Wonchi - Crater Lake: Wanchi is the picturesque lake situated about 32 kilometers southwest of Ambo on the road to Waliso nearly halfway between the two towns. Coming from Ambo or from Waliso to Wanchi Crater Lake the gravel road ascends mountain slopes almost to the rim of the crater where the height reaches 3,386m at a peak. Here green oasis, (when compared to the surrounding area) comes to view.

I went to high mountain to see Addis Ababa. it's good view and I got good pictures of local ladies who carried wood back home. The trip was inspirational to learn about the history and religious practices in Portuguese bridge and Debre Libanos Monastery. Our guide Yosef was brilliant, knowledgeable and full of information and enjoyed every minute we spent with him.
