The concierge at our hotel arranged a driver for us. We paid 50USD for 3 hours. Driving in Addis is hectic - the roads are very congested. I would recommend getting a driver to get around.

I booked the 2 days, 1 night tour to the Danakil Depression as this was all the time I had. I was assured this was ok and that I would still see everything worth seeing, and, to be fair, I did. It’s a great place and well worth going to. The only problem is that the operator was shocking, with horrific planning and poor service. I did not have a guide, just a driver that spoke limited English (despite being told I would have one). The driver, to his credit, was excellent at his job of driving. He just wasn’t actually supposed to guide but ended up doing this. The first day was also spent predominantly in the car (12 hours), mainly because we went way out of the way to meet up with a guide that never materialised. The whole planning by ETT travel was poor and when I complained I received no response, which is why I’m writing such a poor review. My recommendation is to definitely go to the Danakil Depression but try to find an alternative provider.

The ETT tourism agency in Addis Ababa is, in my opinion, the best agency in the country because all the services they provided were the best possible, the equipment is good, the guides are very polite and very fun, our trip was fantastic because of this agency, the price is also very good, I highly recommend this agency.

ETT is an amazing travel agency, I think it must be the best agency in all of Ethiopia. We went to Omo Valley and several other cities. We visited the tribes in the south of the country and the churches high in the mountains. The tour guides are fantastic. They were a lot of fun and made our trip incredible, I highly recommend them!

Ethio Tour and Travel helped me realize my dream of hiking in the Simien Mountains and exploring the incredible rock hewn churches of lalibela.The treeeking experience in the Simiens was phenomenal breathtaking views diverse wildlife (we saw Gelada baboons!) and challenging bug rewarding trails.I cannot recommended them enough for an unforgettable Ethiopian.

I recently returned from a 12 day trip to Ethiopia with ethio tour and travel that included visits to the Simien Moutains, Danakil Depression (a quick 3 day trip with a large group), and Lalibela.The highlighs were definitely the stunning views during our Simien Mountains hike and witnessing the surreal landscapes of the Danakil Depression.Overall the trip well organized and meet most of my expectations.

The trek up to abuna yemata guh church was challenging but worth every step, and our guide haben expertly navigated the terrain and the local customs.Ethio tour and travel provided an authentic and unforgettable adventure.Highly recommended for anyone seeking to experience the raw beauty and history of northern Ethiopia!

This tour was amazing. The drivers, guides and chef were all so lovely and helpful. It was a real adventure between Danakil and the volcano! Our guides had a lot of information, informed us of every step and also made sure we were always safe. The company itself back in Addis Ababa were also great. They collected us from our hotel in Addis to take us to the office so we could safely pay in cash. They arranged an airport transfer the next day. They checked in with us every step of the way. We had also booked a trip to Harar after this one and they were also amazing with everything there. Cannot recommend this company enough. On top of that, the actual experience is out of this world. The things you will see are just incredible. Photos cannot do the experience justice. Also, the chef was able to cook us delicious food on the road in the most random of places and should be commended for this. If you're wondering who to go with for your trip to Ethiopia, I would suggest this company.

Worth every penny! Organization was impeccable, views/ tours were amazing, food was great and so was setup for camping. All people involved in it, from driver, guides, cooks to coordinator, were great, knowledgeable, helpful, funny! If you are looking for an adventure, this is for you!
