This was the best trip of my life. We had an 8-day tour in Kenya. I had tears in my eyes when leaving because it was so much fun. Thompson arranged an awesome trip for us and he was really helpful and communicative. We loved our entire journey. Our driver John was the best, he took great care of us and was super experienced and he really worked hard to get us see all the animals and cross every single one on our wishlist. We saw everything we wanted to see and so much more that we didn’t expect. Words can’t describe how much fun we had and we cannot wait to come back for another trip.

John our tour guide and driver was knowledgeable and reliable. We saw all the animals on our bucket list during the trip. The naturals scenes he drove us to was also breathe taking.

Complete disaster and terrible service. I was due to go on this trip to the Crater and Serengeti after the 6 day hike up Kilimanjaro using the Marangu route. I felt quite I’ll after the climb as it was very stressful with this tour group the last day (see my other review), so I spent the whole day after getting the emergency car to the hotel in bed. Despite WhatsApping and emailing their representatives, I received no communication from Africa Joy Tours about what time I would get collected for the tour. They said in the morning so I presumed 7am. The mini bus came at 5am and I was asleep. They called the room and said they wouldn’t wait for me. So they left. I had already paid $450 and they refused to give me a refund. The whole thing felt like a scam.

Such an excellent Safari experience with our guide James Saitoti.He is a very experienced Safari expert!We saw most main animals in Serengeti.And we also saw two rhinos and a group of flamingoes in Ngorongoro.We are so lucky to have James with us.

We recently completed a 3 day Meru climb. Calvin was a wonderful guide -- he knows the mountain and provided great support on summit day. His team was also super helpful -- Augustino made camp life fun, Chili is an excellent cook, and Gifty helped with guiding. Thank you Africa Joy!

It’s hard to put into words how amazing this hike was and how amazing the crew at Africa Joy is. Bryson was an amazing lead guide and everything was organized flawlessly. His guidance and expertise on the mountain cannot be matched. Apson was such a great assistant guide and was so knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna. Emanuel was awesome on our way to the summit and everything in between and was fun to talk to about everything we were going to be doing on our Safari and in Zanzibar after our climb. Our waiter/porter David was so friendly and always had inspirational words for us to keep us in a positive mindset. The cook and the rest of the porters were great. We would not have made it to the it without everyone on the crew. Thompson was very responsive via email and answered the numerous questions we had before flying across the world to do this climb. Beyond being extremely professional and getting us up the mountain easily, the team treated us like family. It was clear they truly cared about our well being and happiness. They went above and beyond in every possible way to make us successful ok our trek. I cannot recommend Africa Joy enough!

We were on an eight day trip to Tanzania with Africa Joy Tours. The 2 guide jeeps were Jams and Joakim. They were excellent and answered all our requests along the way. The guides were very familiar with the animals found on the safari. The hotels were excellent, which I will add to the excellent experience of the trip. Without a doubt made a taste for another trip with Africa Joy Tours

Travelling with Africa Joy Tours was awesome. Everything was perfectly organized including the pick-up and drop-off at the airport. We did a three-day-hike up to the summit of mount Meru. Bryson, our tour guide, helped us to reach the summit in time for the sunrise, which was an amazing view we’ll never forget. His team organized our sleepovers in the different camps very well and prepared very nice meals for us (breakfast, lunch, dinner and water were included). After the hike we did a safari for five days. Joachim was the perfect guide, new all the good spots to see the animals (lions, elefants, zebras, leopards, hippos, rhinos etc.), had a lot of information for us and speeks very good German. We stayed in tented camps, which were all amazing and offered nice food, and one night in a public camp, in the middle of the Serengeti parc, which was an unique experience. The communication with the agency was very easy via WhatsApp. The combination of the two activities, the length of our trip and the accommodations were individually combined for us. We can definitely recommend to travel with Africa Joy Tours.

Awesome 10days camping safari via Africa Joy Tours with Praygod, our guide and driver, and Rama, our chef. Clinton assured a great and uncomplicated preparation at short notice and replied very fast via WhatsApp. Praygod and Rama always took great care of us during the trip: Praygod drove very safe and shared a lot with us about the nature, the animals and the country. He is a professional and knowledgeable guide. We got to see many (even rarely seen) animals on the game drives and Praygod always made sure we had a great position to watch the animals. Rama cooked super delicious food everyday - 3 meals a day. The trip was absolutely perfect! We highly recommend the operator Africa Joy Tours, Praygod as a guide and Rama as a cook.

It was well organized. We did everything on the itinerary and saw the big five. Our driver drove very well and had the answers to basically all of our questions. The living situation is also worth the money.

We are a couple and spent 14 days&13 nights in Kenya and Tanzania mainly for safari. Thanks for Africa Joy and Clinton, we have experineced everything that we expected, the Big Five (especially big cats), great migration and mara river-crossing, early morning hot air balloon and Kilimanjaro one-day hiking, which are definitely our lifetime memories. We also appreciate our driverguide, which is critical to the feel on the go. We had David in our Kenya part, who is very reliable, experienced and diligent, and brought us a perfect start in Nakuru and Masai Mara. We had Erick in part of Tanzania, who is really good at finding wild animals, and introduced us the Tanzania from his eyes, more like a friend of us. But we had pity in Serengeti due to our driver at that time. The thing that worried us most was our jeep had two problems in two days and our driver was just thinking about how to cover the truth. And we can't call him a guide because we required for a game drive not sightseeing (which even can be done by ourselves), most time he only took us and showed us the animals spotted by the road, very lazy and negligent. Thanks for the owner Clinton, a reliable and easy-communicate guy who seems working 24 hours a day, helped us solve the problem very on time. Overall it's a very nice and unforgettable trip for us. We are a couple of four and had an amazing time in Serengeti national park! We saw many animals thanks to our experienced tourguide. The car is spacious and guarantees everyone of us has a window seat. The accommodations are great, all in all we had a wonderful time in Tanzania! Strongly recommended.

I travelled with Africa joy for a 10 days trip in Kenya and Tanzania together with my 3 friends. They organized it well. The hotels they arranged during the whole trip are super nice. All the sight seeing places are included and with all professional guide. Out guid Eric is good at Safari.he is very experienced and take us to see the migration and all big Five. They make our trip fantastic. Highly recommend if you would like to have a great trip in Kenya and Tanzania

We are from Hungary, not especially experienced hikers. Age: 19, 40, 46, 48, 69. The Africa Joy team had 22 people who supported us with their positive mindset, good and healthy food, carrying our personal stuff, set up tents .. We could not have reached the peak without them. We have got remarkable memory from them. If you want to climb Kilimanjaro, we heartily recommend them!

We hired Africa Joy Tours for a bespoke experience driving from one lodge to another that we’d already booked, with a safari at Lake Manyara on the way. The driver was punctual and competent and if you’re looking for someone to take you from point A to point B then I would recommend them. For us there was a mistake where the office told our driver our itinerary had changed without speaking to us which caused a lot of confusion and delay for the safari part of the excursion as we really had to insist we do it. I wouldn’t have minded as much if they’d seemed at all apologetic or like they wanted to fix the problem without us insisting on either a refund for the safari part of the day or for them to sort it out. I understand mistakes sometimes happen and I appreciate that the owner sorted it out even if no one ever apologised for the issue. On the actual safari part the driver seemed to want it done as quickly as possible and didn’t do any real spotting or guiding. The animals we saw were because we spotted them and had to ask him to stop or go back. He also didn’t speak to other drivers we passed about where animals were for instance or have any water available for us, which are pretty typical for safari guides. We went back the next day with a different company and it was a completely different and better experience. Maybe if we’d gone on one of their existing tours it would have been better but after this experience we wouldn’t use them again. The customer service aspect was just not enough.
