or you’ll forget to take pictures and admire the landscape. We then drove to visit both Elmina and Cape Coast Castles. However, after you’ve heard the atrocities of how Europeans treated other human beings at Elmina I wasn’t up for it a second round of trauma so we drove past so I could see the rock of evil.
We dined with locals on Red-red with plantains that was delicious as the young and old enjoyed the sounds of the ocean.
The journey back was equally long but reflective.
I highly recommend booking your Cape Coast tour with Zainab Protours it was like being with a knowledgeable friend who didn’t annoy you.

A lovely day spent in Cape Coast region. The tour provided exactly what was specified. On the tour it was me and Brigitte accompanied by Zainab the guide and George the driver. Both of them were very nice and accommodating. The tour starts with Kakum National Park, the canopy walk which is quite a nice adventure. Zainab did the walk with us, which was very nice and she was patient with us when we ask to rest. The nature is just stunning. Then we continued with Elmina Castle. While visiting Elmina Castle Zainab ordered the food to be prepared for us. We ate by the beach in such a beautiful place. I wished we would have stayed little longer by the beach, but this is because I love the beach so much. Then the last castle was Cape Coast Castle. Such an emotional visit here. I feel it is bigger than Elmina castle and the history for some reason seemed more intense here for me. Both tours were started when we joined but the second guide gave us the first part that we missed it. It was very nice and kind. The ocean views are stunning from both castles. After the last castle it was the drive back to Accra. I do agree with another review here, it would be lovely to hear some facts about Ghana while we drive for 3.5 hours. It would make the trip even more interesting....Overall a day trip worth taking it...I strongly recommend it for a lot of reasons. Thank you Zainab and George for the day!

As readers of history, this trip allowed us to stand at the "point of no return". Being able to view the Castles, the dungeons and the position of the priest's quarters left us with an awareness, that only the visit could accomplish. It was a pilgrimage for us that sometimes happens once in a lifetime. Our guide was fully prepared. He verbally walked us through a period in history that matched our scholarship and imaginations. Although it left us weak and emotional, the reality of the situation, brought additional awareness of what our ancestors endured.

      Fantastic trip with fantastic people

Ghanaians are some of the most hospitable people you can encounter and they make you feel so welcomed and at home. The food is amazing especially red red and Jollof rice. The beaches at the coast are so beautiful and breezy. It was nice observing the fishermen go about their daily life, on their boats fishing or mending their nets. The walkway was thrilling but I strongly recommend not looking down if you are afraid of heights. Rashida did a great job showing me around the fishing market at Elmina and sharing some interesting stories about growing up in Ghana. Our vehicle was really cozy and comfortable. Our driver was also polite, friendly and accommodating to our frequent bathroom breaks. This trip couldn't have been any better!

The drive was long but so very worthy. Had an emotional time on the Castle tours learning about the perils of the ancestors. Very touching experience. The Canopy walk was great experience. The lunch we had at the restaurant on property was delicious and well seasoned. Our tour guide was awesome (can’t recall his name) and explained to us a lot of info on the trees in the forest and their purposes. A long day but overall so worth it. Would have been nice to leave from the hotel earlier to return to the city not so late.
