I stayed in my grandparents' house during Summer holiday in 2022. It was in Asmera, in Eritrea, I stayed in a room with my cousin who is really funny. I really liked the room where I stayed, because it was roomy but it was also a little bit uncomfortable because the bed was built with stones.
In the house, we don't have enough connexion but the room had enough space for playing with my cousins.
The wardrobe was really big ant it had two chests of drawers next to the bed. Everything in the room was clean but a little bit uncomfortable.
Every morning, we had a breakfast with all the family in the living room and I loved this.

My partner and I just finished a 5-day tour of Eritrea with "Eritrea Visit". It was perfectly planned from beginning to end - Asmara, Massawa, and Keren. The flexibility of Philemon and his team was appreciated as they handled all the permits and took us to local spots that we could've have done on our own. We had a private driver and guide during our time in Eritrea for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

I spent 10 days in Eritrea with my guides, Sam and Phil, great guides and excellent people. I visited Asmara, Masawa and Karen and did some hiking not far from Asmara. I was very well taken care of and we went to a lot of weddings. 😀
It’s a very unique country and more of a European flavor than any other African country. Great pasta gelato and coffee. The local food is also excellent. Be ready for virtually no internet but WhatsApp kind of works. So many interesting sites and even the cities feel less chaotic than other African cities, amazing art deco and colonial architecture, the landscapes are beautiful. I’d highly recommend Eritrea and Sam and Phil as guides, very professional and organized, Eritrea is very bureaucratic and to travel requires a lot of paperwork, we had no problems.

This was an extended 9 day tour through Eritrean mountains, to archeological ruins, beautiful beaches, historic mosques and churches, and many dusty but memorable villages. I thank all the individuals, but particularly our driver, who made this time in Eritrea a truly extraordinary experience.

Very friendly welcome and service all throughout our stay. We got to discover the various sides of the capital and had a great time on the sea-side. Great experience!
