Phenomenal experience with Victor with Pangolin Safaris
I cannot emphasize this enough: Your Safari Guide Matters. They will really make or break your Safari experience since they are not only shuttling you around from place to place, but also spotting animals for you to see and keeping you safe throughout your entire trip. If they do not have the experience or knowledge, your trip will suffer. We just came back from our Safari trip with Victor from Pangolin Safaris and it was so clear how much more experience Victor had in comparison to the other drivers from other Safari companies we encountered. The major callouts I want to highlight are: 1. Network of Guides Victor has 20+ years of experience as a Safari Guide and with his experience comes an entire network of Guides he's formed a relationships with over the years. You can tell that he's a popular guy and many of the other guides from other companies are good friends with him. This network comes in handy when you're trying to find the animals. Victor will often radio, call, or text his close comrades and they'll let each other know what they've seen. With the help of his network, we were able to get up close and personal with so many animals 10-15 minutes before the crowd of cars got the message and showed up. 2. Catered Experience Every evening when we would be dropped off at our Lodge, Victor would ask us what we wanted to see the following day. Based off of that, he would recommend a time for us to get started. And when we went, without fail, he would deliver on what we wanted. Call it luck or skill but the man is literally a magician. On our last day (since we had quite literally seen everything already -- including the big 5 multiple times), we asked Victor to show us hyenas and vultures feeding. He took us to this remote area where no other Safari cars were seen and sure enough we were able to see multiple sightings of animals feeding -- including over 100 vultures feeding on a dead elephant and a Hyena carrying a fresh zebra leg back to it's den of cubs. It got so ridiculous how much Victor was able to deliver that we started to joke around that we wanted to see Santa Claus and Unicorns. 3. Safety The roads from location to location are 90% unpaved. the condition of your vehicle and the skill of your driver matters. Upon inspection of our car and the many cars around us, we noticed Victor had some of the best & newest tires, new shocks, and all around a sturdier looking vehicle. Oftentimes we would see a car zoom by us on a bumpy road, only to see them broken down and changing a tire 20 minutes later. On another occasion, Victor noticed another driver from a different tour company had a huge bubble in his tire. He told the drive he should pull over and change but the driver refused and asked him not to say anything to his clients. Can you imagine your driver deliberately putting you in danger? This made us realize how lucky we were to have Victor from Pangolin Safaris. He kept us safe and allowed us to maximize our time. Overall, this experience could not have been what it was without Victor from Pangolin Safaris. I'm convinced that he's the #1 Safari Guide in all of Tanzania. His experience in the industry was clearly unmatched as it was noticable that he was a Leader amongst all other guides from all other companies. Thank you so much Pangolin Safaris for making the booking process so effortless and thank you Victor for a truly unforgettable experience!

        AMAZING Safari Trip!
I was recommended going with African Pangolin Safaris to see the Great Migration. Right off the bat, Mansoor impressed me with his professionalism and expertise. He was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive while he helped me plan the perfect itinerary for our trip. We really maximized our time there with fun game drives during the day and luxurious lodgings to relax at in the evenings. Victor our guide, was a magician! We started asking him to find Santa Claus because somehow he was able to find every animal we requested to see. Not only that, he was an extremely skilled driver- the ride was as smooth as the bumpy roads could allow and he was able to finesse the car into the ideal viewing position amidst a crowd of other safari trucks. He was also able to time many animal road crossings perfectly, parking us in the perfect spot to view giant herds of animals pass right in front of our truck multiple times. Watching him strategize where to take us, network with the other guides, and how nature the utmost respect, you can really see his 20+ years of experience and the pride he has in being a guide. I would 100% go with Victor and African Pangolin Safaris again!

        Wonderful Safari
We recently did a 4 night safari with African Pangolin Safaris as a family of 5. I would absolutely recommend them for a quality budget safari. We chose them as their quote was very reasonable compared to other budget safaris but their service and response to questions was excellent prior to going. Our driver Michael was great- kind, professional and a very safe driver! The experience was amazing. I have always wanted to visit Ruaha as it is a little more remote than other parks. We drove from Dar and spent 1 night Mikumi, 2 nights Ruaha and a final night in Mikumi before heading back to Dar. Game drives were great- we saw so much, the highlight was a pride of lions and a leopard. Driving was long but the drive between Mikumi and Ruaha is absolutely spectacular through the Udzungwa mountains. We stayed in Ruaha Hilltop lodge- wonderful service and breathtaking views - and Bastian camp in Mikumi which I would also definitely recommend. If I did this trip again I would possibly do 2 nights together in Mikumi and 2 nights in Ruaha and then fly back to Dar from Iringa as the drive back felt a little too long. Honestly, an incredible and magical experience for our family.

An amazing safari experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend African Pangolin Safaris.
Had read reviews for African Pangolin Safaris online and messaged asking for more details. Really impressed by all the information I received from Mansoor. Any enquiry was quickly answered and booking was simple with a small deposit to pay. Mansoor was so helpful and gave suggestions on where to stay prior to going on safari, afterwards, ferry company to use for Zanzibar etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Once in Dar Es Salaam, we were picked up early at agreed time by our friendly guide Mike. We then drove the 6-7 hour journey to Mikumi National Park stopping off for toilet and refreshments when required, and also for lunch. Mike was friendly and chatty and gave lots of information and was a careful driver. Mike was our guide for the full 3 day, 2 night safari and we can't recommend him enough. He showed us so many animals and as it was a private safari for the 3 of us he stopped for as long or as little as we wanted. We learnt so much and saw so many amazing animals and felt safe at all times. We stayed in a cottage inside the National park which was great to get the full experience and meant we could start our game drive early which was a great time for seeing the animals out and about. Would 100% recommend African Pangolin Safaris for great service, friendly people, value for money and an experience we'll never forget!

        Amazing and unforgettable experience!
Together with two friends I booked the 6 day safari tour at African Pangolin Safaris. I would highly recommend it! The organization and tour guide are friendly, professional and very thoughtful. The schedule is very varied. In a short time you will see a lot of (part of) Tanzania! I have experienced the safaris as the best. We saw a lot of animals and it was a beautiful setting. The tour guide and driver is very friendly and enthusiastic. He listens carefully to your wishes and wants you to have the best time. And it worked! Thank you African Pangolin Safaris and especially Mansoor.

        Amazing!
We would like to thank African Pangolin Safaris, especially guide Mansoor. We rode with Mansoor for a week. He is enthusiastic throughout the entire journey. Mansoor knows a lot about the country, the animals and nature and tells this with a lot of passion. We have learned a lot from him. Mansoor is a friendly man and listens to personal wishes regarding food, for example. It offers comfort and drives safely. In addition, Mansoor has a genuine interest in his passengers. You can tell that he enjoys the work and being in contact with people. The program has been adhered to and we believe it is the perfect plan. The program is versatile so you see and learn a lot about the country, culture and nature. The safaris were great! We would definitely recommend the trip.

        Excellent tour and service
We have recently done this safari and it really was an outstanding experience. We were unlucky at first because two times the tour was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions but in the end we made it, thanks also to the extraordinary flexibility and friendliness of the operator. Despite the weather and the ongoing rainy season, we managed to see most of the animals incl. several lions and a leopard. The communication with African Pangolin Safaris was very friendly and open. Due to two cancellations, the communication was very intense and at all times the operator was responsive, reliable and forthcoming. I can really fully confirm that we were provided an outstanding service. We chose African Pangolin Safaris in the first place for its good reviews and their rates which were competitive compared to other offerings. The service was top-notch and can only recommend them!

Jibu and Mansoor are the best team for this tour
Mansoor ( driver ) and Jibu ( tour guide ) are the best . They are very patient . Give us time to do all the things we need to see . Jibu is very knowledgeable about Tanzania . For a very short period of time he was able to explain to us the important history , current events , Tanzanian culture introduce us to Tanzanian food while we see all the places that was in the itinerary. This duo team are excellent . I wish I have more time to do a safari tour with this 2 guys .

        Unforgettable Safari Experience
My recent safari with Mansoor was nothing short of extraordinary. Set in the heart of the Tanzanian wilderness, the journey was a mesmerizing exploration of nature's beauty. The parks were hardy visited - unlike the Serengeti or the Ngorongoro... Our knowledgeable guide ensured close encounters with the lots of wild animals, allowing us to witness lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and lots more in their natural habitat. If you're in search of an inspiring journey through the wild, this safari with African Pangolin Safari is the ideal choice.

Awesome experience with African Pangolin Safaris
My partner and I had the pleasure of embarking on a 6-day private safari adventure in Tanzania, exploring the incredible wildlife and landscapes of Mikumi National Park, Ruaha National Park, and Udzwunga National Park with African Pangolin Safaris. What made this experience truly exceptional was our outstanding guide, Mansoor. His expertise was great. With his ability to spot animals, we had a chance of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos and many others. We even saw leopards on for days in a row, which is really rare. He also gave us interesting background information on the country, people, culture and wildlife in general. We drove in a nice and really new Toyota Landcruiser, the perfect safari car. Food was included and tasted good, we had a fridge in the car so there was cooled water all the time. you can book different levels of accommodation depending on your budget. we chose basic accommodation and the rooms were okay, mosquito nets were always included. The above mentioned national parks are really worth a visit as they are less crowded then the northern counterparts (Serengeti for example). We liked Ruaha NP best even though it takes a lot of time to get from A to B in Tanzania. The roads were good but there are lots of trucks on the road. Udzwunga NP is good for hiking, we did a 14km circuit- there are even possibilities of hiking for multiple days. So if you want to explore Tanzania’s wildlife and you are looking for a nice, friendly and reliable tour operator we warmly recommend to choose African Pangolin Safaris.

African Pangolin Safaris offered us, undoubtly, the best safari experience we could've asked for. Even though we travelled to Tanzania before with another company, this time we were much more satisifed with all the services we have recieved from our guide, Mansoor Mohamed, an extremley kind and gentle person, a "living encyclopedia" in the african wildlife domain and an exceptional driver also. We've spotted a lot of animals, we ate very tasty traditional food and the accommodations were extremely comfortable and clean. We can't wait untill next time when hopefully we'll travel again with this beautiful company to the Katavi NP and the west side of Tanzania.

the visits to the parks were a fascinating experience, very well organised and with very professional guides / drivers. We had a chance to see at close quarters and very calmly lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and a fantastic and beautiful array of birds. We asked a lot of questions to the drivers/guides and they always showed a great knowledge about the fauna and flora. They were also very nice and friendly. And the organisation fulfiled exactly the programme we had agreed.

We found the parks Mikumi, Ruaha and Nyerere (Selous) were a great choice, as the number of visitors was quite moderate thus facilitating the safari without hassle for the animals and making the experience very pleasant. The trip involved driving quite a few hours through dirt and tarmac roads, but this had the advantage of seeing the villages and people from very close.

Definitely it has been an experience we'll remember for ever
