- amitsA795CM0 contributionsHighly Recommend Habari AdventureMy wife and I just finished our hike to Mount Kilimanjaro with Habari Adventure. I would highly recommend them. They have an awesome team of guides (Michael, Mfaume, Sam and Joseph) and an amazing group of porters (Thomas is a great cook). Good Luck to all hikers.Written October 9, 2024
- monishas5480 contributionsAmazing experience with Habari AdventureMy life partner (60 years old) and I (55 years old) had a very satisfying sumit experience via the Lemosho route with Habari Adventure! Every one in our group of 8 summitted successfully on Oct 7, 2024. Reaching the top of Kilimanjaro was awesome but I am most grateful to have met some absolutely amazing people on our Kilimanjaro journey - our guides (Michael, Mfaume, Samson and Joseph), cook (Thomas) , waiter (George), porters (too many to mention but each equally dedicated and caring) were all such an inspiration to me! They are all hardworking, compassionate, caring, people and have positive attitudes and ever-ready smiles. Our experience with Habari Adventure was wonderful beyond my expectations. I loved spending 8 days with the amazing Habari team and with my fellow hikers ❤️ Should you have any specific questions about climbing Kilimanjaro with Habari Adventures, feel free to reach out!Written October 9, 2024
- 6srikanthb0 contributionsHabari , the journey is the destinationHi Stan, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible experience we had with Habari hiking and safari. The entire group, especially myself, was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Thank you for organizing such a remarkable operation that prioritizes extraordinary customer experiences. Your commitment to excellence truly sets your organization apart as world-class. Every member of your team excelled, and many did an amazing job. One individual, his name is God's gift in particular, went above and beyond—your porter was truly a gift! He quickly became our favorite, and I believe he deserves special recognition. I highly recommend considering him for an assistant guide role; his genuine demeanor and outstanding service are invaluable. Thank you once again, buddy, for doing such an excellent job. Keep up the fantastic work! Best regards, SriWritten October 7, 2024
- 742shilpas0 contributionsMachame 7 days - mission accomplished with HabariI could achieve the mission to reach the summit only because of Habari adventure team- period! From planning to execution they exhibited an upmost professionalism and expertise. The team of porters and guides are the true superheroes who went above and beyond their respective roles to help unique situations with smiling faces and amazing attitude. Because of this successful experience with the Kilimanjaro hike, we also hired Habari for a one day safari which also exceeded our expectations! Hands down the best hiking outfitters in Moshi.Written October 6, 2024

- 124agataj0 contributionsMagical experience!! - Kilimanjaro 7 Days Lemosho RouteIt was a magical experience for us, and a huge part of it was thanks to Habari team! It wasn't only a hike to the top of Kilimanjaro, it was experiencing the whole culture of the mountain and people. I am super happy we chose Habari also because it's a local company that cares about local people, and being there I could see how important that is. Each member of the team was very carrying, helpful, and always smiling, sharing positive energy. I think I never experienced such care before! The amount of work and heart they put into making our experience great is just unbelievable! It was beautiful to be able to sing together, learn about the culture, and learn a few words in Swahili! :) The organization was flawless, each day when we arrived to the camp our tents, toilets etc. were already set up for us, thanks to the porters who were walking faster to find the best spots and prepare everything for us. The tents and sleeping mats were comfortable, and very good quality. We also rented some equipment. The day before the hike started, we were checking our gear with the guides, and we could rent anything that was missing. The food was really delicious each day, especially the soups. We even had pizza one day! We are vegetarians and that was accommodated very well, we had proper meals each day. We had health checks each morning, and evening. But also during the hikes our guides cared if we feel okay, need a break etc. We summited successfully! Our guides and porters were extremely supportive during the summit night. They helped us to carry our backpacks and were motivating us during the energy crisis. :) If I do this again, which I'd love to, I will go with Habari again 100%! Asante sana Habari familia! :)Written October 6, 2024
- soniapT8265PZ0 contributionsHabari - 100% recommened8 day Northern Corcuit tour - I cannot fault this company in any way. We booked with them a year before our trip. They were very professional during the whole process. The climb itself was extremely well planned and organised - from guides, our health care (checked twice a day) to an extraordinary food and large comfortable tents. The is run by a local Tanzanian man called Stan who treats his staff very well and the company have a local charity - which we visited.Written October 6, 2024

- MaryElleinneV0 contributionsThe greatest company & people! Thank you HABARI Adventure!Where to start?! My experience with HABARI had been nothing short of Incredible! They really took great care of us, having conversations with us, going above & beyond, & welcoming our group to their family! From the beginning, communication with Stan & Caroline was smooth. Answered all of my inquiries. They are a local company & it seem that every guide/ porter I spoke with are happy with Habari. They also accommodated me & my very slow hiking pace. Hehe The food was delicious, I still think about some of those meals. Thank you chef “mama Jimmy” hehe!. Our guides- Sam, Abdi, Joseph, Innocent, Agustino were always so supportive & encouraging. I would like to thank Sam our guide who did not let me quit during Summit night & continued to push me & believe that I could make it. & to Samson one of the porters who also took such great care of me especially during Summit night & supported me all the way down to basecamp along with Jacobo. All 11 of us in our group reached Uhuru Peak. All the porters were incredible, friendly, considerate, strong. I have an utmost respect & admiration for each & everyone of them! I also booked Maasai tour and 1-day Safari with Habari (thank you Innocent our guide/driver to Maasai and to & from the airport & to the greatest Safari guide & photographer Michael) From the bottom of my heart, Asante Sana Habari Adventure! I miss you all & will be back soon. You made me fall inlove with Tanzania , especially the people! -ElleinneWritten September 30, 2024
- ebscalypso0 contributionsClimbing Kilimanjaro 8 day Northern Circuit4 of us climbed Kili with Habari last week, via the Northern Circuit and Gilmans Point. I couldn’t recommend this route or Habari more highly. The whole team, and our fantastic guides Yusuph and Big G took so much care to ensure not only that we summited but that we had an incredible experience every day. The ethos of Habari is so strong and holistic. We also visited the Habari Foundation on our last day, and the incredible work they do in schools providing for underprivileged children.Written September 28, 2024

- VicYerbs0 contributionsA family trip of a lifetime! Thank you Habari AdventuresAt the end of last year, we began to think about climbing Kilimanjaro. I sent out many enquiries asking companies for their thoughts on taking a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children aged 15, 13 and 11 - to the roof of Africa. Understandably, every company had reservations - everyone apart from Habari Adventures. Stan Wilfred's response was so warm and positive that we decided to go for it and we are so very glad we did. Our experience with Habari Adventures was simply incredible and their service was faultless. Prior to our trip, Stan was professional, knowledgeable and hugely passionate about ensuring we had the best possible trip. He helped us to tailor the itinerary to give our children the best possible chance of summiting and he had a wealth of advice on everything from flights and training to kit and tips. Everyone we met from Habari was warm, friendly and had a great sense of humour. They all loved working for Habari and described it as one big family that we soon felt we became a part of. Taking your 3 children to the top of Kilimanjaro is a very daunting experience but they did everything they could to ensure we were well-fed, comfortable and - most importantly for me - safe. Their guides are so experienced and we trusted them completely. With the twice daily health checks, we knew we were in good shape for summiting. Summit night was incredibly tough but our team of guides and porters were simply amazing - carrying our day bags, constantly encouraging us and intuitively knowing when to give us a break and when we to keep pushing us Standing on the roof of Africa with my family is one of - if not the - greatest experiences of my life and we are so grateful to Stan and his whole team at Habari Adventures.Written September 11, 2024

Stan organised a wonderful team led by Leon who were amazing and made this adventure happen for us. They organised the lovely food, detailed checks and motivated and supported the children when it got physically and mentally challenging. We could not have done it without them. They were incredible. The team of guides, porters, cooks and helpers were very planned. I will be forever grateful to them for this wonderful. I would highly recommend Habari Adventure. Habari team never lose.Written September 9, 2024
- Q975DWmelissam0 contributionsGroup of 5 Lemosho route success with HabariWould absolutely recommend Habari Adventure Group for a Mt Kili climb! We were looking for a more intimate, personal experience versus typical large group tourism type climb. We were a group of 5. From start to finish we received exceptional care! Above and beyond anything we could imagine. My Garmin watch needed to be charged and I lost my charging cord. Our guide Leon contacted another group, had a porter take my watch down to Barafu camp, once fully charged (5 hours) the porter went back down, picked up my watch and brought back to me at Kosovo camp so I could have my watch for summit night. This is just one example of the care Our group received. All I can say is they all were kind, caring, passionate and gave us the courage to overcome any doubts we had in making it to the summit, and….all 5 of us made it!Written September 5, 2024
- stephaniebG166XS0 contributionsUnforgettable Honeymoon: Kilimanjaro, Serengeti + Ngorongoro, & ZanzibarWe had the most incredible honeymoon experience with Habari Adventures! From the initial planning stages to the actual trip, everything was seamless. The communication was always clear and easy, making the entire process stress-free. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every detail was meticulously handled. We were even surprised with a visit from Stan, the owner, right before we left for our safari. Meeting the man behind the magic was a highlight, and it only deepened our appreciation for the care and dedication that went into planning our adventure. We felt completely looked after throughout our Kilimanjaro summit, safari, and Zanzibar vacation. Coming back home felt like we lived in a dream for the past two weeks. It was truly a dream come true, and we can't recommend Habari Adventures enough! Sharing some details from the trip below: Kilimanjaro 6 Days Machame Route: We chose to start our marriage with the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro because we believed that if we could conquer this together, we could face anything life throws our way. Abdi and Benson, our lead guides, were nothing short of amazing. However, everyone on our team quickly became like family. Each person played a crucial role, and when we share photos of our hike, we make sure to name every team member so we never forget them. The service and kindness we experienced were unparalleled. The team was always ready to answer any questions we had about the mountain, the local wildlife, what it's like to live in the area, and their personal stories. Coming from Denver, we had prepared for Kilimanjaro but still had concerns about summit day and our gear. Before we began the hike, Abdi and Benson conducted a thorough gear check to ensure we had everything we needed. Anything we lacked could be rented from Habari Adventures, and I highly recommend renting a portable toilet—while it’s an extra cost, it was a luxury on the trail. We were well-fed (thanks to mpishi ;), encouraged, and supported every step of the way. Our health and safety was the number one priority. Each night we would get our pulse and oxygen level monitored and if something wasn’t right, they would know what to do. No picture can truly capture the beauty and emotion of the experience. When we reached the summit, we all shed tears of joy, knowing we had just accomplished one of the hardest things we've ever done. Accommodation: BruBru Lodge & cute 2 room tent Safari- 3 Days Serengeti & 1 day Ngorongoro Crater: Octavian completely blew us away with his incredible wealth of knowledge and kind heart. His genuine passion for safari truly rubbed off on both my husband and me. We were delighted to be surprised with a "Happy Honeymoon" Jeep and a bottle of wine to celebrate our adventure. Each time we spotted an animal, the excitement was shared by all of us, and it only fueled our enthusiasm to continue the journey. We were incredibly lucky to spot all of the Big 5, which we know is extremely rare. ** Accommodation: We stayed at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge and the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, both of which offered stunning landscapes. At Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. They decorated our bed with flowers, left us a heartfelt note, and even prepared a beautiful flower arrangement at our table. Every employee knew we were the "honeymooners" and made us feel truly welcomed. The buffet was also one of the best I've ever had. Zanzibar: Although we had to book our own flights to Zanzibar from JRO, the process was a breeze. Octavian dropped us off at JRO, and our driver seamlessly picked us up and drove us to the Mahali Zanzibar Hotel. After the excitement and early mornings of the past few days, we were thrilled to finally sleep in. The lodge was extremely comfortable and inviting. We spent our days walking along the beach, sipping piña coladas, and relaxing by the pool for hours. The only excursion we chose was the Blue Lagoon snorkeling, which was absolutely perfect. We were so content with our low-key stay that we didn’t feel the need to do more, although I’m sure we would have enjoyed the other excursions as well. Thank you Habari Adventures for making this an unforgettable honeymoon. We can’t wait to bring our future kids back to Tanzania one day!Written August 30, 2024

Just a week ago we - my 2 friends and I - have successfully climbed one of the 7 summit peaks, Mount Kilimanjaro on the 6 day Umbwe route. Despite we have lot of backgrounds with the mountains, it was a really amazing experience to be on the top of Africa.
We chose the Umbwe route as it offers quick & direct path up to 4000 amsl, without too much people on the way :), but very scenic and crossing different vegetation zones. 6 days was right enough to reach the top and descend, with good acclimatization and no hurry to enjoy the mountain and the views. (Possibly it's doable in 5 days, but this might lower the probability of reaching the summit - depends on your conditions and experiences with altitudes.)
Having an excellent local tour operator is a necessary prerequisite for a successful climb, so we would highly recommend choosing Habari adventure & Stan (the owner) for your Kilimanjaro climb!
