We attempted to climb Kilimanjaroon a Habari Trek in 2022 but didn’t make it. We decided to try again in 2023 and this time did make it due to an excellent team and plan put together by the Habari management team and the Habari mountain trek team. Habari did a fantastic job in optimizing the acclimitization process and putting us at a higher base camp (Kossovo) for the final push to the top. We can’t say enough good things about Habari Adventure. After coming down from the summit we spent 3 days in Zanzibar which is a great way to recover from the climb.

Unexpectedly solo female after what may have been a cancellation from the other group I was supposed to travel with. Initially I was scared but by the end of the experience, this was the best thing that happened! Unbelievably caring and professional crew who I never thought I would miss this much at the end! (Evance, Elyasah, Abu, Remy, Sely, and Omboi). I got altitude sickness on summit night but with the team at Habari I managed to keep my spirit and mental game high and I made it to the summit! I am so grateful for them. I would highly recommend their services and the operation is seamless from supply to food to cleanliness, and very professional. It’s great to support a local business and I cannot recommend them enough.

I am lucky enough to have visited Tanzania in July and after research decided to use Habari Adventure because of the outstanding reviews. I'm happy to report that even the most positive reviews don't do this group justice. From the very beginning Caroline from Habari Adventure team made our experience as easy as possible - she was incredibly communicative and even proactively reached out to me as the travel requirements in and out. Once we got to Tanzania, we spent the first 4 days on safari with our incredible guide Hillary. WOW, what an experience! Not only did we see every animal we could have ever wished to see. Lions, cheetahs, rhinos, a jaguar, etc. but Hillary was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the largest of animals to birds to insects in Tanzania’s national parks. Not to mention, he's hilarious! The safari was truly 4 days of amazing scenery, close-up animal experiences and non-stop laughter. If you are considering going on a safari while in Tanzania you could not ask for a better team than Habari Adventure and Hillary! We spent the next week climbing Kilimanjaro’s Machame route and what an adventure it was!! Truly by the end of the trip every single guide and porter felt like family - I will forever remember how kind, thoughtful and fun loving the entire crew was. Emmanuel, Evance and Leon were our guides and each of them was knowledgeable about the mountain, our health and what to expect over coming days. Additionally, they were all a pleasure to spend time with - our climb was filled with tons of laugher, singing and joking around!! Also, the tent set up was comfortable and very clean and the food was delicious, thanks to our chef and kitchen crew, special shout out to Remmy and Eliasa!. I'll also mention, I had the unfortunate experience of getting quite sick on the mountain and Emmanuel, Evance and took care of me through the entire ordeal - checking in on me constantly, bringing me ginger tea and eventually. Evance, carrying my backpack down the mountain so I could get down safely. For an unfortunate situation, they made sure I felt safe, got back to health quickly and still had an incredibly positive experience. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this team - I will absolutely be traveling again with Habari Adventure and hopefully the team in Tanzania!! Thank you to the team made me to the top of Africa without them I couldn’t bear did it. Highly recommended this company for both Kilimanjaro and Safari Trip in Tanzania. In July we started our tour to Uhuru Peak. Before the tour started Caroline patiently answered all our questions and helped us to prepare ourselves for the upcoming adventure. After we arrived in Tanzania, we met her and our head guide Abdi in our hotel in Moshi to go through the tour details and to check all our equipment. The next day our amazing tour started. We were picked up at the hotel and met the incredibly friendly team and our second guide Evance. We soon realized that we were in the best hands to have a great time and make it to the summit. The food was always great and we were amazed by the delicious meals that were prepared for us with our chief Thomas . When we arrived at the camps our tent was already build up having our bags inside. Also the toilet tent which we additionally booked was already ready to use, best decision ever to extra book it - pure luxury. The daily hikes were most of the times us two and our both guides who know the area very well and told us about their culture and country while we were walking in a breathtaking environment. Every day was different: rain forest, dust, open Plateau, volcano stone… Every night Abdi and Evance came to our community tent where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner, for a health check to make sure we are alright. Summit night was definitely a challenge for us. Evance and Abdi were motivated and guided us through the night. They carried extra luggage e.g. our camera, extra water bottle when we felt weak on the way and reminded us to eat and drink. They always made sure we were ok and made our dream come true to reach the top of Africa! Thank you so much for making that happen! What an adventure, what a great time, what an incredible team! I highly recommend Habari Adventure you will have a good experience with them.

I did 7days Machame Route trek with Habari Adventure. This was an amazing experience and Habari Adventure did a great job! Caroline was very helpful in answering all of my questions during the booking process. Upon arriving at JRO airport Joe was there to pick me up as planned. My lodging in Moshi which included in the trek was wonderful! Evance and Abdi who were my guides met me at lodge the day prior to the trek and went over everything I should expect. They checked my gear and answered all of my questions. Evance and Abdi put together a trip of a lifetime they went way beyond what I actually required. As well as the cook Jimmy make sure my stomach be full by three hot meals every day and porters were all amazing! They all kept the spirits high through the entire trip. I would absolutely book with Habari Adventure again in the future because I don't want to miss the hospitality services from Habari team for Safari and Culture Tour and recommend any one out there to book with this wonderful and pleasant Local Company

My words won’t be able to describe well enough how grateful I am to Habari Adventure and especially to our wonderful guide Leon. I organized our 6 days Kilimanjaro climb on the Machame route from home, then a 2 days’ safari to Serengeti-Ngorongoro crater for me and my dad. I literally harassed the good people from Habari Adventure per e-mail beforehand and Caroline always answered quickly and thoroughly. Everything was perfectly well organized and I will never forget the time I spent in this country, especially on the Kilimanjaro. On the mountain, Leon and the whole team made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. They looked after us and constantly checked that my 78 years old dad was feeling OK. If needed, they carried his stuff, shared clothes with him to make sure he would be warm enough, regularly checked if we had any altitude sickness signs and for us to have enough food and remain well hydrated. We felt safe all the time and I haven't seen other guides being so concerned about their clients. I had the feeling that Leon was a true guardian angel for us and I can't recommend him warmly enough! Another word on Remmy, our cook, who prepared outstanding food and on Michael, his assistant who was our waiter and also a porter. They made everything with a smile although the conditions were very tough. These good people all rely on your tips, because the greatest part of the money you pay for your tours goes to the government, so please don't forget to be generous enough. Also, I realized that Habari Adventure was very serious about respecting the maximal amount porters are allowed to carry and that is extremely important. We had 8 porters for us two and this is normal given that they have to carry your belongings, the tents, food and water for a week. In the end, I can only say how heavy my heart was to leave Tanzania because I truly fell in love with this beautiful country and amazing people from Habari Adventure. Thank you for allowing us to achieve something so special and unforgettable in our life. 110% wholeheartedly I truly recommend Habari Adventure for anyone out there who wants to visit Tanzania

Me and my 12 yr old son summitted on June 30th with Habari Adventures. We did the 7 day Lemosho route. I can't thank enough the the entire crew of guides (Emmanuel and Tony), cook and porters that took great care of us. The food was amazing. We started our summit push a little late at 230 am on the advice of the guides. When my son was showing some symptoms of AMS they constantly kept encouraging him and even sang a bunch of songs to keep him going. We made it to the top after around 8 hours. Afterwards we did a 7 day safari and hand an incredible experience. I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Habari Adventures and Stan Wilfred to everyone here.

Me and my wife did the 6 day hiking on the machame route and had an awesome time with Mudy and his crew. We both made it to the top and are so happy to have the Habari Team that supported us.

We had the best time of our lives with Habari Adventure when climbing Kilimanjaro through the 7 day Lemosho route. It surpassed all of our expectations. We were very happy to have gone with Habari and felt we did an excellent decision (which was difficult given the number of companies providing these services). We were first drawn to Habari based on the excellent reviews already existing online. In addition, the price was much more competitive compared to other providers, after a careful and detailed research through the more 30+ providers. The value for money was incredibly high and if we were to do it again we would gladly do it with Habari. Here are some distinctive points that I think make Habari a great company to go with: - Stan, the owner of the company, answered all of our questions before the trip and was immensely flexible to accommodate our plans (as we also had a Safari with Habari and then we would go to Zanzibar). We were able to plan everything prior to arrival, which helped us feel safer, more comfortable and confident. We were very well received at the airpot by Stan. Communication prior to the trip was 5/5. - Leon and Abdi, our guides, informed as well of the plans which would take place over the following days. They were gentle, kind, patient, open, supportive and incredibly nice. Over the course of the next 7 days we became friends and we were happy to learn more about their culture, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Throughout the complete climb they were the best guides one could ask for, specially on summit push, which was incredibly challenging. By that time you will be happy to have someone you know you can trust your life. - The rest of the team, including porters and cook, were also very nice. Camp was set straightforwardly at arrival and the food was divine, both in terms of variety and quantity, and served in our tents. Hot water was always provided for washing in the morning and at arrival to camp. - We stayed at a nice hotel and on arrival even had our own private bungalow, which was unexpected! Many thanks to the Habari team (and family) for their great efforts they continuously put to make the most enjoyable experience to every of their clients. I am confident that if you choose Habari you will will be happy to have made such decision by the end. And if you, like myself, are googling and researching through the many companies, now is the right time to stop, send an e-mail to Stan and be sure to have a great experience. Best of luck!

It was not easy to choose a tour provider for our Kilimanjaro ascent, because the entire provider we found seemed to have a 5 star rating on Google & other platforms. Because Habari Adventure had a really good media presence in various channels Instagram, Facebook, Trip Advisor, Website etc. they convinced us too book them and we had a really fair price for our 7-days Machame route. We choose the medium price, but there is a more comfortable option as well. Before we came to Tanzania we wanted to make a prepayment for the tour, but neither WISE nor Western Union worked out. This felt a little suspicious to me, but it turned out that all is fine. We could also pay the tour in the Habari Adventure headquarter when we arrived in Moshi. The hotel "Panama Garden Resort ", which isn’t a little bit outside of the city center turned to be quite nice with a rooftop that enables a beautiful view on the Uhuru Peak. The staff was also really friendly and the rooms are totally okay. In our first days before the route started, we had time to arrive in Tanzania, got briefed by our guides Emma and Evance about the next 7 days and rent additional gear. I recommend starting the climb on the next day, to have time arrive and adapt well and without stress. The tour itself went accordingly to plan and we had a really good support from the whole crew. All the tents sleeping & dinning we're in place when we arrived at the camps, the food was varied, our waiter brought us hot tea to our tent every morning and our guides played a crucial role in our summit success story. They briefed us every evening for the next days, advised us what to wear, prepared us mentally for all the challenges and were even doctors. Also we learned a lot from them about the people, the culture and the country Tanzania itself. Our guides spoke fluent English, some Porters spoke okay english and some just a few words, but there was always a way to communicate. Thank you Habari Adventure for organizing this experience that we will remember for a lifetime. Special thanks to director Stan, Emmanuel, Evance, Jimmy, Alen, Ben, and the rest of the crew! For you its daily business, for us it’s a vision & dream came true, that inspired a lot of people around us, forever in our good memories best friends.

We did a 7-day Safari with Hillary. Absolutely fantastic guide! The vehicle was up to date and safe, and Hillary was a great guide and driver. We felt totally safe and like we were respecting the parks, plus we saw all kinds of things a less-qualified guide would not have seen. He knew all the animals, including birds! Outstanding. We did the basic camping safari, and though it was much cheaper than other options, we felt it was the best fit for us. The tents, cots, and sleeping bags were very comfortable. The food was well prepared, our chef Remmy worked extra hard to make sure we didn't slack off for the whole trip. All the dishes he prepared were healthy, and plentiful. Setting up the tour was easy, and the quote was reasonable. All around a great tour! I real enjoyed my big time in Tanzania with Habari Adventure with my whole heart I recommend them as a best company for Safari. Enjoy your time with them.

If you are thinking of hiking Kilimanjaro then I recommend Habari Adventure with my whole heart!! From my initial email to the company, Stan was friendly, helpful and prompts with all his responses! On the actual hike there were 3 of us and we had a team of 16 people supporting us. I cannot possibly emphasize how welcoming the entire teams were. We had 3 beautifully prepared meals by Remi, and served by Eugen every day. We were also never short of hot water for tea/coffee/hot chocolate and accompanying snacks! Eugen would wake us every morning on the hike and bring coffee and hot washing water to our tents. Every day on our arrival at camp we would be greeted with a beautifully set up site, then Allen would help clean off the dust from the day before showing us to our tents. Furthermore when booking onto an open hike a private loo is included within the total price which felt like a total luxury! Every single porter in our team was generous, kind, gentle and welcoming in a way that I have never experienced before. On summit night, having not struggled before, I started to struggle, Leon and Michael were absolutely unwavering in their kindness and support of my successful trip to the summit - carrying my stuff and Leon even held my hand for a small difficult section. Another big shout out to Muddy on summit night who somehow was able to read my mind at all times and helped me with literally everything - from fixing my head torch, helping me sort my various layers, making sure I had eaten and drank enough, he took my phone to ensure I would have some photos at the top and did so always with a smile - I never once felt a burden. After summiting, I was told to descend quickly with Leon who when we had descended far enough provided me with snacks and drinks and put me totally at ease. What I cannot emphasize enough from all the help I received was the nature with which it was given. The teams were ever smiling, kind, gentle and just completely wonderful. If you are considering hiking Kilimanjaro I cannot recommend it enough, especially when done with Habari Adventure. Big thank you to the whole team at Habari Adventure for making this the trip of a lifetime and when I will remember fondly for the rest of my life!!

The end of May we had a wonderful time with Habari Adventure on a 10-days safari trip. The accommodations were great and of high standards, the food was amazing, they take care of your special diet needs if you have any. The trip itself is just mesmerizing. If you want to see the great migration for yourself, do it and you won’t regret it, and Habari Adventure is a trusted agency to make this a wonderful journey for you. Our driver and guide Ronald was a very friendly guy with over 15 years of experience. He gave us a lot of information about the animals, the plants and even about Tanzanian culture along the way. He was very skillful in driving as well as spotting animals. He also worked great with other drivers to find the ones that are hard to find, we actually found 3 cheetahs together with 3 other cars. Also he provided great service in other aspects during the safari, setting up nice picnics, always keeping the car clean, and helping us with other needs we had. He made it very clear with actions that he would do his best to make your journey a memory of a lifetime. I definitely recommend him to anyone that wants to travel with Habari Adventure!

My friend and I had experienced a memorable trip visit Tanzania with around 7 days Safari in Serengeti, Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. We had a great experience with Habari Adventure throughout the trip from planning until end of the Safari. All arrangements were aligned with us in advance and clarified before the Safari started, time schedule, hotel, pick-up, drop-off from airport etc. It was a superb experience to have Living as our guide. He is very experienced, responsible, knowledgeable and humorous, and he is also a great story teller and photographer. During the Safari, we observed the majority of the animals including all big fives and a lot of others. He taught us how to observe animals and identify the features/family/gender of them as well. Living also shared plenty of stories about wildlife, animals, local culture/language, and music. He is also a very caring person. If anyone needs help, he was eager to support and help. To be highlighted, He is also very good at taking video/photos. We captured the best memories as team with Living together during the trip. Additionally, the food, water, hotel and other amenities were also arranged with great quality. We are very satisfied with entire trip. This Safari trip is excellent and beyond our expectation. I'd fully recommend Habari Adventure and Living if you would like to plan a Safari trip in Tanzania.
