From picking us up from airport to guiding us thru hiking to the summit, taking care of our food and necessities, dropping us off, they were extremely helpful. The Habari team is unparalleled! They took amazing care of myself and 3 girlfriends (ages 35-39) as we climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro on the 8 day Lemosho route. Everything was professional, clear, and fantastic. We had great communication with Stan prior to the trip, including gear guides and rental and what to expect. Ali (who was wonderful) picked us up at the airport, took us to the gates to begin the trek and picked us up at the end. Our incredible guides, Joseph and Awalli, chef MK, additional guides Evance and Deo, waiter Abu, porter Ramadan, photographer Decha, and the entire team made us feel like queens. They helped us with anything we needed, joined in on our frequent spontaneous dance parties, were always ready with an encouraging smile (especially Abel) and patiently answered our hundreds of questions. They took care of every detail, allowing us to focus on the climb and enjoy the experience. We felt like family by the end of the trip and it was so hard to say goodbye. I can't thank them enough for helping us all successfully summit and having a dance party with us at the top! Kilimanjaro is like nothing I've ever experienced. There is nothing like starting out in the dark, with the beauty of the stars overhead, and getting to the summit just as the sun rises over the horizon. We were lucky with the weather with clear skies and little wind at the summit, and only one day of rain over the entire trek (we went at the end of September). I can't recommend Habari enough. They are an incredible team to journey with and they truly care about the mountain and the community. They only hire local guides and porters so your money goes to the actual community who live around the mountain. They also have a foundation for local children's education. Our guide Joseph helped us pick up trash for an entire day as we climbed (it felt so good to get some of the rubbish off the mountain - please pack out what you pack in!). I am so grateful to them for our amazing, incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience and I miss them all. <3

We did Kilimanjaro hike in September 2024. After assessing a number of options we chose Habari Adventures for our trip, a 7 day Lemosho Route that started 6/10/24. Very impressed with the service provided from pre trip communications, collection at airport, accommodation in Moshi then of course the hike. From day one of hike the support, guidance, planning, food and accommodation accommodation was excellent. Special mention to our guides Evance and Innocent and Michael for keeping us smiling every day as he took our food to us! Knowing what I know now would I still choose Habari Adventures for a Kilimanjaro adventure absolutely yes!!!! Thanks again!

Cannot rate Habari high enough! From the moment we messaged Stan to enquire about our trip until we said our goodbyes, he was always very responsive and helpful with any questions we had (and we had a lot). I travelled with my 2 daughters, and we were provided a 3 man tent, and our own toilet. Our group had 2 other solo travellers, with about 18 porters and 2 guides, Oscar and Benny. Our whole team was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. They did everything they could to make sure our climb was enjoyable, safe and successful. 2 medical checks a day, minimum of 2 hot meals a day (always breakfast and dinner, most days a hot lunch), tents ready on arrival and cleaned our shoes and bags of dust. They even went the extra mile of providing a birthday cake and drink at camp on day 4 for 2 of those celebrating their birthdays. We then did a 3 day safari with Octavian who was outstanding. So knowledgable, kind and funny. He did everything he could to enable us to experience seeing the Big 5, and nothing was too much trouble. Habari accommodated all our needs and more, all transfers and hotels were included, and we felt it was great value for money. What a fantastic experience - thanks Habari!

I summited Mt. Kilimanjaro with Habari Adventure on 28th October and could not have asked for a better company to help me get there! Travelling to Tanzania for me was not only about climbing Kili and doing the Safari but also learning about Tanzanian culture. And I am so happy that Habari was my gateway to learning the rich Tanzanian culture and experiencing its hospitality. From our guides (Abdy and Godlysten) , to all our porters (George, Abdalla, Evans, Samsun, Imanuel to name a few ) to our cook (Mama Thomas) every member of the team was extremely professional and it was very evident that they took pride in the work and their responsibility to represent Tanzania. Habari crew surely made every day so much fun from dawn to dusk that the 8 challenge filled days seemed easy and everyday seemed to pass in a jiffy. By the end of it I felt that I had found a new family in Tanzania and extremely sad that the epic fun ride was coming to an end. I knew the name of all of them by the end of the trip and will truly will miss all of them! Thanks so much Habari for making this trip an amazing memory and for all your help in ensuring I summit Kili! I enjoyed my experience summiting the mountain so much that I also booked a Safari with them and they did not disappoint. It ended up being a private tour and guide Hilary was amazing. The jeep was super clean and stocked up with drinks including Kili Beer! Hilary was so well versed with information about animals as well had such a great eye to look for them. I was especially impressed when he saw a rhino so far that I had to use a binoculars to see it. Thanks Hilary for the amazing adventure where I got to see so many animals which I thought would not be possible in 3 days!

The experience with Habari adventure was simply outstanding. All five of us made it to the summit, including two of us in our 70s. We had medical checks by medically trained personnel twice a day, including examination of lungs daily. After witnessing multiple helicopter evacuations on the day that we made summit, I would never climb Kilimanjaro without a trained person checking my lungs. We feel very confident with Habari and thoroughly enjoyed our summit day.

We took our family “trip of a lifetime” to Africa in Aug 2024. Habari helped us plan a custom safari for my out family of 6. (Grandma, mom, dad and 3 teenagers) The early communication was EXCELLENT. Stan helped us select lodges to fit our budget and adjusted our itinerary to optimize the schedule to see as much as we could but also have some time to enjoy the lodges. Our driver and guide (Michael) was AWESOME. Super genuine and friendly. Very knowledgable on the country, culture and animals. A very good and safe driver. An excellent game spotter. Vehicle was in great condition (which we lived in for 8 hrs or more every day and it takes a beating on the rough roads). He helped us check all our boxes - we saw all the small animals we wanted to see, hair air balloon ride, wildebeest migration crossing, etc. We highly recommend Habari. If we are lucky enough to return to hike Kilimanjaro we will be booking with them.

I can't fault anything! The boss Stan runs a tip top local Company here... from booking.. to pick up.. the hotel stay.. ALL the staff and porters were 1st class. The equipment was decent from tents.. to hired poles and sleeping bags. Food was plentiful. The guides from Abdi, Innocent, Samson and others were happy.. friendly.. approachable.. and kept the team smiling and motivated! There was 11 in our group.. we all summitted!

Habari Adventures were amazing from start to finish. Stan and Caroline were terrific with answering so many questions and with the last minute changes to my plans. All the crew were fabulous - the food, the help, the motivation - they were like family. I had an amazing team and was with a small group - 3 lovely guys from Florida. The experience was amazing - the wonderful scenery going up and summit morning although tough was incredible. I would DEFINITELY recommend using this company !

My husband and I hiked Mount Kilimanjaro (8 day Lemoshe) and completed a 4 day safari with Habari Adventures in September 2024. The trip was truly amazing!! Not only did we see beautiful scenery we also experienced great service with Habari. I cannot say enough good things about the guides, porters, crew during the hike. The team took great care of us and all were very kind and compassionate getting us to the top of Kilimanjaro. The safari was exceptional as well. The safari guide/driver was very knowledgeable about the animals and ensured we kept enough distance so as not to disturb. Both tours were well organized, included good food and equipment/gear for the hike. I would highly recommend Habari Adventures and hope one day I can return so I can continue exploring Tanzania. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I cannot recommend habari enough. We did the 8 day lemosho route to give ourselves time to acclimate and loved it. We went at the end of October and it was perfect as we practically had the mountain to ourselves! Our priorities were finding a company that was local, ethical, well-reviewed, and affordable. Habari checked all of these boxes and more. I was at first concerned that the company is not in kpap, but as far as we could tell the staff were treated very well and habari appears to comply beyond the kpap requirements. Our guides, Abdi and Godlisten, were absolute professionals and so much fun; asante sana. Our entire crew treated us with the highest level of service and care that I’ve ever received. Asante sana to Chef Mama Thomas for the delicious food, to George and Emmanuel for serving us every meal, to Joseph for addressing all of our campsite and tent needs, to Evance the pilot for the high quality private toilet and dance moves, to Samson for polishing our shoes everyday, to Clemance for washing our many dishes, to Innocent for driving us, and to Abdallah, Thomas, Isihak, Julias, Elias, Ivan, Serevius, and Humphrey for carrying everything needed up and down the mountain, for helping with our daypacks, and for setting up the camp each day. Thank you also for your laughter and joy and Swahili lessons. The plan for each day was clearly communicated and all questions were welcomed. All of the equipment was great quality and the team always made sure our campsite and tents were set up perfectly. Every meal was plentiful and delicious. Our health, safety, and comfort were consistently prioritized throughout. One of our group members fell quite sick and the whole crew constantly checked in and helped out to make sure she recovered. THE best experience ever! From contacting the company to ask about prices/packing to the very last day celebrating together, Habari Adventure delivered it all! The care with the team was amazing, the food was delicious (every single day something different!), the team was beyond 5 stars with their care to every one of us! Climbing Kili was way better with Habari for sure, I super recommend it! Stan's company is very involved within the community and as far as I gathered, he pays fairly well to the team members.

First, huge thanks to our two outstanding guides, Evance and Jackson, who led us every step of the way with wisdom, kindness, and unmatched expertise. Their insights into the terrain and encouragement at every challenging stage made all the difference. They knew exactly how to pace us for success, keeping us motivated and always feeling prepared for the next day’s trek. Jackson even taught us a few Swahili phrases like, “Mambo? Poa kichizi kama ndizi ndani ya friji!”—adding an extra layer of connection and fun to the journey! Special mention to Mama Jimmy, our "stomach engineer," whose meals were not just delicious but perfectly balanced to keep us fueled and energized. He brought comfort to our journey, creating incredible meals even at high altitudes. Gerald, our waiter, brought his positive energy and friendly smile to every meal. Whether it was serving up tea in the morning or bringing us dinner after a long day, he kept us feeling welcomed and at home, no matter how cold or tired we were. Our summit supporter, Alan, provided that crucial support for the final push to Uhuru Peak. His encouragement and care during that critical ascent were instrumental in getting us to the top. We also couldn’t have made it without Soldier and Kizanga, who supported us on the summit descent with skill and care. Kizanga also took care of our internet cafe for which we are very grateful. Lastly, a big shoutout to our powerhouse tent crew—Jaffad, Aron, and Karim Abdul—who made sure our tents were ready and comfortable every day. Their hard work ensured that we had warm, safe, and dry rest spots, no matter the weather. The entire team worked in harmony making sure we had an unforgettable experience. Habari Adventure has an exceptional crew, and we’re grateful for every member who contributed to our Kilimanjaro journey. We’ll carry these memories with us forever, and we recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking to take on this challenge. I could never say enough about Habari Adventures and their team of experts, guides, porters. There is not a single person in the company who won’t go above and beyond to make sure your experience in Tanzania is special and what you want it to be. From day 1 even booking the trip, every detail was covered and every kindness was offered. You expect the journey of climbing Kilimanjaro to be intense, amazing, beautiful - but you don’t anticipate the way the team of strangers guiding you and supporting you will change the focus to one of love and friendship and solidarity. They cared for every single need, those we knew we had (porter help) and those we never knew were so important (health checks, delicious food, dry tents, support, motivation).
