Fungayi was a fantastic help in organising our family party of 14 ( from grandparents to grandchildren!) to combine two tours into one. So we had Vic Falls, Chobe and Hwange, plus lots of "extras", especially for the grandchildren, who had never been to Africa before. Not only did he organise it all, but he and his wife acted as our guides for the whole trip. All in all a wonderful experience, and I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough.

A big thank you to Fungayi at AfroHoneyGuides for an exciting stay in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. I found AfroHoneyGuides here on TripAdvisor a year ago. We planned this trip a year in advance. We wanted to visit Vic Falls after a 4,200km self-drive around Namibia with Steve McCullagh and Great Road Journeys. We took our chances with AHG and started our booking through liaising with Fungayi. We selected the 4 Days / 3 Nights package that included transfer services from & to Vic Falls Airport, Zimbabwe, accommodation in Vic Falls (we chose PheZulu Guest Lodge which we also rate highly), a visit to The Falls, a safari drive in Chobe NP, Botswana (just over an hour away), and a river safari on the Chobe River in the afternoon. Lunch was included on the Botswana day. We also had additional excursions to chose from for our spare time. We chose a visit to two animal conservation centres where we literally walked with a cheetah at one, and three lions at the other. I’m not comfortable with any animals so this really was an unforgettable experience. We also paid for a “Boma” dinner evening at a nearby lodge. Overall we were very well looked after. Fungayi personally picked us up and dropped us off. He briefed us well on collection times & drop-off times. He was always punctual. Fungayi was very friendly, open, and easy to talk to. It’s always a bit concerning sending money abroad to someone you don’t know, but in the end there was nothing to worry about. If you are on the same journey as we had we recommend (if visas apply to you) to get a “double entry” visa at the airport. They were US$70 pp. the boarder crossing in to Botswana was straight forward. Fungayi literally hands you over to his Botswana counterpart at the border who helps you through the simple process. My wife is exploring the possibility of returning for the half-marathon one July. Without doubt we would use Fungayi and AHG again for all our arrangements.

Fungayi organized transfers for my family from Chobe Safari Lodge in Botswana to Victoria falls and back. He was very organized, and we had a great day. I would definitely recommend using his company.

This was a 7 day tour to Hwange National Park and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Chobi national Park in Batswana. This tour was amazing. Our beautiful hotel was right outside of Hwange NP and we had perfect views of elephants at breakfast and dinner time. What a special experience. Sungai, tour guide took care of our every needs and took very special care of us. I highly recommend this tour and company! Thanks for making our trip a special one.

We had a week tour which included Hwange, Chobe, and Victoria Falls. We had the best safaris and even witnessed a cheetah kill. Of course, Victoria Falls was amazing. See if from a helicopter if you can! Fungayi was an amazing host/guide. He made sure everything was top notch. I would highly recommend Afro Honeyguide Adventures. The memories you gain will be forever.

Fungayi was such a pleasure to work with. He was very accommodating and genuine! He added several excursions to our itinerary based on our requests. We had such a fabulous time in Zimbabwe. All of the guides and excursions were amazing. Fungayi made sure to check in with us and made sure we had transportation to each one of our excursions. Highly recommend booking with Fungayi!

We loved our trip there. Communication was easy and superuncomplicated, the lodge is amazing with the nicest people; great food and elephants coming to the poolto drink, Game Drives were so much more than we expected.

HIGHLY recommend Afro Honeyguides and their excursions! From the moment we were met at the airport, it was a truly amazing experience. Fungayi and his guides are so knowledgeable and proud of their country so it was such a treat to learn from them and experience all they offered. I will absolutely be back and will use them again. I have never experienced such genuine, caring and fun guides in such an incredible location. Victoria Falls is truly something to behold, as is Chobe National Park.

We enjoyed during our stay and your service was excellent. The girls enjoyed the Falls, Cruise boats, Chobe National Park and Chobe boat cruise was something else. It was great. We give you 5 stars I will definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to visit Victoria Falls

As a solo female traveller I was a bit nervous going alone. I had a wonderful time and everything ran so smoothly. Innocent did an excellent job explaining about the falls on the guided walk. The accommodation Phezulu lodge was clean, comfortable and friendly staff. All pick ups for activities were on time. All staff I encountered for pick ups were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this company.

BEWARE!!! THIS TOUR OPERATOR IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. I booked this trip through VIATOR. HUGE MISTAKE!!! The tour included: Transfers to, from the airport; hotel, tours and cruises. THE TOUR OPERATOR REFUSED TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO ME First, he arrived over an hour late to pick me up from the airport. He had someone named Victor tell me that he was running late. Mind you, I am a senior female solo traveler and it was my first time in Zimbabwe. He finally arrived over an hour late. He dropped me off at the lodge and gave me only 15 minutes to be ready for the sunset cruise (included). Second, he never would tell me where I was staying before arriving which meant I could not look it up to cancel. But the lodge he booked for me was HORRIBLE!!!! The door was all glass and had only a key turn lock - no dead bolt, secure lock or security at all. I walked into my room and the bed was right there visible to anyone. The room was old and outdated - no air conditioner at all. The windows had no screens in them. The room smelled like an elephant and had a dirty, dingy bathroom. I immediately told him this and I did not feel safe AT ALL and could not stay there. He refused to help but instead, said "VIATOR was paying him only $689 only on the 10th of them month and he used that lodge because they allowed him to pay on the back end." He kept making excuses and tried to make me read the documents. Third, he refused to answer my calls regarding the pre-paid activities. In fact, he said, "Well, good luck," and "Well noted. That suits me better" when I asked him if I needed to book a tour with another company. I contacted VIATOR and there were no help at all. Fourth, he refused to assist me in any with transfer back to the airport when I left Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe earlier today. I again reached out to VIATOR only to learn that he was not returning or responding to their calls either. So, although I had prepaid, I had to pay again for this (and other services). Last (and worst of all), on September 29, 2023, the tour operator sent an email to VIATOR asking to get out of the contract with me. THIS WAS IN TIME FOR ME TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT. He even asked to discuss this with them in detail, but VIATOR refused and it has caused a big mess. Now, they will not refund me any of my money even though I immediately checked out of their lodge (was there less than 1/2 hour) and stayed at a clean, modern lodge right across the road with exceptional customer service. Both this tour operator and VIATOR are worthless, unprofessional and shady. Don't ever use them.

Top notch experience. Our guides Fungayi and Innocent took such great care of us and accommodated our every need. They provided brilliant local knowledge about the area, sorted all transfers and extra activities that we were interested in doing. They also looked after our accommodation for the 5 days we were around Vic Falls and put us up in the magnificent Nguni lodge (which will also be getting a 5 star review from us). Could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We did a day trip from Botswana to Victoria Falls. Fungayi picked up us from hotel on time and helped us to pass the borders of both country smoothly. He shared his stories and the info of Zimbabwe with us on the way which was great, we really enjoyed the history of the country. He helped us to book a helicopter tour over the Falls which was amazing experience. I personally think seeing the water from sky is much better from the walking path. We totally enjoyed our day at Victoria Falls. Thank you!
