- 283kizzyc0 contributionsHoneymoon Tours - 5 starsWe did a few different tours/experiences with Wild Horizons. First, Francis picked us up at the airport, and due to a delay with our flight, took us directly to Victoria Falls and gave us a private tour! I learned we were supposed to be on a group tour, but because of our time constraints, Wild Horizons accommodated us with a private tour. From there, Francis took us back to our hotel to let us check in and freshen up before he transported us to our sunset Zambezi River cruise. This was fantastic! We saw so many elephants and other wildlife, watched the sunset, and enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks. The next morning we went to the Elephant Sanctuary - this was a highlight of our trip! We walked out to the bush and met the elephants. We were able to touch them and feed them. Then upon return, we were fed the most delicious English breakfast. It was such a memorable experience. Thank you to Wild Horizons and Francis for an amazing first stop on our honeymoon!Written September 26, 2024
- J4005IDgeralds0 contributionsDinner Cruise on the ZambeziOriginally scheduled for a pick-up at our hotel at 5:00 PM. Upon checking in with our hotel's front desk earlier in the day, we were informed that the pick-up time had been changed to 5:30 PM. At 4:50 PM we received a phone call from the hotel desk informing us that our transport was on site and impatiently waiting for us. We hustled down to the pick-up location and were informed by the driver that the cruise is scheduled to BEGIN at 5:00 PM. Our bus stopped at another hotel to pick-up guests and while the driver was out of the vehicle two other couples informed us that they, too, had been provided incorrect pick-up times. Two ladies travelling together stated that they were given a 4:00 PM pick-up time and had waited around until after 4:30 PM. The other couple's situation was similar to ours. Once we got to the dock and boarded the vessel, the experience turned better. However, another Wild Horizons vessel was pulling away from the dock at the same time as our vessel - at approximately 5:30 PM. So much for a 5:00 PM departure time. The cruise was OK. We did either slow down or stop to see a crocodile, some hippos, and two elephants during our cruise. At no time was there any commentary by the crew. Although service was good, the food was merely so-so. Overall, this excursion was just OK.Written September 24, 2024
- J4005IDgeralds0 contributionsFind another tour company in Victoria FallsWild Horizons was scheduled to transport us to Victoria Falls Park and provide a guided tour - all pre-paid. Scheduled pick-up time from our hotel was 8:00 AM. At 8:30 AM we called Wild Horizons to discover that they had "forgotten" us. They finally arrived to pick us up at 8:40 AM. The driver took us to a parking lot in downtown Victoria Falls, where we were requested to move into another vehicle. That driver took us to the Park and got us through ticketing. Once in the park, that second driver passed us off to a Wild Horizons guide, who rushed us through the first four viewing points in order for us to catch up with another group. We were then passed on to another Wild Horizons guide who initially greeted us... than that was it... he didn't say anything during this "guided" tour - nothing about the history of the Falls, the composition of the Falls, the geography of the Falls... nothing! Our tour was supposed to last between 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours, but ours was about 1 hour. Once his "guided" tour was complete, this Wild Horizons "guide" led us through the turnstyle exit, then just walked away. We had to try to find our own transport back to the hotel. This entire episode was completely unprofessional!Written September 24, 2024
- johnmM5296ZX0 contributionsSomething a little differentWe went on the cruise on our first night in Victoria Falls. It was warm and sunny and we looked forward to seeing a few animals and a beautiful sunset. It was well organised by Wild Horizons and they collected us from our accommodation on time. There is a choice of a few cocktails to get you started. The chairs on the top deck are very comfortable. Do not expect to see huge groups of animals, we saw a few Hippos, Elephants and a couple of small crocodiles. The sunset was spectacular The dinner is served on the lower deck after sunset. A choice of Zambezi river bream or Beef fillets. We had the beef which was cooked to perfection. A steady flow of drinks accompanied the food. As something different to do, i would recommend this activity.Written September 23, 2024
- Climber057118087150 contributionsGorge swing ZambiaSo exciting i was a little nervous it would yank on my neck and back with the swing. But it was very smooth. Everyone was great at gorge swing. They showed me how to tuck my neck and keep tucked for about 4 seconds to prevent any whiplash. Hardest part was the climb out of the gorge took me 20 minutes. Not bad for a 70 year oldWritten September 19, 2024
- YouCantKillAwesome0 contributionsRomantic night outEverything was perfect. Picked up on time Beautiful cruise with fantastic views as we quietly cruised around the Zambezi river. The captain made an effort to put the boat in good spots for photos of Hippos, Crocs and Elephants The food was excellent, the drinks wre generous.Drop off back to our accomodation was excellent Would absolutely recommendWritten September 18, 2024

- saradhan20200 contributionsWild Horizons, Victoria Galls toursVincent at Wild Horizons Victoria Falls arranged several short tours for us, including Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island, Bike Ride, lunch at a local home, Zambezi River Cruise, Village walk in Namibia and a Game Drive at the Pricate Game Reserfe to see Rhinos. Loved all of it. Especially loved the Devil's Pool swim. Vincent was very friendly and helpful.Written August 30, 2024
- MooseJar0 contributionsZip line funWe really enjoyed the canopy tour, the 9 zip wires are great. It's worth bearing in mind that it's not so much a tour and the canopy, it's just about the zip wires. The WH website says there will be "opportunities to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the region" but that didn't happen at all on our tour, we were just taken to the 9 zip wires. I'm not much of a thrill seeker and was a bit nervous of the zip wires but they were fine for me, not scary at all. In total we spent about an hour on the tour, including the walk back up which took about 15 minutes.Written August 26, 2024

- 47Wave0 contributionsGreat ambiance, great scenery, awesome sunset.A memorable evening. Super comfortable seating around tables on the upper deck with great views. (The upper deck does give slightly better views so it’s worth getting a table there if you can - first come, first served). The promise of simple “snacks” definitely do justice to what we got: really well presented, generous and varied they made a great start to the cruise. Generous drinks (we recommend the G&Ts!) Just the right amount of commentary/explanation from the captain - in person, not over a loud speaker. A fascinating route which gave glimpses of the rapids above the Falls as well as varied shoreline scenery. Breathtaking sunset. We glimpsed hippos and crocodiles, and whenever they were visible the boat got as close as it could. Don’t expect a river safari though; the experience is all about ambiance, scenery and sunset. We loved it!Written August 23, 2024

- LindsPren0 contributionsAll around outstanding!Spent several days in Vic Falls doing trips with Wild Horizons (Flying Fox, Falls Tour, and Zambezi rafting). Cannot say enough good things about this world-class company. Everywhere we encountered the staff – checking in, doing the activities, guides that accompanied us) the service was helpful, friendly, informative, and highly professional. Having been a guide myself, I recognized the highly detailed procedures used to ensure everyone was utmost safe and cared for, and the equipment is all in excellent condition and carefully maintained. In particular, the day trip on the Zambezi was incredible. The Trip Lead, Sugar, and his crew of highly skilled boatmen (rafts and kayaks) are the utmost professionals. Everyone involved made sure all guests felt safe and happy while also having a blast on some of the best whitewater in the world. The team are trained paramedics in many cases and take safety extremely seriously, not something I have always observed when rafting around the world. I only wish I could come right back and do a multi-day trip, but maybe next year!Written August 17, 2024

Very professional staff, well organized and friendly. This is a must do once in your life time vibe. It was scary at first, nerves and all but that doesn't beat the feeling of "I DID IT" afterwards.
