Good hotel for Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel and Hwange Safari Lodge, good food, friendly and knowledgeable tour guides.

Mncedisi, "Big M," was our guide for the entire day at Hwange National Park, and we were lucky to have him. He was so full of fascinating information about the wildlife and their symbiotic relationships that it made the adventure even more compelling. The entire experience, from finding a leopard and watching it stalk a steenbok, to seeing the elephants gather at the watering holes with all the babies and juveniles, to witnessing zebra frolicking and more, was magical. It renewed our wonder at the glory of nature and the world in which we live. It was truly a life enhancing experience. Thank you, Big M, for giving us this unforgettable day. We also have to give a shout-out to Francis, our driver. He expertly managed the unforgiving roads with good cheer. He was also quite knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, which made the long drive from Victoria Falls and back much more enjoyable.

I cannot recommend them enough. These 9 days were for me an unforgettable experience and this is thanks also to the kind, dedicated an extremely organised team behind Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours. The price is crazy reasonable for all the experiences, accommodation and included meals that we got. And because this is an up and coming tour operator they care so much about making you feel taken care of and are so open to feedback to improve. This is so rare to see nowadays and definitely appreciated. Don't miss your chance to travel with them, you won't be dissapointed!!! When I come back, it will be with them :)

From initial enquiry/quote I received from Silence Takaedza (Zambezi Representative), the level of service was exceptional! Silence was able to tailor the trip to my dates needed, which is much better than trying to fit in with tour company dates, so this made the entire trip easy and enjoyable! I was met by Silence upon check in at my first day, and gave me a run down of everything that was ahead. Again, service above and beyond! Throughout the entire trip, I was kept informed about next activities/movements. I had a personal driver with me for the road trips between locations, and Francis was fantastic! As a solo traveller, it was great having him there as someone to talk to about the experiences I had. Offering his company at times so as to not be alone, and also knowing when to just allow me some space to relax and take in the safari. Francis was an exceptional guide who ensured I was where I needed to be, on time and without stress! It was a seamless and pleasant experince from start to finish of the entire trip, and I can reccommend Zambezi Expeditions for a guarnteed excellent trip! It should be noted also that for activities not outlined in a trip/quote from Zambezi, they are able to help arrange these. I did not realise this at the time and I had made private bookings for activities, so advise letting Zambezi book/plan other activities for complete ease. Overall, this was brilliant trip and I am so thankful for Zambezi Expeditions professional and personal service!

Obviously no bears or lions but this was an incredible experience for my first time safari! Our guides were so knowledgeable and kind. They also tried their best to find the lions for me (thank you Kuda & sadly I do not recall our other guide’s name but he was a walking encyclopedia), and even though I didn’t get to see them this was truly above and beyond service! We had such a great time going around the park and saw so many elephants!! It was truly such a magical experience. We also became such great friends with our awesome driver, Norman, who brought us from Vic Falls to Hwange. Such a smooth, great day!

5/5 From the time I contacted Silence and Oscar to inquire about their services, they communicated clearly and responded promptly, and provided information so as I could trust I was getting the experience I was looking for. Their service exceeded my expectations and my family of 5 had a once in a lifetime experience. We chose the Maun to Victoria Falls tour and each location was so special it was hard to choose our favourite. Our guide Francis was professional, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to provide just the right touch to our experience. He is such a kind soul with passion for his work and by the end of the tour, our family was very sad to say goodbye to him. He helped us feel comfortable, safe and helped us trouble shoot our onward journey through to the Midlands of Zimbabwe. He really saw what my family needed in this experience and took care of all the details for us. He was a joy to be around. The accomodation provided along the way was very nice, especially Elephant Sands and Chobe Safari Lodge. The game drives were amazing and we absolutely loved the Mokoro boat ride and walk in the Okavango delta. This company incorporates the community services into what they provide so that the people of the land also benefit from the tourism. Botswana was so beautiful and teaming with wildlife, especially elephants and giraffes and impalas so there was something to see every corner we took. I would highly recommend choosing this company and location if you are after an amazing African experience with a company you can trust to make it a very memorable trip! Thank you Francis!

I booked as a solo traveler and managed to join other people who were booked by Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours. Initially the entire trip was very interesting we saw quite a number of animals and the park is very huge. Our driver Francis from Victoria to hwang a very good driver, our guide very informative. I highly recommend booking with Zambezi Expedition.

A visit to Hwange is well worth the 2 1/2 hour trip to get there. In hind site I wish that we would have planned an overnight stay at the park because there is so much to see there and one day is not enough time. Our driver was punctual, kind and professional. And our safari park guide was very knowledgeable about the animals, birds, and plants that we encountered. He shared his bird book with us along the drive. We saw many herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, 6 different kinds of antelope, hippos, crocodiles, lizards and a pride of 10 lions. Seeing the lions 10 feet from our jeep was the highlight of our 3 week stay in Africa. I would highly recommend this company. Oh and the lunch that was prepared for us was wonderful.

Initial correspondence was via email and everyone of them was replied promptly. We were picked up at the airport by Francis. He was well presented, courteous, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. We were taken to our hotel (rainbow falls, which was lovely), where we were greeted by Oscar, the Zambesi expedition tour manager. We exchanged phone numbers and was told that Francis was available to take us wherever we wanted to go. Our trip was very well planned, from start to finish including a Zambesi boat trip (alcohol and snacks included) and Victoria falls. We asked Oscar to arrange for a helicopter ride over the falls which he arranged straight after our walk. (amazing views and highly recommend). The transport to Botswana, also included a safari and a boat trip on the Chobe River. The hotel was lovely, overlooking the Chobe river. (complete with baboons). From there we went back to Zimbabwe to the Hwange game reserve. Another amazing hotel overlooking a waterhole. Another safari where we saw Lions and Crocodiles, as well as other animals. Back to Victoria falls for our last day before being picked up by Francis and taken back to the airport. All staff were so friendly and welcoming. All guides were included so no hidden costs there. Would definitely recommend this company. Would definitely use them again.

"My wife and I recently took a sunset cruise on the Zambezi by Zambezi Expedition - Great staff, beautiful animals, stunning sunset, enjoyable drinks. So pleasant that we ended up going out for an evening meal with the four other guests (two couples - 2 Zimbabwean, 2 Canadian) - we were all hugely impressed - particularly by the knowledgeable staff." I was too busy enjoying the experience to take many photos but enjoyed an abundance of hippos, crocs, big lizards, birds and just as the sun was setting seeing a playful family of elephants splashing about, teaching their young and dust bathing. In a word - Marvelous!

Such an amazing company to work with from just researching trip to being returned to airport in Livingston after the most amazing experience. Talking to both Oscar and Silence throughout the planning process was great Oscars expertise and knowledge was phenomenal. While talking to Oscar from Australia I knew we had chosen the right people and company especially when someone says to you turn your camera on and all you see is elephants waking pass his van as he was on the road. This company is top notch. Very professional and exceeded my expectations at every turn. I was a solo traveler but I got the same level of attention and service a group of 10 would have gotten. Oscar, and the rest of the team (especially Silence), went way above and beyond to make sure everything was fabulous. They surprised me by upgrading my hotels twice! I saw almost every type of animal you could imagine. Some as close as touching distance. I arrived a day early but that didn’t even cause a hiccup as they just arranged more adventures for me to experience and took me everywhere. Oscar returned to the airport twice to find my lost bag and brought it to Botswana for me. If you are looking for a professional company for a top notch African experience you have found the company. If you are a solo traveler or a large group Zambezi Expeditions can accommodate you.

We completed a 10 day Camping Okavanga Delta, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls tour with Zambezi Expeditions and it was outstanding! Oscar and his team are absolutely amazing and accommodated our every need, including being flexible in last minute decisions and arranging activities for us as we wished along the journey. Oscar's staff are very welcoming and happy to help, especially in zimbabwe. Oscar (owner) himself personally overlooks and spends as much time with his guests as possible to make it a very personalised experience. In terms of the trip overall, the okavanaga delta was an amazing experience were we camped in a basic camp overnight in the wilderness. The polers took us fishing and very close to hippos. They also cooked delicious meals and completed guided walks through the bush to find animals. Oscar arranged a night in Elephant Sands and this place was Amazing for elephant sightings in the afternoon. In Chobe we had a basic camping set up in a lodge with a pool. The staff again very accommodating. On request Oscar even arranged a tiger fishing trip which was a ball in the Chobe River. Boat cruises and game drives in the afternoons and mornings were a great experience. At Vic Falls again Oscar arranged a traditional drum dinner and some extra activities (ziplining) which made our time there a ball. There are also amazing places to eat such as the three mknkeys and the lookout Cafe. Overall Zambezi Expeditions absolutely gave us an fantastic africa holiday. :)

Excellent value for money, definitely recommended. Our guides Cobra and Francis were both so informative and helpful and lunch was amazing. Only critism would be, maybe border control/required visas could be explained when booking.
