We had a fabulous safari experience. From the moment Gerry picked us up at the airport we felt welcomed and comfortable in Tanzania. Gerry has incredible experience, knowledge and expertise of all things Tanzania, the animals in the four parks we visited and of local customs. We saw every animal we had hoped for (knowing it was not guaranteed) in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and the crater. We also had a great cultural experience in Mto Wa Mbu and got to hike about 10 miles of Kilimanjaro. We had four kids with us and Gerry made them feel very welcome and comfortable. The trip was absolutely a success!

The whole organization phase was very simple. We had the opportunity to customize the tour and our contact person was always ready to respond promptly to any question of any kind. The cars are spacious and very comfortable. They are equipped with wifi and electrical sockets, they allow you to cross fords of 60-70cm. Furthermore, every morning the car was very clean, both inside and out, even after muddy and dusty journeys. The hotels and structures where we slept all offered good quality services and the food was always excellent. all the staff were very kind, welcoming and attentive to our needs. Finally, the most important part, Jackson, our local guide who accompanied us for 8 days on our entire trip. Jackson is the best guide you can have. He is a very expert guide who knows Tanzania like the back of his hand. Thanks to his global knowledge of both the local culture and the naturalistic part, the trip becomes a real documentary. We managed to see all the most beautiful animals on the planet, discovering all their secrets. We learned so much about every living being in Tanzania and the Masai culture. We also managed to see many rhinos, cheetahs and leopards! In addition, Jackson is a kind, empathetic and funny person, with whom you can joke and spend the many hours of driving in serenity and joy. In short, a person you can trust blindly in every aspect. We can't wait to come back again!

Savannah Explorers exceeded our expectations for our safari! Isaac was our guide and he was amazing at finding animals and stopping to give us time to enjoy them. The lodging and food were excellent. Agustin did a great job putting our trip together with a couple custom modifications. Overall highly recommended and a great value!

Excellent experience on this once in a life-time tailor-made safari trip to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tanagire, and Manyara national parks / conservation areas. We saw so many more animals than we could have imagined possible - all at close quarters - and all with the help of Paul, our experienced and attentive driver / guide.

Savannah Explorers made this bucket list trip an unforgettable experience. From the initial outreach and planning, Agustin made everything so easy and was incredibly responsive to our requests and revisions. During the safari, Jackson was an amazing guide. He’s friendly, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and history. Owing to his great skills spotting and pointing out animals, we managed to see 52 different animals, including all of the big five, in five days. We couldn’t be more thrilled.

This was hands down one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. Our safari driver, Emmanuel was absolutely amazing. For three days, he made sure we witnessed the most incredible animal experiences. We were front row for the great migration of wildebeests (only happens couple times a year), saw family of lions (multiple times), a pregnant cheetah, a cheetah eating his kill, got super close to elephants, and we saw a bunch of other amazing things. I can’t recommend this tour and driving with Emmanuel enough!

Went on a 3 night safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and lake Manyara. The whole trip was amazing. The company were communicative and informative from the first pre-trip inquiry. Micky was very responsive throughout - thanks! Our safari guide, Samuel, was exceptional. He ensured we saw the big 5 and was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional and flexible. Having been on many Safari’s, this guide was the best I have ever had. I would highly recommend this company if you want a trip of a lifetime.

My friends and I had a wonderful time on this trip! We were very lucky to see the tail end of the wildebeest migration, as well as so many other animals including families of lions, elephants, and even a rhino to round out the big 5. Emanuel was an excellent driver, very knowledgeable and professional guide, and took great care of us throughout the four day tour! Not only did he put us front and center to see so many animals, he shared information about the different species of flora and fauna and the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. My husband and I booked a private 10 day, 9 night Ngorogoro, Serengeti, Zanzibar & Other trip with Savannah Explorers and had the most amazing time. We booked our trip fairly last minute (about a month and a half before travel) but Savannah Explorers were extremely helpful in ensuring the coordination and organization of our safari was simple and painless. From our initial contact with Micky (our tour consultant), to our very last transfer, everything was handled with professionalism and ease. Micky made sure that all of our wishlist items/activities were planned into the schedule without making things too busy or chaotic. He even helped facilitate a last minute request to learn about, and purchase Tanzanite (a beautiful gemstone only mined in Tanzania) through a reputable distributor at a discounted price. Our driver and guide Sam transported us to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorogoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park all while providing us with amble information on the people, animals, and culture of the regions. Sam always made sure we had enough time throughout the day to see and visit all the locations but never felt rushed. He knew when we needed to sit, wait, and be patient to see the animals we wanted to see and when to move to another location. Because of Sam's knowledge and expertise we were able to see "the Big 5" (Lion, Water Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard, and Elephant) as well as multiple Wildebeest river crossings for the Great Migration. The accommodations and food at every stop were outstanding and the hospitality we experienced at every location was unparalleled (photos attached). We added 3 additional excursions to out trip (at an additional cost) but were all well worth the extra expense: - hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti - visit to a Maasai village - Olduvai Gorge (cradle of civilization) After 6 days on safari, we flew from the Serengeti to Zanzibar to stay at the Z Hotel in Nungwi. This resort is absolutely stunning with top notch service, and a great way to rest and relax after many bumpy, action packed days on safari. The resort's main restaurant "Sexy Fish" provided amazing, high quality food and drinks accompanied by great views. Thank you Sam, Micky, and Savannah Explorers for providing an outstanding, once in a lifetime experience. Semle our guide went above and beyond to make sure our safari was unforgettable and that we saw everything possible! We managed to see the big five which an incredible experience. We were amazed how close we got to the animals and we had so many close encounters. We had a lion and lioness walking in fron of our car which Semle got us there first as he knew exactly where to go. His years of knowledge of the parks made our experience 100 times better. The communication with Savannah Explorers was really easy and they kept in touch all throughout the booking and safari by whatsapp which was very easy.

This wasn’t a holiday but an experience of a lifetime which everyone should have. Our amazing Guide Thomas made our Safari a truly memorable one. We saw the Big 5 amongst other great animals. We loved the accommodation we were put in and the timings to look for these great animals and finding their location by Thomas was impeccable. The Miracle Hot Air Balloon experience was incredible too. I would highly recommend Thomas our guide and your co pilot Vanitha says hi 👋 too. It was like a dream that you don’t want to wake up from 😀👍🙏🏻

We travelled for a Safari trip on our honeymoon with Savannah Explorers and it was absolutely amazing. Everything about the 4 day trip was incredible. Our guide, Jackson, was so knowledgeable, professional, kind, and friendly & he brought us on an incredible trip to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater. We saw all the big 5 plus much more (we actually saw the big 9!) often super close, we were lucky enough to see a 1 month old baby elephant with its herd only 5 meters from the car! - it was so special and we will remember this trip forever. 5/5 would recommend, our expectations were blown away! We organized our honeymoon Safari with Savannah Explorers and I'm not scared to say we had the best time of our life. "Gran Safari" program has been amazing, visiting all the major parks we had the chance to see all the animals. Also thanks to the best guide ever Daniel ("Dani"), very careful, trustable and with lot of experience. The timetable has been respected and everything was magical.
